Heard a Wee rumour from a source that I cannot name but has been correct in the past with ie Diouf, Bocanegra etc with the most recent being Wes Foderingham

The rumour I'm hearing is that Craig Gardner will be joining us in the summer

Ed or anyone else heard anything?

1.) 18 Dec 2015 09:57:37
Hes playing epl probably on 40k a week . How are we going to pay that type of money.

2.) 18 Dec 2015 10:36:22
No chance he'll come to us from West Brom. Be a massive wage cut.

3.) 18 Dec 2015 10:43:32
40k a week? You have to be joking lol he's on around 18k and isn't getting much game time and it's is a strong possibility that he will join,

Jamie Vardy is on like 10k a week at Leicester and look at him, just because they play in the BPL doesn't mean they automatically are unaffordable.

A few Players on under 20k pw

Matt Ritchie
Anya
Troy deeney
Mahrez
Brunt
McLean
Mason of Spurs
Boruc
Etc etc

Too many to even name.

4.) 18 Dec 2015 12:18:44
It was nice of those players to reveal their wages to you.
You didn't ask them if they were only at their clubs for the money, did you?

5.) 18 Dec 2015 12:59:25
Where does it say they revealed their wages? By saying that I'm wrong is stating that you know their wages?

6.) 18 Dec 2015 12:40:52
He's spoken of his support for Celtic before, and his wages are beyond us.

7.) 18 Dec 2015 13:59:50
Jamie Vardy is on 50k a week that is 10k under the cap for LCFC i know this for certain, my boss knows jamie well also knew that if they had got relegated last season his wages would have dropped to £5000 per week, most EPL teams have huge wage cut clauses in the contracts should a team be relegated.

8.) 18 Dec 2015 14:03:50
We shouldn't be paying anywhere near 20 grand a week.

9.) 18 Dec 2015 16:37:23
50k a week hahahaha nowhere near tht he was playn non league football b4 he he went to leicester city and there's no way the would give him 50k a week.

10.) 18 Dec 2015 18:56:43
Vardy, Mahrez, Deeney are all well over 18k a week I don't know where you're getting this information from but I don't think you realise the contracts Watford and Leicester are paying now that they're playing in the EPL, realistically we couldn't afford any of the players you mentioned I don't even think warbs has signed anyone over 8k a week.

11.) 19 Dec 2015 06:57:02
We don't need premiership players simple as that we need young hungry players to play for the jersey and to be honest use us as a platform we are a SELLING club unless something drastic happens in the tele deal.

12.) 19 Dec 2015 11:12:19
Connorg0409 vardy ain't on that mate again he was playn non league football b4 leicester and there's no way they going 2 give him that but when he signs a new contract he will treble that.

What about for next season if possible we convert Tavernier to a RW and sign Paterson from Hearts? Again if possible?

WeeCubby1872

1.) 12 Apr 2016 07:29:24
WeeCubby, I'm not so sure about Paterson, but I am sure that Tavernier would be more than comfortable in a 4-4-2 system, playing wide right in the mid-field. Again it is all about how MW sees it.

2.) 12 Apr 2016 08:06:37
That would make sense as I have stated before I think he is weak denfensively. Defiantly buy a right back and play him RW.

3.) 12 Apr 2016 08:34:33
No doubt Tav could play in midfield but next season I can see Warbs opting to play a DM player alongside Halliday and Holt.

4.) 12 Apr 2016 08:44:40
Aye drap a winger like ohalloran or McKay and tell them the right backs playing instead.

5.) 12 Apr 2016 09:02:35
Can't disagree with the guys who've said rangers should move james tavernier one position forward on our right side and find a class right back to play behind tav, i said as much myself weeks ago on here, tav is superb going forward and a very good footballer but his defensive side of his game is his only weakness, he's more of a modern day right wing-back.

28 Dec 2015 18:02:20
Well today I think is by far the best we have played all season apart from the Raith Rovers game.

The centre backs looked more assured with not playing as high a line as usual, was a stroll in the park and Barry McKay some of the passes he picks out are second to none imo.

Nicky Law what a difference he made today playing instead of Zalalem and Shiels.

Only downside today for me was Kenny Miller he has be rank rotten the past few weeks and young Hardie needs a few games soon I would think.

Anyway great performance, onwards and upwards.

1.) 28 Dec 2015 18:09:38
Great result - enough said tonight

Well done Rangers

Thanks.

2.) 28 Dec 2015 18:11:24
Was on earlier saying I'd backed Rangers and was hoping for a fantastic game, atmosphere and the right result.

Well really enjoyable game and the right result, the atmosphere was cracking at times too but spoiled by thousands of fans continually singing songs that have no place at Ibrox in the 21st century.

Feel the team are back on track now and looking forward to 2016.

3.) 28 Dec 2015 18:28:49
Well hopefully some of our fans can calm down a bit a section of them had us beat today before ko! going into 2016 on top and am 100% that's where will be come end of April! 👍🏿.

