Use our rumours form to send us rangers transfer rumours.

10 Mar 2017 18:52:03
We are expected to take a hiding on Sunday so why not just go out and try to enjoy the game. Even a defeat in the right manner will be acceptable so hopefully they put themselves about and soak in the occasion.

The atmosphere will be volatile and I hope our players enjoy it and rise to it rather than shy away. It's a chance to prove to the new manager they have the bottle for these games.

10 Mar 2017 21:56:26
Dawson a understand where u are coming from but u no aswel as me and the rest of us bears anything can happen on derby day yes on paper £&;@ic should beat us but every time u put a coupon on it also looks good on paper then it's so never say never

11 Mar 2017 02:45:38
Exactly. That's what mean, kind of. They should go out and play without fear and enjoy the occasion.

11 Mar 2017 13:19:08
Lw, I don't get that? Any professional should go out and enjoy and play without fear every week. Playing in front of 50.000 fans and getting paid fortunes what is there not to enjoy. Try 40 hours a week lifting bricks or plasterboard.

11 Mar 2017 16:56:55
That's a very naive point of view, Lance. You really don't think there's any pressure on football players. Some handle it better than others. I for one wouldn't have the bottle to play in front of thousands of fans who pin their hopes on me.

11 Mar 2017 17:26:21
Well they should not be playing football if they can't handle pressure. Pressure is paying your rent every week keeping your kids fed and watered. Naive? Your having a laugh.

11 Mar 2017 20:25:28
We have Kiernan and you have Ambrose. Neither of them handle the pressure well at times. Both are pros. If you have a good manager these players can learn to cope better. Football players aren't superhuman.

11 Mar 2017 21:23:30
No they are just rubbish lw nothing to do with pressure. I have been to many Scottish finals in my sport played great some years played rubbish other years but I enjoyed every minute of them and I'm not getting paid anything. The bigger the crowd the better you should perform, what a life these guys have.

11 Mar 2017 21:06:39
I'm sorry have to disagree, form really does count, that is a complete fallacy, when Rangers did 9 in a row, and when Celtic was at its worst, how many games did Celtic win?

11 Mar 2017 21:12:11
Well said lance as that's exactly what i do for a living. i would give up 1 of my kids to play in this game tomorow 😂.

11 Mar 2017 23:05:59
Ha ha bluedie, which one would you give us lol. Guys wherever you are watching the game stay safe and have a good day.

12 Mar 2017 11:38:32
Memaself, apart from the 9 season the old firm games wer a mixed bag. we only won 1 OF game in the 8 season and selik halted our 44 game unbeaten run at Ibrox in the 7 season. yes we won more than yous but ud b surprised that it wasnt that much more

10 Mar 2017 18:29:52
Alex Neil just sacked from Norwich, manager who is now free knows Scottish game and the demands of an old firm team . Tactically very good. Takes no shite! Obviously not went well this year but I think he would be a great choice over Pedro. Seen Pedro on youtube bigging up Celtics 4 in a row. Called Celtic his brothers?

10 Mar 2017 19:51:21
"Bloody Hell".

3 1/ 2 yr contract offered for Celtic Bro and we will no doubt "pay" to get out in due course?

10 Mar 2017 21:51:33
We have Pedro. Give the man a chance!

10 Mar 2017 22:40:29
Alex Neil? You couldn't get a bigger Sellick man let's give Pedro a chance.

10 Mar 2017 22:22:49
So if Pedro is on £800k a year and has a 3 year contract if Rangers decide to get rid of him after 1 year its going to cost £1.6 mill. What a total gamble giving this guy 3 years. BR at Celtic is on a 1 year rolling. Pedro deal will probably go wrong.

10 Mar 2017 22:29:27
Get a grip guys! He said this because the mexican team he managed at the time formed a link up with celtic, that's it, pure and simple! Our new manager pedro caixinha's allegiances without doubt will now lie with the blue half of glasgow! let's get right behind our new manager instead of listening to the media all the time trying and with some of our fans, achieving, to turn us against caixinha! Stop looking for faults and get behind the guy!

10 Mar 2017 22:53:50
Pedro worked for there feeder club he's not exactly going to slag them, I've got to admit the amount of flak he's taking from our own is scarily unbelievable. damn, next you'll be out with the peta sheets because he likes bull fighting. honestly can't believe some people don't want to back him because of his past. give it a break and support the team.

11 Mar 2017 00:26:52
Get him and King gone. A huge joke being played here

11 Mar 2017 02:47:06
Rodgers has a rolling contract because HE wants it, not Celtic.

11 Mar 2017 04:25:39
All recent Celtic managers are employed on a one year rolling contract. My word, never thought I'd see the day when you boys would say a defeat to Celtic would be acceptable. Happy times indeed 😜

11 Mar 2017 10:51:21
Brendan65, how could we complain if the teams goes out and gives it everything and shows the right attitude bits just comes up short? We're realistic Celtic are better just now and we need to rebuild. I reckon you want us all to demand victory just so we get down about it if we lose.

