warburton remit at rangers was to get us promoted he done this but as for the rest of things in the job I certainly do not see the improvement he is ment to big on player development but the only player I see in our team that has developed further is mackay he is ment to be big on fitness but do not see this on the pitch looks the opposite on the field ment to be big on youth players yet none of our youth players seem to get a chance even when our first team stars are not performing was ment to add value to the squad on and off the field do not see any value in this squad of players part from mackay possibly rossiter if ever fit and maybe fordingham so not a lot of value added to the squad on and off the field so far
has to get us second in the leauge he is on course to do this.
so looking at the things 6 things above he is on course to achieve 2 out of 6
you can say he hasn't been giving money to spend but the money he has spent has not been spent Wisely

Player developmemt is over the course of multiple seasons not half a season. Fitness has definetly improved but like similar teams in the epl it is hard to keep high tempo for 90mins playing the way we do. Young players is 3-5 type plan, if they aren't close to being good enough not much he can do. Adding value is inevitable as the vast majority of the guys we got for free so any transfer fee is adding value. 2million for 22 players is pretty good in my book. i don't know if you expected people like forreter to kick on and be sold for 15mill and a team full of teenagers but its not going to happen. Improving the youth system would be 1 youth player a season getting into the 1st team aquad and adding value is signing someone for free and selling them for a couple of mill after a couple of seasons

2.) 16 Jan 2017 13:46:19
so who in this squad do you think will develop in to good enough player two sell in few years time as for youth players who says there are not good enough they surley deserve a chance to prove there are by replacing underperforming if your going to play this high tempo game then you need fast and fit enough players who are going to perform in a unit we got them for free and that's how much they will end up leaving for cause they not good enough to sell for profit on this form and yeh at least 1 or 2 younsters should get into first team a year but so far they arent

3.) 16 Jan 2017 17:36:05
Maybe none for an serious profit yet but the point i am making is that its a long game and these things take time. If we had loaned out the young guys and they were stars for championship teams then they would get a chance but none of them have really performed so not good enough yet

22 Sep 2015 21:07:13
i think on tonight's performance shows there is a long way to go before we can compete with average premier league teams never mind David king dreaming about challenging Celtic serious investment will be needed to do that
our defence is terrible Wilson should be dropped for ball instead seems to think he can stroll threw games

craigs8688

1.) 22 Sep 2015 22:32:44
To be fair I thought we played a good game apart from the defence and Halliday. Nothing went our way no luck. I'm not to fussed about the outcome our priority is winning the championship. If we do well in cups then it's a brucie bonus onwards and upwards RTID.

01 Aug 2015 10:40:26
eustace to be offered two year deal another bit of good business done by the club midfield looked light wait against hibs this will add protection for the defence would imagine this would mean halliday will move further forward in centre mid and replace law or holt or he could go to left wing where he played for Bradford this would be better option as boy can hit a ball and cross then if we could sign allan and replace law with him then our midfield would be very strong leaving mackay temps and aird to fight it out for right wing postion

craigs8688

14 May 2015 15:08:35
strong rumour going round this afternoon that david king has passed fit and proper test

craigs8688

1.) 14 May 2015 15:16:09
was just coming on here to write this mate. I think it might be true with an announcement due before close of play today.

2.) 14 May 2015 16:37:00

I see the lad turnbull for motherwell has scored a double again this lad looks very good and should be a priory signing goal scoring midfielder is what we need.

craigs8688

1.) 18 May 2019 13:05:41
Would be a great addition.

2.) 18 May 2019 13:21:03
Said numerous times on here that he should be signed as our number 10.

3.) 18 May 2019 13:26:23
It’s all well and good signing these guys but we need to be getting players that go straight into the team rather than warming the bench.

4.) 18 May 2019 13:30:28
For crying out loud he's a teenager who is having a purple patch right now and some of you have him as some sort of saviour! . Great addition', 'should be our number 10'! Give the hysteria a rest please.

5.) 18 May 2019 13:31:33
is a no brainier for me lad is already scoring in this league and can improve loads before some English team take him we should put a bid in to get him.
Out of interest how much do people think we would need bid for him i recon about the 2 million mark with add ons as lad just signed contract extension.

6.) 18 May 2019 13:38:34
Should we not be trying to sign the 'best' young players / prospects daisy yore?

7.) 18 May 2019 13:56:28
Why would we want to put the lad on the bench he has scored 15 goals this season why shouldn't we sign him is a very good young player who is capable in this league already.
The lad looks a real talent i would place money on him scoring the same amount next season this ain't no 1 season wonder watch the lad play and you will see how talented he is.

8.) 18 May 2019 14:08:21
I know we are not in the position to throw money around, but this young lad does look a future star.

Maybe £1.5m with a small sell on and offer to loan him back to them for another season so see how he does.

Works for all parties. stops him moving on, gives him another year to develop and could be a replacement by that time for Davis.

9.) 18 May 2019 15:51:06
Think Motherwell want over £1.75m for the lad.

