According to sky sports news Pulis isn't even getting thought about by Swansea. They looking at Koeman and Bilic according to SSN. But we know how things change in football.
I'm surprised that rangers ain't even told us they have spoken to someone or that they do have someone in mind without naming names at least that way we the fans can have some hope that they are actually doing something.

Totally agree with your point mate, the silence is deafening man.

2.) 21 Dec 2017 20:30:20
Because they probably don't have anyone in mind, took 6 wks to approach Aberdeen for McInnes with the arrogant assumption he'd say yes and then back to square one when he turned it down.

hey fellow Gers fans. Joey Barton and Rangers reach an agreement for contract termination.
source is SSN.

Good riddance to bad filth!

2.) 08 Nov 2016 19:59:34
What a deal that turned out to be cost us a fortune in wages and severence pay contributed absolutely nothing.

3.) 08 Nov 2016 20:13:44
there is no deal rangers offered joey 2 months wages and he promptly went on the panel with stress not the actions of a rangers player he could be there for a while yet.

4.) 08 Nov 2016 20:25:13
At least we didn't pay a fee for him. So basically all we have lost out on is wages. If he is away before year end, then we are saving the £1.5m, give or take, he would have earned by staying for 2 seasons. The severance pay he will get would have been 8 weeks wages anyway.

5.) 08 Nov 2016 20:40:22
Right its all clear now yes bartons been waste of money yet again. But personally i think he should off got least chance for godsake all because he opend his mouth we all knew wut he was like fore we signed him he was vocal and had opinion wich is good and bad but he never properly got chance with us tbh he was still behind in fitness aswell, now nobody can't deniy this but we get bullied in midfield we are lightweight n its disgrace just like the centre halfs we have start off the season tht should have been top priority defensive midfield and two good defenders and it never happend and worked out now were payin the price and it may cost warburton his jotters.

6.) 08 Nov 2016 20:46:16
Cumlin.

i think you will find rangers are going to have to pay min 1 year of his contract.

8 weeks. lol.

{Ed039's Note - You are wrong Kaney, he has agreed to mutual termination with an agreed severance of 2 months wages agreed being reported. This basically pays him up until the transfer window when he will be allowed to sign for another club, this leads to assumptions he already has a deal lined up)

7.) 08 Nov 2016 21:16:27
Be interesting to see if there's a gagging clause.

8.) 08 Nov 2016 21:51:13
Obviously I'm a Tim but a serious question regarding a gagging order. Do you prefer a gagging order or would you prefer to know what was going on behind the scenes even though it would be his version?

9.) 09 Nov 2016 00:04:08
I'd love to know real story.

10.) 09 Nov 2016 08:40:38
Q188? Do you know what's going on behind the scenes in the East end?

11.) 09 Nov 2016 09:20:31
barry middleton mate you don't know exactly what was said and what was said when they met again so u can't say he deserved a chance . there is only so much a manager will take before saying u will never play for this club again and as we know joey is a mouthpiece.
the reason we aren't as strong in the middle of the park is we play three in there an most teams are lining up a 5 midfield to overpower us in there.
I want warbs to stay but he has to realise soon that this formation is okay for some games and not for others. he must try a 4-4-2.

12.) 09 Nov 2016 11:00:56
the fact is warburton new what he was getting when he signed barton and should have managed him a lot better if he did the situnion would not have happend
for sum reason a lot of the signings have not worked out for this warburton has to take the blame he signed these players
got to agree i do not want warburton to go but he must change his formation quickly or he will put himself out of a job
at brentford he played players with a lot of pace and tenchnicaly good
players that suited this formation
it is plain to see our players
do not suit the formation this season is a step up in quality and we are beeing found out alot.

13.) 09 Nov 2016 16:07:28
Spot on craig.

14.) 09 Nov 2016 21:40:36
Wish there was a gagging clause on barrymiddleton!

15.) 09 Nov 2016 19:55:04
Bil72, no I obviously don't know what's going on but if we had a situation similar to this I would like to know both sides . We have had our problems with players and boards in the past but recently your boys seem to be stealing the limelight at the minute. I would prefer if clubs were a bit more open, I'm sure fights go on all the time at training grounds . There must be more to it than that for your club to ban him for so long, then cut his contract.

16.) 14 Nov 2016 19:05:47
I would get big eck back.

Young Knox from Livingston having second trial with Man U. says he would prefer move to England rather than ibrox.

d4rr3n81

1.) 22 Aug 2016 16:49:05
Who?

2.) 22 Aug 2016 17:30:18
Another Ill-advised youngster ready to make the wrong decision career wise! Not suggesting he should come to Rangers but Man Utd? Aye, yer gonnae break into that first team nae bother! He'll be out on trial at league one clubs in another 4 years!

3.) 22 Aug 2016 19:41:06
If we offered them the right money this time last year he would be at us usual bidding 75000 for him they wanted 150000 if he that good surely we could have paid right price for him.

4.) 22 Aug 2016 20:38:35
Very true mando. Instead we paid plenty for MOH and £250k for a guy who can't get a start in front of a 36yr old.!

5.) 22 Aug 2016 20:46:34
Good luck to the young boy, hope he does not get lost down there.

6.) 22 Aug 2016 20:53:22
Id heard it was his agent that pulled him away knowing bigger teams were going to be in for him.

7.) 22 Aug 2016 20:56:26
Dood is a good young prospect and potentially better than this Livingstone kid. I would rather we spend the money on the young centre back from raith Rovers.

8.) 22 Aug 2016 21:33:01
agree, Young centre back Bates should play against St Mirren tomo in development league.

