Kinda raging we didn't do more to get Moult if the reports are true the fee from PNE was only £450,000 as think an on form Moult and Morelos with Windass central just in behind them would have scored a barrow load.

Apparently he was wanting to move back south to be closer to his young family, it's a shame cause he would of been a great addition to the team.

2.) 15 Dec 2017 14:00:47
I heard from a guy that we tried to sign him in the summer but were 75k off Motherwell valuation.

3.) 15 Dec 2017 14:09:13
massive wage hike may of swayed him.

4.) 16 Dec 2017 13:07:49
It's family reasons confirmed by the man himself on social media

Anyone have any idea what really is going on with the Dorrans saga as i read last week that Pedro had rang him and gave him his personal assurance he would be signed?

tommyj79

1.) 24 Jun 2017 09:52:20
It was a personal assurance that he would do everything he can to sign Dorrans. Not that he WOULD sign him.

2.) 24 Jun 2017 10:04:46
Sick of hearing about dorrans. no worth the money Norwich want let's move on.

3.) 24 Jun 2017 10:23:16
I think he would b a great signing but can't see it happening now

4.) 24 Jun 2017 12:41:53
know a guy whos job brings him in to contact with agents at the club. hope was being lost with dorrans as of middle of this week so don't see it happening. on a plus side, morelos looks a beast in training!

5.) 24 Jun 2017 13:02:07
We seem kind of split on if Dorrans would be a good signing.
Some would rather Kenny McLean
Personally I would push a bit harder to get Dorrans and wait another season to get McLean for nothing (I would do the same with Walker)
I think we are going to be left with a fair amount of existing player on contracts that we can't sell so for the next season they will give our squad depth
I think we bring in quality in Dorrans and when some of the dross contracts run out we bring in Walker and McLean for nothing and raise the quality of the squad again.
I think Scottish clubs are going to be sh*te to deal with so let's just take the players that are good enough and want to come when their contracts run down (something that clown Scott Allen should have done)

On another note I said a few months ago that that the next six months would be big for Dave King (as in he had to put words into action) - Well Dave you didn't let us down well done
Feeling excited about the new season

Just posting this to get people's opinions does anyone think we would still be challenging for the title or at least sitting comfy in 2nd if we'd still had Boyd on our books as he seems to have found his scoring boots again this season and he always seemed to be able to stick the ball in the net wagainst SPL teams when we needed a goal and these goals would probably have got us most of the points we've dropped this season .

1.) 06 Apr 2018 16:01:39
I actually think Lafferty would have been the one better suited to our style of play this year. I have said it to fellow bears for last 6months or so that Lafferty would be on 20-30 goals by now if we had him in the team rather than Morelos.

2.) 06 Apr 2018 16:15:27
Boyd was woeful in his second spell with us. Why can't some fans actually look forward rather than harking back to supposedly better times? These guys had their chances, time to unearth new talent.

3.) 06 Apr 2018 16:30:18
scoring goals hasn't been the problem pretty sure we are the countries leading scorers all be it by one goal it has been our defense that has been the issue

4.) 06 Apr 2018 17:15:32
Cuillin72, You can hardly blame Boyd for not playing well in that Gers team the second time around! I agree he missed a right few chances but McCoist had created one of the worst sides ever seen that year! 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

5.) 06 Apr 2018 18:18:51
Yately, McCoist had no budget to speak of, he had a youth selection of very limited talent and he was playing week in, week out against opponents playing as if their lives depended upon it and referees who let shocking tackles go. Let's keep things in perspective and understand he had his back to the wall in almost every way you can define it.

6.) 06 Apr 2018 18:42:27
Got to agree with bazzabear, big lafferty would have done us a turn. better option as a freebie than paying for herrera

7.) 06 Apr 2018 20:52:22
Guys our defence is the problem. Hearts, Aberdeen, Hibs, Celtic and Kilmarnock all have better defensive record.

8.) 06 Apr 2018 22:43:00
Kfraser

Are you on the wind up? Didn’t have a budget to speak of? Do you ever visit the planet earth? Even in Div 3 he had the 2nd biggest budget in Scotland. To try and defend his managerial time with the club and make excuses for him is embarrassing. You so removed from reality it’s frightening

9.) 06 Apr 2018 23:52:20
Its totally irrelevant. Would Boyd score would someone else score? Grow up. It is what it is. Rangers will struggle to finish second. So Boyd would have won the league? Don't think so

RIP Davie Cooper 23 years ago today since we lost the guy with god's left peg.

1.) 23 Mar 2018 14:44:04
just came here to post the same thing! been watching youtube clips and as good as any player youll ever get with the ball at his feet. never got to see him play in the flesh but met him as a nipper with my dad and can honestly say its one of my proudest memories.

