Anyone else disappointed with the two results so far, I know it is practically a new team and it needs time to gel but I still would of expected more from the talented strike force we have, what are you thoughts on the whole team switch around aswell?

I93

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Some people. , we are getting
know each other and winning.
Give the lads a break ffs
billy h

Agree0 Disagree0

Id be happy winning one nil every week. A win is a win. Anyway its about getting matches under their belts building up fitness. It means nothing in results terms.

Agree0 Disagree0

I can understand that but still 3 goals is pretty poor, I really pleased with all the transfers but I just expected the strikers to bag more goals against this level of competition

Agree0 Disagree0

I was expecting more goals but I wouldn't say I was dissappointed.

at least we havnt conceded yet

Agree0 Disagree0

Christ sake be moaning if we were the Tims they've shipped about 11 goals.

Agree0 Disagree0

You have got to remember they are using the full squad in these friendlys and not just the starting 11 you would use in a competitive match

Agree0 Disagree0

Give the guys a chance. judge them when we have a first choice eleven on the park.

Agree0 Disagree0

Also as is usual against us
the goalkeeper had a brilliant
game and you can't argue
with that mate

come on Rangers! what's going on? another new coach, this time for under 17's!

Surely now we have more coaches than National Express.

For God's sake, we are a SECOND division team with a huge financial cancer so why yet another high paid salary position, and what about the cuts on the playing staff - just doesn't add up to me.

Wee Bill

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Ok u17s coach doesn't that sound like there trying to develop the youth team isn't that what everyone has been saying for months and months god some people are never happy

manderson 1872

Agree0 Disagree0

Is this rant just to use that terrible joke?

Agree0 Disagree0

The rant my friend is because we now have a manager plus 5 other coaches -like isaid we are a 2nd div outfit ffs

Agree0 Disagree0

@3. No we are the biggest club in Scotland caught in an unfortunate situation where we are required to play our football in the lower divisions due to financial mismanagement by poor owners. Let's get that clear. A second division 'outfit' we ain't.

Agree0 Disagree0

At 4) your in the second division (3rd tier of scottish football) so therefore you are a second division team get over it.

youll have to win that league to lose the second deivision team tag

Agree0 Disagree0

@4/ Are you for real? Dealing in semantics is ridiculous. A member of the board had to pay an electricity bill last year! The unfortunate situation was called liquidation mate. Just out of year one and money problems still appear to be with us. What a stupid post. Get your head out the sand.

Agree0 Disagree0

Number 5 the gers will have the league won by xmas

With David Longmuir now departed from the new league set up, what chance he will be our next CEO? Just a thought, I mentioned it a couple of months ago and was accused of being the said Mr L. Not a rumour, but I believe it it could be likely.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I think that would be a great move! I like Longmuir. Did a great job regards bringing in sponsorship and revenues to the SFL without literally selling the jersey like that waste of space Doncaster.

If he did come in mouths would be filling with foam in the east lol

Nah bud we would be too busy p!ssin ourselves laughing, the guys a clown, perfectly suited for the circus act performing at ibrox nowadays.

The celtic defence is the laugh bud 11 goals against piss

Read the article in the paper with nicky clark. talkin bout daly havin to always pick up his swsety wrappers. eh hello. professional athlete on the sweeties. let alone durin pre season. so proffesional guys. ffs coisty. all pro players shld b on proper diets in this day of age. get it sorted gers

Believable0 Unbelievable0

@op read it again then pal it doesn't say anything about sweets it just says he pick up after him bad times when you can't even copy a story

Agree0 Disagree0

How do u know it's not protein bars & stuff like that?

Agree0 Disagree0

Eating sweeties! Oh no, cancel his contract immediately. And while were at it sack the manager, and the fitness coach and the sweeper up-er. This is a disgrace. Heads MUST roll! Get a grip.

Agree0 Disagree0

Its called a metaphor mate stating daly is a lot older experianced player who he's learing a lot from stating that he's picking up the weaknesses in his game acting as a father figure picking him up under his wing like david weir done with so much youth boys that have played in the rangers team

Agree0 Disagree0

Lets hope he disnae litter THE BUS!

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed can I ask you if you think were in danger again with finance {Ed001's Note - it will always be difficult while the club is outside of the top flight, but there is no reason for it to be in immediate danger. Well, other than bad ownership!}

Agree0 Disagree0

No 4 - no its not. In the para in question Clark says "He's always running around picking things up after us. "
The point however remains that its a daft post from the OP.

