I seem to remember thousands of excited fans gathering in the east end just to see Robbie Keane sign a loan deal to Celtic that was supposed to help them secure the league title just like Craig Bellamy signing a loan deal was supposed to guarantee them the title a few years before.

Naz no one I criticising the loan market. All clubs in the world no use this to their advantage ( usually) to get round financial fair play rules ( falcoa) comes to mind . Can i wish a happy new year to all bears, bhoys, sheep, etc who contribute, a special thanks to the staff who monitor this site.
Let's hope for a violence free game, with no arrests, no damage to the stadium, with respect paid during the minutes silence.
I still remember my late fathers tears, when he learned that a work mate had died at the game. RIP to those who perished, and thoughts to families still mourning at this time of the year.
Hope you all enjoy the game, however can't wish the bears the best lol.
I have a party for sixty plus mixed supporters to organise over the next few hours, plenty beer in coolers, sunny sky, temps in 30s, roll on 5.45pm Indian standard time.

Cheers ed, straight to beach after the match, midnight comes for us 5.5 hours earlier than uk.
Its good to have the old firm match earlier, gives everyone a chance to get the kilt on a few hours early.

Are the bears who stated on an earlier post still confident of turning us over on Hogmanay.
I believe another lesson will be handed out by the bhoys, and the next four months, will confirm that there really is an extending gulf between Celtic and sevco new rangers.

I love the sevco new club part of that post. If you truly believe that then you should be exceptionally worried at how small the gap is considering (in your opinion) we are only four years old. If you are going to try and have a dig at least try and make some sense.

As you know Bhoys, these games can go either way however, I don't share the same optimism as some of my fellow Bears. Our recent run has, in my opinion, only papered over the cracks. On our day we can play some attractive stuff and can give most teams a game, so the question is, will this be one of those days?
I very much doubt it, as they are so infrequent and I fear we are onto a hiding. All I hope for is a good showing and a relatively narrow scoreline.
Compete with Celtic, can't even compete with the other team in Glasgow yet.
To my fellow Bears, I love my team dearly and wish I could be more upbeat but this is only my honest opinion of where I see my team now.
For all those going to the game, have a good day out and remember, it's only for 90 minutes, then we should all act like adults again.