9.) 24 Aug 2016 05:33:32
Mando7662, i agree with you regarding knox and the fee we offered Livingston but It was March this year we offered them the £75,000 not last year.

hearing that Rangers are joint favourites to sign Will Grigg with Hull city. just passing on what I was told by my Hull City supporting friend. he advised me that his source was Hull City newsnow.
don't know what this player is like or finances involved just passing rumour on.

d4rr3n81

1.) 02 Aug 2016 21:35:58
I think he would be a pretty decent signing. After the song came out and he got this new cult following I expected there to be a bit more interest in him. i'd personally take him over most of our other targets he still has time to improve and wages won't be an issue.

2.) 02 Aug 2016 22:11:50
How many times? We won't be signing will grigg! The magic hat has already stated this! Unless certain 'gers fans out there don't believe warbs.

For me its not where arfeild is better on the park I think he is more effective when he is fighting for his position on the pitch as he starts going off the boil if he starts getting a run of games keeping him on his toes keeps him producing. Adding Jack Wilshere if we did would be a huge statement of intent to the manky mob. Despite where people think we need him or not he would be great player in squad to have yes it would be a risk with his injuries but maybe a salary based more on pay as you play for this season with an option of further years and if he pulled away from his passed injuries he would be a huge asset to the team with his knowledge. that's my opinion anyway.

d4rr3n81

1.) 21 Oct 2020 10:13:21
Why would Jack Wiltshire come to Scotland on a pay was you play deal? All of the risk is on him and he’s left with no security. He will earn more sitting injured at a club like QPR. There is nothing in that deal that would make a player say ‘Yes I want some of that’.

Then we have the second point which I think people know and just keep brushing over. he can’t train at the intensity we do, fitter people have failed under SG.

Lastly, given our current form and the strength we have in midfield, he’s unlikely to play. I’m not saying fully fit he’s not good enough, more who would you drop on current form?

Can I ask and see how many people on here would welcome a Mike Ashley take over at Rangers?

I'm not sure our board have the money for the investment of a club our size. I think it's a case of thank you for the mess and corruption you got us out off, away and make yourself some profit by selling rangers to someone that can actually invest heathly into the club.

d4rr3n81

1.) 21 Dec 2017 18:29:46
Considering Mike Ashley was pulling the strings to the mess and corruption you talk about I don't know why you'd bring him up. He is not interested in over investing just over eating.

2.) 21 Dec 2017 18:31:02
Not for me thanks.

3.) 21 Dec 2017 18:22:35
nobody with a brain

4.) 21 Dec 2017 19:32:52
No chance, he's barred from ibrox for life; well should be!

5.) 21 Dec 2017 19:43:35
Ashley prayed on us when we were weakest and did his best to milk the cub and the fan base dry.

The site of young mothers pushing their prams behind Bomber as they marched on Ibrox and donated what little hard earned money to the fighting fund will forever be printed in my memory as a truly dark day for the club I have proudly supported my entire life.

Ashley was pulling the strings for green and they would of both been happy to watch out club disappear into the dust if it made them both a quick buck.

The green/ Ashley days have been some of the most shameful, darkest and bleakest days in our proud clubs history. The clubs has been severely lacking integrity since Walter left and I value this a lot higher than whatever self intere, modest cash injection he might promise,

6.) 21 Dec 2017 20:42:00
Well said Dunc some people would sell their soul for the promise of some money don’t care where from me I’d rather stick with present board than let people like that little Tuesday anywhere near Ibrox.

7.) 21 Dec 2017 20:49:04
our size. yes years ago I would say our size. but now our team is in middle class. ( most of english lower leagues would tear us apart ) we may be the famous Glasgow Rangers. but at the moment we are nothing more than a mediocre team that can't compete in our own league. what chance is a take over going to happen. get real here fans. we will always play second fiddle to Celtic till we win the league and get to group stages of champions league. sorry for the dimness but I may be right here.

8.) 21 Dec 2017 20:51:46
Don't think he'd ever be accepted after all his petty squabbling and shenanigans. Need someone with his bank balance though

9.) 21 Dec 2017 20:52:19
no chance never want fat man anywhere near us

Who thinks Tony Pulis would be a good option?
Personally if we're looking at building our great club again then I don't think there is a better option.
Look at what he has done to clubs he has been at left them all in a great shape. I feel he is a manager that deserves to be a manager of a massive club like The Mighty Gers.

d4rr3n81

1.) 16 Dec 2017 08:55:07
Pulis as manager and Murty as coach.

2.) 16 Dec 2017 13:12:33
Already been in contact with Pulis. Wanted 5m for the job. No go.

3.) 16 Dec 2017 14:55:47
thats on par with pochettino at spurs so if that's true then he will be on the dole queue a while!

I have defended MW. But I genuinely feel the time has come for him to go. Ian Cathro realise the squad he had needed new players around the the squad and Hearts with not much money got themselves 4/ 5 players. MW went after Oxford, so he saw we need someone in defence and when Oxford deal never happened he did nothing. MW has a fetish for midfielders ànd we get an average player in toral when we already have Forrester. the American lad does look great and I would be much happier if he was a bit and not a loan but I understand there is no money for players but why not do what the other mob done with Patrick Roberts and get him on an 18 month loan at least we could enjoy him for another season. Personally we need a full new defence and our current defence would be fairly good back ups. holiday needs sold. so a replacement for him. then we need a right winger and we need a goal scoring striker not a striker that gets stuck in or one that can play in other positions we need a fox in the box. Finally I think it's time for new coaching staff but DK must fund the departure of MW himself as he kept him hear. MW thank you for the promotion but it's time to got.

Crouch no good we don't cross the ball enough and we don't put corners in the box and he can't move with the ball at his feet.
