At least we are "improving" last 3 games no defeats!

Honeymoon over?

Does this standard remain acceptable or are the board really expecting a full house at the weekend after this pittyfull display?

Believable2 Unbelievable1

10 Mar 2015 23:25:53
The display on the peak has absolutely nothing do with the newly formed current board. Give them time FFS!

Scotty here here mate, ime begining to think some people do think rome was built in a day

Agree1 Disagree0

10 Mar 2015 22:37:46
Thought the one positive from tonight was wee Tom Walsh think he deserves a chance looked a direct livewire with nice touches and a good turn of pace also (vukcic is a class above every other player in a blue Jersey) such a shame

Believable4 Unbelievable0

11 Mar 2015 01:14:02
Calm down mate many thought Dale Gordon was had a good debut a long time back. let's give the kid till end of the season till we judge him. One thing for sure he will loose his positve energy under the current team management. If it remains the same.

Agree0 Disagree0

11 Mar 2015 01:24:26
azzlee the wee man had a good game the whole team looked so unfit and as for boyd why are we perservering with this carthorse beggers belief give the rest of the young boys a chance

Agree1 Disagree0

11 Mar 2015 02:45:12
Zodiac here here mate your on the money, in regards using the youngsters.

Agree1 Disagree0

11 Mar 2015 08:03:20
Zodiac seems like everyone else bar the current management team can see that we need to freshen the team up with youngsters

Agree1 Disagree0

11 Mar 2015 11:39:58
Azzlee my honest thoughts on our current plight are that no manager wants to be the guy that held back our premotion, I think walter smith will be brought in short term, but if we don't get promoted, he will stat next season in an atempt to steady the ship, plus running another year down on mcciness at aberdeen, then the board eill move for him, cossting less in compensation.

Agree1 Disagree0

10 Mar 2015 21:56:05
Right NOW it's time to get a new manager in, or somebody that's got a clue, we're a disgrace, it's unreal, no class, no shape, and no bottle, he changes the team every single week, king get the finger out and get Walter smith back for the rest of the season, it's EMBARRESSING being a Rangers supporter, a canny wait till that whole teams gone!!

Believable4 Unbelievable1

10 Mar 2015 21:50:34
Great result - no defeat!

"A draw from the jaws victory"

One goal for big crowd!

honeymoon over - board must take action now - simply unacceptably gone on too long!

Believable3 Unbelievable1

10 Mar 2015 19:18:52
does the manager still have to play the Newcastle guys if fit first surely not?

Believable0 Unbelievable2

11 Mar 2015 09:04:56
bongo why not I bet unfit newcastle players would put up a better show than the unfit monkeys we are playing now

Agree1 Disagree0

Bongo: I think it might be a good idea if that WAS the case, even if not fit lol.

Agree1 Disagree0

10 Mar 2015 21:46:56
Very disapponting yet again tonight. Can the board also suspend most of the first team please.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

10 Mar 2015 21:55:08
Mark my words I can see us slipping out of the play off places. Change has to be made RIGHT NOW

Agree3 Disagree0

10 Mar 2015 22:42:33
They should start by suspending McDowall 3 wins out of 10 and not interested in doing the job. If the new board are serious about getting out of this league McDowall must go immediately

Agree1 Disagree0

10 Mar 2015 22:47:20
The board need to come out and be upfront with the support they either get someone like Smith in for the final games in order to try and get promoted or they come out say there are keeping McDowall and don't want promotion

Agree1 Disagree0

10 Mar 2015 21:44:54
We need a clear out now we ain't going up this season sick to the back teeth of mcdaftdy picking a team that can't even beat anyone when is this muppet gonney realise he has to walk now

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Agree1 Disagree1

Don't do walking away, what about walking the plank. Was there and we were ok with good flowing football just unlucky in hitting the bar twice and post once.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Bt61 although I sort of agręe with you, ime mega confident that if mr smith had been in charge at the start of the season we would have been promoted.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Mar 2015 21:20:49
So much for the crowd lifting them. Take the Anderston crane to lift these warmers . .run out of expletives for this shower. No creativity, no pattern, no change from last 6 months. and PLEASE don't say if be different if McCoist was still there!

Believable2 Unbelievable0

10 Mar 2015 19:41:05
ok stupid question time - What's up with Temmpleton now??

Believable1 Unbelievable0

10 Mar 2015 20:46:33
There's a possibility he could have had a good game.

Agree1 Disagree0

10 Mar 2015 21:36:53
Probably in the cupboard that mccoist put him in, thus his cramp issues, or maybe kmcd does not know him. The situation with our team management [ ha!ha!] is a joke and the sooner they are no longer in the employment of the club the better.

