With Fredo now out I know he hasn't set the heather on fire but this could be the break Lafferty has been waiting for this is the chance for SG to try and play 2 up front McCoist / Hately style one of them small to get the ball on the deck and the taller target man to deal with balls on the air. but he will have to go out heart and soul and take this chance that's been presented to him but then of course the gaffer has changed the shape of the team before and it hasn't worked so height be reluctant to try it in the cup game in case it doesn't work and we go out the cup.

1.) 09 Feb 2019 11:42:16
When he was with us previously Lafferty would hardly kick a ball until from this point of the season onwards. Let's hope thia continues. With an able deputy keeper ans another class striker i think we will be fine.

2.) 09 Feb 2019 21:11:28
Totally agree to playing 2 up top and would like to see us go 352.Think it would help us create more chances especially now we have Defoe to help Alfredo up top. Would be a bit worried going 442 as it would could leave us a bit light in middle of the park. Saying that apart from Celtic we really should be outplaying every other side in the league with the players we have.

3.) 10 Feb 2019 18:28:52
Lafferty is dead weight an anchor at best I said so before we aquired no change.

4.) 12 Feb 2019 00:08:44
We don't need 3 centre halfs against most teams. It would effectively leave us a man short in the middle or up front. Roughly speaking our attacking formation is 2 1 7, in defence 4 1 4 1. We would also have to drop one of the more skilful players to accommodate an extra CH. Considering breaking diddy teams down is an onerous task the more skilled footballers on the pitch the better.

5.) 12 Feb 2019 10:00:22
Currently we have only 2 centre halfs. Worrall doesn't dir that description.

24 Jan 2019 16:11:00
Watching the game last night I noticed that most of our players didn't seem to look right when running. something to do with the artificial pitch? not saying that's why we got beat. we got beat by the better team for the first 20 minutes. we should have had the game more or less sewn up. I think at one point we'd had about 75% possession we should be able to win on these surfaces after all we have one installed at the training complex.

1.) 24 Jan 2019 16:55:54
most of our players looked like they couldn't play football either. except Kent and tav looked like no desire.

2.) 24 Jan 2019 17:01:14
How come then we beat them 3-1 on that pitch earlier in the season?

3.) 24 Jan 2019 19:43:22
Been watching the highlights of Necaxas matches big Herrera looks like he’s playing well for them he’s obviously a player suited too Mexican football and not Scottish

good luck too the big guy he never once let himself down as a professional unlike Pena.

4.) 24 Jan 2019 21:55:20
They train on astro as well as grass so should be able to play on it.

5.) 24 Jan 2019 22:43:13
Herrera according to Murty trained like a beast. Thougjt maybe SG could have worked with a player with that attitude. Pena just a waster.

09 Jan 2019 18:03:23
Now here's a question; there are rumours that a big offer might be coming in for Tav if he goes, who would we prefer as Captain with Davis being an ex Captain of our club, would we rather have Jack, Davis, Goldson, McGregor or someone else?

1.) 09 Jan 2019 18:33:40
I would have Scott Arfield.

2.) 09 Jan 2019 18:39:50
Davis all day. He’s been there and done it before.

3.) 09 Jan 2019 18:44:25
I would give it to ryan jack i think he has all the attributes to be a cpt and he was also aberdeen cpt for a couple years.

4.) 09 Jan 2019 18:45:10
Davis for me.

5.) 09 Jan 2019 18:54:44
We won't be selling any players unless a offer we can't refuse gets offered. And i really doubt tav wants a move away just now any way. So he will be the captain to lift the trophy at the end of the season!

6.) 09 Jan 2019 19:00:07
Craig bryson being liked in the paper rumour page, mccallister ment to be pulling some strings as he admires him, 5month left in his cotract, could be a pre, on the table.

7.) 09 Jan 2019 19:53:41
you can't have an on loan player as captain no matter his connection with the club.

8.) 09 Jan 2019 22:18:38
He bleeds blue and isn’t shy to read players the riot act!

9.) 10 Jan 2019 00:13:45
Arfield for me.

10.) 10 Jan 2019 00:24:59
Ryan Jack as new Captain or Shagger.

11.) 10 Jan 2019 13:04:30
Ryan Jack for me.

09 Jan 2019 16:36:38
Did we release or sell O'Halleron? Is he still contracted to us? just seen somewhere that he's coming back from Australia but tbh I don't want him coming back to take a wage from us but if he is still technically our player and is coming back then hopefully someone will take him off our hands.

1.) 09 Jan 2019 17:06:44
He’s not coming back we let him go.

2.) 09 Jan 2019 17:15:27
He's not under contract at rangers.

3.) 09 Jan 2019 18:18:49
We freed ohalloran.

