Just seen Diagouraga scored for leeds hmmm.
Just want to saya YASSSSS before Billy King had even kicked a ball there was a lot of chat about the boy not being upto our standards etc etc. what about now the boy just saved our arses.

Tattybasher, I never read many posts questioning the boys ability. Only the manner of his arrival and long term benefit to the club are in question.

In the 30 minutes king was on the pitch I thought he was rotten (minus the goal) didn't beat a player, a couple of loose passes, not on the same fast paced wavelength and 3 attempts at crossing the ball and not one lof ted off the ground. Having said that, it was his first appearance and he bagged the winner. For me the jury is still out.

There was a guy called Forrester on the pitch. Only knew that as the announcer said so when he came on. King scored on his first appearance. Give him time. By no means the worst!

Surprised at both posts above. Forrester has only appeared 3 times but today was more direct down the left (IMO from sitting on the halfway line in the Sandy Jardine Front) . Easily his best performance so far and linked well with Lee Wallace. King on the right was fast and a better
outlet for Tav. Given how exciting McKay was through the middle, I was delighted with King and Forrester. More game time will make them better. Just my opinion, but on an off day, was happy with the new boys.

Just a thought, why are we paying guys like frank mcpartland a wage to go out and travel all over the country looking at players if this board are not willing to cough up when players of interest have been identified? The mind boggles! i think the 5 million we payed to that fat slider ashley has emptied our bear bank! Why aren't we taking the £500k from Rangers 1st?

How do you know the board aren't giving enough cash for transfers? That is pure speculation. for all you know we don't rate the players at the same price as the other team do, and let's be honest a player is only worth what a team will pay.

We lost diagouraga scott allan and now looks like we will miss out on O halloran, all because we low ball teams with offers! We are not the big budget team from the spl that had the power to bully the wee teams into selling to us! The board it seems don't have cash.

Are you aware that even at Brentford, Warburton never done a “big deal? †I may be wrong but I’m sure the most he spent at Brentford on 1 player was 1.1mil, which let’s be honest in the English Championship isn’t much. The man and his background staff don’t do big spends, they find cheap deals and hidden gems.

we are not expecting to spend big just bring in players
that will allow not only to compete but expect to win trophies next season and not just the petrofac cup
we only neeed suspension and injuries and we could struggle.

For all any of us know the O'halloran deal is already out the window the same as the boy that went to Leeds, simply because the club felt there is a better option that represents better value. MW said we are trying to sign 2 players, he hasn't mentioned anyone by name yet.
