Watched videos of Windass a few times but never seen him live, and cause its a play off, no holds barred, looking forward to it .

I've got a fiver on Windass for first goal.

Lads piece of humble pie if I may, I had a few beers watching the game yesterday and posted a slightly frustrated post, for which albeit it was absolutely on the money, only kidding! . As it might have annoyed a few fellow bears!

Anyway onto Tue night, the QOS on Sunday!

PS it was an early night!

Right here we go:

We have been lucky in the last few games with a 1 nil win v Falkirk, 1 nil against Raith, by not taking chances, did we not learn anything from these two games? And the Killie match, throw that in as well.

You can have 80% possession all day but if u can't compose and really hurt teams it will always come back and haunt, especially with our effort at defending that corner!

Simply put here, leave the field (even if it is a PITZ effort) with no regrets, not against Alloa, not against any team that we should be absolutely hammering.

We need to sort out what we r doing at corners, this shorty is not working, it is MW style, he's not budging on this, this is when we need players to challenge him, challenge the coaching staff, why can't Wilson or Kiernan, bully, nudge, just at least put in some sort of an effort into try and get something from a corner. I'm starting to think that scoring from a corner (straight no tippy tappy) is classed as cheating at Murray Park!

Not happy that with a game in hand and a game tonight we could be as close as 2 points only ahead!

Easy fix, add value on the pitch when it really matters, when the chips r down! Like we did against Hibs on the 28 of Dec!

Snapped!

The 1 nil wins weren't luck, the only lucky part was that it was only one nil, how can you possibly expect to win every game with a cricket score when the opposition has everybody behind the ball?

2.) 13 Feb 2016 20:27:24
Easy with the players that were added to add value on and off the pitch.

3.) 13 Feb 2016 18:36:33
3 points actually! Not that it matters as I'm confident it won't even get that close between us and Hibs.

Right fellow bears thought I would just gloat for a bit and post how our revitalised club, form, team, players, management, fans, (fans being the most important part according to the way the players interview post match, e. g. send them home happy) are going to do so much for Scottish football again, why? Because all other teams will be looking at us and learning how it should be done.

Double edged sword scenario, I would like us to be more secretive and keep the "good ideas" for ourselves. But that is modern day football with the media attention I suppose.

1.) 05 Feb 2016 06:49:52
I think they have already learnt from Ann Budge and Hearts FC.

2.) 05 Feb 2016 08:10:41
Waggy - Not sure we have a model in place that any other team in Scotland can learn from! We are currently dependant on loans from investors. Yes, these loans will be turned in to shares at a later date, however this will simply diminish the value of any future share option. We still have a very long way to go, although the signs are there of improvement, I would like DK to be a little less secretive and let us know what is going on in terms of getting into a share index and what he sees as a sustainable business model for the future!

3.) 05 Feb 2016 08:34:07
I think your being a bit too lavish with your praise of the team. We are still in the 2nd tier of one of the poorest football countries in Europe and should be beating teams every week given the difference in resources. Maybe this time next year (providing we go up) is the time to see where we are.

4.) 05 Feb 2016 09:35:17
Biffo, you are only as good as the teams you play mate. the fact that we are playing attractive, attacking football, and seem to almost have our house in order is amazing. I'd rather be us right now than most other teams in Scotland.

5.) 05 Feb 2016 13:13:12
Hearts have done what Rangers would have done under King and co, that's what happens when a club doesn't get exploited and is run properly after administration, what Ann budge has done at hearts is outstanding and I don't think she gets the credit she's due out with her own club, on another note what a game on Sunday hearts-hibs, that should be a cracker I'm keen to see how hibs measure up against them as it will tell me a lot about were both Edinburgh teams are plus it should be a right good battle.

6.) 05 Feb 2016 13:53:26
Let's not get carried away. Things are on the up but we still have a long, long way to go.

On the field we still need several higher quality players to close the gap on hearts, aberdeen and Celtic. The performance levels of the last few matches may be good enough to win in the championship but not in the spl. We might be able to challenge next season but fans expecting to win title next season are being totally unrealistic.

Off the field things may be getting done properly (at least DK says so, there isn't much information to back this up) but the legacy of the past few seasons will take years to repair- in the case of merchandise (among the most important) seven years.

7.) 05 Feb 2016 18:36:12
I think with a few arrivals in the summer we wouldn't be far away. Remember the clubs at the top of the league apart from them do not have anywhere near the fan base or resources we have. I'm be looking for at least second place and if they keep Delilah on I'd be expecting to at least push them all the way.

8.) 05 Feb 2016 20:57:19
Im sorry but for me only a handful, if any, of Aberdeen or Hearts players would come into our team.

In fact i can't really think of one of the Hearts players i'd take. Aberdeen, possibly Rooney, Jack and Shinnie. But the rest, too inconsistent.

They're being compared with what has to be one of the most piss poor celtic teams i've seen in a while.

We're not too far away, fear factor comes a long way too.

9.) 06 Feb 2016 14:53:41
We have now played 2 spl teams - thrashed by a mid table side and frustrated by a whipping boys. All this talk of winning spl next season belongs in carstairs hospital.

Right here we go, come tomorrow or Mon there is going to be a surprise! If it's not MOH it'll be someone else that will catch us all by surprise. The Billy King deal came totally out the blue! Why not another? If it's not MOH who might it be?

Hutts is a good right WB, could do us well for a few years and would add value to the team for sure, and let's not forget he loves the Gers, he's one of us, always has, so go easy on a fellow blue nose. The issue is money, he must have been clearing £20k + maybe? We can't pay that these days.

The other issue is Tav, but that's a good headache to have.

I do agree that Hutts would an expensive player for us to potentially sit on the bench, for now anyway, but I think we have ambitions of having quality sat on the bench, (rotating) if we don't we simply don't move forward as a team, so let's make it happen now and not sit on our hands!

Can't wait till Sat! !

I disagree with the comments on Nicky Law and Dean Shiels, they have a lot to offer and if we lose them the squad weakens! Fact! So as it stands there still Rangers players and we should not be trying to force them out the door as they have wore the jersey well and TBH there's more to come from both! Also another one if you want to get class players in at equal quality as them your having to dig deep. Ask ursel is Harry Forrester likely to be better than them? Is the lad fae Brentford? Hmmm!

Aye nae bother wee chubs! It might have been a post of frustration, but childish?! Too far! that's wat a couple of beers does to ye. I did miscalculate the points, (stupidly) but glad I did cause I feel better for that now knowing that we r in a better position than I first thought, I need to get the "gutties" aff when I'm counting!

PaB, I hope your right mate, I really do, I think the same but being a realist here, look at how they Hibees will see this, game now, against second bottom, game in hand, could get them to within 2 points, a home game against us, potential with there tails up could put them 1 ahead!

Depression! 😤 😡.

70 I agree fully, hardie needs a start! He's absolutely watering at the mouth for a game, but don't give the young guns a game, them park them for 20 plus games, give them a fighting chance.

That game today is a marker in the sand for something to change, style or set piece tactics, just get the ball in the box, after all that's where the goals are!

Nabdy mentioned Clark! Thought it was bell, Shiels n law? I think there will be a few out in the summer, some or most if not all will flourish at another club, as they have with us, but given a run in any team them 3 will do well. I think keep DS, for more in the likes of temps, Clark, law, bell there going to go, not unless they get a run out and produce pure n utter class.