15 Dec 2018 23:44:27
Well it looks plain and simple SG can't TRUST the loans he himself brought in Wjaira was too lightweight and actually looked frightened at times Sadiq is also gone but then he was a never was never is and never will be and get rid of coulibaly bring back Docherty and Hardie and Holt at least they will play for their place in the team and the Jersey send Worrall to pasture and bring young Aidan Wilson up into the squad along with Dapo and Dallas into the 1st team picture sell Tav move Falnnagan to his natural position bring Wallace back in to the squad sign Davis and Stuart Dallas and then see what we can do in the summer.

1.) 16 Dec 2018 01:03:08
Ejaria was crap and Sadiq never played but two signings out of 15 that were rotten isn’t a bad return for 5 mill or so we spent. Agree with Docherty but holt isn’t good enough then and he isn’t good enough now. Coulabaly and Kent have been good in my opinion, Warrel had a few decent games.

2.) 16 Dec 2018 09:40:53
You seem to have it all worked out. So we bring up 5 under 20 year olds into a title challenge? No thanks maybe 1 or 2. And as for Flanagan just get rid he's absolutely useless.

3.) 16 Dec 2018 10:08:57
ryan hardie will never be rangers class he’s in the same mould as kane hemmings if he’s at a club where there's no pressure to win every game he’ll get you goals we need a striker who is going to push morelos for a starting spot not squad players and if anyone thinks jason holt will come back and do a job for us they need their heads looked at.

4.) 16 Dec 2018 10:34:59
Aye, let's bring back some Has beens and accelarate some youths that aren't ready yet to push for the league.

The team aren't there yet, but at least now only requires tweaking as opposed to wholesale changes.

It's all about 2 or 3 players a level up this window, same again summer. We all know where we need improving, middle to front.

5.) 16 Dec 2018 11:18:03
Answer me something Mols. Just how are younger players going to make the grade if they aren't given a chance? I'm not suggesting these youngsters are thrown in and played in every game but surely introduce them in the odd game and as subs?

6.) 16 Dec 2018 12:26:32
Doiger, the manager says the boys are not ready. I read on here how we should play guys like Aidan Wilson, the lad struggled to get a game at Forfar.
We need to be patient, although I feel a boy should be on bench today as Morelos suspended.
I'd like guys like Dallas, Kelly and mayo out in loan in January help build them up against men.
Unfortunately some of our players are too wee look at atakyia, Kelly, mebude hopefully they will stretch
Kelly is one of the best footballers I've seen at rangers in twenty years and he can score.

7.) 16 Dec 2018 14:22:04
Don't forget, the loan players all played there part in us going as far as we did in Europe, apart from sadiq. I thank all of them for there time at the club. It has been a great season so far and and without them there would not have been some great nights at ibrox. Now we need a few quality players and we might have a real league challenge.

8.) 16 Dec 2018 14:52:49
If Hardie couldn’t make it through the dross that we’ve had the last few years then he’ll never make it. Holt is too lightweight and doesn’t have the quality we need right now. Docherty would be the only one I would bring back.

9.) 16 Dec 2018 20:55:39
Guys let's get 55 and stop them way there 10 in a row nonsense then bring through the youth as that will give them more time time in and around the 1st team, no1 priority is league title.

10.) 16 Dec 2018 21:35:55
Sadiq was the only flop out of the 15 signings I’d say. Kent has been very good think Coulibaly and worral have been bad at times but good in others wouldn’t say they are terrible at all and even Ejaria had quite a few decent games only really looked poor the last couple months now we know partly why that was. Tbh I think Lafferty has be a lot worse then a few of the loan players who seem to be getting loads of stick.

11.) 16 Dec 2018 21:51:00
when was the last time we actually were comfortable in a game by half time off the top of my head i'd say hearts at home were never in a position in a game to give the youngsters a run out were not the most patient fans in the world.

12.) 16 Dec 2018 23:36:31
Tommyj79000.u sir are as mad as a mad man on national mad man day. what a lot of pants u talk. Do u know anything about football other than on your computer? Have you ever thought about applying for the Rangers job? . I'm right behind you.

13.) 17 Dec 2018 08:04:21
Lol, anyone who suggests wallace can never be taken seriously ever again. guys surely one from the other side with a statement like that. Really is amazing how in depth they know our squad tho.

14.) 17 Dec 2018 09:32:35
DOIGER that’s 5 managers now that hasn’t thought hardie was good enough or ready mate. I’d love to be proved wrong regarding the boy but that says it all as far as I’m concerned. Yeah some of these managers haven’t been the best but they can’t all be wrong. I feel the championship is his level.

15.) 17 Dec 2018 11:03:10
Timmy790000 Our signings have been brilliant just need to add quality little bu little now.