10.) 18 May 2019 15:53:09
Daisy yore thinks a 30 game season with 15 goals and 4 assists from mid field is a purple patch. Hysteria? Leave the judgement of players to the bigger boys that understand the game a bit better. Football for you means selfies with Broxi but you will catch up soon. I hope!

11.) 18 May 2019 16:31:20
Daisy yore you spangle 🤣 Motherwell's young player, young player and goal of the season winner. Name a better prospect in Scotland. Did Docherty have a record like that when we signed him?

12.) 18 May 2019 16:44:03
I’ve said it on here before. this lad is going to be a very very good player and we should have moved for him months ago. He’s going to go down south next year.

13.) 18 May 2019 21:48:49
I would sign him and he wouldn’t be on the bench he is the best young midfielder in the league.

14.) 18 May 2019 21:51:46
The lad definetely seems a prospect I would go for him 100% and as mentioned before potentially loaning him back for a season to further his developemen. Nobody is proclaiming he is the saviour but would add a lot to the team next season or one after. Even if it is 1.75mil it is a steal if that kind of form was to continue.

18 Apr 2019 13:52:43
Ryan Kent has done really well for us this season But with us failing to put in a buy out clause in the loan deal it looks like we will not be able to afford to sign him on a permanent deal.
So Should the club really be bringing in a player on loan that we have no chance of signing on permanent deal.
Or should be looking to get Middleton back in the team and develop him to his full potential and sell further down the line for a large fee.
We will also have Jones and Murphy as backup.

craigs8688

1.) 18 Apr 2019 14:59:28
Emmmmm even if we don't get kent. candieas jones and murphy are all better than middleton. its him who is back ip and will potentially be loaned out next season.

2.) 18 Apr 2019 15:02:01
There never ever ever ever ever was a chance of a buyout clause going in the loan deal. People need to stop getting fixated with option to buy in loan deals otherwise we will not get top talent from big clubs👍.

3.) 18 Apr 2019 15:06:33
Would rangers have had the ability to pay a buy out cause of maybe £6,000,000 (six million), or what ever he was valued at.

I really don't think so, that why you have so many loans, and cheap buys.

4.) 18 Apr 2019 15:16:28
Utter rubbish! They rate him at £8 Million. Buy out clauses are NOT the normal for a standard loan deal.

5.) 18 Apr 2019 15:21:52
Here's my take on loans, I think SG has put us into the shop window to get top loanees by playing them, everyone we got were given chances sometimes to the detriment of the team. I think SG is trying to attract better players by doing this. Kents's stats are not great but his improvement has been stellar, I swear I ain't looked but, if you compare his goals/ assists since xmas to those before he's improved stat wise too.

6.) 18 Apr 2019 15:40:17
AHW not only an expert on gers finances, he's an expert on player contracts as well! He's like a sh*t that won't flush, can't get rid of him.

7.) 18 Apr 2019 15:53:47
Loans you say AHW 🤔, that's why rodgers deserted you's 🤡👍.

8.) 18 Apr 2019 16:16:03
my point is its bout time we started developing our own youngsters rather than develop others clubs players.
We are meant to have this excellent training and youth facility but when was the last time we played one of our youth players regular for the first team.
Hopefully next season is when we finally see some players come threw and play regular for our first team and save us a fortune on transfer fees and wages.
Yeh kent has improved since Christmas but what to say Middleton would not have done the same.
Must clubs nowadays do trying insert buy out clauses into loans its common practise.
I would much rather the club bought players to develop or develop or own players than loan players into the club without buy out clauses.

9.) 18 Apr 2019 16:20:12
Blueberry. no counter arguments so you revert to abuse. I would have said shi# but it's not pc today.

Coldo. Rodgers left to line his own pockets. I say good riddance. similar to your man mccoist. money above club.

10.) 18 Apr 2019 17:17:11
AHW, rodgers left because liewell wouldn't back him in the market. that's why you got loans and rodgers left👍.

15 Apr 2019 09:40:27
after seeing Aberdeen game yesterday and what i have seen of Greg Stewart threw this season i very much doubt he is the type of player that is going to improve us
Is he any better that what we currently have at the club i would say no.
I would much rather the club looked at signing Hastie Ferguson Souttar Turnball these are the players that could improve us and we will have dochery coming back to us as well who can play the role Stewart does.

craigs8688

1.) 15 Apr 2019 11:20:37
Greg Stewart will be a good signing if he signs, he is used by Aberdeen our wide but at us would be used as a number 10, look at when he was at killie, he played through the middle and was scoring nearly every week, him and Docherty are 2 different kind of players, Docherty more of a box to box player whereas Stewart is a creative attacking mid who likes the ball at his feet and running at players, if he signs he could be the manager dfoelder we’ve been missing who scores 15-20 goals a season.

2.) 15 Apr 2019 15:00:43
Greg Stewart is not close to the standard we require to win the league.

