whats happened to the sporting director we were supposed to get, what's happened to the new scouting team, what's happened to the fresh investment promised by owners what's happened to dave king what's happened to the danish billionaire who was supposed to be taking over according to rumours down south. answer is nothing is happening, next season is going to be the same lousy football produced by the same lousy players and manager. I don't think we will get promoted, simply not good enough. i'm so depressed

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Great post Oorpie - lots of good questions with the usual bullsh*t outcome. Wish to God King would get his cheque book out and take everything under his wing

Agree0 Disagree0

11 Jul 2014 06:51:20
It is a good post and asks a lot of valid questions, but we need to remember we need promotion, and AMC and his advisors obviously believe he has signed the players to attain that, i'm not over ensamoured with the team either but i'm willing to wait and see at least half a season, If we are in front I will be reasonably happy, Promotion is king,
speaking of King, He is either getting ready to pounce, or has bottled it, i'm still convinced something dramatic will happen at some point, just pray its good news. i'm so disappointed that GW has stained his own reputation with lie after lie, How can he hold his head up in the business world? after his time ends here, and it will soon enough, Over to you King/Goughy

Agree0 Disagree0

Ask oorpie what he has done nothing what have we done nothing until we all get it into our heads there are no white knights out there who want to throw millions away on a football club the only cure is some sort of set up like barcelona it will be case of same s. different day

just discovered Simonsen was used as a sub against Fulham?? surely we don't need him now, he IS a good keeper but. we need to offload

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Wee bill your complaining we didn't sign cowie, your moaning about zaliukas not being signed and your on about needing to offload, what's it to be, we already have a first team squad of 23 players, is that not enough for the championship?

JG

10 Jul 2014 21:41:49
If we sign Allan I'll be happy

Agree0 Disagree0

JG - I didn't say I wanted Cowie, I said it had been said we were chasing him. As for Zaliukas I couldn't care less if he signs or not. My opion, which you obviously missed, was that a week ago we were about to sign him, yet here we are a week on an nothing has happened. it would be better if we DIDN'T tell the papers until AFTER the deals are done. We ALREADY have enough players and too many bosses Super ally, mcdowell, durrant and Durie to run teams in lower leagues?? they;re having a laugh. Oh yes all the way to USA and Canada to play nobodies when we could be playing more meaningful matches here in the UK and now there's yet more talk in the papers about THAT tax case

Agree0 Disagree0

11 Jul 2014 06:55:16
rangers will make money from americam tour, and allow Gers fans there to see their heroes,? surely you wouldn't deny them that bill? and another thing you mention 4 coaches,?? for a major club the size of Ranngers we actually need far more coaches m8, do you know how many age structures there is? do you know how much admin that requires? do you expect 2 coaches to work with every kid who trains? Get a grip Bill
Tommy

Agree0 Disagree0

11 Jul 2014 07:00:50
and another thing Bill, Is your head in the clouds m8, or are you on the booze, you actually expect an outcome like the tax case not to draw attention and comment? are you serious, Rangers are proven innocent of that particular charge and you moan about fans talking about it? cudnt make it up, Jeezo
Tommy

Agree0 Disagree0

11 Jul 2014 09:06:19
Wee bill what MEANINGFUL matches could we be playing ,unless your in Europe at this stage its all about friendly games to get the players up to speed & don't forget we have a good fan base in both countries.
r.f

Agree0 Disagree0

Simonsen is doing the exact same as craig gordon & kenny miller & kris boyd all did last year he is getting pre season training with rangers. we got the policy if u played with rangers then training facilities are available for free

11 Jul 2014 15:16:34
Really? Simmo signs 1 year deal today!!

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Jul 2014 18:32:03
Rangers win 4-2 against Fulham and reports are coming through that the goalkeeper for the 2nd half was Simonsen why did Ally McCoist pass over Scott Gallacher to allow Simonsen play in the friendly? Gallacher must be gutted why play Simonsen in front of him I just don't get it Is it an age thing again or does he not trust Gallacher who never let us down when he played for us. thoughts guys good result though it's just a friendly.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

The boy never let us down but simonsen did big time against dundee utd terrible decision

Agree0 Disagree0

Same old story, good chance to give the young guys a chance when nothing is at stake but no, let's not think about the future!

Surely even the pro ally brigade can't find a defence on this one.

Agree0 Disagree0

He's maybe giving him a pre-season, while he gets a club? Nice thing to do since he was a rangers player. Gallacher has played in pre-season games and will continue too.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry being Mr nice don't cut it with me he needs to get a ruthless streak back in him like he had when he was a striker, it should be about the future and Simonsen needs to disappear.

Agree0 Disagree0

11 Jul 2014 07:03:03
@4 you seem to be the only one who has picked up on the obvious pal, Its clear that he is helping the guy get a club, or proving his fitness, maybe even to Fulham, or some other club who asked for him to play to confirm his fitness,
Tommy

Agree0 Disagree0

Bongo sir! Ally has only ever had a selfish streak in him!Tommy45, did Simonsen not have a jolly over to Hong Kong with a young side a few weeks ago?. As for him getting another club he has played only 1 high profile game in a year and we all know what happened there! nothing gained by his playing.