16.) 17 Dec 2018 15:30:50
Some people are just never happy. Why would some untried youth players be anywhere near a squad challenging for the title?

17.) 17 Dec 2018 16:48:47

Recall Docherty from his loan spell is an option but Holt and Hardie are not the answer if we want to progress.
Gradually integrate Dallas, Mebude, and Kelly into the first team squad.
We need to sign an experienced attacking midfielder and striker in the January transfer window.

18.) 17 Dec 2018 17:24:02
Doig, you need to trust the manager and his coaching staff- that's why we employ them.

I like nothing more than seeing a youth player come through, but by all accounts our academy is in good shape- this doesn't happen overnight.

Have to say our young lads have done shown themselves up well when called into action so far can only be a good thing.

30 Jun 2019 21:42:12
Just like to say everyone and their dog has been staying what they think will be the line up for us next season and very few have even given Greg Docherty a chance of any game time whereas I have thought Greg Docherty has done good since he came to the club and also for him being a fan you always get that extra percentage from fans who are lucky enough to play for the club I didn't think he should have went out on loan last season but think on the other hand it's done him the world of good getting out experience in a different league and style of play and hopefully he's came back stronger mentally fr it's as I think he was playing well since he signed but then his confidence was wiped out by what happened in the celtic games and in some quarters he was made a scapegoat but he'll have better players playing beside him this time and really think he can motor on. I wasn't standing talking to a few guys while I was out yesterday and we were all in agreement that is Celtic don't do much in the transfer window and keep more or less the same squad then the titled there for the taking this season and I can't wait for the season to begin and we all also thought that we won't be struggling against teams like Killie and the sheep either.

1.) 30 Jun 2019 22:03:44
thanks for posting greg .

2.) 01 Jul 2019 06:44:19
Haha, think Doc will force his way into the team at some point, his energy and ability to shoot from distance will be needed at some point especially if McCrorie goes out on loan, well need 6 midfielders minimum.

3.) 01 Jul 2019 10:10:24
Wee bear given number of games we will have I'd go with. Davis, kamara, Arfield, aribo, jack, Docherty and mccrorie
Also covers injury and suspension.
Sell Dorrans, rossiter holt loan Kelly .
Also feel Davis could be great mentor for young guys, remember he only has twelve month deal.

4.) 01 Jul 2019 12:58:15
Yes i would possibly now include docherty in the 6 were going to need. that's about it tho. he's nowhere near level to merit getting in ahead of the other 5. Hopefully him being a bit part player does not stunt his progress.

14 Jun 2019 13:54:35
I know everyone is entitled to their opinion but it would be nice to give any players we sign a fair chance people on here have Greg Stewart beaten before he's even kicked a ball just hope anyone who says he's not good enough are big enough to come on and hold their hands up and say they were wrong if he starts banging goals in because after all he's been able to score at Killie, sheep and Dundee so the law of averages says he should be able to score a good few goals with us as we have a better team and will provide more chances not actually saying he will but give the guy a chance and you never know mabey he'll score the goals that take us I to the Europa groups stages and mabey even the goal that gets us a winn in the first old firm.

1.) 14 Jun 2019 14:26:32
100% agree he's heading to be the new Windass before he's kicked a ball! bottom line he's now a rangers player and deserves our support I totally get its all about opinions on here but let's give the boy a chance.

2.) 14 Jun 2019 15:08:40
Sensible post mate, I dont have any issue with Rangers singing Stewart (or guys of his ilk)
Free transfer, relatively low wages, SPL experienced, scored goals wherever he has played.
A good solid squad player who will hopefully do well for us.

3.) 14 Jun 2019 17:37:04
Don't know about scoring goals wherever he has played, mate, about 60 goals in 270 games, half of them for Cowdenbeath, but I agree he's the sort of solid enough squad player I'd be expecting. One thing is certain, he'll work incredibly hard for us. I read on here about folk expecting the icing on the cake, but you need to make the cake first. The icing will come, I'm certain of that.

4.) 14 Jun 2019 17:56:25
even if were only aiming for second (which is completely unacceptable) we need considerably better than we have brought in. Im not panicking as its on the start of June but honestly guys, the players weve signed are average at best, to be honest, probably below average.

5.) 14 Jun 2019 18:10:15
Who are all these below average players we've just signed, SRK?

6.) 14 Jun 2019 18:55:37
Jones, Stewart and Hastie although at 20 year old he might become good in the future, not going to drive us forward this season.

7.) 14 Jun 2019 19:36:08
Katic. jones will be class for us.

8.) 14 Jun 2019 20:14:26
SRK, Jones is a good player. Hastie has bags of potential. Stewart will be a decent squad player. Below average are players like Shankland, Moult, Walker and a pile of others we've been linked with on here over the past year.

