Little blue bear: Yes, but it did look like we were holding ourselves then we got the later goals which was pleasing, we looked as if we were in control of ourselves and stepped up to get more goals in the second half.

I'm a bit concerned we are too lightweight for next week. Forrester, Holt and McKay have all done well this season however it will be a different story next Sunday. They have quite a few strong players and I fear the 3 mentioned won't cope with their strength.

Totally agree biffo, I think forrester and McKay could be passengers next week, too lightweight in old firm battle, I hope we are wrong all the same. We definitely need to step it up next week although they are there for the taking.

Happy to get Petrofac cup out of the way, the game I thought was flat, too many misplaced passes some hairy moments in defence, need to learn to clear our lines not always fancy passing, Re goalkeeper i'm still not convinced about his inability at cross balls.
Still 2 clean sheets in a row, maybe i'm nitpicking.
Dean Shiels introduction again as sub, is like giving a fish a bath no impact, time to give Nicky Law a run . Cheers rant over.

Would agree with using Law before Shiels. Shiels does nothing when he comes on and his shooting is woeful at least Law will run around and try and put a tackle in or 2.

I think McKay and Forrester will give their full backs a torrid time to be honest. Lustig 1 on 1 way McKay will only have 1 winner and that's the wee man every time for me. And I think an in form Forreter is better that what Kierney has faced this year, let's see how he copes with Tav on the overlap as well.
I have no worries for next week as long as Ball starts and we play the same team that trounced Dundee. Holt Halliday and Ball bring a lot of energy into the middle of the park.

If we stopped rising to it then they will eventually move on as they are just at the wind up.
Rangers is rangers. If they think otherwise let them, that's their problem.

If an alien dropped out of the sky above Hampden on Sunday afternoon, it would encounter Scottish football's own version of a supernatural experience.
The visitor would be forgiven for thinking that what was unfolding at the national stadium was an occasion of great import, given the size of the crowd and the loudness of the noise and the celebration of the win - presuming Rangers win.
Instead, it's the little old Petrofac Cup final, a minor trophy that will be made to look like a very big deal on Sunday. The aesthetic of the day will be hugely impressive and will belie the status of the title on offer. That, in fairness, is to Rangers' credit. Their support continues to be massive and massively impressive.

This was followed by St Johnstone " incredible" achievement of finishing in top six 5 years running.

I take it you never listened to the sportsound coverage, it was even worse. I turned it off as although can't speak much Gaelic it was less offensive on the ears.

Really think Rangers should try and get Will Grigg from Wigan in the summer has been outstanding this year and has previously worked with Warburton at Brentford just a thought anyone else agree.

@ Gs1990 warburton would have put his order in for certain players months ago. who would have taken holt or some of the other players he's brought in at the beginning of the season and yes it's still 4-3-3 next season. let's not forget the management team have only been at ibrox for 10 months put this team together very quickly along with other structures from youth and scouting etc. i'm looking forward to see who he brings in and how they play. some of the the stuff spoken about on this site makes me giggle.

Agree will grigg would be an excellent signing for us. I heard last night on motd that 9 of Bournemouths team played in division 1 including there back 4 so I wouldn't be to disappointed if we recruited from division 1 for the spl I noticed yday on here linking us with beevers from Millwall would also be a good signing.

I see a lot of Bears hoping that NUFC go down meaning that Mike Ashley will be forced to give up his holding in Rangers but as myself and a couple of others have suggested, doesn't Ashley only own shares in the holding company RIFC and therefore nothing changes should Rangers be relegated? And his deal on the jerseys would stand anyway?
