I've just been told that managing director Stewart Robertson and someone my contact didn't know but fits the description of Mark Allen, have been spotted in a top London hotel. Could the interview process be getting underway?

1.) 01 Nov 2017 08:08:00
Would they not be better holding the interviews in Scotland as this is where our top target lives

2.) 01 Nov 2017 08:26:50
The only people saying our top target lives up north is the media I've a feeling it will not be Mark Allen will have a big say in who it will be

3.) 01 Nov 2017 11:49:25
if u go on the forums including this one its a lot more than the media saying this .
infact if u thinkaboutit most of our fans want mcinnes i wanted him before pedro and i want him now .

the only thing i would say is that if our fans get on his back and expect a turn around in 5 games or something like that then he is doomed from the start just as any other manager is if we don't all get behind him.

time to show how good our fans are and get right be3hind whoever is the next manager of our graet club

4.) 01 Nov 2017 12:39:18
I think we need to get this "the media is against us" nonsense away from us. That's how that other team and their fans behave so a lot of our fans need to stop behaving like them with their conspiracy theories rubbish. Pedro played right up to that large element.

5.) 01 Nov 2017 12:52:02
dont think for a second that the media are not bias just don't let it bother us as why should we care what tabloids say the only thing that's kills me is that barry ferguson one of my favourites works for that

6.) 01 Nov 2017 13:41:19
read bill leckies opinion from the weekend if you aren't sure. comments include "not caring" if we went to the wall again and tarring all fans as bigots while insulting us for still turning out in massive numbers. that's from the "journalist of the year". the entire footballing nation hates us and if that's how they want it they can all go to hell. there products pish anyway

7.) 01 Nov 2017 14:13:45
i think you will find Mcinnes is not what most fans want but only a few do. McLeish Allardyce McCall are all wanted too.

Mcinnes is mediocre and a 'hope for the best' appointment, nothing more. People are wearing their blue tinted specs again. He played for Rangers and has Aberdeen 2nd therefor he is the man.

What calibre of player will be tempted by Mcinnes? bang average that's what type. It would be a short sighted appointment for me.

If he gets it then fine, he might last 2 seasons. If that's the case is that what we want, constant change?

8.) 01 Nov 2017 16:37:48
peds you know fine, unless new manager brings instant success the fans will be on his back, some asking for time others saying he has had enough. going to be difficult for whoever comes on with fanbase already split on who we want

9.) 01 Nov 2017 17:57:17
cant recall a single time an entire fanbase chose one candidate, nature of the beast. key thing is wee give full support to who is chosen, regardless if he was our personal choice or not

10.) 04 Nov 2017 21:40:40
Peds11 I don't know what sites you've been on mate but a survey of three of the biggest ones devoted to Rangers shows about 80% AGAINST the appointment of McInnes as manager of the club. Some said it would be easier to hoist the white flag and I totally agree with that.

30 Oct 2017 08:51:18
Just heard, it's definitely McInnes who is the board's first choice. This is from a senior member of the non-playing staff who reports straight to the directors. Not my choice by a million miles, but there it is.

28 Oct 2017 07:41:28
The board has been monitoring this situation for a while. They have a shortlist and will also invite other applications. I'm told one candidate they fancy already has a job but depending on how things go for him in three weeks, he might be open to an approach. He's Marc Wilmots, currently bossing Ivory Coast, who will qualify for the World Cup if they beat Morrocco in November. If they lose, he'll walk. I also heard that at an Ibrox function tonight, the two names being fired around were Robbie Neilson and Barry Ferguson. Make of that what you will, but remember the reason I'm putting on here is because it's a rumour.

1.) 28 Oct 2017 11:53:03
don’t you fancy the job big sam?!

to finnish 6th, 7th twice and 8th in EPL with a team like Bolton is remarkable - where are they now.

c’mon big man yer folks are scottish get up here and re-awake the sleeping giant

I've been in touch with an old colleague who is a Hammers fan and has a hospitality box at the London Stadium. He's also a Rangers man and reckons we would be extremely foolish not to look at Bilic as he is a top manager who had a rough time at West Ham with moving to a new stadium and little backing from the board, even though the players supported him. I've checked and he seems to have a terrific CV, is intelligent and passionate and knows the game inside out.

1.) 07 Nov 2017 04:07:42
was it this summer with the forty million spent or the summer before with seventy six million that they failed to back him in?

2.) 07 Nov 2017 07:38:34
I encountered some unhappy West Ham fans on a train on Saturday evening after the Liverpool game and they were all appalled at the prospect of Moyes taking over from Bilic should he be sacked. I told them that it would be good news for Rangers fans as it would mean that Moyes wouldn't be going to Ibrox then I swiftly left the train!

3.) 08 Nov 2017 12:06:23
My god bigsam you don't half talk garbage. The board failed to back bilic, the guy spent about 100 mil.

4.) 08 Nov 2017 12:14:29
Snell, only four teams spent less than West Ham during the summer, they recouped 75% of their spend on selling players. The year before they had a net spend of £37m, less than half of the £76m you allege. Still, why let the facts get in the way of your prejudices? I was merely pointing out that as a manager he's miles above the likes of McInnes and possibly somebody we should look at.

peds11, not only is your post stupid, crass and insulting to the vast majority of fans who don't want your love fantasy as Rangers manager, you damned your own man with it. 'He made Aberdeen better' seems to be your one and only reason for giving this nonentity of a manager the biggest job in Scottish football - a job which will require him to show a measure of success over the next 3-4 years as that's where we expect a third of our income to come from.

As for McLeish, you've chosen a single candidate who has very little backing amongst the fans to try to deflect from your nonsense that Derek McInnes 'will do the same for us' with absolutely nothing to back that up. A failure in Englands third tier, an abject failure in Europe, and you see him as our saviour because he made the sheep shaggers a wee bit better. Aye right.

Goram: 'This is my final post on the subject, Moyes will get the gig'. Who said that less than 48 hours ago? Remember?

Whereas if we appoint McInnes they will be celebrating double time as their two nearest rivals have just been badly weakened.

Doesn't tick a single box for many thousands of fans. A huge backward step and a signal that we're no longer in the business of catching and overtaking The Hoops.

But a poll on here says more fans want Murty if it was a two horse race between him and McInnes. Kind of damages your assertions a wee bit, Wee Bear.

parky7720, maybe because he hates our club with a passion?

Makes him a far more attractive candidate than mediocre McInnes

Corks77, I agree wholeheartedly with every single word in your post mate. De Boer was always my choice and I've put up exactly the same arguments against the appointment of the highly mediocre McInnes.

Highland bear, it's because peds11 is obsessed with wee Del and seems to have a death wish for our club.
