Use our rumours form to send us rangers transfer rumours.

10 Jul 2016 22:45:43
What's happening with us signing a Centre Half? Focus has been on who the new Striker is recently. I know Warbs stated he is trying to buy a Striker but I have a feeling we might get new striker on loan from Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool or Spurs and use the budget to sign a defender maybe even Dom Ball on a permanent transfer.
Can't wait for this upcoming week to see who we get and to go to Fir Park on Saturday 😀.

11 Jul 2016 11:04:32
Probably because he knows Dominic Ball is coming back on loan.

10 Jul 2016 21:12:46
Tell you who has turned into a cracking prospect jordan larsson scored some cracking goals in sweden wouldn't it be funny if rangers signed him lol. It would be worth it just for the laughs and the tims meltdown.

11 Jul 2016 06:07:35
Would be great if he turned out to be player like his dad.
Unfortunately he's out with a knee injury, no idea what the damage is, if he came back stronger yeh could be one for the future. Only 19 and 500,000 price tag might be worth taking a chance on him. Thoughts please.

11 Jul 2016 09:25:51
If he ever does come to Scotland it won't be us lol.

10 Jul 2016 19:49:04
As we are all going a bit nuts (well i am) over who the strikers going to be? i thought a chance of pace. WHO do we think the defender will be? Ball?

10 Jul 2016 20:13:05
Still a chance of Mariappa?

Ball would be a loan, doubt there'd be much point as MW sees him more as a DM.

Anton Ferdinand?

Liam Moore mentioned before on here. Might be a good shout.

10 Jul 2016 20:33:43
Ball has a year left at spurs If they decide he's not in 1st team plans a don't think it would be a hard deal to push through if the lad wanted to come permanent that Is.

10 Jul 2016 21:10:00
I mentioned Anton ferninand couple weeks ago on here. think he would be good signing.

10 Jul 2016 21:17:41
Ball has Dier and now Wanyama ahead of him at Spurs for DM role. Cannot see a future for him there and he is still listed as a development squad player. How about him for the 4th centre back role. We know him, he liked it here, and would have good resale value?

10 Jul 2016 22:42:38
Just my opinion here Bears but I can't see Poch lettin Ball leave, but I don't think now is the time for him to break into first team. I think Spurs will offer him new deal but also look to loan him out, if this is the case and he comes back to Ibrox then I think Warbs will use him as a CB rotating him with Hill. I think that Crooks and Hill will be our 2 starting CB's and unless Wilson and Kiernan step it up he will use Ball to cover Hill as I don't see the big man starting every game. Would love to see Ball back at Ibrox and also sorting our on going defence issue. Read that Bradley Wright Phillips has been mentioned and I for one would like to see that happen, if that's the case and Phillips is our permenant signing then Warbs can bring in a couple of young attacking lads from the big clubs down south, them along with Ball on loan will giv us 3 loans all in which I've thought Warbs will do as come Jan gives us the option to bring people in if needed as I think an SPFL team can bring a max of 5 loans over a season. Again really hope Phillips arrives and the Cummings rumour stops.

11 Jul 2016 09:47:16
Dembele is also ahead of him as are others. He is also young and at least as good as what we have at the back so definitely worth a small tester bid!

10 Jul 2016 16:47:02
any news on when we can buy kit.

10 Jul 2016 18:54:19
Probably never the way this is going.

10 Jul 2016 19:45:53
Think it will be a long while before kit will be available to buy. Had Ashley not be so greedy I'm sure a compromise could have been reached for the benefit of all parties.

10 Jul 2016 20:36:05
Was meant to be news by the weekend hopefully something this week.

10 Jul 2016 13:34:13
reports say Lee Gregory handed in transfer request in wish to move to Rotherham, really hope transfer request is correct but hope Rotherham is BS and ibrox bound, would be cracker.

10 Jul 2016 11:33:49
Just read tat yakubu turned out for a non league English side yesterday, been playing in turkey but his contract is up, only 33 and knows we're the net is, nt saying we have been linked but he would be a good signing imo.

10 Jul 2016 12:01:02
Sorry mate yakubu is done hence Why he turned out for a non league side.

10 Jul 2016 20:12:46
Are the 'yakuba' not a organised crime gang in Japan?

10 Jul 2016 11:01:01
After the much publicised break down in talks with Tav and Wags it got me thinking how much would these guys be worth if we were to sell?
I think both have at least 2 seasons left on their contracts so I would be happy to see how they play in top flight before going back to the negotiating table.
Anyway how much do you think they are worth guys?
I would say £1.5m for Tav if he defends better this season in better league his value could double.
Waghorn I think is worth £2m, these are just my opinions let me know what you guys think they are worth.
Cheers 55.

10 Jul 2016 11:16:32
Do you honestly think we would get that for either having just come up from the championship in Scotland?