4.) 28 Dec 2015 19:46:30
CUBBY

What game were you at?
McKay never completed a pass and checked his runs to avoid responsibility. He was a major disappointment again.

5.) 28 Dec 2015 19:47:01
CUBBY

I agree with you about Miller.

6.) 28 Dec 2015 20:22:31
I fully agree our best performance should have scored 6 though, totally outplayed Hibs in every area.

7.) 28 Dec 2015 18:47:04
Aye 40 thousand at least were singing them. Like it or not its always going to be there.
The younger guys I understand as I did it myself in the 70s and to a lesser extent the 80s but I see these men in there 50s and 60s still doing it and I despair. Values are plummeting rather than improving I'm afraid. But so proud of the team today. Brilliant stuff Miller aside, he's an empty shirt.

8.) 28 Dec 2015 21:46:09
deeb honestly man Mckay is a great player he was our out ball all afternoon give him a break at 20 years old i think he is a great talent.

28 Dec 2015 12:05:08
Would like people's opinions on who if any from the top flight of the spl would you like us to sign in the summer if we get promoted, I would love us to sign these players if possible.

Kenny McLean
Andrew shinnie
Peter Pawlett
Sam Nicholson best young player in Scotland imo
Callum Paterson
Juanma

Obviously not all of them but just a few that I rate, anyone agree of have their own wish list?

WeeCubby1872

1.) 28 Dec 2015 12:21:54
Every time I've seen jonny hayes I've been impressed with him quick direct and solid.

2.) 28 Dec 2015 13:16:52
really don't think any of them the only 2 that i would be interested in o'halloran or greg stewart and at a push hayes.

3.) 28 Dec 2015 14:03:19
Got to say cummings and mcginn.

4.) 28 Dec 2015 15:50:01
Jackson Irvine,
Nicholson or king both impressive
Paterson is the best right back in Scotland so if we could sign him it would be hard to say no lol

Quite like kiltie and Slater at Kilmarnock

John souttar
Josh meekings.

5.) 28 Dec 2015 17:32:58
Davie
Don't want the Hibs pair. Cummings is a corner boy and McGinn isn't good enough. They actually did us a favour rescinding the red card as he was about as useful as a man short.

13 Aug 2015 22:02:28
2 weeks ago Celtic fans were on Twitter slating us over the hype over Scott Allan saying he is rubbish and that's why he's with hibs

Fast for 2 weeks and they're all over Facebook and Twitter saying he is the best young talent in Scotland

If true and they have offered 600k plus mcgeouch permanent and McGregor they are vastly over paying in my opinion

4 year deal apparently

The only way I can see us getting him now is if he pay what Celtic are paying offer dean shiels and him back on loan for the season would suit everyone?

If he was that good though let's face it he would be in England

WeeCubby1872

1.) 14 Aug 2015 08:12:56
He was in England . then came back after not making it??Utd had asked him to stay as it would be beneficial for his football learning .followed the money instead,so don't be thinking he is anyway loyal in his thoughts.

14 Aug 2015 00:30:30
Does it really matter if selic sign Scott allan? If he was as good as the commotion suggests let's face it he wouldn't be at hubs would he?

Plus either way it weakens hibs they are still losing their best Player, let's face it whether he joins them or not our objective is to get promoted

WeeCubby1872

1.) 14 Aug 2015 09:48:42
Don't think it will weaken them. There getting two decent players plus cash to replace him.

I have read a few of your posts over the past few days and can honsestly say that every time it's basically a shot in the dark guess work

There is absolutely no way that Aberdeen are interested in Scott Allan and there is nothing to suggest there is.

Scott Allan will not sign for Rangers and will join an un named English championship club in January.

Biffo do you ever post anything positive? Haven't hibs and Falkirk lost all games against us at ibrox? We were naive yesterday and thought the game was won and the manager made some wrong decisions, the league is woman's imo brought off our best players to prevent any injuries, imo if we weren't so far ahead in the league none of the subs for the players would have been made, onwards and upwards.

The 1 nil wins weren't luck, the only lucky part was that it was only one nil, how can you possibly expect to win every game with a cricket score when the opposition has everybody behind the ball?

Waggy

That's has got to be the most childish post I've ever seen that's meant to be serious.

We are 9 points clear, huge goal difference and already u have hibs as winning the 2 games in hand and beating us at home, get a grip.

Biffo we have better players than Kilmarnock therefore our chance is easier than theirs, that chance was at an angle and a really don't think it was that clear of a chance, Martyn Waghorn missed two sitters in my opinion and Harry Forrester should have scored aswell but hey that's the way I see it.

Biffo how can you say Kilmarnock had the best chance? Waghorn missed 2 clearcut that should and would have been tap ins on another day, Ball had a good game not because Kilmarnock had a lot of play but because he was composed and looked the part and made a few good passes and interceptions, as for Forrester, he has been gradually getting better each week but agree that he hasn't got much time and can't see him being here next season unless we are still in the championship.
