This season is almost done, and as good as the team performed in Europe I think we can all agree the league has been a major disappointment, they were their for the taking this year, we need 15 points for the remaining 5 games, no excuses, we all know that team is good enough just lacking consistency, we are rangers, wearethef***ingpeople🔴⚪️🔵.

1.) 11 Apr 2019 23:06:31
Was listening to a radio interview with an English league 1 manager, can't remember exactly who it was but they played at the highest level (might have been scholars when he was at Oldham) . They asked him what it was like working with players of lesser ability. His reply was that there wasn't any difference in ability to players at that level and EPL, he said the difference was in consistency. His players have him one cracking game in every 3 or 4 and at EPL level they are doing it most weeks.

That's where I think we are with a lot of our players. Yes they clearly have ability but fail to turn up a lot of the time. And that goes for most of them.

The only ones I can exclude from that would be Jack and Arfield. I think all the other players are too inconsistent or make too many unforced errors or their discipline let's them down.

Hopefully SG sees this as well and addresses it in the summer.

2.) 12 Apr 2019 01:13:47
Got to disagree with you, our most consistent player by a country mile this year is shagger, aye he’s done some stupid stuff but he's 10x better than any other keeper in the league, don’t disagree with the rest though but think we’ll make quite a few signing in summer, 2 or 3 quality players, and a few younger ones that’ll be squad players.

3.) 12 Apr 2019 08:49:46
Agreed, shagger is definitely in the same bracket. That's it for me.

Tavernier is close but too many positional errors/ lapses.

Borna is always injured, Halliday is decent, Goldson not physical enough, Worral too many unforced errors, Katic not played enough, Kamara will come good next year, Coulibaly disinterested, Kent no end product, Candeias no end product, Morelos just a fud that needs to realise he is single handedly ruining his career and wisen up!

30 Mar 2019 20:15:19
Tav Goldson Katic Halliday
Jack Arfield McCrorie
Candeias Morelos Kent

Team I would play Sunday if a was manager.

1.) 30 Mar 2019 21:13:17
Thats the team I'd play watfp👍.

2.) 30 Mar 2019 22:10:34
I agree that’s the starting line up for me.

Apparently Lennon has said he wants us crushed and humiliated tomorrow. Bring it on.

3.) 31 Mar 2019 11:28:40
spot on WATFP - that’s the team

it’s all about our attitude and character today

players must have the will to win.

13 Mar 2019 14:20:26
Call yourself rangers fans, it’s a joke how many people on here are sayin sack Gerrard and drop Morelos, 1 if we sack Gerrard we’d be back to square 1, he’s a better manager than warbs and Pedro that has been let down time and again by players he inherited, 2 why are people saying drop Morelos, by far our best player and without him in team we are pathetic, wouldn’t see any other fans in the world shouting about dropping their best player, I’m hurting as much as anyone today but as I said before get behind the team and give them a reason to play out of their skin.

1.) 13 Mar 2019 14:46:49
what makes you say he is a good manager? he is tactically inept

as for being let down by players he inherited, 8 of last nights starting line up were his signings as were the 3 subs

he is out of his depth and his transfer dealings have been poor.

2.) 13 Mar 2019 14:59:14
A true rangers fan will speak out against mediocrity WATFP👍.

3.) 13 Mar 2019 15:36:06
we have mediocrity for last many years, . gerrard isn't above criticism, as he says he picks the team, tactics, players. maybe he has to many players to choose from. were all true rangers fans with red white blue running through our veins. love stevie give him time, were doing ok but he isn't above criticism, he has got personal wrong many a time this season. i'm fully behind gerrard.

4.) 13 Mar 2019 16:27:43
Gerard is still in his first season as a manager . Not just his first in Scotland; not Just his first in charge of Rangers.
He has high standards, that currently are not being met by all the players, or himself, BUT, he will get there, or he will leave if he cannot. Patience is often hard thing to have in the Glasgow arena; 2 defeats and your bad, 3 and your useless.4? it seems its gtf.
Just keep the faith folks and remember the rubbish we had before he came.
another season and he will be closer; we don't have a fortune to spend, and haven't spent a huge amout in comparison to Celts. We will get there.

5.) 13 Mar 2019 17:07:07
Imagine if Man Utd had sacked Fergie after his 1st two poor seasons? Gerrard needs time and he is learning on the job as he goes. Yes he has made some poor decisions, but hopefully he will learn from them.

6.) 13 Mar 2019 18:58:50
Totally in the camp of our supporters who are still right behind our manager steven gerrard! I still back him to the hilt and believe he'll get it right and take us to where we all want to be. I totally trust the guy.

7.) 13 Mar 2019 19:15:47
You said the same about warbs and pedro and murty👍.

8.) 14 Mar 2019 03:29:59
Poor Stevie G. Didn't think he had done that bad for a first time relatively big job. But now he has the supercoop seal of approval. he is doomed😂😂.

9.) 14 Mar 2019 05:43:31
Future England Manager. Can we have a poll?

