warburton remit at rangers was to get us promoted he done this but as for the rest of things in the job I certainly do not see the improvement he is ment to big on player development but the only player I see in our team that has developed further is mackay he is ment to be big on fitness but do not see this on the pitch looks the opposite on the field ment to be big on youth players yet none of our youth players seem to get a chance even when our first team stars are not performing was ment to add value to the squad on and off the field do not see any value in this squad of players part from mackay possibly rossiter if ever fit and maybe fordingham so not a lot of value added to the squad on and off the field so far
has to get us second in the leauge he is on course to do this.
so looking at the things 6 things above he is on course to achieve 2 out of 6
you can say he hasn't been giving money to spend but the money he has spent has not been spent Wisely

Player developmemt is over the course of multiple seasons not half a season. Fitness has definetly improved but like similar teams in the epl it is hard to keep high tempo for 90mins playing the way we do. Young players is 3-5 type plan, if they aren't close to being good enough not much he can do. Adding value is inevitable as the vast majority of the guys we got for free so any transfer fee is adding value. 2million for 22 players is pretty good in my book. i don't know if you expected people like forreter to kick on and be sold for 15mill and a team full of teenagers but its not going to happen. Improving the youth system would be 1 youth player a season getting into the 1st team aquad and adding value is signing someone for free and selling them for a couple of mill after a couple of seasons

2.) 16 Jan 2017 13:46:19
so who in this squad do you think will develop in to good enough player two sell in few years time as for youth players who says there are not good enough they surley deserve a chance to prove there are by replacing underperforming if your going to play this high tempo game then you need fast and fit enough players who are going to perform in a unit we got them for free and that's how much they will end up leaving for cause they not good enough to sell for profit on this form and yeh at least 1 or 2 younsters should get into first team a year but so far they arent

3.) 16 Jan 2017 17:36:05
Maybe none for an serious profit yet but the point i am making is that its a long game and these things take time. If we had loaned out the young guys and they were stars for championship teams then they would get a chance but none of them have really performed so not good enough yet

i think on tonight's performance shows there is a long way to go before we can compete with average premier league teams never mind David king dreaming about challenging Celtic serious investment will be needed to do that
our defence is terrible Wilson should be dropped for ball instead seems to think he can stroll threw games

craigs8688

1.) 22 Sep 2015 22:32:44
To be fair I thought we played a good game apart from the defence and Halliday. Nothing went our way no luck. I'm not to fussed about the outcome our priority is winning the championship. If we do well in cups then it's a brucie bonus onwards and upwards RTID.

01 Aug 2015 10:40:26
eustace to be offered two year deal another bit of good business done by the club midfield looked light wait against hibs this will add protection for the defence would imagine this would mean halliday will move further forward in centre mid and replace law or holt or he could go to left wing where he played for Bradford this would be better option as boy can hit a ball and cross then if we could sign allan and replace law with him then our midfield would be very strong leaving mackay temps and aird to fight it out for right wing postion

acording to murty the board are not looking at this short term we are looking for a long term manager and there has been progress on this front
should it not be the boards job to let us know this and take the pressure of murty
i just hope our board get this spot on and
provide signifiant investment for the new manager

craigs8688

23 Nov 2017 12:08:29
when we get a new manager in they need get rid of pena herrera alves kranjcar rossiter
holt windass wilson freeing up signifant wages
for me we can get better players for the amount these are costing us

craigs8688

1.) 23 Nov 2017 13:21:36
Alves? Really?

I think Holt is a great squad player, he will be on hee haw compared to others like Niko.

Herrera has not been given a fair chance in my opinion, he's scored 2 goals and I can't even remember him starting one game as of yet? Pedro bought him for 1.2m or something and brought him on at 87mins etc, baffling.

I don't know why we don't try playing him and Morelos upfront a front 2? He's strong and likes to header the ball, could be perfect to support Morelos as he looks very isolated at the moment.

