Anyone heard anything regarding the 2 Yanks on trial 2 weeks ago?
Rumour was they'd both been offered deals but heard nothing since.

1.) 07 Jan 2019 15:05:03
Have not signed yet.

01 Nov 2018 09:25:48
Reports that we're interested in bringing Lewis Macleod back after he rejected an extension to his contract at Brentford.

1.) 01 Nov 2018 17:25:57
Have heard this in a few places, mcallister apparently rates him highly.

2.) 01 Nov 2018 17:51:49
Bring him home. Quality player, wants to return home. He's over his injury/ health problems. Free transfer. Creative and dynamic midfielder. No brainer.

3.) 01 Nov 2018 18:42:28
This could be the midfielder we want, great passer scores goals, better than loan players we have in the middle in my opinion.

4.) 01 Nov 2018 21:30:13
Stop looking backwards.

5.) 01 Nov 2018 22:11:47
Hopefully get him in January on a cut price deal.

6.) 01 Nov 2018 22:47:27
what's with this obsession about bringing back former players.
Surely the DOF job is to find new talent, instead of bringing back guys who are surplus to to their clubs requirements.
If he's that good he would get a better offer. than he would get here.

7.) 02 Nov 2018 06:30:15
MacKay and Lewis Macleod are of a standard but we need far better then those two! we need premier league class or as near as we can get. let's jog on from those two.

8.) 02 Nov 2018 12:51:54
I would take him back even as a squad player or on a 2 year deal, gives him chance to prove what he's about.

9.) 02 Nov 2018 13:42:45
In six seasons as a pro he's missed the equivalent of three seasons through injury and illness. He's scored three goals in the past four seasons. If we're looking for an answer this guy is well down the list.

10.) 06 Nov 2018 16:39:49
Lewis Mcleod. We'd be better with Ally Mcleod. This is a massive retro step. He's nowhere near creative moving ball forward which is what we need.

11.) 06 Nov 2018 20:44:32
The midfielder we are looking for is at the club. Jordan Rossiter will come good just like alfredo did.

10 Aug 2018 21:35:33
£500,000 bid submitted for Lafferty according to RTR.

1.) 10 Aug 2018 22:25:49
If this is true then Hearts may exclude Lafferty from tomorrows game against Celtic which in my opinion would be a bad move as his goal scoring record against them is decent. I would of thought if Rangers are still interested in him that they would of waited until after tomorrows game.

2.) 10 Aug 2018 22:31:19
According to who jolliboy?

3.) 10 Aug 2018 22:42:47
Not the inspiring signing that I was hoping for but feel he will do a good enough job for us can see him getting 15+.

4.) 10 Aug 2018 23:51:07
My mistake, it was on Rangers News Feed. Maybe not the most inspiring signing of the window but an improvement on what we had last season for sure. He loves the club, hates the Tic and can play as lone striker. Personally I think he’d be good competition for Morelos.

5.) 10 Aug 2018 23:52:49
I agree RH9 he will be desperate to come back to us and give his all for the shirt.

6.) 11 Aug 2018 01:23:33
Yeah it's not true at all Its tactics and politics once again coming from the Agents themselves to put Kyle Lafferty off of his stride against the mankys!

7.) 11 Aug 2018 01:30:34
We are not interested in Laffertyvin the slightest There had been no bid from 2 weeks ago.

8.) 11 Aug 2018 06:54:10
if were not interested in the slightest why did we bid in the first place🤔.

9.) 11 Aug 2018 09:09:15
Craig Levein confirmed another bid did he not?

10.) 11 Aug 2018 09:51:19
Yeah two weeks ago! Kyle Lafferty is a decent player and would be even better with us than he would with Hearts due to the connection he has with our club

A good addition he would be and certainly sufficient cover in the team but if you want my opinion he is nothing more than a squad player

We should be aiming higher if we are to try win the League and I reckon Rangers have to play two upfront in SPL games!

Just my opinion of course Does anyone else agree?!

11.) 11 Aug 2018 10:13:20
So you want to aim higher than lafferty but you'd settle for windass? We are not interested yet we have bid for him? I'm starting to feel bad for mocking you kaz, I was brought up not to mock the afflicted. 🙃.

12.) 11 Aug 2018 10:52:08
Windass is not a striker though and scored 18 goals for us mostly from a attacking midfield role

Lafferty will probably get us 15+ goals at most.

13.) 11 Aug 2018 11:00:27
Did windass not leave because he wanted to play the no9 role🤔. Windass thinks he's a striker but you don't. C'mon kaz you're better than this🙃.

14.) 11 Aug 2018 11:07:00
Lafferty scored 18 goals for hearts last season but somehow you think he'll score less for us🤔, you're making this too easy for me kaz🙃.

15.) 11 Aug 2018 11:47:12
Was that not 18 in all competitions Coldo?

I like Lafferty but surely he is just a squad player

Morelos and going by what I see of Sadiq so far will both be better players

Lafferty is there for cover nothing more

Do you think Lafferty can create enough competition to make the two forwards play better?

For arguments sake, imagine getting someone like Solanke where you'd think we would have to go for two upfront and you then therefore have Sadiq/ Morelos fighting for a place, which inevitably will make him/ them want to prove themselves!

Lafferty I must say gives us another dimension but he will be a bit part player he will not break a regular

Its seems we are going more with quantity/ cover upfront

Would you call him a quality player?

Just my opinion Coldo.

16.) 11 Aug 2018 11:49:38
Maybe enough quality for the SPL

I reckon can bring in better tbh.

17.) 11 Aug 2018 12:17:21
Yes it was in all competitions just like windass goals were in all competitions🙃, yes there is better out there, of course there is. Lafferty is proven in our league and we know what he will bring👍.

