Rangers looking to bring two youth players from Newcastle.
Defender Ryan McKinnon. and striker Adam Campbell.

copland1

1.) Who is bringing them in?

29 Jan 2014 09:43:43
Rangers have rejected a bid for Lee Wallace

copland1

1.) I think Rangers need to be hanging out for 1. 5-2 million £ for him to recoup and make a little profit, I think Hughes and another academy player is plenty cover, good player I agree but let's cash in ad build for the future.

2.) Who is Hughes? And I think that we should hold onto Wallace until the end of the season and sell him then

3.) How can you say sell Wallace for 1. 5 to 2 mill then build for the future he is our best player by a mile most of the rest won't make it in the top league bar te ones who came in this year and maybe one or two of the boys we should be keeping him atb all costs

4.) 29 Jan 2014 17:37:14
I agree we should be holding in to Wallace for when we return to the spl, that type of player will cost rangers a fortune to replace, get rid of all the deadwood for free if possible. watp

{Ed039's Note - forests initial bid was £900,000, rangers holding out for £1.4m plus add ons, Forest have moved onto another target from what I have been told)

5.) 29 Jan 2014 20:50:00
Lee wallace dosent want to leave Rangers but is getting more nd more annoyed and Angry n hurt that Gers are welcoming a second bid coming in, he has made it clear to ally and board he dosent want to leave but now feels he may be getting pushed out the door and would now consider a move if it was right for him and his family, very reliable source, can only say a family member no more

6.) 30 Jan 2014 07:12:06
Why are we entertaining bids lower than the fee we paid for Wallace?

Today's Daily Rebel quotes "Celtic's £10m winger Forrest"! Come on! Seriously?

I'd rather have Lee Wallace than Forrest any day!

Selling the family silver to pay the leccy bill!

7.) I still think he will be forced out the door if a player is not for sale you say just that if he might be for sale you say the same and pray for a crazy offer but if your desperate you just name your price (1.4 mill) as has been stated very black day for us we bought him for 1.5 mill he is in his prime and our best player by a mile in fact he is in my opinion our best left back in years his runs into the box are superb we must be in one hell of a state how do we ever replace him and at what price a very down rangers fan

8.) Celtic fan here! Rumours gathering pace now celtic at a DELICATE position within talks over a transfer! Rumour has it its Wallace! We looking for a left back? Could the delicate be this is the case?tried to post yesterday as I think rangers should hold onto him for the spl as the money to replace him will be more than received!

9.) Rangers should hang onto Wallace at all costs selling him would be stupid plus think a lot of us might think twice about our season tickets
rangers should have kept their business behind closed doors then we wouldn't be getting other teams taking the mickey with under priced offers

10.) @delbhoy If Rangers sold Wallace to Celtic I for one would never step foot in Ibrox again its bad enough that we are in a position where we have to sell our best player in order to try and keep afloat but to sell him to our biggest rivals would be unforgivable putting all that aside I really don't think wild horses would drag Wallace to parkhead from ibrox

11.) Nbear and you actually think delbhoy 1888 is too intelligent for some of us surely that post proves you wrong!

12.) @ nbear thanks for the support! To all others! A few now have crossed the divide! Some back and forth twice! I rate Wallace and when rangers dangle their only carrot then it's open game for every team. I would rather Wallace in my team than izzy! Young, Scottish, tried and tested! Did you stop going to Ibrox after miller played for Celtic then came back to rangers? Think not! You support your team through thick and thin! Those comments alone is why nbear said I'm too intelligent! I suppose you want to spend more money than you have again and drive your club even lower? Please be real with answers not bitter!

13.) @ lochaberbear the boy, whom I am sure would like to stay, seems to be getting put in a shop window with a price tag. He seems the only profitable or sellable option. I mearly stated a rumour I had heard, and gave an honest opinion. But like you said, he may choose not to. Switch! Unlike some narrow minded I value your opinion. After all that's what these sites are about! But in my opinion whatever Wallace is sold for, it will cost ten fold to replace him.

14.) Lee Wallace has been hanging about lennoxtown this morning waiting for the gates to open.
He was spotted getting out of a yellow Robin reliant, his agent Delbhoy 1888, only comment was this time next year the lad will be a millionaire.
bluebeard.

15.) @ Bluebeard! Lmao that made me laugh! Nice to see a bit of humour for a change instead of all the doom and gloom that has surrounded rangers and Scottish football for a while now! A rate the boy and think its sad that a price tag was put round his neck! I do hope he stays as he is a good player and it will be a miss to Scottish football if a mediocre championship team steals him for pennies! Also nice to see some transfer rumours on here today! Used to be good flipping from our page to yours to see who is coming and going! All the excitement has gone! No more suttons hartsons laudrup or gazza's! Hope you lot get back soon! Miss the banter!