Agree0 Disagree0

11 Jul 2014 11:01:53
Ywinston, what are you talking about, a jolly to hong kong? this is his job m8, his place of employment, his livelihood, what would you do if you went into work and your boss said part of your job is to travel sometimes? say no? and "nothing to be gained " it might get the guy another club and therefore get him off the wagebill, how is that nothing to be gained?, some people seem to forget this is a place of employment we talk about, or maybe we will gain by paying him and letting him sit in the dressing room for a few years? would that be gainfull /
tommy

Agree0 Disagree0

Tommy45, is his contract not up? was it not a 1 year deal he was on? Why was he playing in Hong Kong with a young side? do we not have any young goalkeepers? Do you have info that Gallagher is going on loan again? because if not Simonsen would'nt even be on the bench for a few minutes never mind a few years. So I will ask again, what did we gain by him playing and not givng Gallagher more 1st team experience.

Agree0 Disagree0

#5 he's just signed for Rangers today enough said on that, we don't need him young Scott Gallacher must be so sick he looks a good prospect as well he'll probably be freed!!!

10 Jul 2014 17:37:49
Zaliukas wasnt used in the Fulham game. Was he out house-hunting or has he headed off home? it's now a week to tie him down, smells to me like he walked away last year too

I reported last week that Don Cowie was heading to Rangers. My source has told me that the deal has fell through and he will sign for Wigan today / tomorrow, he passed his medical last nyt

Believable0 Unbelievable0

10 Jul 2014 17:07:26
so what now Ally?? Wigan have signed Cowie on a 2 year deal. More hot air from our leader, designed to sell season tickets I think. Next on the radar will be Wesley Sneider I suppose :)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

10 Jul 2014 17:42:26
Maybe we spoke to him & he didn't want to come or the manager spoke to CEO & there wasn't enough cash for the wages he was looking for, we prob will never know I must add though the managers damned if he does & damned if he doesn't sign players.
r.f

Agree0 Disagree0

I am one of allys worst critics the move had nothing to do with selling ticket I actually yhink his signings are not 2 far away

Agree0 Disagree0

To 1 and 2 above - I undrstand where you are coming from, but why tell the punters then let us all down. it used to be that Rangers business was all hush hush until a deal was definite. Now we open our gobs and jump in with both feet!!

Agree0 Disagree0

You think people bought season tickets on the basis don cowie was signing?

Agree0 Disagree0

Lexlau - no - I think the names are bandied about as a carrot to get season ticket sales. not specifically Cowie. look how Boyd signing boosted the sales!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Your comment was "more hot air from our leader, designed to sell season tickets I think" in a post about signing don cowie. Ally says he wanted to sign Boyd and he did, he also says he wanted to sign don cowie but he has chosen wigan. So how is that more hot air from our leader?

Great news Lewis McLeod back after his illness. scored in a 4-2 win against Fulham at Murray park. maybe just maybe things looking on the up. just need to get rid of the vermin in control of our club and we'll be fine.

We won't be signing don cowie as he's signed a two year deal with wigan this afternoon

so who is going to be the first to apologise to us for all the cheat taunts? Daily record? haha 3 years of pantomine all for nothing. No worries ghirls We Are The People, see you soon.

Time for a public enquiry, and heads to role within hmrc and the media!!

You did still cheat. Read the outcome more carefully before posting. The amount HMRC can claim against oldco has been reduced but you were still cheating

OP if as your log in name suggests you are based even further east than Embra then you will not see the prgramme on BBC2 at 10.30 tonight which promises to investigate the question "did the taxman destroy Rangers"? I am sure somebody will watch it and let you know.

Agree0 Disagree0

The disgusting witch hunt against all things Rangers by HMRC, the Media, SFA, et al can now be seen as nothing more than bloody-mindedness. The spectre of the so-called 'Big Tax Case' put off potential buyers until the rate Whyte came along and chose not to pay PAYE and National Insurance. When we are back in the SPL and on top, we should never, ever forget the spiteful back-stabbers who were all to pleased to see Rangers consigned to the lowest divisions of Scottish football. What goes around comes around.

Agree0 Disagree0

Goodness me have you still got your heads buried in the sand? You were evading tax illegally or legally, does the taxman not have the right to investigate and recoup the money? Your club had many choices to avoid admin before it took place but chose not to. The reason you were liquidated has nothing to do with HMRC, there were other options open to the administrators and Green/ rivals but they all wanted club on the cheap. While your new club stands on the brink of another financial crisis you would rather blame everyone else apart from yourselves. take a closer look at home ie Murray/Green/Whyte to see who is at fault here. Or maybe a big boy done it and ran away lol.