There's a lot of concern about finances at the club. We're not in Europe and friendlies should be arranged at Ibrox with the obvious reason to raise money and to entertain.

I recall a benefit game against Dunfermline - I think it was in honour of Sandy Jardine -if not him, well he played an absolute blinder that day anyway - as one of the best games I've been to for fun and entertainment. The tackles weren't going in hard and the skill levels displayed were unforgettable. Sold out in Dunfermline. A friendly against Ajax at Ibrox springs to mind as well. Great football on show.

To top it all, it'll give great experience to our players playing against top teams also not playing European football and with time on their hands.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Until rangers get back to the top league teams like Ajax won't be interested in playing us.

Agree0 Disagree0

But ibrox roof is rusting (rust! its supposed to be steel), and can't stay like this foreever.

needs £8million in repairs.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ajax would be playing scotlands most successful club why wouldn't they want to play us in front of the best and most loyal fans in the uk

Agree0 Disagree0

You learn something new every day!! Since when was steel impervious to rust?

Agree0 Disagree0

@2 steel that's rusting, imagine that. Only at Ibrox do you get steel that rusts. Must be a conspiracy. Unbelievable

Agree0 Disagree0

If its made of steel the it's obviously corrosion, not rust.

Agree0 Disagree0

Good god, this is got to be a piss take, steel is a ferrous metal, it contains iron, rust is the corrosion, stainless steel is non ferrous and doesn't rust or take a magnet, and believe me Ibrox roof is not stainless steel.

Agree0 Disagree0

@ op and previous op about finance corcerns at Ibrox and Keiron Prior's concerns. Renewed my season ticket last week and will pay subscription to Rangers TV. Like most bears am doing what I can but admit to real concerns on cash situation at Ibrox. Would probably have managed to scrape together the minimum investment for the shares issue if it hadn't been at the worst possible time of the year -for most of us. There are a number of bears posting on this site who are share holders. Is it possible for them to inform the only reasonable sized investor in our club (Mr Prior) there are a large number of bears who share his concerns. Like most people I had never heard of the chap until he invested in Rangers. He seems to be outwith any factions, has an intelligence and street wise in business terms beyond all of us. Could he be the fans representative? I know nothing about company/shareholder rules et all but Walter, Ally Craig Mather etc need to know there is deep concern amongst the bears and we do not want to go through another event like last years. Just thinking out loud that's all

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Jul 2013 21:21:33
Ajax would only want to play a friendly if they wanted an easy run-out for their players.

Agree0 Disagree0

Steel rusts. that's just something you have to accept

Agree0 Disagree0

Steel still rusts, its a ferrous metal. unless its a stainless steel roof we've got :-/

Agree0 Disagree0

Even stainless steel is still a steel alloy - it doesn't rust as easily, but it still rusts eventually.

Agree0 Disagree0

Cars made of steel - rust! SHOCK! Hold the front page! Ibrox roof, made of steel - Rusting! SHOCK! Rangers fan writes drivel on internet forum. Normal service is resumed.

LLSTMF

Agree0 Disagree0

Who cares if its rust or corrosion, emails release show major concerns with ibrox roof two years ago, have there been any repairs since, or is this the hidden bill not being paid and which is left for the next owner.

ipo saif £9million of ibrox, is there any work there at all, or with the stadium manager gone, are we waiting for the roof to fall in?

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Jul 2013 10:18:59
if someone with the experence of kieran prior is concerned with the latest developments within the ibrox board, I think its fair to say as fans so should we, and be concerned in the direction our great club is going!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

It seems to be that when proper investors and business people get involved, ones who know the market and how to get others to invest like Murray and Prior they will be pushed out or not listened to.

Agree0 Disagree0

Cudnt agree more m8, and if there are still people out there who don't think green has done us up like a kipper then they bare living in a bubble, and before anyone starts on about how he saved us, well think about it? do you really believe nobody else was interested, we would have seen it through, and may even have been in a far better place than we are now, (as regards boardroom figures), he grabbed it with both hands and squeezed the cash life out of us, we will be paying green for years, he was no hero, he was a rat

Agree0 Disagree0

Going? Have you been sleeping mate. This is now getting dangerous. Cenkos being replaced by a Boutique bank is a warning sign.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Jul 2013 12:15:13
op---Havn't you got enough to bother about the way your team are playing just before cl qualifiers?

Our share price rose yesterday. we now have a stable board and the squad this season look much improved. am I worried? no way am looking forward big time to the coming season. WATP.

