Clearly there are some MINOR frailties in the Rangers side after the St Johnstone game.

Personally I would say that, there are always going to be concerns with Rangers getting hit on the break. We are an attacking team, and its great to see. We control games and its exciting to watch. Yes the opponents can thump it forward and hope to out pace the central defenders, but that's about it.

From watching Brentford, it's clear that this is always an issue. But MW solution is to score more than them.

Personally I love the way we play. It's great to watch.

Once we are in Europe, I wonder what will happen.

In Walters first spell we weren't too successful in Europe (apart from 92 / 93). And in his second spell he realised we needed to be defensive. And in the UEFA cup run, we defended the whole time. It was terrible to watch, but it got us to the final!

I agree with that. But I would rather watch the game last week that what they did to get to the final. We r doing good as long as we get back to the premier

Ally mcCoist linked with being a pundit on BT Sport!

At least he is not going to continue in management for now.

I would love to hear his comments on rangers style of play now compared to the rubbish he had us playing.

Dave Kings comments about wanting to bring the oldco out of liquidation and move assets into it.

I am not sue about this. To play I n Europe I think you need 3 years worth of accounts, which rangers will now have. Surely if we then started to move things over to the oldco, we would then have to wait 3 years to get back into Europe.

I am probably wrong, but if anyone has more information then comment.

Personally I don't see a difference from this rangers to the old rangers. The only ones who do see a difference are fans of other Scottish teams. As that's the only ammunition they have on rangers. They continually refer to rangers as sevco, but it's rangers and we all know it

Creative, that's because there's no difference in Rangers fc, some haven't worked it out, but will eventually, slow people.

2.) 11 Sep 2015 14:09:49
cbeattie, it's pie in the sky talk to deflect from the difficulties the club are facing. Whyte and Green both used the same tactics. Talk of buying the liquidated club is King's equivalent to Green's talk of a Dallas Cowboys link up. I'm sure none of the fans will fall for this nonsense. He really has embarrassed himself.

Cbeattie. If he's serious and it does eventually happen there is actually a way the sfa could support rangers case with uefa as the necessity for three years accts can be bypassed according to certain fifa laws and we would qualify for receiving them. Personally I don't think that would even be necessary. I'm sure I'll be corrected if wrong but when Celtic changed their holding company (name only?) they competed in Europe the following year.

4.) 11 Sep 2015 21:11:05
Apart - Celtic FC did not enter liquidation. Unlike Rangers. It's the law old chap, pesky I know but you really do need to check the definition of "liquidation".

5.) 11 Sep 2015 22:21:51
Yes, jj, I didn't dispute that or indeed imply in my post Celtic were liquidated. Pesky I know, but true if you read it again. Doesn't alter the fact the sfa can push it through under special circumstances or the fact Celtic competed in Europe the year after at least changing the name of their holding company, admittedly different to changing the holding company itself. My actual perception of what he said infers a hybrid holding company anyway, not a full transfer from one to another akin to what sarvar wanted to do. Anyway, along with all our other 'company' related issues time will tell I guess.

John jag how come your club registration changed when Mr McCann took over, if there's any new club its your lot

I've been very very impressed with MW so far.
Compared to the managers we have had in recent years, he seems so much more professional.
He talks common sense and everything seems to be positive and straight to the point.
And the contacts he has in the English game are great. There would be no chance of any of the previous managers trying young loan players from spurs and possibly arsenal. The brand of football we are playing is clearly one of the reasons.
As spurs wouldn't want to send any of their younger players up if we were still playing the Ally brand of football
Keep it up MW

The team seems to be just about complete now, once we get eustace and this loan signing in next week then I assume that will be the transfer business done.

So it's time to concentrate on other things.

It would be good to hear a bit more from the board. It's good to see that they have backed the manager in the players he wanted. Obviously we didn't get Scott Allan, but hibs weren't going to sell to rangers and we offered what he is worth.

So it would be good to hear an update from the board on things like the share issue which they were meant to be doing. I am sure it was meant to be about August or September when they mentioned it before.

It is a lot better for the board to be a bit private, as with the previous board, they were in the paper daily and also talking a load of guff all the time. So it's good for the new board to be more private and professional, but they do need to be open with their plans.

So you want private but open?

2.) 16 Aug 2015 09:59:20
I think the best way is to be private and professional but they should tell us their plans for the share issue.

He is a decent player and is quite attacking. But he left Doncaster (league 1) as he felt he could play in a better league. So he wants to move to the Scottish championship?! Obviously a much better club but the league is terrible. Hopefully he wants to move to us tho

He is out of contract this summer. He is at Norwich but tends to be on the bench. If Norwich go up thru the playoffs then he may stay. I personally think he would be a great signing, as we need one experienced defender in the centre. Like how we had weir.
Doubt he would come tho, as wages will still be too high

I actually think that mcgregor was really good at right back. Obviously better than what we had.
And when we went for him and Wallace as wing backs for a couple of games, those two were brilliant (well better than the other below average players!)

Kyle lafferty is terrible, he was bought as potential and he has never got any better.
I would sign him up for the final 6 games of season and that's it!!
Then boot him out.

I understand whee kris boyd is coming from, but I feel he is making excuses as he didn't have amazing service at Kilmarnock and scored a lot.

He developed a lot of the Dundee utd Young players like Gould.
He was wanted by the sfa to develop young Scottish players but it was a 10 year plan and he didn't want to commit to that long.
So he went on to a club I. Portugal called Rio ave. And from there he has went into Valencia.
It is a major risk, but possibly worth trying