18.) 11 Aug 2018 13:18:59
Kaz imagine we had solanke- and sadiq and morelos were fighting for a spot? Who says solanke is a definate starter? He would have to come here and prove himself would he not? just for arguments sake.

19.) 11 Aug 2018 13:38:30
He would be a definite start though until proven otherwise and it would be purely down to the wages we would be paying him!

20.) 11 Aug 2018 14:25:20
I am under the impression that u have to prove yourself and fight for a place do u not? If that's the case i better try a bit better at my workplace or i might no have a job.

21.) 11 Aug 2018 14:31:41
Kaz, do you think windass would have won that game for hearts with a strike like that? Kyle lafferty "maybe enough quality for the spl" you say🤔. You are absolute full of it mate. The guy is a match winner👍.

22.) 11 Aug 2018 14:35:28
Coldco stand being painted.
Who cares about windass, ex player or Hearts.

23.) 11 Aug 2018 14:53:37
I don't agree with much of what Coldo says, but anyone doubting Lafferty's quality really doesn't have a clue about football. The guy is top class and Rangers would be much better for him in the side.

24.) 11 Aug 2018 14:58:37
Jboy what you gibbering about now? Incase you have not noticed we are debating whether or not an ex player will improve us so I would imagine a few might care👍, sorry if you have been offended at any point🙃👍.

25.) 11 Aug 2018 15:16:37
I was responding to two separate threads, re sports direct signs, stand is being painted and rangers let's go signs going up
Also agree with u re lafferty, I'm with u windass not as good as Kyle, would add to our squad.

26.) 12 Aug 2018 13:20:36
🎣🎣🎣 Loving it.

29 Aug 2016 21:16:04
Hear we have won the race to sign the 17yr old Finnish winger Serge Atakayi.
One for the youth side.

1.) 30 Aug 2016 10:04:57
At least we are making moves for youth players these days :)

26 Jun 2014 09:32:46
ED, is there any talk of Scott Allen coming to Gers? Promising young Scot, on a free transfer, who also happens to be a Rangers fan and has stated he would love to come to the club. Would much rather see this type of player being signed for us with a potential sell on fee than 36 year old strikers and 31 year old midfielders (Don Cowie)

{Ed039's Note - He is rated by the coaching staff but his wage would be a problem, especially in the current budget)

HITC saying we should be considering an offer for McKenna at Aberdeen if the Cooper bid fails. First time I've ever agreed with anything HITC has to say. Big, strong, left footed CH with proven PL experience and at 22, and a couple Scotland caps already could have a decent sell on value. Rumours of Swansea sniffing round him with a 2M bid being considered. Surely a better and cheaper option than Cooper.

1.) 15 Jul 2018 20:26:58
HITC is a clickbait site. Churns out hundreds of articles a week based on a handful of tweets from random people. Not worth reading ever

2.) 15 Jul 2018 20:48:22
Agreed total clickbait and they'd never sell to us.

3.) 15 Jul 2018 21:26:40
I know for a fact that McKenna has no interest in coming to us. Would be a waste of a bid. If he is to leave Aberdeen its for England said it many times on here.

4.) 16 Jul 2018 00:13:50
Aye, HITC is click bait garbage that basically grab hold of any rumour even if it's just talk on sites like this and Twitter, puts it out like it's real news and hopes for clicks.

It's not uncommon to see 5+ different reports from them every day on Rangers alone.

5.) 16 Jul 2018 00:20:20
Guys, we already have better than McKenna. I think the young lad Wilson is more than ready to step in to cover, or indeed stake a claim for a regular slot

6.) 16 Jul 2018 09:45:09
Wilson should be fourth choice behaved nd goldstone Katic plus one

7.) 16 Jul 2018 13:02:36
Been saying I fancy McKenna to us for months now. Think he would be a terrific signing for that kind of cash.
and would significantly weaken one of our rivals.

28 Jul 2016 15:58:29
Warburton just been interviewed and categorically denied RVP coming to Gers. No interest, no enquiry, no deal.
Move on people, he is out of our pay scale.

1.) 28 Jul 2016 17:33:07
What a surprise!

2.) 28 Jul 2016 23:17:20
IMO If a player has made his money, serious money, and is playing in the States, If he realises he has 2-3yrs left at top level he may want to play them wage cut and all experiencing an Old Firm. That's the only way I can fathom Villa RVP Lampard or whoever coming to Glasgow. Why spend remainder of careers playing Portland Timbers in a country that football is the 4th sport AND could prob go back there after doing so. Barton could've went somewhere else for money and I'm thinking the same for Nico, there is also the chance of CL. But just to be part of a team challenging and winning Cups with passionate supporters who will giv u the biggest buzz would be a very hard thing to ignore. I think it comes down to the player and their decision of money or that feeling that they got during their careers in Europe, kinda difficult to explain when your talking about a player going from 70-80-90k+ a week to 20k but these guys who we would be in the market for are 31-32yrs+ and must have more than enough £££ and guys like Villa Lampard have grown up knowing about the Gers especially the latter and lots more out there. Warbs and McParland havva sumfina acookin up ;)

To be honest I’ve never watched the boy play other than against us where he barely got a sniff. But plenty ex players/ pundits have spoken about his work ethic, clever runs and ability to be in the right place at the right time and then put the ball in the back of the net, which sets him apart from Nicky Clark. If Gerrard goes for him, it’s good enough for me.

And you're in a better position to judge that than the manager FD? Boy has had flashes of good play but generally looks disinterested. Personally I'll let Caixhina be the judge of if he's good enough or not.

Paterson has 5 caps for Scotland, so I suppose that'll make him an international player too.

Reilly is on loan to Dunfermline, has been for a couple of weeks. Either your source is speaking out his hoop or this is just part of your imagination.