Agree1 Disagree0

10 Mar 2015 21:39:19
McDowell dosen't like him.

Agree1 Disagree1

10 Mar 2015 22:45:05
Maybe we should play him at centre half can't be any worse than the 2 currently playing there or the 4 centre halves that finished the game as the back 4

Agree0 Disagree0

11 Mar 2015 09:11:54
wee bill temps was told by mcoist at the end of last season that we don't play with wingers so why o why did he buy him then very strange but in hindsight coming from ally not really

Ed looking for a bit of help if possible.
I bought me, my missus and my kid tickets for tonight game but I couldn't get down to pick them up today as I was working :'. Will the ticket office still be opened about 6.30?
I was a season ticket holder until last year and never be in this situation. I also read somewhere that the ticket office is closed after 5 so I'm hoping it's open a bit later on March days.
Thanks for your help.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - I have no idea, in a normal situation you would expect the ticket office to be open, but Rangers are not in a normal situation!}

10 Mar 2015 19:04:13

Believable2 Unbelievable5

10 Mar 2015 21:45:00
How about getting away from the idea of taking other teams better players and concentrate on producing our own?Would love this to be the lasting legacy of our mistakes of the past.

11 Mar 2015 07:16:22
Although cerzniak was outstanding against Celtic at the weekend I don't think he is a great keeper and at 31 only a short term fix.

Believable0 Unbelievable1

10 Mar 2015 17:26:22
There was one passed at the AGM in December but its only open to existing shareholders. I'd guess it will be done soon we will need plenty to fix our Club.

Believable2 Unbelievable4

10 Mar 2015 17:14:53
Lots of managers haven't signed new deals, doesn't mean they are coming to rangers mate. Alough I reckon mcinness would a good manager, he has built a good team up thete!

Agree1 Disagree0

Yes, would like McInnes, think he would come especially if we get up this season and having money to spend, that he doesn't really have at Aberdeen.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Mar 2015 13:30:20
the next manager. who will it be?! cathro has said his first job needs to be a challenge, also he wants to work at a English-speaking club. well rangers would be one hell of a challenge big man, and we do have some fantastic youth that cathro would work into top players. to me it seems like the best place for him?

Believable3 Unbelievable1

10 Mar 2015 13:45:43
Would like Cathro in but am still holding out for McInnes. I'll be honest in saying that I don't know too much about Cathro and only first heard about him when the supposed initial approach was made in January. The fact that he is working at Valencia in one of the worlds top three leagues is pretty impressive IMO.

I like the idea of Cathro along with a Technical Director (possibly Magath), but same applies for McInnes.

Agree2 Disagree0

10 Mar 2015 14:47:51
Don't care who it is as long as he does well. New manager will need time not to be treated the way people at rangers usually are.

Agree1 Disagree0

10 Mar 2015 15:07:01
Unless the new guys know all bout cathro and have seriously contacted him its very unlikely, unless the guy is a big fan, I knew about cathro thru reading about him a few years ago, he would be a fabulous achievement IMO, but I'm doubtful, I hope it could happen tho

Agree1 Disagree0

10 Mar 2015 15:48:01
I'm very doubtful he'd come to us, I reckon he'd prefer a team like Everton or Spurs, he has the potential for that kind of job, so I don't see him coming to us, but he wants to come back to the UK that is very obvious, he is also very much linked to us so talking about the possibility can't be a bad thing. he is 28 years old and is already highly rated in the coaching side of football, he has many years ahead of him so he might want to start his career as head coach/manager at rangers? you never know. but it will most likely be McInnes, I'm not saying it's a bad thing, I think he's done great at Aberdeen, but I'd much rather have Cathro, he's a man for the future.

Agree1 Disagree1

10 Mar 2015 11:44:14
Can everybody tell me what's up with the other Newcastle players we have on loan injured? and if so why did we take them funk sake

Believable2 Unbelievable0

10 Mar 2015 12:02:09
Probably some kind of tax manoeuvre by Ashley.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Mar 2015 13:49:46
It'll definitely be to Ashley's advantage to loan them out. He won't give a flying f*** if they are injured or not

Agree3 Disagree0

10 Mar 2015 11:00:06
Yesterday McDowall is saying he would like McCoist back today its Smith, guess what McDowall you new employers will decide who comes in, what motivation can the players (I use the term loosely) have when the current man in charge is acting in this manner.

Believable2 Unbelievable1

10 Mar 2015 12:38:12
He didn't say that at all. Did you watch the interviews? These players wage packet should be enough motivation for them stop blaming Kenny, most people on here wanted ally gone n Kenny in charge lmao

Agree2 Disagree3

10 Mar 2015 10:53:40
Would really love if we could get lan cathro really think he could do it for us but I just don't think he's in the boards plan for the future or am I wrong what does everyone thing

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Agree0 Disagree1

10 Mar 2015 13:14:54
Cathro wants a challenge, and also wants to be head coach at a team, he hates being second best at Valencia, ally gets 850k a year, cathro gets half of that. football is a funny old game is all i'm saying.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Mar 2015 21:54:38
Can everyone just take stock of the current situation and think things through before spouting random views on Cathro. Granted the man may well be respected as an up and coming coach but at present that is all he is. The guy is still learning his trade and doing things the right way. He is not at this stage experienced enough to handle the pressures of managing rangers or the expectations of our fans and the a Scottish media. We need an youth minded coach yes, but they must be experienced. Cathro is one for the future, not now.

