is there any more business to be done today?
can any of the ed's shed any light?

{Ed001's Note - sorry no idea.}

1.) 31 Aug 2017 14:48:28
Just read we have offered Hearts cash plus Holt for walker

2.) 31 Aug 2017 15:08:23
Just read that it was hearts who have came to us asking for holt plus cash so that's even better if they're chasing us.

3.) 31 Aug 2017 16:21:01
This deal makes little sense to me. Holt can be a decent squad player. why would we offer a player plus cash when we can snap walker up for nothing at the end of the season?

4.) 31 Aug 2017 16:31:57
Sorry but you heard wrong

5.) 31 Aug 2017 17:58:10
Was in the paper. Whether it's true or not is anyone's guess

6.) 31 Aug 2017 18:22:47
Be a good deal as we have lots of cms and although I like holt and he works had, he will struggle for a game this year I think. Plus one less average player to compete with for the youngsters.

He need to take a pay cut tho.

30 Aug 2017 12:29:43
Seen rangers are supposed to be in for a kid called Declan John from cardiff, can play full / wing back, 22 years old and from Cardiff.

Would be a loan deal. the s*n reported it.

1.) 30 Aug 2017 12:44:47
One of the few rumours I have first hand knowledge on. he a decent left back who has been in the fringes and of the first team for a while. People say would do him good to get a fresh start. Cardiff fans think his contracts up at the end of the season and reckon we ll pick him up for a development fee upon expiry if we loan him.

2.) 30 Aug 2017 12:56:18
Very uninspiring!

3.) 30 Aug 2017 13:29:13
Wasn't this lad seriously competing with Ben Davies for the LB position for Wales a few years back?

Last time I checked Davies was playing a part in one of the best teams in England.

4.) 30 Aug 2017 14:21:46
Looks like a good bit of business if we are indeed getting declan john on loan he has played for Wales a few times.

5.) 30 Aug 2017 14:46:30
He did not really come on the way he should have but, as said, might need another pop with a new team. definitely worth a punt.
He is a very attack minded wing back though so those that don't like they way our defenders play will still not like him either.

6.) 30 Aug 2017 14:58:06
He's got a few Wales caps, played in most of there ages groups and has some championship and premier league experience. Getting the lad on loan with his contract ending at end of season is surely a win win.
We need another left sided player that can play LB or LM. Don't think we should b paying hearts the 1M so this gives us cover

18 aug 2017 13:59:00
harry forrester has moved to wimbledon! yasssss

1.) 18 Aug 2017 16:32:27
Wonder if he will score this weekend like all other old boys

2.) 18 Aug 2017 17:06:36
I'm more concerned about who scores for us at the weekend, not ex players

3.) 18 Aug 2017 17:12:12
wonder how much that cost us

4.) 18 Aug 2017 17:19:33
Reports in newspapers are that it's a year loan. If it gets rid of 50% of his wages then better off than letting him rot in the reserves.

5.) 18 Aug 2017 17:22:22
S**t - of all the club's he has to choose afcw: ( Ardley and cox won't take any snash from him that for sure - at least he's gone from Ibrox :)

6.) 18 Aug 2017 20:45:16
No its transfer (not loan)

7.) 19 Aug 2017 00:30:36
'arry was a player with decent ability but wrong attitude out partying too often

hopefully recent departures of him along with waggy MoH kiernan etc off wage bill we can go get walker in

also wonder if moult knocking back a new contract could be pedro about to swoop?!

8.) 19 Aug 2017 20:44:38
I see waggy and garner both scored again today! Wtf!

9.) 19 Aug 2017 21:11:38
And McKay and ohalloran. Wtf. I am sure it's the way we play tactics, formation and service bring goal from forwards. We don't have them right clearly

19 Jun 2017 15:11:41
rangers sign Alfredo morelos on 3 year contract.

1.) 19 Jun 2017 15:34:02
Welcome to the most successful club in the world Morelos 🇬🇧

2.) 19 Jun 2017 16:50:34
Pena and Herrera signed too

14 Jun 2017 14:30:18
Rangers have agreed a two year extension with '32red' as shirt sponsor

(source: rangers twitter)

1.) 14 Jun 2017 14:38:38
Just seen this. That blows the Sports Direct sponsorship rumour out of the water then. I thought we may have been finally be done with this merchandising nonscense.

2.) 15 Jun 2017 11:13:43
im not a fan of 32 Red on our shirt being a betting company, but i'd mich rather have that than Sports direct

3.) 15 Jun 2017 11:15:00
sponsors have nothing to do with manfactureres and if they are paying the most then i don't see the problem with it

Ed or anyone that knows, the new signing Barisic. Is he able to play in europe for us this season? If so, what games is he able to come in and play for us?

{Ed039's Note - group stages onwards I believe if we are fortunate enough)

12 Jun 2018 14:52:39
Does anybody know when the players report back for pre season training? Only assuming it will be soon.