Agree0 Disagree0

Apart from the fact your talking nonsense, why do you think the OP is a celtic fan? More turning the other way like you did with Murray Whyte and Green? There are divisions all around Ibrox yet you think all is well. Sad really.

Agree0 Disagree0

Too true. I also think that Walter is concerned. WW

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Jul 2013 13:35:13
@4: so because someone posts that they're concerned about what is happening at board level - based on the concerns of a shareholder with extensive experience in the city - they must be a Celtic fan?! Try being less blinkered - Green etc. will love unquestioning fans like you.

Agree0 Disagree0

@4 how does that make him a Tim open your eyes? In my opinion Kieran Prior is the most reliable man we have at the moment so I will take his word over anything Spin Doctor Jabba puts out through the Club. It would not surprise me if Green has us stitched up to leave the club with a small percentage of all income, the man was not there for the good of the club he's an attention seeking snake just like Whyte he was in it for one thing and guess what that was? We're a cash cow & it's high time things changed I can't help but support the team & I am purchasing a season book this weekend but we need to keep a close eye on everything happening within signings are nice but not when were shipping a million a month the team could've competed I'm
div 2 with just Clark Bell & Law coming in.

Agree0 Disagree0

Tommy - The Green consortium has been far from perfect but I have four questions for you

1, Who else was interested?

2, How much did they seriously bid to take over the club?

3, How would we have seen it through if there was no other investment to buy the assets and keep the club going?

4, When green sells his shares explain how is he going to be able to keep taking money out of the club for years?

When I look at what this consortium has acheived, I see that

firstly and most importantantly they managed to put a rangers team out on the park last season when the SPL, SFA were not exactly falling over themselves to give us a licence

promotion and on our way back up through the leagues

won the BTC

won the case to strip our titles

raised 22M in the share issue

puma deal

blackthorn deal

Investment in the team with 6 new players brought in for the new season

So like I say things are far from perfect, this was never going to be a quick fix, we have to make our way back step by step, most new company will not be profitable immediately

will green ahmad etc walk away with a big profit from their investment? of course that's why they invested in the first place but their money will come from whoever buys their shares, not from the club!

Whats more there will be boardroom changes from now until someone or some group takes over a controlling % of the shares from the current shareholders, if you don't understand that then you don't understand business

All the above is my personal opinion - just as you have yours

JG

Agree0 Disagree0

@3

i think you will find its been changed from Cenkos Securities plc to Strand Hanson Ltd.

Agree0 Disagree0

#4. Not a criticism mate but i'm actually becoming a bit concerned about the ST and share issue money that we {The fan's} have stumped up.
There's just something niggling away at me regarding yesterday's proceedings.
Why ditch Cenkos? They are a well respected firm, and replace them with an unknown? Keiron Prior's statement also concerns me, he is "dismayed" and "worried".
There seems to be momentum building up that we are going under again. The belief is that another administration either (BDO?) or a CG strategy, will makethis happen. This will then pave the way for a new takeover, Blue Knight's or whoever, to raise another share issue. Then Charlie and his cronies leg it with our cash, while also leasing out Ibrox to the new owners. The next step would probably see any new owner or consortium flogging murray park.

Now. This may or not have been a plan from the outset. SDM/CW/CG.?

I would advise any shareholder who is interested to contact the A. I. M. and ask them to explain their Rule 18 regarding the publishing of the accounts. Stress that as a concerned shareholder you have genuine worries over your investment. The accounts aren't due until December 2013 as we have been told, but this rule clearly states that there should be two six monthly reports. I think as shareholders we should be forcing the issue here, toat least get answers regarding our investment. I will be demanding this of A. I. M. however the more people who raise concern's the better.
What do you think Bears?
P. O. B.

Agree0 Disagree0

7. @4 Rangers share price is at an all time low and will continue to decline after yesterdays shenanigans. The fans should be taking a keen interest in what Prior has to say, do not continue to keep allowing yourself to be robbed. Weeks ago a poster called I think Baybear was trying to rally the troops, this was the correct action and should continue the fans must have a voice in that boardroom.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Jul 2013 15:31:33
@10: Green etc. will have ways of making money from the club outwith shares like the bonuses from last season and any money made by the plethora of companies he set up under the auspices of the main one. Your opinion is just that but it's decidedly blue-tinted and you show no signs of wanting to question what's going on. What about the Prior statements? Are they rubbish too? Maybe time to remove your head from the sand for a while.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry ed, had to reply - as the op, who posted this and to put an end to the side issue of "is he a tim / celtic fan in disguise", i'm a rangers season ticket holder who is worried that more dodgey spivs are positioning themselves into a position of strengh and again taking a hold of MY great club!