@2 There is nothing like a good objective post and your post is absolutely nothing like a good objective post. I realise this divide that was formerly referred to as the Old Firm has very bitter un christian like people like you on both sides whose hatred of the "other mob" transcends worthwhile mortal values like tolerance and charity to those less well off than you. Now you are entitled to an opinion but to come onto the site of bears still licking our wounds from our self inflicted destruction and state as fact the opposite of the findings of Lord Doherty is the antithesis of objectivity and accuracy.

Let me summarise for you he "dismissed the appeal against a first-tier tax tribunal decision"

Hence the headlines "HMRC loses appeal over ruling in Big Tax Case".

Now just because you wanted the ruling to go the other way doesn't give your subjective statement of "your still guilty" any greater gravitas or leave it in any other box except yet another un-balanced bitter inaccurate fit of pique.

Just as some bitter bears annouced your club guilty of EBT for Juniho " non standard " payments and your allegedly dodgy loans of almost unbelievably low interest rates doesn't make it so.

But hey good luck with your mental health issues and remember accuracy will always help your argument with tolerant people open to some acceptance of the blame.

Inaccuracy and anger will make you feel better for your post but will not advance the healing process or tolerance, christianity, decency and the truth one iota.

Now heids or tails will I post this long winded piffle- oops sorry - och well just don't read it I know I won't.

@5 its the circumstances surrounding the whole takeover and the subsequent criminality that led to admin and liquidation. A lot of people must be worried now and had BDO completed the admin we may not have ended up where we are now. And as for evading tax have you never done a homer or paid a tradesman cash for a job? So get off your moral high ground for once and take off the green tinted speaks to see what actually happened and is still happening to our club.

Agree0 Disagree0

Rainman - HMRC have rejected the CVA proposed by Rangers forcing the liquidation of the Glasgow club.

Paul Clark, joint administrator at Duff and Phelps, said in a statement: "We have been informed by HMRC they will not support the proposal for a Company Voluntary Arrangement at the meeting of creditors on Thursday, June 14.

This was at at time when they were withholding the decision of the FTT and knowing the finding was in favour of Rangers

Don't stay blinded by your hatred for the rangers

Nbear please do not call me bitter as I'm not. You don't know me and nothing in my post would suggest otherwise. The fact remains that Rangers now owe HMRC less but the number is irrelevant as they couldn't pay this either and would have been liquidated and died regardless even discounting Craig Whyte who accelerated the process. Also, I have no mental health issues and I'm surprised that an unfounded attack like this would be posted

Agree0 Disagree0

11 Jul 2014 07:13:50
@2 you are a very silly little man, don't you understand thru all that hate, the fans didn't cheat anyone, and its the fans you are speaking to when you post on here, are you a all round troll, or just Rangers sites, and again, the court said it wasn't illegal, so HOW is that cheating?
tommy

Agree0 Disagree0

Hidden payments and contracts, improperly registered players=cheating! end of. if HRMC can't prove in court that EBT scheme used fraudulently, ie loans that were never re-paid, then that's their problem I reckon but hiding payments and bonuses from SFA and SPL was and is cheating. So have a rant about HRMC, Craig Whyte, etc etc. but other clubs and Scottish Football ruling bodies did nothing wrong. except let club off lightly!

Agree0 Disagree0

Marty, don't be fooled by paper talk about all the "small debtors" like the papershop and the facepainters, these were all business which would have been paid in due course, just like sellik have small debtors and all business owes to someone, Rangers couldn't pay anyone as soon as they were sent into administration, it would have been illegal, now do you understand a WEE BIT MORE? OR IS THAT TOO MUCH?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed039's Note - I have been try

@ 9 and 11 Let me explain the difference between FACT and opinion.
You have both come on here and offered your opinions. But the FACTS are Nimmo Smith did not share your opinion that Rangers FC won some of their 54 league titles by cheating otherwise he would have stripped away the titles and Celtic fans like you would have got part of what you wanted.
The FIRST TIER TAX TRIBUNAL like the APPEAL under Doherty ruled against HMRC. Now these are facts against your opinions. Some Rangers fans think Celtic cheated the Tax man for scores of years by understating their crowds. Some Rangers fans are at a loss to explain why the "dodgy" EBT payments to Juninho were quickly brushed under the carpet by the SPL. Some Rangers fans are of the opinion that the loans from the disgraced CO-OP bank should come under scrutiny but that is their opinion. It is like an accused facing trial 3 times and not being found guilty but some people who know next to nothing about the exhaustive legal processes deciding they are guilty in their opinion. It counts for nothing absolutely nothing.
But your final opinion that this club was let off lightly- unbelievable!!!
I just hope for your sake your club is never subjected to anything remotely like what my club has endured over the last 3 years.
But then I am different from you I wish no ill on your club but it does annoy me when fans of your club come on here to a Bears forum and ignore due legal process and state opinions guaranteed to incense the Bears. I wouldn't do it to you and I cannot understand why you are trying to stick another boot in kicking the man further while he is down. and @ 9 the mental health thing was OTT and I do apologise for it