10 Jul 2016 11:47:47
Yes due to their age, and that Wags went for £3m a few years ago and looks to have career back on track. Cummings has been valued at £1m+ and he has only proved himself in Championship. Wags also has experience playing in top flight in England. As for Tav although he can be poor in defence his free kicks and long shots are exceptional and with the ridiculous sums of cash in England I could see a Championship club paying £1.5m just to add 5-10 goals to their team per season.

10 Jul 2016 12:37:12
Any profit on the 2 would be good.

10 Jul 2016 13:06:39
What breakdown in talks is this? The reports I've read have said that they've rejected new terms. There may be more to it but rejecting new terms is vastly different from a breakdown in talks.

Are the papers making it out to be a drama or are we?

10 Jul 2016 13:50:02
Bruisedbear your manager had a dig at Celtic about paying different wages to certain players, causing disharmony in the dressing room, looks like the overpaying of Barton etc is coming home to roost with last seasons squad unhappy, watch your much vaunted "team spirit" evaporate this year.

10 Jul 2016 14:14:42
2 players don't make a team. I'll wait for more truth to come out rather than the media bull

10 Jul 2016 14:17:21
Theglasgowranger

Fair enough however I'm not aware of any team wanting to pay £1m for Cummings so that's just speculation. As for Waghorn and Tavernier I reckon £1m is nearer the mark. Can't see them getting sold in the summer however if new contracts aren't signed by January then I would expect something to happen.

10 Jul 2016 14:43:04
Biffo 316
It may well be the media who have placed that £1m value on Cummings and if he had long term contract I would agree but £500k is probably closer to true value while in final year of his contract.
As for £1m each for Tav and Waghorn that's a fair assessment with both unproven in Scotland top flight, I was just interested in what other fans think their both are worth. Maybe my figures of £1.5m and £2m are closer to what we would accept to sell them rather than what they are actually worth, a bit like Pogba who prob worth £40m but will be sold for £100m if rumours are correct.

10 Jul 2016 15:03:32
£100m for Pogba is ludicrous. Where will all this madness end?

10 Jul 2016 18:44:33
You just need to understand economics to understand inflation. Every market on the globe is smaller than the bpl (significant fall off in revenue in other leagues the further you go down the table) to the point where the championship is bigger than our own league. Other clubs look to the epl and know this so they inflate there prices due to how much the epl clubs make. Similar to what people would see as a Rangers tax since we are a big club we automatically need to pay more within Scotland. Only issue is it prices us completely out the market as we have no significant revenue and they know they can bid 10m and get any player they want we would need improved revenue and a board willing to hold onto its stars when big offers come in.

10 Jul 2016 23:20:36
Right Bears this is how I see the Tavs and Wags situation, at the start of the Lge i'm sure they would've sat down and signed a contract with the understanding that promotion was a must, when promotion was achieved there contracts would re-negotiated! Also step in an Agent, and i'm thinking that both players have the same one tho could be wrong. So whether Barton, Krankjar arrived this situation wouldve been on the horizon, I can't think why a club would approach players to talk about new contract conditions after one season in the CHAMPIONSHIP! Its just sad that the press have tried to turn this into a story about players being envious of other players. So again it would not have mattered who came and what other new signings were earning this conversation was on the cards, I just hope that the lads understand that they still have a bit to do to prove themselves. Regarding their current value Tav 1-1.5m and Wags 1.5-2m but I think these guys under Warbs can get a hell of a lot better and financially help our club. Hate to bring this mob into it but how can Bitton be a 10m player! the transfer market is mental. Anyways Bears alls good at Ibrox, Warbs has the house in order.

10 Jul 2016 10:42:02
Has the King made any statement about the shirt deal? i thought it was supposed to be by the weekend.

10 Jul 2016 11:06:22
I asked the same question on saturday morning on here laudrup86,king stated last midweek that we would be told info regarding our replica kit deal BY this weekend and we're still waiting.

10 Jul 2016 11:49:11
Calm down chaps. I'd imagine something is imminent but it's not a simple situation. DK has been more candid than any Chairman in our history. As soon as he can tell the support something, he will. And it's not even Sunday lunchtime yet. Sit by your phones all the same.

10 Jul 2016 11:52:48
To be fair to "The King" reports suggest he has been busy concluding a deal for Warburton which we are hopeful will be finalised this coming week. He will also be busy sorting out the imminent deal for whoever the striker is we are targeting aswell as the negotiations he's been having with Wags and Tav and the retail deal.
Could be a big week for us if we can conclude a Warburton deal, sign a good striker and hopefully be able to buy our strip again, the Home 1 reminds me of my 1st from 1986 season the Souness revolution now it's the start of a new era all over again 😏.