Agree0 Disagree0

1, Who else was interested?

Walter smith had consortium with more moeny £6million.

2, How much did they seriously bid to take over the club?

Who - even Green only put in £25k and got it back 3 days later, with interest.

3, How would we have seen it through if there was no other investment to buy the assets and keep the club going?

Green had exclusive rights to buy, from D&P who were complicit in the deal. This is not the best solution - due to whyte/green/d&P its the only solution.

4, When green sells his shares explain how is he going to be able to keep taking money out of the club for years?

Cos he only selling shares in football club, not the holding club or 7 other companies he set up to run Rangers retail/security/. /etc etc he still director on each of these, each paying him £50k/year each

wake up JG - angola to hot for you?

Agree0 Disagree0

#10

How did the consortium win the BTC?

Or win the case to strip our titles?

They played no part in either, all Charlie Green did was play up the possibility of title stripping which was one of only 22 possible sanctions. This suited him as he realised title stripping wasn't very likely in the first place. Clever strategy as it fooled many bears and got them on his side.

Agree0 Disagree0

Bottom line is the share holders have the power if the 'fans' have a 51% share then they have the power. I think it will fall pay again maybe it will maybe it won't. Either way it will a long hard road back to the spl. Blue knights white knights whoever the meat has been took, all that's left is the bone. As someone said before rent out ibrox etc green & co get a wage regardless who's calling the shots, more so if another 14th of feb happens.

@15 - winter time here mate so I can remain cool and think rationally

Rangers match day services ltd company proposed to strike off 1 may 2013
Rangers youth development ltd company dissolved 12 may 2013
Rangers media investments ltd company dissolved 4 June 2013

All above to see on companiesintheuk. co. uk

He remains director of one company, rangers retail ltd which is 51%owned by RIFC and 41% owned by sports direct who put up 1, 5 million for RIFC

Jg

Agree0 Disagree0

@10 -I might concede the first one but when the spl/sfa wanted us to give up titles as a condition to granting a licence green said No. He then made sure we had legal representation to defend our case, which we won, remember?

Jg

Agree0 Disagree0

@12 Indeed I was but quite frankly I got bored of repeating myself only to be accused of being 'Timmy' or 'Not a real Rangers fan'.
For weeks I tried to get supporters to focus and take action. I even provided an idea that had the potential to have our voice heard. Unfortunately the 30k+ season tickets suggest I am very much in the minority of fans who are looking to take action for answers rather than just hoping they will turn up.
So far what has happened is along the lines of what I felt would happen. Give them our ST money and we're handing over any power that we had. I'm comfortable with my reasons for not renewing but does it make me happy. no! I'm gutted that I won't be a ST holder anymore but that pales into insignificance in comparison to the worry I have for the future of my club. Therefore, I respect all supporters for their undoubted love for the club but I feel the majority seem to be misguided and dare I say it, unbelievably gullible. I will continue with my stance and do what I can to make a difference. Unfortunately without a majority voice I firmly believe we will see our club plunge into yet another tangled financial mess.
Please remember, a charlatan wearing a club tie is still a charlatan. Demanding answers doesn't make you a traitor. The longer we all disagree on forums the longer the crooks have us distracted while they rape our club and laugh at us whilst doing it.

Agree0 Disagree0

@18 (JG) Good to see this - odd not released to shareholders? But where is the accounts for each of these businesses to show no income to Green.

winding up means moneys paid out to directors, in each case. no?

7/10 - for effort in uncovering this, but follow the money, its the only path to the truth.

whats you comment on the tapes of Green saying UEFA corrupt and platini useless when green rangers ceo - how will that help RiFC get back into european football and the riches there in?

Agree0 Disagree0

@21 - The info is all out there, just need to look for it outside the daily rags and troll blogs

I have never heard the tapes but I would say green has a fair assessment of uefa and platini there.

Dont know how it could be proven 100% that green was on the tape unless there is a video as well, could claim it was edited etc

We will get back into europe when we meet the licence criteria which includes three years SFA membership and one years audited accounts plus one year previous figures for comparison - unless UEFA in their wisdom decide to grant an exception for a licence earlier (which they can do)

I have a question for you, what about my assessment of the acheivements till now.

Fair or not?