Also, absolutely buzzing about new signings that are coming in!

1.) 12 Jun 2018 15:08:43
Friday I believe

2.) 12 Jun 2018 15:41:50
Yes Friday except those on wc duties hopefully any more new signings will be completed this week so they all start pre season together

3.) 12 Jun 2018 15:44:53
Thursday the 14th i think. Then fly out for training on 17th.

4.) 12 Jun 2018 15:52:11
Friday it is then off to spain on the 17th

26 Oct 2017 14:55:43
That's Pedro officially sacked!

23 Oct 2017 15:58:18
It was painful being at Hampden yesterday, there was no fight, no passion. Simply not good enough.

Alnwick - Had a couple of decent saves (espicially the one at the end of the first half) But MY GOD, he didn't once come and demand his box at a corner. Looked incredibly vulnerable at corners. The second goals was class, but again he's been caught off his line and almost watched it go over his head.

Tav and John - Thought they tried to go forward as much as possible. But, ultimately definsevley poor, and weak. Motherwell's wingers almost bullied them at times. I would play john left mid when wallace gets fit again.

Cardoso and Alves - One word springs to mind. 'BOMBSCARE'. Absolutely dreadful yesterday, I can't actually remember cardoso winning a header, McCrorie has to be in front of him. A far better a player and one of our own. Alves is supposed to be an experienced world class defender, he got run ragged by Moult and Ryan Bowman. Shocking.

Windass - Get to f**k. The boy is brutal, doesn't have a footballing brain and shouldn't be in the team.

Candieas - Can't fault him for trying, but should be using his pace more to get in behind the defence and crosses were poor.

Dorrans and Jack - I feel these two guys (besides Celtic's center mids) are among the best pair of Cm's in the league. But after yesterday they got bullied, there was no flair at all between them. No link up play. I was pretty disappointed by these two, And with them both being Rangers Supporters you would think they would show some passion and fight.

Pena - Iv'e been pretty unsure about this guy, his actual play has been shocking. First touches, passes etc. But he has been scoring goals. This would have been a good stage for him to show everyone that he has ability. But he instead showed everyone how poor at football he really is.

Morelos - I actually feel sorry for this kid, he put himself about yesterday and you could see he was fustrated. He has no service, he had a couple of chances and didn't take them. Let's hope the goals haven't dried up for him.

Pedro - I was a small percentage of fans that wanted to give Pedro time, but on the big occasions we have simply not turned up. It's been poor. You can't see what sort of direction he is going with the team, we are also showing a lack of energy near the end which tells us fitness is an issue. It looks like there is a split between the players, between the foreign players and Scottish.

I'm worried for the rest of the season now, we need to get a good run on the go to build all the players confidence and the fans. I honestly don't know (of the top of my head) what manager would want to come to this mess at the moment.

1.) 23 Oct 2017 17:46:09
Good post ally . Bang on the money . The cheap option would be MacLeish until end of the season if we got rid of Pedro although can we afford to sack him? I like Pedro and was willing to give him a chance, however some of the stuff he has been coming out with and the fall out with Miller who has been a great servant to the club have been embarrassing . I don’t think mcleish is the answer although he would definitely get the players playing for the jersey .

2.) 23 Oct 2017 18:42:16
It was good that Brendan came out about the abysmal state of Scottish refereeing. Said 4 players should have been sent off, 3 steelmen and Bruno.
OK we were poor, but we are not helped by the officials who blatantly ignore the rules.

3.) 23 Oct 2017 17:56:01
I agree with most of your post but I’m not going to shout for his head just yet but jury is out big time think he needs one more transfer window we need a left winger (Walker) a striker (Moult) and a midfielder (McLean) if we had just spent a bit more in last transfer window we would have been in the final as for Pena he has been poor never a number 10 but he is now becoming the scape goat not one player played well yesterday yes question the manager but every player needs to look in the mirror and ask did I give my all yesterday?

4.) 23 Oct 2017 21:58:51

The managers time is up and needs to go

19 Sep 2017 12:51:15
I know we have an important game tonight against Thistle (i'd consider it important as it's potential silverware) but, The big game is really on Saturday. I have to admit, with everyone including some Gers fans thinking that we will take an absolute pounding i'm quietly confident of a result. And a result being a draw or a win. Most fans seem to forget that anything can happen on a Old Firm game, your previous games and your first XI goes all out the window in my opinion on Old Firm games. You just have to look at the Semi Final a couple of years ago, and even the one before that when we lost 2-0 with in my opinion one of the worst rangers teams in history of the club and half of Celtics team that day still playing for them or still in there starting XI today.

I'm sure there will be even more examples of surprising results on both sides of the coin from the past. And let's hope Saturday is another one.

So what everyone's thoughts for the big day?

