In an ideal world we wouldn't need to sell any players in Jan. But if we have to the two I think wouldn't disrupt the team too much are Patterson and Kamara. If Kent goes too I would trust GVB to come up with a decent young Dutch winger to replace him.

hbear

1.) 14 Nov 2021 14:50:16
And with all the money awash in the Premiership they will still expect to get them on the cheap.

2.) 14 Nov 2021 15:12:51
Kamara and hagi.

3.) 14 Nov 2021 16:40:37
Would be shocked if someone didn't move on in jan. Hagi or kamara imo.

4.) 14 Nov 2021 16:44:46
I think we will lose Ken but we should get £30m + and I would be too surprised if we lost Kamara.
I am told that Everton will come back for Patterson and I fear that he might go for around £10m and we will have lost a quality full back.
So long as we get GVB as manager then I would be confident that we can easily replace both Kent and Kamara so long as he is given the funds to back him.
If we end up with McInnes or Neil, (God forbid), then there could be a total exodus of our best players and replacements would simply not be good enough.

5.) 14 Nov 2021 17:17:24
30 million+ for kent? Behave.

6.) 14 Nov 2021 17:41:32
I think we'll get £10million for kamara and at least £15million for kent🤔I would definitely prefer kamara to be sold as opposed to kent.

7.) 14 Nov 2021 17:44:22
I will say we would get 17 mill ish for kent. not sure liverpool fully paid back yet. Also liverpool have 20% sell on fee.

8.) 14 Nov 2021 17:56:02
Kent is over-rated. If we double our money its a no brainer. Kamara is the 1 we really have to sell . what a return that would be for the club! Patterson has to stay, will leave in future for big bucks.

9.) 14 Nov 2021 18:15:44
Ryan kent no way overrated for me my friend! He's unplayable at his best and the best/ most talented footballer currently at ibrox for me, bar none👌.

10.) 14 Nov 2021 18:20:11
Kent deal was paid in full last year.

11.) 14 Nov 2021 18:30:39
20 million Kent not a lot of money for premier league team.4million of that to Liverpool 10 million to debt 6 million for transfers sounds about right to me. Or could be 16million with a sell on clause 3.2 million to Liverpool 8 million to debt 4.8 transfers. Rather keep to end of season though as if we will all values go up needs to be silly money for us to risk title in january.

12.) 14 Nov 2021 18:30:43
30 million for Kent 🤣🤣. Lay off the sherry.

13.) 14 Nov 2021 19:15:04
30m oh dear. Blue tinted specs or what 😂he's a decent player, on his day really really good but very inconsistent and can go missingvfor 3 or 4 games at a time. no way anybodybpayscclosevto that money for him. I'd say about 12m with add ons much closer than some of the crazy prices banded about onnhere.

14.) 14 Nov 2021 19:21:37
Has he not got a 20 mill buy out clause? If so it would be good if we could hold out for that.

15.) 14 Nov 2021 20:42:16
add another 50m and they could have alf too.

16.) 15 Nov 2021 10:31:08
Needs changed to 'rangers guessing by Walter Mitty types'

Gers-berrs get the hang of it.

I'd be tempted to throw the kitchen sink at young Wilson in terms of finance and also dangle the prospect of a debut on Sunday either from the bench or as a starter. Major gamble, yes but how did a sixteen year old DJ do in his league cup final debut against Celtic?

hbear

1.) 31 Mar 2022 17:37:44
kemar roofe would be happy about that 😂.

2.) 31 Mar 2022 17:39:17
H ear r u serious, he’s not played for b team yet.

DJ did not make his debut in that game.

3.) 31 Mar 2022 18:13:59
Don't think he can play Sunday?

4.) 31 Mar 2022 18:26:47
What has he done to Deserve a debut on Sunday? Ridiculous.

5.) 31 Mar 2022 18:27:34
I agree completely. Why not make him captain also? And possibly manager for the day. Fabulous post.

6.) 31 Mar 2022 18:42:59
Wilson could be a very good player in the future, to think about playing him on sunday is nuts.