3.) 15 Apr 2019 16:24:08
you will find dochery was being used behind the striker by shrewbusy town when he scored and assisted a lot of his goals just like the position you have suggested for Stewart and the current role arfield has in our team.
Stewart is nothing but a squad player and no better than arfield who currently plays this role and docherty has showing he can play this role out on loan so see no point bringing him in.
Its bout time we started trusting our young players on the brink of the first team like docherty Middleton katic mccorie rudden mepbude atakayi to at start making a impact and the only way they will do this is buy getting game time from the bench and starting games for us.
Stewart will just take one of these lads place on the bench when they should be giving a chance.

4.) 16 Apr 2019 13:49:02
Jboy, your right. Greg Stewart, we'd be better with Andy Stewart. Still feel future betterment of team in continental players.

17 Feb 2019 08:29:38
going forward into the summer transfer window do fellow fans agree that major work is still required on the squad.
We have a total of 5 loan players who i would let return to there clubs.
Then we have the the fringe players or injured players who should be released
Mcauley Wallace Fodringham Rossiter Holt Dodoo Hardie Alnwick Hodson Herrera Flanagan Dorrans.
That is a total of 17 players and you could say candelias and laffertty don't contribute much either and i also think we need more from jack going forward needs to add assists and goals to his game.
If not i would play mccorie or kamara in that role.
and there will no doubt be bids for morelos.
So there could be potentially 21 players that need to be replaced to move the club forward.

craigs8688

1.) 17 Feb 2019 11:55:15
Ryan jack is the best defensive mid we've got IMO, craigs8688!He if available and fit, plays every week for me!

2.) 17 Feb 2019 12:36:31
coops i agree but for me we need to add more assists and goals to our team and i feel going forward kamara or mccorie could offer this that's why i would pick them ahead jack.
But if we can get quality around jack to provide the assists and goals from midfield i would play jack.
We just seem to lack energy and directness from our midfield and strikers no one has a pop from distance or goes past players they just hand responsibility to tav Kent morelos
For me Docherty has to be in our first team on his return.

3.) 17 Feb 2019 15:39:07
Jacks no pace. The future is McCrorie. If you play a CDM it’s him. He has pace which is needed in there. Build for the future.

16 Feb 2019 18:39:52
today's performance was exactly like kilmarnock we just can't score without morelos in the team.
Very poor not any other players willing to take the responsibility and win us a game i would hate to think where we would be without him in the league.
Going forward i think we need get rid of all the players that are not good enough and all the loan players these signings have just not worked out well for us.
I think we need sign young hungry players with a point to prove and not loans need to be permanent signings and start getting more of our youth players involved in the first team.
Our midfield and strikers have a very poor return when you look at the goals and assists they contribute apart from morelos.

craigs8688

1.) 16 Feb 2019 21:21:41
Don’t worry lads, the team will have another meeting between themselves, and another and another etc.

2.) 16 Feb 2019 22:06:10
I would ban every single one of our players taking about titles cups ect in the media and among there self
They just make thereselve and the club look stupid.
This is not just a one off performance by them they are consitently not performing
Showing up for a few games a season ain't good enough.

3.) 16 Feb 2019 23:37:46
But they were good enough when we humped smellies and sheep?

4.) 16 Feb 2019 23:47:40
True words my friend but what motive do you need, playing for Rangers in front of the best supporters in the world and coached by Steven Gerrard. Now if those players cannot absorb and appreciate this then its time for them to fxxk oxf. This was another poor effort today. PS Celtic destroy them every time.

while the rumoured fee for kent is a big fee it is probably a fair fee for the lad considering teams are already looking at him if we can improve his game and he adds more goals and assists the lad will be sold for at least double this fee if not more.

yeh has been coming because of media highlighting everything he does never see them doing this with any other player. how the can see what happend as violent conduct is beyond me. Well we will soon find out if we can cope without him I bet any money we will struggle is his absence offers so much to the team.

well a guess we will soon find out if the ref got it right if appeals are lodged.
The amount of criticism aimed at morelos is terrible he is a class above anyone in our team we should be supporting the lad not slagging him off puts 100 percent in every game and like previous comments a wish we had more player like him and this is gerrard loves having at the club.
He is only 22 years of age so still has a lot to learn but weighing up the positives and negatives to his game then we defiantly need to try keep him at our club as long as possible.

to all the fans calling our star striker a idiot ect if it was not for that idiot that use call him then we wouldn't be anywhere near the top of the table we are now.

Who else in that team can score goals with the exception of Jermaine Defoe our team struggle to score without him that's how important he is to the team. When we loose Alfredo permantley we are going be in big trouble unless we spend a lot of money on a replacement he will be a big lose to the club.

Turnbull would be terrific signing and we would be fools if we where not interested in him this lad will go on to do very well where ever he ends up just like John Mcginn has done at aston villa.
Brohpy would be a good backup player from bench but then we have rudden hardie and mepbude that could do that job for us.
