would you believe it, on sky sports news is that the sfa have charged Josh Meekings after his handball incident in Scottish semi final and offered him a one match ban which would mean him missing out on the final. What a disgrace only the sfa could do this, surprised their not replaying the match hahaha. same old ceptic always cheated never defeated. don't like talking about that lot on one of our sites but having to listen to delilia all season about winning the treble I thought I would post this. There's always next year

craig 1978

{Ed039's Note - What do you mean "would you believe it", has anybody else been expecting anything else? The powers that be in this country could not organise a piss up in brewery and are being laughed at the world over. I hope that means that every game changing moment that a referee misses is going to be hauled up in front of the compliance officer and not just ones that are subject to written complaints)

1.) 21 Apr 2015 18:04:49
Sure Sellik are preparing a dossier on all the decisions that have gone in their favour to submit in the interests of balance and clarification. Their attitude to any defeat is best summed up by their continual whining about being cheated in Seville.check the UEFA match stats. Porto had twice as many attempts on goal,on target,as well as corners. and Celtic committed more fouls. but they've spun it into a legend.pathetic. the Sellik Way.

2.) 21 Apr 2015 18:54:31
Did Hearts not lose a semi final against Selin with a dubious penalty despising. We have had some ridiculous descisioins for and against us. Just get on with it.

3.) 21 Apr 2015 19:30:55
A written complaint will never change the final whistle result.

All this has done is deprive Josh Meekings his place at Hampden.

I hope the great unwashed are proud of their actions.

Come on ICT I hope you win your appeal.

Dounebear

4.) 21 Apr 2015 20:30:54
How have we deprived a player from the cup final. He cheated by stopping the ball with his hands.
Unlucky but no one to blame but himself.
Hail Hail.

{Ed039's Note - Nothing was done by the top dogs a few years back when Henry actually scored with his hand against Ireland, there have been numerous games where handballs on the line etc havent been spotted and nothing has been done, do you think it is a coincidence that its the first time I can remember it being done is here? Doesnt seem like it to me)

5.) 21 Apr 2015 21:30:06
How can you say Meekings cheated? It was an instinctive action that was missed by the officials. Not as if he was missed kicking or punching somebody. To send in a letter of complaint about this is pathetic enough but for the twats in charge at Hampden to then ban the player for the final is beyond belief. Everyone involved in this should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves and I hope that when a similar incident occurs which they benefit from (don't kid yourselves Septic fans - it does happen and more often than you think) the opposing team has the wherewithal to do the same. Mind you, I doubt if anybody else could be so petty. I think it's disgusting and flies in the face of Liewell's so called moral high ground on 'sporting integrity'.

6.) 21 Apr 2015 22:05:31
Celtic did not complain about the decision. They asked for an explanation. Their fans complained to the club and the club acted. Might be nice if our board listened to us every now and again.

{Ed039's Note - They didnt complain? OK, you go to a restaurant, you ask for a steak, well done, but when you get it its rare, you ask to speak to the manager and ask him for an explanation why your steak wasnt done right ....... are you complaining? The rest I appreciate your points and all fair and well, but anybody who thinks Celtic did not complain about the decision are wrong)

7.) 21 Apr 2015 22:25:48
what do u expect big chief parkheid big chief at s f a = retrospective booking guidetti dives against hearts = no retrospective booking cofuchia say old chinese proverb ahwell so sad nevermind

8.) 21 Apr 2015 23:05:31
Celtic and SFA are a total embarrassment. I hope the rest of Europe are not aware of what goes on here as it makes us a laughing stock and Celtic bad losers,as these incidents happen often in football throughout the world and accepted as part of the game.

9.) 22 Apr 2015 07:43:55
Noddy, couldn't agree more with your post.

Utterly disgraceful and shameful actions by celtic and sfa.

I wonder if they also asked for an explanation as to why their substitute keeper wasn't sent off for taking the Inverness lad out in their letter! Oh yeah, that doesn't matter

10.) 22 Apr 2015 07:51:51
The boy never "cheated" he made himself big and the ball hit is arm penalty and sending off, yes. Cheating no.

Cheating is like James forrest running into the box and diving like he does every game, just like guidetti done against hearts for yous to even progress that far in the cup. Just like boereigter aswell.

No one has ever been banned for a handball after a match, this is just to appease the Celtic fans.

11.) 22 Apr 2015 12:01:40
ronnie delias comments in the past that it all balances out through the season appear not to count if the decis1on goes against them that makes it all the more dissapointing

22 Mar 2015 17:11:48
I think everyone will agree the football wasn't great today but must say the formation, the attitude and the commitment was first class, good to see them fighting and scrapping for everything and first time in a while where you couldn't fault 1 player. bit worried at start of match when I seen our back 3 but they never really gave hibs a sniff but personally thought McGregor and Wallace were excellent. I know it's only 1 victory but definitely something to build on. it will take time but hopefully now we're on the road to recovery. Well done Stuart McCall. WATP

1.) 22 Mar 2015 18:07:52
Agreed. Also quite liked the new Dean Shields and young Murdoch in midfield. We need to work on the set pieces though as both Shields and Law were wasteful- but good result.

2.) 22 Mar 2015 18:10:32
Aye well done everybody. It was clear that the team was playing for the manager. Let's not get carried away but much better. If we can show the same attitude and commitment in the remaining games that'll do for me. What a difference looking in the dugout and not seeing a face like a rabbit in the headlights!