9.) 14 Jun 2019 21:26:42
Well I hope Im proven wrong guys I really do, losing Kent for Jones weakens is IMO. Hastie is young so he might come good in the future. Ive watched Stewart a few times and never thought thats a player I want to see in a Rangers top I hope these are simply squad players and we sign 3/ 4 quality players. Truth be told I suspect well get 2/ 3 loan players and 1 permanent signing.

10.) 15 Jun 2019 01:15:30
SRK, who said we are losing Kent? Only you, mate.

11.) 15 Jun 2019 07:54:50
Kent is a Liverpool player, weve already lost him. might resign him but I promise you, currently weve lost him.

14 May 2019 08:54:55
Does anyone know why Tav wears the Bandage on his left wrist as I don't think he wore it at the beginning when he came is it to help support and reinforce his wrist against an old injury or is it and this is the reason why I ask as most of the season I have noticed he kisses that wrist and hops up on one foot as he comes out on to the pitch just was beginning to think it was part of a wee superstition he might have?
I know this is a bit of a mundane question but little else to talk about while I still revel in the afterglow of a good win for us,

1.) 14 May 2019 09:41:51
Tommy has always wore a bandage from day one.

2.) 14 May 2019 10:27:58
Said on here before he's a Keith Lemmon fan 😆.

3.) 14 May 2019 10:59:28
And again. CHUGGING 😬😭🇬🇧.

4.) 14 May 2019 11:11:31
Lol peach mate.

5.) 14 May 2019 12:22:06
Think its a good luck thing.

6.) 14 May 2019 13:54:49
I think he hurt his wrist in one of his early games and always wore it after that as he scored and we won in that game.

7.) 14 May 2019 13:55:49
What is chugging😂😂😂😊.

8.) 14 May 2019 14:26:43
Up town top ranking.

9.) 14 May 2019 16:23:12
I read West Brom are supposed to be working on a bid for Tav. They offered 2.9 million last window and that was thrown out, I didn’t realise they offered that amount? No idea what sum would be acceptable?

10.) 14 May 2019 17:04:31
I'd think WBA would be concentrating on getting a manager first to be honest.

20 Apr 2019 17:48:54
Do we really need Morelos because I think we've been a better team without him and winning games comfortably?

1.) 20 Apr 2019 18:55:41
Well, at mo I see Him as an expendable nice extra but tbh would rather have the cash and before anyone else jumps on the fact he's still ger his future at ibrox looking shakier every game.

2.) 20 Apr 2019 19:07:47
where would we be right now without him, some people never happy, even candeias getting slagged off today even with two assists.

3.) 20 Apr 2019 20:22:51
Tommy gun you basing this on 3 games 2 of which are against the diet Huns.

4.) 20 Apr 2019 20:23:20
Have to agree, we look a much better team without morelos. The last two games look more like a rangers team. Kamara arfield davis jack bossed the midfield, katic again proving why he should be in the team. Defoe is looking sharp. Mcgregor class. We don't miss morelos, that's not a slate that's just a fact. Take the cash and invest wisely, add four quality players and that team is looking good. I just hope we maintain that level because over the last two weeks at fir park and again today that's the rangers I want to see. 👍.

5.) 20 Apr 2019 21:06:39
so why is the team playing better without morelos. is it not a simple fact that the shape has been changed. after all he is only one man. why doesn't he try this shape with morelos in the team. i'm sorry but we want rid of a star player and keep a loanee. really doesn't make sense to me. DeFoe playing like the way he is may just get recalled.

6.) 21 Apr 2019 01:49:04
Spot on tommy, more of a team without him and always finish with 11 on the park, get a good fee for him and with season ticket money should give Gerrard a good transfer pot.

7.) 21 Apr 2019 15:25:27
We have not changed our shape, we have played with a back four, 2 cm's 2 wide players, 1 att mid and 1 st all season. 👍.

Best away kit I can honestly remember and was my personal favourite was the black/ grey with blue pin stripes that we had the year we went to Uefa cup final partly because it was my lucky stop the team won every match I wore it but unfortunately I was that desperate to get back into the centre of Manchester on the day of the match I forgot to change out of my blue home top and unfortunately we lost! So blame me for that lol.

Doesn't look like long sleeve option will be available from Hummel as even the players who usually wear long sleeve shirts in the team have been wearing short sleeve tops, tbh I've always been I favour of the short sleeve tops rather than long sleeves.

The Gaffer will probably say yes we should "it's the right thing to do" but it's a nope from me they were classless in the immediate aftermath of the last OF and I think if the are given a guard of honour we should all turn our backs on them and boo or whistle.

I've been thinking the same I can only assume that he's damaged his wrist in the past and wears it as extra support. Someone go on Twitter and ask him? because I don't have a Twitter account.
