Dorrans only played 20-25 games last season in the championship, he's 30, he'll probably be one of our higher earners, he'll have no sell on value. If he comes, fine I hope he does well. But if he doesn't it really wouldn't be that much of a disaster. Plenty of central midfielders at the club.

It's not obsession, it is basic business sense. It will end the same way as last time, otherwise. Are people that blind that they think we can just carry on as before?

Can I ask why some seem to be wetting they're knickers at the thought of dorrans signing? Is he really anything other than a decent midfielder? Would spending £1m-£1.3m not be better spent on Kenny McLean?

He was one of norwich's key men until injury keeping him out of 7/ 8 games which there win % dropped significantly.

Bates and beerman are both young lads, surely playing/ training with pros like alves will help improve them. Young players have good AND bad games. Think some are too quick to criticize.

Dorrans has played in the English Premier league but he's not the player he was 2-3 years ago. If you looked at him the last couple of seasons he seems in decline as a player. McLean still seems to improving as a player in my opinion. Still has something to prove. Why shouldn't we try to sign one of the better players playing in Scotland? I know he's not a defensive midfielder but McLean is a better footballer than jack. Who every one seemed delighted we signed
