FIVE Rangers Academy Players will depart the club this summer to play their football elsewhere.

Max Ashmore, Jordan Gibson, Amin Bouzaig, Sam Jamieson and Josh Jeffries, who all played their football either in the development squad or on loan, will now develop their careers elsewhere.

Good luck to the boys. I can't help feeling regret at the opportunity lost when we went down in not playing youth, I know these boys would have been too young but if the thought of an opertunity was their you would have maybe got an extra 10/ 20% out of them in their development therefore making them just that wee bit better now especially watching boys a few years older coming through the ranks the same as yourself. Good luck boys this ain't the end just the beginning of your careers and hard work does pay off and you may make it back

2.) 12 May 2017 14:13:59
Wee Josh is some player. Wish them all the best with their Careers.

3.) 12 May 2017 20:41:17
If wee josh is some player why is he being released?

4.) 13 May 2017 02:31:52
So Bears do we think that Atayaki will get on against Hearts tomorrow? And do we think he SHOULD! I do.
This lad has done really well in the Unders and could do a job fir us on the Wing.
Only way I can see him getting on is if we are 2-3 up with 20-25min to go but fingers crossed.
We have the bases of a good young team coming through but they need a chance and they could save us a hell of a lot of cash!
Beerman Bates Barjonas Burt Rudden Dallas Atayaki. All could break through

St Johnstone manager Tommy Wright has urged his chairman to try and resign Michael O'Halloran.

2 ginger bottles will be plenty

2.) 09 May 2017 19:52:29
No loss -never a footballer. Sums Warburton up paying £500k and he never played. Free up a wage for next season.

3.) 09 May 2017 21:19:44
Agreed I knew when we signed him he would have been a waste of miney

4.) 09 May 2017 22:48:53
All speed no ability

5.) 09 May 2017 23:15:31
I really wanted him to do well for us but it just didn't work out and to pay £500,000 for him was daylight robbery

6.) 10 May 2017 06:07:57
Would prefer to see him out of the league. Players like that have a nasty habit of coming back and biting you on the behind. Remember why we bought him in the first place. He tore us a new one!

7.) 10 May 2017 12:28:56
i don't think he's had a shot on target for us, he's so terrible.

8.) 10 May 2017 16:58:28
Shows you how bad our defence was then when MOH tore us apart.

07 May 2017 10:00:17
Vladimir Weiss will not be joining the club in the summer transfer window

The Portuguese coach has claimed that to sign Weiss, we would have to pay Al-Gharafa a transfer fee of £2.7 million.

pappabendy

1.) 07 May 2017 11:18:27
And this came from where? I don't think personally we could pay his expected wages anyway
I read scouts are watching u-17 championship, anybody been watching.

2.) 07 May 2017 14:39:12
@Lego Caixinha himself.

3.) 07 May 2017 15:41:12
£2.7m is not a lot. If King had any ambition for the club then he would happily pay that for Weiss out of his own picket. After all, this is the guy that promised so much to improve the team and so far has delivered so little

4.) 07 May 2017 17:42:54
King has to put his money where his mouth is now or rethink his position.

5.) 07 May 2017 19:35:30
Why would King invest large sums of money when he only owns around 15% of the shares? The shareholders did not support him at the last AGM. He is right not to spend his money so the other 85% can benefit from an increase in the share price.

6.) 07 May 2017 20:51:56
Perhaps a resolution at the next AGM that while club needs funds, all shareholders should pay 5p per share held (approx 90,000,000 shares would raise £4.5m) as no doubt shareholders expect a dividend when times are good.

7.) 07 May 2017 22:49:51
If 2.7mill is his asking price I'm sure you could get him for 2million if he really wants to go and puts up abit of a fuss and tbh prices these days a player of his standard for 2mill is not that much.

8.) 08 May 2017 17:28:00
I'd love to have Vlad back but not at that price!

9.) 11 May 2017 16:27:16
I don't personally think that Weiss was all that, I love the fact that he loves The Gers, but I feel we as fans slightly over rate the guy

02 May 2017 16:21:43
Mark Warburton might add to the staff at Forest by making a move for Rangers Academy head, Craig Mulholland.

pappabendy

1.) 02 May 2017 17:38:10
Take whoever he wants but follow him there be prepared to follow him to the dole

2.) 02 May 2017 20:11:32
Gary don't put them off😂

3.) 03 May 2017 20:44:17
hope he takes kiernan, moh, halliday with him.

28 Jun 2016 15:31:12
MK Dons defender Lee Hodson could join Rangers after the Northern Irish defender returns from international duty.

pappabendy

1.) 28 Jun 2016 17:22:35
breaking rumour.

2.) 28 Jun 2016 20:44:06
Not a good move - we should be giving a chance for one of our youngsters to act as backup in full back position not signing someone like this. Like many fans I hoped we would bring in someone better than tav not worse. Very like the goalkeeper - going for a backup to fod rather than a replacement.

3.) 28 Jun 2016 21:35:43
Do we really need Hodson? Would've thought Kiernan could fill in at RB and what about Airs been reading that he's been doing really well in MLS but dunno if Warbs rates him or the lads heart ain't at Ibrox. Don't think we need to spend on a position that we can cover from inside! I get everyone's feelings about Tav but we have yet to see how the wee man's game has developed. As for the American CB we have training with us the now he must have something about him! Been connected to some pretty decent clubs and we all know that Warbs has a knack of getting the best out of players and the guy is a monster! Dunno anything about him but looks solid.