7.) 31 Mar 2022 18:55:38
Jesus guys everyone is entitled to their opinion you don't have to agree with it but don't have to ridicule him either.

8.) 31 Mar 2022 19:24:55
i would like to know who clicked the clapping hands emoji, beggars belief.

9.) 31 Mar 2022 19:52:50
Thanks Wullie. I was at DJ's game against Celtic and he was a big, raw lad. From what I'm hearing about Wilson he's better coached and has more experience of playing against English and European opposition. He should be well aware of what happened to wee Gilmour who chased the big bucks and is now miles away from getting a chance at Chelsea. if the boy's good enough he should be a part of the squad. Can you imagine Jock Wallace holding him back?

10.) 31 Mar 2022 20:04:13
Throw the kitchen sink if you like, I'd like to throw your idea in the bin mate.

11.) 31 Mar 2022 20:20:21
I don't have your intellect or biting humour Snell. But I do have a long history of following my team which I think entitles me to an opinion.

12.) 31 Mar 2022 20:38:39
Thats one outrageous statement hbear🤔 Can't happen pal simple as that!

13.) 31 Mar 2022 23:40:50
Regarding Wilson, its his agent and dad who's mentioning a move done south. It's all talk to big the young lad up. If he had any sense he'll stay at Rangers for now.

14.) 31 Mar 2022 23:49:33
I live in hope that Morelos will be in the Team but I fear not. That being the case we have no option but to play Roofe but it is a serious concern since we don't have anyone with Morelos qualities when it comes to outmuscling defences and terrorising the Centre backs. For me we should never have Brough Itten back from his Loan and we should have strengthened our backup options.

We are where we are and we need to make the best of it.
One thing is for sure, we need every player up for this game, take no prisoners, win at all costs! It really is that simple!

15.) 31 Mar 2022 23:54:33
Never said you weren't mate. Was having a laugh. It's a banter site.

21 Mar 2022 23:34:05
Teams have shown how to disrupt our game this season by feigning injury. wasting time and trying to snatch a goal from a set piece in injury time. Our idiotic young away support did it for them. Do these people know anything about football?

Anyone else old enough to remember what Eintracht did us the last time we faced them in Europe?

hbear

1.) 18 Mar 2022 12:19:23
No but my late dad, god rest his soul 🙏 told me about it hbear 🤔But let's be honest this eintracht frankfurt team are nowhere near the level of that eintracht team, although as i said earlier, there's no mugs at this level.

2.) 18 Mar 2022 12:46:54
Drawn against Braga away first leg in quarter finals not bad at all 🇬🇧🇬🇧.

3.) 18 Mar 2022 14:51:06
H bear in the return leg I heard the announcer on radio say Rangers 3 and I thought we had won, but then he said Frankfurt 6. Just imagine what the score would have been if we had played Real Madrid in the Final.
Also went to the game when we opened the Hampden lights, what a crowd that night, and a much better result.

4.) 18 Mar 2022 15:33:10
Nice to know I'm old enough to be your dad SWS! As you say they were a helluva team in their day though, going on to contest the European Cup final at Hampden against Real Madrid. This is one of my first memories of Europe and we took some heavy aggregate beatings around the start of the sixties, losing 12 goals to Eintracht, 8 goals to Standard Liege and losing 8 to Spurs. Ironically this was the best Rangers team I remember - the Ritchie, Shearer, Caldow team - and we were virtually untouchable in the domestic game although, again I remember losing 5 - 1 at home to the great Dundee team who won the league in 62.
Great chance now to beat Braga and get into a winnable semi final, making an old man very happy!

31 Jan 2022 07:30:41
I watched the whole of the Celtic game on Saturday and they were awful. We have better players.
Also re the negativity about our finances is it not the case that the second placed team in the league can also qualify for the CL through the play offs? Even if we don't win the league - and I think we will - CL money and the transfer of three or so of our current team will raise around $40m so there will be plenty for a rebuild.
Keep the faith!

1.) 31 Jan 2022 07:40:57
Cheers hbear, a nice positive post to start the week, I needed that, nice one bud.