2.) 23 Nov 2017 13:57:05
alves good player but is getting on bit and wages high would be better with younger defender on lower wages with potenial and sell on value

as for holt is only squad player so could replace him with better quality in mclean from aberdeen

and as for herrerra he mite be a good player but he ain't showing it so far so would replace him with loius moult

we do need start playing a partner for morelos as miller comes to far back would make sense to start herrera instead of miller till jan to see how he does as miller not offering much just now

3.) 23 Nov 2017 13:59:16
Bear mode might not be that baffling - I admire the die yards out there that will support any donkey in the clubs colours - but I’m a realist and try to be fair - and from what I’ve seen Herrera and Pena are absolutely mince - give them all the chances under the sun and support them but if a player is a dud that ain’t going to change - and am sorry Herrera and Pena in the Scottish game anyways and for gers are utter single fish!

4.) 23 Nov 2017 14:05:18
Agree with bearmode herrera needs a run as partner with morelos! OP the first thing new manager needs to do is get the group we have performing as the should be as we have more than enough quality to beat teams in our league! The last thing we need is a mass clear out

5.) 23 Nov 2017 14:10:03
“Holt” and “great” in the same sentence, jeezo

6.) 23 Nov 2017 14:13:08
To be fair to Pena, when he plays he scores. Ok his fitness levels are not exactly up to scratch but the way he was going he would have scored minimum 15 goals this year, we are crying out for a midfielder to give us 15 goals!

7.) 23 Nov 2017 14:13:13
To b honest i don't think we can afford to go 2 up top unless we revert to a 3.5.2 as we’ve not got the players to play a midfield 2

8.) 23 Nov 2017 14:35:57
Think that's a bit unfair SG, I didn't say he was a great player, I said he's a great squad player, he's fit and works very hard.

Can anybody honestly say he's done any worse than Dorrans in his absence? He's been one of the best lpayers for us since playing against St Johnstone away, should have started behind Morelos instead of Pena in the semi final I think. And before we mention the Hamilton game, he had nothing to do with the amount of chances Morelos missed and the mistakes the defence made.

I reiterate, he's a great squad player.

9.) 23 Nov 2017 14:36:38
Pena is a decent player if given half the chance and he ups his fitness, Herrera must surely be given a chance instead of Miller, Alves is world class, Kranjcar was again off the pace but he can turn a game, Holt full of energy and a great sub, Rossiter is injury prone, good when he plays but that's not often enough, Wilson is a great backup central defender but Windass I would dump, he is lazy and fades out of the game far too often

10.) 23 Nov 2017 14:57:35
jzer the problem obviously lies with the players there simply not good enough can not win 3 games on the bounce we have to many squad players who are average at best so get them of the wage bill in sign 4 5 quality players at afordable prices and wages
and use the youth as backup as they seem to be good enough

11.) 23 Nov 2017 16:11:21
honestly this is the reason we can't get anywhere.
we need to stick with these guys and build a team from here not start over again from scratch. we don't have the money to be buying 7 - 8 players we have to keep this squad and buy quality to add to it .

honestly the guys wanting a mass cull either have no awareness of our financial difficulties
or have no idea how to build a team. either way its not the right move and is also not even a feasable option.

12.) 23 Nov 2017 16:27:13
Craigs8688 - a feeling of deja vu i think.

13.) 23 Nov 2017 16:56:01
If we can't finish a comfortable 2nd this year with that squad then there's something far wrong! According to some we have had a disasterous season so far yet we're only 3 points behind Aberdeen! New manager needs to get this squad playing with confidence again and we should finish a clear 2nd! Obviously pains me too say it but that's a good season for us!

14.) 23 Nov 2017 19:08:51
I think that both Holt and Wilson justify their place in the squad, decent players who won't be on massive wages, and probably would cost more to replace with on par players than we would get by selling them!

15.) 23 Nov 2017 19:35:13
Peds11 u say the people who want a massive cull of players again must not have no awareness of our finances or don't no how to build a team
all the players I mentioned are all on high wages and not guaranteed games pena Herrera alves kranjcar rossiter these are not just random players i picked there all high earners and should be moved on from a financial point of view and Wilson windass Holt I feel we could getter value for our money there as well

16.) 24 Nov 2017 07:11:25
So peds11 incase I’m picking you up here your suggesting guys like me who want rid of the duds and off the wage bill are wrong? And we should stick with these duds even though we know they will not take us to the next level? You says we have no sense of our financial standings? I’m sorry but with they duds shipped out we can sign better players on a free on less wages than - Pena - Herrera- Wilson - windass - dalcio - hodson - guys are stealing a wage at our club it’s criminal .