10 Jul 2016 11:54:36
To be fair warbs he has been fairly straight so far but why bother saying a statement is coming if its not? anyway of all the names mentioned soriano for me.

10 Jul 2016 12:14:11
In total agreement with you on that one laudrup86,soriano would be an amazing signing! His goals to games ratio with red bull salzburg is truly stunning and even that's not giving it justice!

10 Jul 2016 21:06:05
Just looked at Soriano (Salzburg player not the Sampdoria 1) . Anyway he would give us a massive chance of winning title but surely we couldn't afford him especially as there would be no sell on value due to his age. Have you heard anything about us being interested or are you just offering opinion on who you would like us to sign mate?

11 Jul 2016 00:37:37
Ive not heard anything. was just a name posted on the rumour site mate.

10 Jul 2016 10:34:01
Does anyone know the future of Fraser aird? Always liked him and thought he could become a really good player, I know he is back on Scotland ( saw his Twitter ) and think he got injured, but surely we are not just going to let him go on a free.

10 Jul 2016 11:49:49
I would release him. He is rank.

10 Jul 2016 13:03:24
Apparently aird was rather good on loan. His transformation to a Rightback went well, could be good competition for tav. Both players aren't the best at defending but do well going forward. Aird is still young aswell so he could still have a future.

10 Jul 2016 19:48:39
If he is doing as well as u say then surely we can get some sort of fee for him.

11 Jul 2016 06:08:22
Anyone know his contract situation? And I read the lad done really well in the US got voted into team of season!

10 Jul 2016 10:00:36
If we can finish second this season I for one will be delighted, This is a realistic target, of course I'd rather we win.
On the subject of Waggy and Tav's contracts by December we will be in a much better position to plan how much we can offer or plan for life, as much as I want them all to stay, without them.

10 Jul 2016 11:18:27
Bluepete

It's a sad day when a Rangers fan is happy being behind Celtic. You have a point about being realistic about where we are just now but to be happy finishing behind them is wrong.

10 Jul 2016 13:13:16
Biffo, after were we have been finishing 2nd isn't bad at all. Remember we have no were near the same budget as celtic. Not to mention the extra 15mil they could get from the champions league. Finishing close to them is a massive achievement. Beating them to the title would be potentially be the best moment we've had in a long time.

10 Jul 2016 19:50:48
Onlyshowaround

I take your point however my point is that we should never be happy finishing behind them no matter the circumstances. I was talking to an Aberdeen fan recently and he was boasting about being the 2nd best team in Scotland something no Rangers fan would do.

10 Jul 2016 19:55:41
I dare say it would be the best achievement By ANY rangers team, certainly in my lifetime, but i believe it will happen.55.

10 Jul 2016 21:12:25
I think this season we will have a good chance to win the Title. We were 10/ 1 when we got promoted now we are 9/ 4, Hoops were 1/ 12 now 1/ 3 so fans and bookies think our chances have improved with the signings we have made thus far.
We don't have European Football which should help us and they have to adjust to new managers methods and style of play whereas majority of squad have already worked with the manager for past year.
The pressure will all be on them and I for 1 think we will be thereabouts especially if we can start season well like last season.

{Ed001's Note - the bookies odds are based on money laid down, not how likely they feel it is.}

10 Jul 2016 09:28:32
If I was a betting man, which I am, I would put a tenner on Bradshaw joining RFC for about £800,000

He fits the profile, 23, fit and proven goalscorer - scores a goal every other game.

10 Jul 2016 11:02:45
I like tom bradshaw also mate but according to warburton the striker we're signing hasn't been mentioned by the media yet so that's why it probably won't be him.

10 Jul 2016 11:19:29
Agree with warb15 have been told the striker hasn't been mentioned so it's not going to be him.

10 Jul 2016 23:27:38
I'd put a tenner on with you we won't spend 800k the way we bid for players now is unreal if they are worth say a million we go in with bids like 200k becoming all to predictable our bids for players are an insult to other clubs.

10 Jul 2016 00:45:52
Manchester United have agreed to pay Paul Pogba £11m a year and are ready to make a £100m offer to Juventus for the France midfielder, 23.

Missed a trick there, I think he would have loved Ibrox on a cool Saturday afternoon.

Haha, owners of MUFC must be loving it with all that money from sky and B. T!

10 Jul 2016 09:34:18
Money does not necessarily buy you success, it is good to have, but above all you must have passion and a will to win.

I think we have seen what too much money has done to the English game the way the England Team capitulated to Iceland.

The very good foreign players make the ok English players look better than what they really are.

10 Jul 2016 09:56:28
Would he be getting a game ahead of barton rossiter Windass?

10 Jul 2016 16:11:45
He'd be a squad rotation player I reckon. Haha.

Money can buy success, not always in sport though.

I am looking forward to seeing the changes in some EPL teams next season.
