I can tell you why I disagree, it’s not an anti Scottish thing its size and scale. Look at the English premiership teams and stadiums compared to the Scottish league with 10 teams in it, half of which are utter dross! Where’s the incentive for anyone to invest into that league and get a decent return? It’s not the UK favouring the English, it’s SKY and sponsors looking to see where they can get the most bang for their buck.

It's not just size and scale. That's only a part of it.
I know they are bigger but The Netherlands and Belgium are maybe 12-15m in population and look at their teams and investment. Double the population but far more than double the investment. The problem is those in charge. Scotlands league structure is messy. Most of the teams in second, third and fourth tiers wouldn't be considered Pro in other countries. The whole Scottish game needs radically overhauling which will in time make it more appealing for investors. Those currently in charge though don't have the ability to execute something like this. They need to go first. The league needs simplifying and reducing, youth development has to be integral to the new set up too.

I would absolutely agree that it Sky Sports and the current TV deal which is killing our game. Scottish football operates in poverty, while English clubs spend tens of millions on youth prospects for their youth teams.
Scottish people pay for Sky Sports. We’re probably 10% of their entire subscription base at least and we don’t get 10% of the overall pot, mate. The women’s team innEngland earns almost as much as the SPFL.
Until Scottish Football breaks away from Sky Sports we will not improve as a footballing nation. We need to start our own streaming service and sell our own product. However, that can’t happen now because we’re contracted in until 2029. The only team that fought against the TV deal was Rangers.

I think jones is a decent player, if it wasn’t for barker starting to perform I’d have liked him to stay as back up to Kent, he was performing well up until the red card and injury v celtic, whatever’s happened since then is anyone’s guess but he’s not had another chance for some reason. Should loan him out TIL jan and try get A quarter to a half a mill instead of just releasing him.