RIP forever in our hearts 💙

2.) 23 Mar 2018 15:13:46
Echo everything you guys have said about "THE GREAT ONE"! that's obviously where i took my name that i use on here to post! An absolute hero of mine was DC, Who had a god given gift, and a left foot like a wand! The immortal DAVIE SUPER COOPER! I and we will never forget you, taken from us far too early! In this day and age davie cooper would be well over 100million quid in the current transfer market! Coop was world class and we'll NEVER see his likes again! He could peel an orange with that left peg of his! Tears in my eyes writing this so heartfelt tribute to the "ONE AND ONLY DAVIE SUPER COOPER"! A very special person and a very special footballer! Will never be forgotten! God bless davie cooper, rest in peace!

3.) 23 Mar 2018 20:47:58
We had a beer with Davie after the SCF when we beat CFC in the Avonbridge hotel in Hamilton what a legend
DC and Jimmy Nic
It was the game big Roy shoved McCoist to the deck
In the box and Rangers got a penalty

RIP Davie

4.) 23 Mar 2018 21:31:32
That might have been the League Cup Final of 1986 and I think Airmen fouled Butcher in the box before Davie easily converted the penalty with about 5 minutes to go. I was in the main stand surrounded by tic supporters. I couldn't contain myself and celebrated like mad! Just escaped without getting a doing! Happy days!

5.) 24 Mar 2018 07:38:00
Great memory indeed, that was the league cup and why the code?

06 Mar 2018 17:35:25
Went to the bookies earlier and stuck a tenner on us to do the double cracking odds of it comes up I'll be £1,630 to the good long shot and very optimistic but it is gambling after all I suppose. Just feel like we could do this this season the way we're playing and I've not felt like this for many a year.

I did the same at christmas🤣

2.) 07 Mar 2018 14:42:05
Tommy 79,Forest supporter here. who did you bet with mate?

3.) 07 Mar 2018 15:53:48
McLean's bookmakers in Belfast mate but think they have an mobile app as well. Pal.

4.) 07 Mar 2018 16:44:34
Great stuff! We want Cummings back lol! N

03 Feb 2018 17:13:21
Missed opportunity to tighten that gap to them.

tommyj79

1.) 03 Feb 2018 22:25:57
How can anyone disagree I was starting fact lol as if we'd won the gap would be down to 11pts a d us with a game in hand

28 Jan 2018 16:35:11
Morelos seemed to be a bit greedy today but I've noticed that with some Latin America players that come to Europe mabey he's starting to feel a bit of heat with some competition for his starting berth in the team especially with Cummings well taken goal today. Think this is exactly what we needed quality competition for a place in the team to make everyone work harder and give that extra 20%.

tommyj79

1.) 28 Jan 2018 16:48:15
He offered nothing today. Awful performance looked total disinterested. In the 15 minutes Cummings was on he done more than Morelos did in 75. Cummings need to play from the start on Wednesday

2.) 28 Jan 2018 17:00:26
Morelos was awful today. Offered nothing and seemed very disinterested. Cummings offered more in 15 minutes than the 75 Morelos was on. Cummings has got to start on Wednesday if Murty is going for the one up front although would like to see 4-4-2

3.) 28 Jan 2018 17:04:54
Most goalscorers are greedy. Just like Cummings today, could have passed but took the gamble and it paid off.

The Hibs game at Easter Road, Morelos making it 2-1. It’s a right angle and other players would have probably tried to pass it into the mixer where it’s packed with oppositions players, but Morelos shot and it paid off. Top goal scorer in the league, so at the moment it’s paying off be greedy.

Though Morelos and Windass were a bit off the pace today but Celtic were honking vs Patrick Thistle and were applauded for ‘battling’ to win the game etc. I’m happy with the win, wasn’t out best performance in the second half, we began to flap in the last 5 mins, did the same against the sheep on Wed.

Onwards and upwards.

4.) 28 Jan 2018 17:20:03
morelos is top goalscorer so for me deserves to be in the first team just now we all want to see cummings in the team to but to chuck morelos out wouldn't be fair on the lad yeh he never had has best game today just like some other players but we got the result and that's what counts

5.) 28 Jan 2018 17:41:57
Aye but for me Morelos is just too greedy he wouldn't last In a decent ELL side.

6.) 28 Jan 2018 17:58:01
Totally agree with craig8688 and bearmode.

7.) 28 Jan 2018 18:29:16
Who cares if he could last in England? I want my striker to be greedy. Surely that's what every decent striker should / would be?

I don't think Murty wants to be involved with the first team as i think he sees himself a nurturer of young talent and mabey with his increased rep at the club now he can push the issue to get any young guys that look like they have what it takes to be included in the 1st yeam squad.