16.) Del I've scoured every post of mine I can find and cannot find a single one that can be described as "BITTER" perhaps i'd be better laughing at you like bluebeard but I chose to tell you straight. What does rumours are gathering pace mean? And do YOU even believe Wallace will sign for you?Who was the last player to transfer directly from Us to you or vice versa? If you go on any site posting nonsense you should be told not humoured and certainly not called "Too intelligent".

17.) @jyf lmao once again at your posts! Once again you jump in feet first without reading properly or having the ability to understand! You should engage your brain before typing! Firstly you proved your lack of intellegence by automatically assuming that when I said bitter I meant you? Obviously hit a sore note there! But if the cap fits? Secondly I never claimed the boy would want to sign for us! I mearly stated that I rate him as a left back and would not mind if he signed for us, any addition that is better than what we have is welcome and I see Wallace as better than izzy! As previously stated. Once again you have let your side down with narrow mindedness!

18.) Del now you've laughed your arse off does that mean you'll have to stop talking sh**e.

A lot of negativity after today's result but we need to be realistic as this is a team that will be competing in the champions league next season and currently 2nd in the Bundesliga, which is probably on par with the The Premiership in England.

Hopefully we can attract some sponsorship from Red Bull such as advertising on shirts or as a feeder club for them to send players on loan.

The squad has players that need to be moved on, but we also need further investment whether it is from DK or another source.

copland1

1.) 15 Jan 2017 22:04:34
Copland1,

Yes that's true however the same old faults were on display for all to see very poor defending, poor passing and giving away possession to easily.

2.) 15 Jan 2017 22:39:53
I don't agree with every decision mw makes but I would like some fans to give guy a break. He is the least funded manager of rangers ever and surely every gers fan must admit that this is not a fair fight with Rodgers. When the guy can get real money in transfer market then we can really judge the man. We need investment simple as that and until that day comes we are playing for second.

3.) 15 Jan 2017 23:13:26
Celtic fan here boys. What the hell is going on at your club when you have Copland1 saying that he would be happy to be a feeder club for some German team. I knew things were bad but not this bad.

4.) 16 Jan 2017 08:41:51
Dafabet

Last season we had Ball, Zelalem, Oduwa and now we have Toral and Hyndman.

This will happen for the forseeable future no doubt regardless of what club they are loaned from as we need further investment.

5.) 16 Jan 2017 09:29:02
Jaws

His budget has been far greater than that of Aberdeen and Hearts yet the team is no better than either. An Aberdeen and Hearts team that has went backwards since last season

6.) 16 Jan 2017 10:23:15
The problem for me is that we still don't have a defensive midfield player and we haven't had one since Warburton arrived and the John Eustace saga ended abruptly with the player failing to sign 'for personal reasons'. Finding another defensive midfield player or holding midfield player should have been the priority and while Barton might be construed to have been the answer we all know what happened there and young Rossiter is permanently on the injury list! While the latter situation is unfortunate we simply cannot expect to win games against half decent opposition or better with what we have and right now, unless he is going to play one of the loanees in that position or by some miracle, Rossiter is fit then Warburton's priority should surely be to bring in a player for this role during January.

7.) 16 Jan 2017 10:26:43
Let's see what our results are like in the second half of the season against Aberdeen, Hearts and St Johnstone, as well as the other teams in this league. If budgets really make a difference then we should beat all these teams with goals to spare!

For me it isn't the budget it is how you deploy it and right now we have an awful lot of players that are seriously underperforming in budgetary terms or, more likely are just not good enough.

8.) 16 Jan 2017 10:56:39
The team is better than aberdeen and hearts! Have a look at the league table, and reserve your judgement on if we finish 2nd, until the end of the season!

9.) 16 Jan 2017 11:56:55
I can honestly say warbs was unlucky with how barton used us and rossiter was touted by a lot to be the next gerrard so he has been unlucky with that position.
and as for competing this year its more to do with celtic have drawn one game compared to a terrible start last year that's why Aberdeen and hearts look to have taken a step backwards and we have been the better team each time we have played them this season even the game that they beat us we where the better team.

I wouldn't as a rangers fan compare myself to their teams as we are much better have much better players and at the beginning of the season we have been underperforming and slowly getting better and a game agains celtic doesn't stop us from getting better and better this season.
id buy hayes and rooney off of Aberdeen and then you would see them finishing bout 5th or 6th

10.) 16 Jan 2017 14:13:08
Supercoop

How then can you say in the one sentence we are better than them and then say don't judge it till the end of the season? As for saying we are better than Aberdeen by the league table they are only 2 points behind with a game in hand so how does that make us better than them?

11.) 16 Jan 2017 20:09:37
hope warbs has another try at Diagouraga. could solve the defensive mid problem.

12.) 16 Jan 2017 20:53:57
Tom USA

do u know of any players within our budget to play DM?