17.) 24 Nov 2017 12:55:52
what i'm saying is the players u think are duds are not all duds just look at ronny dialas celtic awfull players under him but look at them now that a couple of quality players have been added and confidence is high.
i think maybe yes get rid of a few and i mean like 3 players but not 8 players as we don't have a squad big enough to do that without getting in another 8 to cover and with the m, oney we have to spend we wouldn't get the quality that we need to make our team great again .

this has happened already and we are no better off now than last season.

we need to add maybe two-three real quality playerslike celtic did and this will in turn make a lot of those players we have already better!

everyone entitled to their opinions but to try get 8 players in to cover the 8 we will lose in your plan will not take us forward imo

21 Nov 2017 11:43:23
maybe the hold up in the manager search is due to the board been so diveded on who to bring in and not having the finances to bring in the man they want
all the managers mentioned in the running are going to want a very good wage and at least the same player budget as pedro so this is also going be a big sticking point if we strugling for funds i no king said there would be funds available anying he says can be taking with a pinch of salt

craigs8688

1.) 22 Nov 2017 10:56:06
Yeah Craig but if that is the case then u would think that McInnes would be a better option regarding Wages, dunno how much this Resolution 11 will have an impact on the amount a new Manager could have either in Jan or nxt Year?

19 Nov 2017 09:55:31
If we as a club a serious about stopping Celtic dominance then I feel we have to go for some more experienced Scottish players
jammie Murphy good option LW
Naismith good option for RM or CF
Jonny Russell CF
Charlie Adam CM
macgregor GK
These players

craigs8688

1.) 19 Nov 2017 11:13:51
these player would be a big improvment on what we have and probaly available at afordable prices
naismith adam murphy all on the fringes at there club
only macgregor and russell currently getting games but both should still be afordable

2.) 19 Nov 2017 12:12:09
Do like Johnny Russell as a player but he would likely never move to us, big Celtic man who unlike some wouldn't entertain the thought of pulling on a rivals strip.

3.) 19 Nov 2017 18:43:13
russell mite come u never no till you try russell adam macgregor can sign pre contract in jan so there definitely worth trying to get

19 Nov 2017 09:09:09
The board have to take the majority of the blame for mess wee find ourselves in.
As soon as they where in the door a director of football and scouting network should been put in place.
Then we wouldn't be in the position of having to sell players again at knock down prices to free funds for our new manager.
As for the manager situion they where considering Pedro future for a while so why was due dillgence not done then and picked there preferd manager they want

its quite clear to see david king is not going invest signifiant funds so really he should keep quite and stop promising the fans things then not delivering on the promises it is that simple actions speak louder than words then he wouldn't get sluaghterd on hear for it

if these are the true amounts that the club are wanting then we are undervaluing some of them in my opinion we should be requesting 2 million for garner and tavenier with sell on percentage for tavenier and mackay should be sold for nothing less than 3 million with sell on josh windass at least 1 million the rest i would sell for small fees or release

with mckay if any clubs want him for a decent fee plus sell on percentage they should let the lad leave he is not consistent enough and the funds would help pedro in the transfer market he does not get enough goals or assists for the position he plays.

For me the board a going for McInnis because he knows the league and will get us closer to Celtic and who
No's with a bigger budget available to him we mite even be able to stop them winning league and cups we need stability and he can provide it
All the other names are unproven in the league with the exemption of McLeish but he spent a fortune last time

If the board are waiting till after agm to get funding in place then my bet on next rangers manager would be on one of these out of deboer gio postecoglou as all will want funds to strengthen the team significantly.

jzer our squad is not miles ahead of the others look at the table it doesn't lie this is the problem.
every man and there dog can see these players are not rangers class there just not good enough and any new manager is going won't his own players who he can trust and get performing for him these players failed under warburton pedro and now murty so i don't think getting a new manager will help till we remove a big chunck of these players particular the high earners who do not play

as for the board they are in a complete mess and best thing they could do for the club and fans is trying find a buyer for the club
or at least appoint a chairman who is at the club most of the time to see what is happning day in day out