2.) 31 Jan 2022 07:57:21
The problem as we found this season is qualifying through play offs but we shouldn't need to as imo we have better players.

3.) 31 Jan 2022 07:59:01
They were awful and won we were awful and drew that’s the difference at the moment and or lead is getting less and less.

4.) 31 Jan 2022 08:05:30
We are throwing daft points away left right n centre. Could be 10+points in front and out of sight by now.

5.) 31 Jan 2022 08:24:40
Agreed here we go. minimum 6. there 2 last min winners. we've thrown away 2 last mins v hearts and county aswel. Frustrating.

6.) 31 Jan 2022 09:47:50
That’s what decides leagues. I would like GVB to show a bit more passion. Hold them out until they tire and use our pace on counter attacks. It’s our full backs inability to stop crosses coming in that worries me.

22 Nov 2021 12:49:16
Yesterday wasn't a bad start for GVB it was a bad finish for SG. This was his team and formation with all the problems of the past half dozen games magnified.
We don't need major surgery we need a couple of fresh faces and the removal of a couple of past their sell date prima donnas - Goldson and Morelos come to mind. Good players like Tavarnier and Kent need dropping until they regain their confidence and form.
Of all the trophies available to us this season this is the one I'd have chosen to lose. Our sole focus now has got to be the retention of the title.

hbear

1.) 22 Nov 2021 12:56:10
Tav is not a good player as his job is a defender and he can’t defend.

2.) 22 Nov 2021 13:17:40
Gerrard started a new job last week so unless you know something we don't then he never picked the team, formation or made the questionable substitutions.
It was all down to the temporary management team.
But Gerrard is an easy get out for some and will continue to be if the unimaginable happens and Gio gets off to a poor start.

3.) 22 Nov 2021 13:42:48
MPH here we go again! It was Gerrards team out there you said it numouris times that Gerrard leaves us with a great side in a semi, 4 points clear blah blah blah but yesterday was the reality of what he’s left behind a divided dressing room full of overrated players and that’s why he left he couldn’t get a tune out of them and failed to get us to the champions league so he couldn’t get out quick enough! And still you defend him unquestionably!

4.) 22 Nov 2021 13:57:21
Morelos is not fit as he is going out on the town to sanctuary every week.
Bevying lots and eating lots.
He was a disgrace yesterday jogging around half fit.

5.) 22 Nov 2021 14:55:46
Morelos is an absolute disgrace of a professional he must be easily half stone overweight, a honestly can’t see any true leaders on that park can you imagine, a gough, weir, Ferguson reaction if you are 3-0 down to hibs they would be tearing heads off players.

6.) 22 Nov 2021 15:32:38
There wasn't a lot of options in terms of who to play yesterday given the poor transfer decisions made in the summer. Something has been wrong at the Club since the end of last season, who knows what, for me we need a systematic change of personnel across the field, a new goal keeper, a number of new defenders, a new midfield and we might just be ok up front if we ever get round to signing a quality winger. Above all, the number one priority should be to only sign leaders and those with a winning mentality.
Other than young Patterson I am not sure who else we could bring in to the starting eleven that would make that much difference!

I think this could work in Rangers favour as Beale can get to show how he could shape up as a manager for a few years before Gerrard goes to Liverpool. Very sorry also yesterday to hear of Jimmy Millar dying. As a wee boy at Ibrox in the early sixties he was my hero.

Rangers game did kick off a half hour earlier Robbie. As the Celtic game had gone to extra time I tried to convince myself on the way home, it would be good for the Scottish game if Celtic got through. I got back just in time to watch Dixie Dean blast his penalty over the bar. Happy days.

As a "ten pound" pom family member, I was a Rangers fanatic in Australia in the 1960's. I realise the expat fans will be desperate to see the team and so I would fully support the idea of a friendly over there, provided we are guaranteed the same money as Celtic. The wee boys who make up the Union Bears don't represent my views and I have been a Gers fan a wee bit longer than them - 60 plus years. I find their songbook away from home a disgrace and would like to remove the drumsticks from the wee moron who bangs out his 90 minute crap and stick them in a place he would struggle to reach.
