While he is not my first choice why is everyone so against beale his record in the championship so far is average but that's with one of the lowest budgets in that league i would imagine to me its obvious he was the brains behind the gerrard regime and whilst one trophy is not a great return i can't think of any games we conceded more than 3 goals and rolled over and took a heavy beating wether we like it or not we need to get behind him while i think the leagues over there is 2 trophys still up for grabs.

Nor who I wanted either but the Championship is hardly an easy league, especially with his budget compares to others he's done very well, aye he's lost a few of his last games but who knows maybe that's because after the Aberdeen game his head was turned?

Well said colshygers everyone is entitled to their opinion but you make a good point about under Gerrard we never suffered any heavy defeats like we have under Gio. As Beale said in his interview on the Currie Club we had Celtic’s number in head to head games.

Pros to appointing Beale:
1) I think he would get more from the existing group of players having worked with them before
2) I think many people have forgotten how good the football was during 55 season so I’d be optimistic we would play high tempo pressing football
3) Set plays was a big strength in Gerard’s time it was a huge weakness attacking and defending under Gio
4) He is a progressive manager who has a high pressing team something Celtic have done against us recently and blown us away
5) He has experience of the Scottish game 4 seasons, he knows all about teams playing low blocks against us and how to break them down
6) He knows what Rangers is about and is clearly passionate about the club

Cons for Beale appointment:
1) Has little experience being the main man
2) Little evidence as a manager of success or otherwise to go on
3) His character, I’m not sure how well it sits with me that he was at the recent Aberdeen game at. ibrox given Gios position.
4) Will he be able to the funds needed from the board in the transfer market

I don’t see many cons in appointing Beale. Gerrard, Smith and Souness all had no track record as their own managers before getting the job so why can’t Beale be a success?

Ultimately if we can start to recruit better players then I think Beale if appointed has a good chance. I think this current squad should be doing a lot better even with the injuries.

Brw11 the football was good the season we won the league but it wasn’t good the season he left.

Was better than good we never lost a league game that season.

If Wolves such a very strong team why they sitting so very low in EPL. Very ninth I believe.

a point behind Arsenal, Spurs and United. They all dross too mate?

3.) 16 Sep 2018 21:36:02
There still sitting ninth. Arsenal et al have team to mount recovery. Wolves and their strong team don't.

if we had folded he would have been in a Rangers top already nonsense comment this can run right up to start of the season as the players fitness will not be an issue.

Cant decide if this is the right thing to do Jacks fitness is far too stop start as for arfield he gives his all and when he came on last week you could see he actually believed he cause problems against unlike all our other attacking players our CF was more interested in hogging the touchline and taking shys he didn't want involved one bit embarassing.

If we sign nisbett and its a big if at the moment its not set in stone he will be our no1 striker and if he can't cut the mustard in europe then that's a shame but i do remember it not doing kris boyd any harm he only scored 1 old firm goal and the league was already over by that point there is nothing wrong with having a player who only scores for fun domestically maybe if we had someone like that already there wouldn't be such a huge gap in the goal difference.

I thought defoe might be a name that pops up their seemed to be a plan in place for him in a coaching capacity before gerrard and co left also his being from Glasgow it might be something he’d be interested in if asked.
