Apparantly jack and naishame are done deals.

nellylad

1.) 18 May 2017 10:08:15
I also heard naismith is coming in

2.) 18 May 2017 10:28:56
Hope I'm wrong but I don't think Naismith will offer much, he is far from the player he was when first at Ibrox!

3.) 18 May 2017 10:52:09
I can believe the Ryan Jack signing, I doubt the Naismith deal. Pedro has stated the players he wants are players he has played with and against. Naismith is a player I highly doubt he has seen. If it happens I won't be against it.

4.) 18 May 2017 11:07:31
One of naismiths best attributes was his pace, has he still got it at 32? Not seen much of him lately. I Suppose he could still be a decent striker in Scotland and europa qualifiers.

5.) 18 May 2017 11:25:38
He's 30

6.) 18 May 2017 11:30:53
Is he only 30? Maby it was whittaker i seen tht was 32. Sorry troops!

7.) 18 May 2017 11:57:10
Whittaker was one of our slowest players when he was at us not a bad player but he was never quick. same goes for naisy.

8.) 18 May 2017 13:11:08
Great start if Alves, Jack and Naismith come in

9.) 18 May 2017 13:56:42
Ryan Jack is a must IMO. I think Naismith would add a bit of quality that we've been missing all season, I truly believe we'll be getting a better player this time round with the experience he got in the EPL. Alves would be a great signing short term, if he played reguarly in serie A last season he should stroll it here. I'm still keen on both Moult and Cummings, think Moult would thrive at Rangers, he's been a standout in a poor Motherwell team and his stature would give us something different up top. Same goes for Cummings, when he's on his game he's a player, fits the bill as a young aspiring Scottish player who knows the league and knows how to score goals in it.

10.) 18 May 2017 17:23:54
Naismith will be known to Caixinha I think. Was Pedro not Assistant Manager at Panathanaikos in 2008. We played them and Naismith was def in squad. Can't remember if he featured though!

11.) 18 May 2017 18:13:10
Whittaker ws pish at defendin he ws better goun forward. Naisy had a good burst a pace when he was in Scotland tho. No seen any them play on ages apart fae the odd scotland gme fr naisy

12.) 19 May 2017 10:23:10
I heard dorrans is close to a done deal also.

13.) 19 may 2017 15:32:19
ronnie r9 naisy is probably better than when he left us imo .
form what i've seen he still has the fitness of a guy in his early 20's like miller and gives 100 percent and is miles miles better than what we have so call him naishame to our teams detriment!

listen to ourselves honestly half the people that don't like naismith because of something he said in a pressconferance are the same people that love kenny miller a guy that scored against us for them and kisse their manky badge.

i myself forgive miller but i can much easier forgive naisy as saying something and doing something are two different things.

i also don't blame anyone from walking away when they did

Read on a couple of online sports transfer rumours pages that crouch or Heskey as possible targets. don't get me wrong maybe in their heyday but a 34 year old streak of pish and a 38 year old with half decent hold up play doesn't seem to fit into our style of play. Think the media just link any person to rangers. Would be nice for a proven goalscorer under 30. Also a mobile tank of a defender that takes 0 ****s on a football pitch.

nellylad

1.) 01 Aug 2016 06:12:51
No chance we will sign heskey lol.

2.) 01 Aug 2016 08:10:26
Cant see us signing either. Heskeys a dud and crouch is passed it and doesn't suit our playing style.

3.) 01 Aug 2016 09:18:34
Heskey is retired. Was on TV with Lennon and they said that's why he didn't go to Hibs.

4.) 01 Aug 2016 10:05:21
I said long ago that Crouch had been spoken to and was an option.

5.) 01 Aug 2016 10:39:41
I know ill get dogs abuse but i think crouch is a decent option. he offers something different and would give us an outlet up top for corners/ crosses.

6.) 01 Aug 2016 10:58:52
we need to stope thinking about guys like hesky and crouch, they are way too old guys.
Its bad enough we signed clint hill wich I wasn't sure about and am definitely not happy with now the guys has no pace nor does most players over 33 we should be looking for defenders in my opinion another two centre backs as our defence isn't up to scratch!

7.) 01 Aug 2016 11:46:05
Its all about communication and being comfortable for our CB's. If we bought two new ones with the intention of them starting then it would be a disaster waiting to happen. Wilson will be the main starting CB and MW/ DW are looking for the best partner for him.

8.) 01 Aug 2016 14:02:10
super ally I don't agree it all about communication, because big clint hill shouts and communicates a lot but doesn't defend that well himself.
Look at last year balls straight through the middle where beating us so not signing another at least one starting cb one with much better quality than what we have now then that would be a disaster. must be a no nonsense kinds guy withy some real pace as we have the strongest midfield in the country by far we will lose most of our goals on the counter attack sum1 with pace is a must.

9.) 01 Aug 2016 15:08:10
We play a certain way in which our centre halfs push out wide and what we missed last year was a natural sitting player. Which we now have.

I just think that the two centre halves are not comfortable together and Wilson needs an assured head beside him. Hill is not the answer, neither is Bougherra, i think he's there for coaching/ to finish his badges. A no nonsense defender with pace who can play from the back, we all want that, but where can we find one.

10.) 01 Aug 2016 16:43:43
there must be sum1 out there in the transfer market or sum1 with a year left on their contract that we could bid for I'm not a manager and will not for one second try to do warbs job as he is a smarter man that me but just sayin in general I think we need to work on our defence and Wilson and rob are not the answer .
that being said if Wilson found the form he had two seasons ago withy hearts I think we would have a really good defender on our hands.

as much as warbs brings the best out of people I think that the style of play makes it almost impossible to bring the best out on any defender.