Believable1 Unbelievable3

10 Mar 2015 09:50:49
All this talk of new managers new players
There is far more important things to be worrying about
The wages need paying the tax need paying as does a nomad to be appointed
Its not going to be as simple as new manager new players

Believable2 Unbelievable2

10 Mar 2015 10:04:12
So where would you start then (plonker) considering it is all about entertainment and the team on the park (finally) at the end of the day?

NOMAD - Nothing can be done until due diligence is performed on the club/companies books.

TAX & WAGES - Do you really think that King and Co won't be on this? They have fought long and hard to be in control and will have a plan of action with available finance in place and the next wage not being due until two weeks from now.

The fact that we are talking about interim managers here shows that the board realise that we have to place an emphasis on advancing into the top flight. More TV revenue, more money per game and a more engaged fan base. I would have thought that was common sense.

Agree3 Disagree1

10 Mar 2015 11:16:36
Plonker. Aptly named.

Agree1 Disagree2

10 Mar 2015 15:15:54
The men who have put their money and reputations on the line will more than likely be aware of anything you can bring up m8, bit silly of you to come on here and tell us all what is important, you ain't the font of knowledge here, we all know what our priority's are, however Mr King has said a decent team to follow is also important, why? Because he know we are still in the entertainment business,? Without that he will fail, unless your a better businessman than the new owners?

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Mar 2015 18:54:38
Ashley's 2nd £5million will be used up by seasons end, so £10million owed & merchandise sewn up & remains top creditor who holds the aces financially. DK stated hadn't seen any financial figures before takeover which sounds strange He's off to South Africa & no financial blueprint has been shown, so where is his money all mouth & wants OPM to be the cash cow I.e fans.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Mar 2015 15:20:46
What? Why u been using that moniker for years? U have been totally unsupportive of good men who have put their money and reputation on the line for a long time, I take it when these guys succeed in saving Rangers u will come on here and admit you were wrong? Doubt it, they have already banned llamass, leech and sleazedale pending an investigation, the jobs being done right, do u not like that?

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Mar 2015 16:35:54
I absolutely would tommy, but it isn't going to happen, so I don't need to worry about it.

I already offered a bottle of malt for George to wager with me about how much King would put into Rangers, an offer he saw fit not to take me up on, never mind match.

King doing it right, you mean like putting Chris Graham on the board?

Laughable.

Agree2 Disagree1

10 Mar 2015 22:04:23
Disinterested, I too am cautious of the new dawn, however that is cautiously optimistic. The new board have stated they intend to be open and honest, that is what I have been craving for years and they have ridden that cause to the seat of power. My concern is that whilst their intentions may initially be good, financial dealings are often shrouded and usually subjective.
I will not throw my weight behind the new regime until the answers of our past years are laid bare. I want the whole truth, regardless if they think the fans can handle It or not, it's our club and we deserve to know.

Nick H

Agree0 Disagree0

11 Mar 2015 08:59:25
Nick H, that is an honest and wise answer.

If King comes up trumps then I will definitely apologise on here in full, but I don't see it, and since he has a track record of doing things illegally and lying about it, then it makes the level of proof even higher for me.

He may be saying he's going to be transparent, he could start by showing us the deeds, that would instantly get my respect.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Mar 2015 09:02:43
Good morning, I see every name under the sun getting linked to being our new manager/coach, just wondering if anyone knew anything about Mark Warburton previous clubs etc, if he has any knowledge of the lower English Leagues as when you watch the lower leagues there are some decent players down there and let's be honest I think that's the kind of players we should be looking at as the days of big name players coming to Ibrox are over. With Davie Weir at his side with the knowledge of our club I think it could be a good appointment, also most importantly I don't think he would be on mega money. NO MORE OLD PALS ACT. RTID

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Brentford was his first real managers job! He worked at the academy at Watford, he also travelled around Europe's top clubs watching them train out of his own pocket, if rangers want a coach to nurture the young players at murray park he is probably are man

Been a while since I posted. We now look like moving in a better direction. A chance for fans to start coming back and injecting both atmosphere and cash back ino the club. Please, please, please do not ruin this by taking a failed management taem back into the driving seat. Far too much mention from McDowall of McCoist and Durrant. I fear any appointment of this nature would result in a few fans staying away. Time for us to move on and forward.

Great news on changes at boardroom level after EGM. However I really think we need a management change immediately. McDowall has been totally hapless and we are in severe danger of giving Hibs a real run at playoff spot which is dreadful considering the way the table looked a couple of months back.

Hard to believe the form could have worsened but if the 4-0 hibs embarrassment followed by our fearful negative surrender to the dark side followed by several blundering performances is not evidence enough then I don't know!!

Tough job ahead but hope the board make a good decision and I agree with some other posts it may be an idea to get a short term experienced appointment in to try and get us to playoffs as with current setup we will not do it.

Hopefully the future is bright because our current team's sh$$$ :-)

Bigoted or other inappropriate comments then I shall be looking into this and making my feelings known to the board. We need a strong ethical board, no more distractions away from the football.