1.) 19 Sep 2017 15:40:24
I think celtic will come out all guns blazing and think they already have it won but I've got a feeling dorrans will be the game changer he's a diehard rangers man and this is his first old firm he will be buzzing out his tits and probably be running on purr adrenalin. If morelos scores one i'm sure he will be kicked until he reacts and from what I've saw he will bite straight away. Few red cards and a rangers win. Scott brown sent off first put a tenner on it. Here we go.

2.) 19 Sep 2017 16:10:03
Im actually struggling to see us even getting a draw to be honest but i hope i'm wrong. as for the form book phrase i actually think that's a myth.9 times out of 10 the form team very rarely gets beat

3.) 19 Sep 2017 16:28:31
In the words of Clubber Lang

"PAIN" **Mean look on face**

Genuinely fearful for this one, that lot are streets ahead in terms of ability, managerial skill, pace, confidence and winning mentality.

I am not having a go at the manager, it is what it is, but IF we fail to win tonight then take a thumping on Saturday then its "Tchau Pedro" - it simply has to be. People will say its too soon, only time will tell.

4.) 19 Sep 2017 16:57:58
Depends on what team Pedro picks to be honest. Wit injuries and players off form his options are limited.

Hopefully Celtic will underestimate us and we can pull off a win.

Morelos and miller as scorers and 2-1 to Rangers

5.) 19 Sep 2017 17:29:42
Baz the bear

I very much doubt they will under estimate us and I've got the feeling they will want to score as many as they can. Yes they are full of themselves and think they are better than they are but still too good for us

6.) 19 Sep 2017 18:53:37
Sparky that's a cracker mate "they think they are better than they are", we know EXACTLY where we are.
We are invincible domestically and streets ahead at home, however in Europe our target last year was CL (gained), this year 3rdplace in group. You would have to be on Mars not to know this from a football point of view.
As for YOUR club last season you were "going for 55" if u believe that lol and many of you did.
Even this pre season many on here were spouting you will win the league.
You are already 5 behind and league could be over on sat so it looks to me that there is only 1 team that don't know where they are.
Can you spot the difference?

7.) 19 Sep 2017 20:42:38
Blah blah blah Rayman. We're getting better and have it in us to really give a team a hiding. We are just not consistent enough at the moment but we have practically a new team so we just need to build a bit of a better understanding. I think we have a lot more to offer than the results have shown.

No doubt Celtic are favourites for the game, rightly so based on form and how long they have been playing together but anything can happen and if we play to our full potential then we can beat them. no doubts about that either.

8.) 19 Sep 2017 20:55:57

Your manager boldly predicted that his team would shock PSG last week. Didn't exactly pan out that way did it? He obviously thinks your better than what you really are.

9.) 19 Sep 2017 23:26:45
Rangers won't win this. Yes results can be strange but the task is to improve. The Result on Saturday is second to the need for Rangers to show they are heading in right direction. That means winning 6 or 7 on the bounce. let's see what happens tonight then you can make predictions about saturday. Celtic will walk the league so Rangers need to prioritise winning some silverware

10.) 19 Sep 2017 23:28:24
AllyR : why not just do as you suggest and stick your head in the sand and hope for the best.
Otherwise know as Pedros tactics. :)

11.) 19 Sep 2017 23:34:54
Bears understand one thing. we don't under estimate your team we simply do not fear your team. You will be shown respect but the class of celtic will win through. You should be focusing your attention on your board and asking where the loans are coming from to keep your team afloat till the new year.

12.) 20 Sep 2017 13:20:46
Sparky is that all you got?
No manager in history has predicted his team is going to lose, if the manager doesn't believe then nobody will.
He has said time and time again the priority was CL qualification and the treble.
This is the real world and your not in it.

Wilson has played well the last few games since coming back from injury, but if he is holding out for bigger wages the guy can get on his bike. There are definitely other centre half's out there that can do a job.

What planet are you on?! Of course majority of players that move to our league are wanting a big money move down south.

As long as he put a graft in and scores goals up here i couldn't care less if he has his sight on a move next season. If we sell him, we go out and find a replacement.

Wouldn't agree with that, think herrera can put himself about a lot more than dodoo. He finished his goal really well at the weekend, and with getting to know the british game i reckon he won't be a bad player. Dodoo needs game time, but has potential to become a good player. Loan move is definitely the best thing for him.

I'm not sure at all what the deal is with Ashley so forgive me if i'm being stupid.

But is it not in his best interest also to get a deal struck with us and he also can make some good money from the kit sales? It is becoming a massive joke that no one in the stadium except the players have the new kit.

Deluded, he scored loads of goals for us last season when he eventually played in the position that suits him. Silly comment.

All the best to Windass.

Shouldn't need VAR for a incident that was right in front of him. There was no one even blocking his view, it's embarrassing that our officials are getting big calls wrong so often.

Exactly, Not the first manager to loose to celtic like this recently. He came in when nobody else would, and we have had some really positive resulyts. Likle the way he comes accross in interviews, but ultimately when you have a rubbish board like us it was always going to be a uphill battle.