11.) 01 Aug 2016 17:46:25
Why are we being linked with pish players passed their heydays!

Bougherra would be the only one worthwhile but he'd have to be a free transfer with wages of no more than 10k as isn't worth anymore.

12.) 01 Aug 2016 23:54:38
I personally think that joel ekstrand on a one year deal might be decent free agent n is decent player when fit! Also will keane from man united maybe an option, but i'm happy to go into the season with waggy, dodoo, miller, ohalleron as the strikers so long as we get a big stong no messing centre half who also has a good yard of pace.

Feel this is a decent move with rangers regarding last years strip. Most stuck with the boycott and haven't bought anything for the last few years so its technically like a new strip income wise. Plus its 1 of the smartest kits that's been around for a while amd only 20 quid. don't mind payin full price for 2nd and 3rd kits. Just glad we have a firm grip back on the merchandising front

If berbatov or rvp sign ill boil my own head and eat it. Love a wee rumour but with wages ect it's too far fetched. Seems all smoke and mirrors to keep every1 away from their target.

nellylad

1.) 27 Jul 2016 23:11:15
It is all getting a bit far fetched this transfer talk. But I'm loving it. RVP every day of the week for me.
Berbatov has to be in the mood if he's not very difficult to motivate almost looks like he can't be bothered.

2.) 28 Jul 2016 03:42:19
May I suggest you get help with the whole boiling/ eating malarkey, in the very unlikely event.

3.) 28 Jul 2016 11:07:02
I'll gladly ask for volunteers In this task haha. Its ok to dream but a more beleivable rumour would be gladly welcomed. Any1 we sign now will be an anticlimax.

Cracking morning for a game of football. How do we all think we will do against dundee? Its going to b a tough test IMO.

nellylad

1.) 05 Mar 2016 08:46:21
Obviously want a Rangers win, but I'll be happy to see both sides go out and have a real go at it.

2.) 05 Mar 2016 09:57:04
I do think we will get through this tie but odds of 4/ 9 to win over 90 minutes haven't tempted me to have a punt.

13 Feb 2016 16:12:53
See the narrowing of the pitch is helping alloa massively.

nellylad

11 Feb 2016 18:42:44
Whats the fellow bears thoughts in Alloa narrowing the pitch mid season to olay against us. 9m narrower.

nellylad

1.) 11 Feb 2016 18:58:35
If it's within the laws of the game - crack on. If we did it because we thought it might give us an advantage and it did, I'd be delighted.

They could maybe give us a few more thousand tickets to fill the space they've created.

2.) 11 Feb 2016 23:22:30
Ha ha! Like it! 😭.

3.) 11 Feb 2016 23:38:05
Don't see it as a big deal a wouldn't be too concerned by it. Myself! if they think that will help them get a result then they got to give it a go they need all the points they can get just now.

4.) 12 Feb 2016 05:28:52
The upside is each corner kick will be 15ft nearer the goal and we know we'll get about 15 corners. A good game to cut down the short corner routine and get our centre backs attacking good old fashioned inswingers.

5.) 12 Feb 2016 07:32:04
hope this not our manager looking for excuse already
although you imagine with the narrowing of the pitch the midfield will get bogged down
so a wee bet this weekend will be under three goals.

6.) 12 Feb 2016 08:17:24
It's typical 3rd world Scottish football, we are already the laughing stock of Europe with the cup draw debacle, it's not alloa issue its the Blazers who don't have a scobby do, the rules are so loose any half wit can exploit them, personally I think it's hilarious. Ohh I know, it's actually " sporting integrity" all together, the cry.

7.) 12 Feb 2016 08:30:11
Can't work out what Warburtons problem is . It's not his pitch it has f all to do with him .

8.) 11 Feb 2016 21:35:48
Remember sourness doing it against dinamo Kiev, if I remember right it helped us to beat them 2 0 mark falcoa scored one of the goals.

9.) 12 Feb 2016 07:19:28
There should be a regulation of 10 yards if this is to be done, oh and they have to keep these dimensions to the end of the season ( lol) .

10.) 12 Feb 2016 10:28:32
So many moaners and victim card players on here with short memories.
Anyone want to retract their comments following the post by square route?

11.) 12 Feb 2016 11:49:53
I think that them using pitch size change within the rules is well planned.
We did it to suit ourselves to great effect years ago.
I know Warbs is against having a plan B but tactics are crucial in the modern game.
We play wide, Alloa have had the knowledge to lessen the effect. Now we need to figure other things out.
With our wingers playing further infield and less room for full backs to overlap Maybe we move to a 4-4-2 diamond.
Foder
Tav-Kiernan-Wilson-Wallace
Ball
Halliday-Holt
McKay (no.10 role)
Miller-Waggy

A narrower midfield leaves still room for full backs to attack. Ball can shore up when they do.
McKay can try and pick way through the middle and 2 out and out strikers to hit hard through centre.
Also we need to load the box at corners. It is a shorter distance to hit so let's fizz them into the middle.
With McKay and others more central, the free kicks we get should be more dangerous also.

12.) 12 Feb 2016 18:01:46
Agree with bluegenius on McKay no.10 role thought he looked a better player in that role than out wide and linked better to notch a fine goal. Holt will get into box wherever he plays anyhow.

Apparantly he says he will go as low as 17000 a week. If we can't give him that were in dire straights. Apparantly dorrans is desperate to play for us too and will drop as low as possible to sign. Again. Just rumours

We still have clint hill too but hasn't had a run of games. Thought him and gilks bring a bit of composure at the back.

I think with a more solid central defence and midfield to cover when attacking tav will be ok. Just too weak defensively last season

I think with a backbone of quality signings the players who let us down this season will come good. Too many raw and inexperienced players in the 1 team