13.) 16 Jan 2017 23:13:16
Copland 1, not sure how much he would cost but Srdjan Mijailovic, plays in Turkey, for one of the lesser top league sides. He is Serbian, age 23. He might be worth looking at.

Daniel Williams, American, I think he is at Reading, contract up in Summer of this year.

If young Rossiter is not going to be fit then both of these guys might be worth looking at and I am sure that there are others, possibly even coming to the end of their contracts.

14.) 17 Jan 2017 15:31:44
The league table at this moment in time says we're better than aberdeen and even further better than hearts! How can't you understand that? The league table doesn't lie mate! The other point you pick up on about judging at the end of the season, i'll try and explain and clear up for you! What i'm saying here is we are at this moment better than both aberdeen and hearts, as the league table suggests! Over and above that, at the end of the season when the true reflection and judgement rightfully comes, we will see if we're better than them both! I've no doubt at all that we'll finish 2nd! It doesn't matter if we're 2 points in front of the sheep or 22 points in front, at this very moment we're better than aberdeen as our league position suggests! Games in hand mean nothing until they're won! Its about points in the bag! God, i hope that clears it up for you!

What's your thoughts?

Billy Mackay goes back to Wigan 62 goals in 3 seasons with Inverness.
Would he be a useful addition to the squad if Wigan want to sell him?

copland1

1.) 07 May 2016 17:27:47
Hes been rubbish this season with utd . no thanks.

2.) 07 May 2016 18:28:40
But so have Utd.
Average of 20 a season for Mackay with Inverness proven goalscorer.

3.) 07 May 2016 19:35:48
Not needed we needs a big burly centre forward who going to batter the opposition defence.

24 Apr 2016 19:16:17
Like to see O'Halloran play through the middle v Livingston.
Could so be deployed in the No 10 role.

copland1

1.) 24 Apr 2016 20:01:13
Yes he's not getting on the ball as much out wide.

2.) 24 Apr 2016 21:33:36
He's not got going yet has he? He'll be a smash next season when the games open up a bit more. McKay looks good in there too when he comes off the wing.

3.) 25 Apr 2016 16:38:28
Games next season aren't going to open up more - we are going to face better quality teams who will be more organized.

Teams will sit in and try and hit us on the break, they certainly aren't going to play an open game and make it easier for us.

Seen loads of posts about how much easier it will be in a better division- don't understand it.

Moh was a panic buy at a time when hibs looked capable of pushing all the way. Posted repeatedly at time that he was not what we needed.

02 Apr 2016 22:11:23
Last three games we have conceded 9 goals and scored 9, partly due to slack defending and substitutions made when
we have been in control of the game especially v Falkirk.
Ball was brought on loan as a CB so why don't we start him against Dumbarton as complacency could be a problem as Kiernan and Wilson are guaranteed to be in the starting 11.
I would consider playing Law as he gives us an option offensively and defensively.
Next up Dumbarton.

copland1

15 Feb 2016 12:31:52
Is this our best Starting 11 excluding cup ties?

Foderingham

Tav. Kiernan Wilson Wallace

Holt. Halliday

King

Waghorn. O Halloran. McKay.

copland1

1.) 15 Feb 2016 16:36:56
No, not king.

2.) 15 Feb 2016 16:40:20
The only query I'd make copland1 is Dominic Ball. He is a very good player and in King, Waghorn, O'Halloran and Mackay you have four attacking players. I'd rather see Ball in to protect that back four and King dropping to the bench. Not bad if we have King, Law, Shiels and others as subs!

3.) 15 Feb 2016 16:53:29
Doiger fair point and Law might be an option or as you say Ball as a DM depending on the opposition.
Good chance Ball will play against Killie.

4.) 15 Feb 2016 18:56:32
Holt has to play as the furthest forward midfielder.

If we have no DM to bring into the first team from the youth squad the only other option might be another player on loan from the EPL.

Lee Wallace has been absolutely outstanding for Rangers over the past few seasons and it's hard to believe his ability as a LB is being questioned.
Be interesting to see how Lee Hodson slots in to the LB position against Linfield if selected.

Murdoch was not given a chance by Warbs but with Holt and Halliday it was always going to be difficult for him to get a game but he was a decent player whenever he played.
Good luck Andy.

We need 2 centre backs either on loan or permanent signings
If Wilson is injured Kiernan and Hill are not the answer but our only option.
Hope today we see some transfer activity by Warbs.

Walker from Hearts would be a welcome addition but Nicholson is currently recovering from an injury.
Cummings is a goalscorer but can't see either Hearts or Hibs selling either of them.

Rossiter looked a class act when he played, so hopefully his injury problems will be solved as it would be good to see him in the DM role this season.

Knox was due to go for a third trial with Man Utd as reported by the media last month.
He is attracting interest from a few EPL clubs and Nottingham Forest.
