Chris maguire become a free agent.

Anyone think he would do ok for us. Only 27 and would say he would fit the style of play we have atm.

Right who had bets on a deal for billy king?

Thats one right out of the blue.

Hope we have an option to buy the lad because I think he's a very good player!

Anyone else getting bored with the messages about us not stumping up the money other teams want for their players and that we aren't going to sign anyone. Feels like these boys think its the end of the world and it's all going tits up because of a lack of transfer activity.

Pipe down people! Best football in years, top of the table and a team that will get us out of the league. No need to panic we will strengthen in the summer for the top league challenge.

The hat says he's hopefuly going to add couple of faces by monday, if so, brilliant, if not, so be it. people seem to forget. if hibs and falkirk lose or draw anytime soon, there up the creek without a paddle.

with our standing and scottish football as a whole does anyone have any gripes that we are now a stepping stone to the EPL?

bringing players in young and on the cheap and selling on for a massive profit to the likes of Sunderlands and West Broms with their riches from TV money.

Spot on andy

I have no issue with that look how good we defended with Cuellar and we can still be a breeding ground for the Super League 5 countries but benefit from the year or two we have this type of player

Hoping this is te future with the 2 Dubyas

Other than the spell that English clubs were excluded from European competition, I think we always have been a stepping stone to the top league south of the border. There were some notable exceptions only because crazy money was on offer. It is the only sensible way forward. Not many Boumsongs about these days, especially when there is no scouting system.

18 Jun 2015 15:27:55
so with what we have left and the names we have been linked with so far what would your team be for the new season?

Mcgregor Wilson Kiernan
RWB Wallace
Allan Murdoch Dallas
Clark Miller

Not sure who would be best at RWB. Like Sinammon as RB but not seen enough to go as RWB and sure there are free agents that we could pick up for there. Also Miller for now but could easily be replaced with Hardie or Gallagher if they impress in pre season or even a proven goalscorer brought in

Is the whole point of the DoF not similar to Southampton?

The club have a philosophy on the types of players and style of football they want to play. Anyone brought to the club has to fit in with all of that and that includes the manager. The manager will no doubt identify weak areas to be strengthened and will have his own opinions on who to recruit which is up to the scouting to asses if the player fits the requirement. This should give a continuity to a tram even if the manager is sacked or leaves.

Something that southampton implemented years ago and its been a massive success. From lower leagues to high PL finishes on this method with players being sold for massive profits. Really can't see what peoples issues with this are. All i think is it is a total misunderstanding of what the roles involve

Why would wright leave a management position to be an assistant? If he like ferguson and sitting in the lowest league with clyde then ok it could make sense but prem manager with no doubt suitors down south for his management skills or a rangers assistant. doesn't make sense

I would genuinely keep a good few of those on your list.

Fod has played well. Just dint feel confortable with playing out from the back but brilliant shot-stopper

Wilson is a good player just needs a bit of experience beside him as seen when he has hill alongside

Garner can mix it up upfront and puts himself on the line. Just need a peoper goalscorer to compliment him. Kinda like a hateley mccoist partnership

Waghorn gives the same effort as kenny does and we know we need to replace the king pretty soon

Windass needs a run of games to get confidence and i think he would be a star

I have to agree. Been really impressed with him the past few games. He has been solid and keeps it simple. Bit of an effect on Wilson as well.

Looks like he understands Rangers a lot better as well and is coping with the pressures thatcome with playing for thecluv.