05 Mar 2019 23:03:59
Time and time again on here there’s constant negativity and people arguing we’re supposed to all support the same team so grow up and see the bigger picture, the players need out support even after the bad results, compared to some teams out there, we are average at best, but in Scotland we have the players to be the best team by a mile, the thing ave noticed is that so called rangers fans are happy to slag off our team and hound them with abuse whenever things don’t go as well as we would like, instead if we have any chance of winning anything this season we need all the fans to club together, support the team through the good and bad times and make Ibrox back into the place we all love, let's make it so that opposition players fear walking out of the tunnel and it’ll help the team get the results we need, it’s far too quiet on match days and if it wasn’t for the ubs there would be no atmosphere at all, they do sing some songs that have no business being sung in this day and age, but it’s up to the rest of us as fans to drown them out and stop them giving our club a bad name, give the players on the pitch a reason to give there all, sometimes it’s 2 minutes into a game and a pass doesn’t go to plan and you get our fans screaming at our players and how much of a discrace they are, let’s all get behind the team for the remainder of the season and if any fans at a game are hurling unnessecary abuse at our players then get them told, we are rangers, build on a legacy witch one constant has always been the fans and I we r to win anything again we need every rangers fan at Ibrox to get behind the team and it will drive them on to greatness and restoring us to our rightful place as the top team in Scotland.

1.) 06 Mar 2019 00:39:06
50,000 every other week proves that everyone supports the club, all the fans are asking for is the same level of commitment and consistency on the pitch. When the fans get that level then the fans won't come on here to vent. Sounding the battle cry amongst the fans won't change the fact that we are so inconsistent, that's down to the players and the management team, nice speech tho👍.

2.) 06 Mar 2019 07:03:10
Great speech and of course you are correct but this site is also about opinions of supporters and there are many posts regarding inconsistency. I do believe we have taken a massive leap in the right direction but yet again, inconsistency appears to have cost us the league. We need more attacking consistency and less dedensive play during games we are trying to win. The Aberdeen game would be a classic example of what HAS to stop in our playing style. Kamara has brought a midfield element we seriously lacked but he can't do it all himself. If the manky mob slip, we will be on their backs for sure but we need to keep winning to achieve this. All this aside, I know that WE ARE THE PEOPLE. 🇬🇧.

17 Feb 2019 20:01:18
Aww these people saying how ‘they knew Gerrard was the wrong person’ were probably the wan at the stadium cheering when he was unveiled, its a bad result but it’s no the end of the world, if the players go out an beat Killie 3-0 in the cup nobody would be slating the manager, get behind the team, the need it now more than ever this season, and if we were to sack Gerrard who would replace him?

I think we should swap hearts Lafferty holt and 1m tops for souttar and ikpeazu, Souttar will improve massively over next few years, he reminds me of harry maguire when he first at Hull, and ikpeazu would offer us a different kind of option up top, for probably a lot less money than Lafferty

Also think Wallace will end up back at hearts, wherever he goes I hope he does well, just no against us😂.

Kelly will be back at Ibrox as a rangers player 110%if not next season the season after.

Liverpool interested in a player plus cash deal with Kent staying permanently at Ibrox, £15 million and Morelos coming back on loan for a season, will be an excellent piece of business.

Morelos won’t be leaving for any less than 20 million, Everone knows that Morelos is by far the best player we have, and on here some fans saying we should take 8 million for him, there is no other striker like him outside of a massive club, he’s like third in Europe chances created behind messi and Mbappe and form like that doesn’t go unnoticed, every team in the premier League will be watching him along with most of the big European teams, if Morelos leaves in the summer it’ll be for no less than 20 million, so many teams watching will inevitably lead to a bidding war.

I completely agree that Kent is nothing special at all, the biggest bit of business for us this season will be by a country mile getting Jamie Murphy fit and back in the team.

Tommy that only works if there’s a half decent target man in Scandinavia, wouldn’t mind someone in the mould of a jelavic or a dado prso but I think it’s more likely we’ll sign an out of favour epl player like Austin or welbeck.

Said all along that Davis would come good, so many in here quick to judge a player when he comes in, every player who comes in needs to earn their place, and Davis is starting to do that now.

I think when tav leaves in the summer it will be a straight shootout between Davis and greegsy who will be captain. Personally greegsy would be class as captain but Davis edges it for me as he has been Northern Ireland captain for years.

Doiger you obviously do t know much about youth football, this is an area where Scottish teams have struggled for years, how to you turn promising youth players into first team starters, name a youth at rangers and who you would replace, their not good enough yet, need to remember their still teenagers, got a bit of growing to do, look at Ferguson from Aberdeen, stupid tackle in a cup semi when his team are already 2-0 down and a man down, really let down his team through 1 moment of not thinking, and Ajax have been bringing through youths for years, can’t just say if Ajax can do it so can we, difference is Ajax youths are good enough and can handle the pressure, rangers youths aren’t yet but we need to prepare them properly.

If the youth players were good enough they’d be playing every week, they need time with the reserves to grow into their bodies and let their footballing brain mature, all about preparing them so that when they do get a chance they are ready to take it, I like seeing youth players coming through as much as the next guy but if there no good enough yet it could damage them.