Nearly choked on my corn flakes this morning and almost pissed my self with laughter as I read that rangers legend set for 6/ 5 on coming back to the club. Then I thought who?

Kyle lafferty. when did he become a legend? More like leg-end.

pappabendy

1.) 18 May 2017 10:41:45
No disrespect papa but if kyle comes back will he still b a leg end scoring last min goal against celtic or winner for cup or winner put gers in europa league group stage? I think not

2.) 18 May 2017 11:23:41
sorry but these papers don't get to decide who's is a legend and who isn't that's us fans that do that and lafferty was and disgrace to the club plus he has went down hill not got better from what I've seen and don't call into the euros because he done okay but not good enough club level

14 May 2017 08:12:20
RANGERS tonight announced that they have withdrawn from the Development League for season 2017/ 18.Instead the Ibrox club will organise a series of friendly matches against English and European opposition in an attempt to fast track younger players into the Rangers first team.

Head of Academy, Craig Mulholland, has been given the green light by the SPFL and also has received the permission of the SFA with the new Performance Director, Malky MacKay signaling his approval.

Rangers will not withdraw from the domestic game entirely as they will be participating at under-20s level in the Scottish FA Youth Cup and SPFL Challenge Cup.

However Rangers hope to attract glamour matches against the like of Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea, Liverpool, Tottenham and Southampton and hope that these sides will be able to provide a decent challenge for the young Ibrox stars of the very near future.

1.) 14 May 2017 12:56:24
is this really a good move when we supposedly are skint?

these will cost us money and not bring in any?

from footy perspective could be nice though

2.) 14 May 2017 13:59:11
This is a bold and brave move which will certainly reap dividends in the next 5-10 years, either in getting players through or placing them in the shop window. It will ensure they have an early knowledge of different tactics, formations, approaches and philosophies that apply in other European countries, making them more valuable to a wider market. I hope they tag education on to this, teach them language skills and media skills to help their full development. Well done to the development team!

07 May 2017 19:25:46
I for one am glad that the bread man managed to keep forest in the championship. Just means that when he comes to buy our players it will be more appealing to the player to join a championship team rather than a league one outfit.

pappabendy

1.) 07 May 2017 19:31:18
We can only hope that he wants to bring most of those that he brought to us move on to Forrest and that he is willing to pay a transfer fee for them!

Pedro needs serious money for new players and without that investment he will just be another failure, and so it will continue.

2.) 07 May 2017 19:40:14
He won't come in for our players. He has his daughter's clients on cushy deals already.

3.) 07 May 2017 19:45:30
If he takes any of the clowns he signed for us he will definitely be relegated next season.

4.) 07 May 2017 20:02:06
Would've been better if they'd gone down! They are League One level players that will not be bought by a Championship club!

5.) 07 May 2017 21:12:51
Hope he takes tavernier

6.) 07 May 2017 23:00:59
The problem is warbs knows how skint we are so he won't bid much money for any player he wants.

05 Jul 2016 11:30:43
I still maintain that ohalleron was a waste of half a million during the Christmas transfer window. That money would have been better put towards Bradshaw or someone else this season.

pappabendy

1.) 05 Jul 2016 11:59:09
You may be right but we should give him a chance, a full season and good luck to him.

2.) 05 Jul 2016 12:12:08
Said that at the time. Only bought to please fans claiming we couldn't afford to buy him. Pointless considering he made no real appearances that mattered (league was well tied up, couldn't play in cups) said on an interview on Rangers TV that he thought MW would wait till the summer to get him.

3.) 05 Jul 2016 12:13:10
Give Michael o'halloran a chance for gods sake, he needs time to adapt to warburton's style of play, I truly reckon we'll see a big difference in o'halloran this season, some folk not blessed with patience! Get behind the guy instead of continually berating him.

4.) 05 Jul 2016 13:32:23
Its no about giving him a chance, its about whether it was worth the money or not. Which it wasn't. We could have went for him now for much less are you arguing that Warburtonthefifteenth? Look at every other signing we have made such an inflated price for a pointless 6 months could have joined us now but you know we have no money and all that shit.

5.) 05 Jul 2016 15:34:40
RossW I am arguing that because I think michael o'halloran is a very talented player and imo will go on to prove to you and a good few others that he was worth the 500k we paid for him, so there you have it on the line, my commitment my friend irrespective to what others think I've painted my colours to the mast!

6.) 05 Jul 2016 21:39:39
If I remember rightly mark hately took more than a season to get going, give the lad a break.

7.) 06 Jul 2016 19:45:43
I think MOH will be a good player for Rangers, let him play up front for a while, he got pace and skill.

05 May 2016 08:57:52
Dylan Dykes, Luca Gasparotto, David Brownlie, Darren Ramsay, Mekhi McLeod, Jamie Brandon, Tom Lang and Jamie Mills who all played in the clubs development squad this year or on loan will now develop their footballing careers at another club.

I highly doubt that we will shell out the pennies for Rashid Sumaila plus it would be hard for him to get a work permit.

Nick Clark was banging in the goals for Q. O. S and we thought he would be a good signing and did nothing. 67 games 23 goals through all competitions. Moult in my eyes is a no-no, but if we sign him I hope I eat my words