3.) 22 Mar 2015 18:13:54
Where has that performance been from Wallace all season he was immense. What a difference it would make if we could a similar type of player at right back. Credit where credit is due though more commitment, better shape and some good individual performances

4.) 22 Mar 2015 18:59:38
The whole team was immense so hopefully we can attain the same level of performance in the remaining fixtures

5.) 22 Mar 2015 19:06:50
Agree about set pieces, Law not the man, too many over hit balls. sure they'll actually practice them now(novel idea!)

6.) 22 Mar 2015 19:40:37
wallace was different player but 3 at the back it gave him and macgregor all the room in the world to get up the park it put u in mind of walters flood the midfield tactics against celtic more of the same will do for me

7.) 23 Mar 2015 10:13:37
Lani- Totally agree on the set pieces but that's something to be worked on.
Murdoch might be another player to take them.

Just reading on another site that Lee McCulloch has told his out-of-contract players they had better start performing for Stuart McCall because their previous displays are not worth new deals. hope he is counting himself in on that as well, another quote this time from Stuart McCall says he has already decided their fitness reserves need boosting. just what most people have been saying all season that they are not fit as they should be.GOOD LUCK STUART MCCALL

1.) 13 Mar 2015 22:00:32
St end of season there are about 13 players out of contract including Millsr and Boyd, however the new manager is also out of contract so there is little point in the players trying to impress him! It is going to be difficult to attract a quality manager until the club is stable and the manager knows what division Rangers will play in. There will he no stability at Rangers till next season.

12 Mar 2015 20:03:15
I'm not sure McCall will be able to do much before Saturdays game as he is only going to have 1 training session but I just hope he's got the balls to drop our captain and a few others my team for Saturday would be Bell/Robinson gk Gasparotto cb McGregor cb Wallace cb Hutton cdm Law rm Vuckic cm Templeton lm with Shiels, Clark and Gallagher up front so that would be a 3-4-3 what does anyone think

1.) 12 Mar 2015 21:14:28
He'll need to make a good few changes right away to show players and fans alike that he won't be slow in changing things when they are not going well. Clever touch to mention the 12 players who will be out of contract in the summer and how they would need to show him why they should be offered a new contract. Fingers crossed

2.) 12 Mar 2015 22:15:16
He done the right thing getting them in on there day off! Surely you should be training 2 days before a match maybe I'm wrong and that's the norm at clubs but I'd doubt it

3.) 13 Mar 2015 00:01:58
Hearts have the 2nd day after a game off, ie., play Saturday, in on Sunday for physio and light training, Monday off, then double sessions every day til single session Friday morning, Friday afternoon video and instructions of opposition next day. Seems to be working?

4.) 12 Mar 2015 23:15:12
Op the first team should be watching there peas and ques, the under 20s won 6v1 today, and seam to be doing really well working under durrant I think the new gaffer should be having a wee look over at them, maybe waken some of the auld guys up a bit, maybe the first team players should be getting taken to murray park to see what playing for rangers really means to the youngsters.

5.) Craig,

As long as he removes McCulloch, Black, Smith, Boyd and Foster he should be able to get the rest of the squad into a shape of sorts. Good managers have a game plan and train their players in that mind set every day I am sure he will get them organised I KNOW he will get them fighting. Look at Scotland under his coaching with Strachan.

is there been anything on whether McDowall is staying beside McCall or is he on gardening leave as well now

craig 1978

1.) 11 Mar 2015 18:50:02
Some of the papers stating he will not be part of set up. It leaves the way open for amicable discussions between the club and McCoist and Macdowall. Hopefully their future will be decided imminently.

2.) 11 Mar 2015 20:41:02
Diggin up turnips as we speak.

3.) 11 Mar 2015 20:41:48
craig 1978 mcdowell will not be staying

4.) 12 Mar 2015 00:32:31
Glad to see the back of McDowall. His attitude was disgraceful. Every time he was interviewed he couldn't wait to tell everyone that he didn't want to be there but he was still happy to pick up his ridiculous wages. His lack of managerial ability and lack of interest shone through. At least now we have a chance of getting through the play offs with a manager that won't lack passion and is hungry for the job. Might not be enough to get us up but we stand a much better chance now

A legend wouldn't be still taking wages from club he supposedly loves. I thought like many more that when Dave King and co came in Ally would have done the right thing and resigned from his contract and not took any more money, after all the money he earned over the last few years and considering we are no further forward than when we were demoted to div 3 as we are going to have to build another team no matter what league we are playing in for next season

if he loves the club so much why does he continue to take a fortune every week on top of the ridiculous amount he was taking while in charge. I thought along with a few other bears I was talking to that as soon as King and co were in control Ally would do the honourable thing and resign and not take any more money from our club

I agree he can't work miracles in 2 days, but he has been a pundit for B.T sport at our last few games so he does know how bad we've been playing, so much for all those players playing for new contracts. no matter what manager we got in they would struggle getting this team playing decent football, we need a total clearout but Stuart McCall must be given a chance. too many players there that don't deserve to play for our great club and it wasn't him that bought them. but he has to drop our captain

as Stuart McCall said you could get 50 Rangers supporters in a room and they would all have different teams so I think no matter what team plays tomorrow we just need to support them for the full 90 mins and try and not get on their backs. if we get right behind them I think it will be the difference in getting promotion or not as walking out to 50,000 bears singing their hearts out must give you a lift. the hairs on the back of my neck are standing up just thinking about it. GOOD LUCK STUART MCCALL