11 Mar 2017 13:55:26
Can't believe the new manager is getting judged before he's even seen the team. If some fans have made there minds up already God help the man if he gets off to a bad start. Its time some of our fans showed a bit of patience or no manager will get a chance to get a team up and running.

11 Mar 2017 14:45:33
Brendan65 is spot on. This team is not a patch on the one with Larsson, Hartson etc and there's no way they would have had such a chronic effort at the CL. They are beatable and this might well be the one to bring them down a few pegs.

11 Mar 2017 15:28:10
Do any of you actually understand how a 1 year rolling contract works? If Celtic ever need to get rid of Brenda then they'll need to fork out in the region of £2.3M! As for this p*sh "Celtic Brothers" Pedro Caixinha was at Santa Lagunas when he posted that video, a club who had a mutual sponsorship deal with a sports company AND former Celtic player Mark Crosas played for them. so do you think this was Pedro going out of his way thinking, I'll post a video about a team on the other side of the Atlantic or maybe just maybe the sports company saw it as a marketing ploy to tap into all the celtic supporters' giros?

11 Mar 2017 21:15:37
My god a portugese guy praising selik 2 years ago, get over it. it isn't exactly Mo Johnston proportions is it? The dhims will never get over 1 of there own doing that to them that's why there desperate to try and rub our noses in it that a foreigner with no previous ties to us said something like that.

11 Mar 2017 22:07:37
Fair point Mr Dawson and well put. Could be interesting seeing as you're boys can maybe play a free type of game as nothing to lose

10 Mar 2017 18:16:41
i hope Caixinha brings in a Scottish No 2 to help settle him into our Scottish game. Although he is an unknown quantity in the UK I'm happy to give him my full support until we get to know what and who he is. I think he may lean towards a few European signings, i don't think that would be a bad thing.
My preference for assistant manager would be Neil McCann, assuming he has coaching badges, if not then big Lee McCulloch.
I believe the new boss is bringing in his own coaching team, not a bad thing.

10 Mar 2017 18:42:03
Im sure he's bringing in his own assistant mate in Helder Baptista. if not i'd like to see wee Barry in there, definitely not lee mcculoch, iv never gotten over him walking off the park at half time laughing with fat Commons when we were already 2 down against that mob.

10 Mar 2017 18:45:22
He's had the same no.2 at all his clubs I believe.

10 Mar 2017 18:51:46
Local no 2 its saying its got fergie written all over it

10 Mar 2017 19:52:25
Alex Neil?

10 Mar 2017 21:59:33
Wee bil I would love to see McCann bak and yes he does hav his badges a remember him saying on sky a while bak

10 Mar 2017 16:12:30
What has kept us together as a support and a club is the focus on getting back to where we belong. let's not forget what got us to where we were. The club almost died for reasons non football related. Financial mismanagement and a hatred for the club by others. For 5 years now the support has stuck together and more or less united in most of the opinions.

So why are we in danger of allowing the bias press to split us now. Give the new manager a chance. Who cares about comments made on a video. He was only speaking on behalf of his own club.

The Board got their man. They didn't knee jerk into appointment after Warburton. For whatever reasons the new manager was their first choice. let's unite behind the guy and let's unite behind DK and the board. don't let the other mob divide us. We are Rangers.

10 Mar 2017 16:47:31
Yeah, still not sure on DK, but I do trust the rest of the board. I will always support our team and our manager hell i was one of the stupid minority who still hoped Ally could get us out of the hole we were in.

10 Mar 2017 18:24:35
What's the problem with DK that you don't trust?

He has approx 13% of the shares so has to work with the other board members that you DO trust?

What you are saying is that you trust the other guys to allow DK to do whatever he wants and they allow him to do it?

The whole board is fully supportive of the current plan. it's a board plan, not a DK plan

10 Mar 2017 17:46:30
Well said bluevoice. Let's support the team and the manager as always. I've heard he is absolutely delighted to be joining us and can't wait to get started. Don't know if the dark side would be too chuffed if Pedro did his Linford Christie up the touchline with his jersey over his head every we score at their midden in the future. Would absolutely love to see it mind you

10 Mar 2017 19:04:00
Well said BR65. DK didn't need to take this seemingly thankless task on and only did so because he felt the same way most of us did and do in not wanting to see a 2nd rate team he's supported since childhood. Yeah he's not the majority shareholder by a distance and doesn't have oil money behind him and he's risked where he didn't need to and yet despite his heart being in the right place too many fans won't cut him slack. We're lucky to have a Chairman who's a true fan.

10 Mar 2017 22:01:03
& Halliday?

The midfielder is a true fan as well - no worries about him .

11 Mar 2017 06:45:40
Bluepete- the Yorkshireman was real smart, the only reason he brought in Ally was to get in season tickets sales. Unfortunately Ally carried on thinking how great he was, he needed money after his divorce, the guy still hasn't a clue and carries on with stupid comments

11 Mar 2017 02:42:34
I have no worries about Halliday despite the sarcastic comment however I'm starting to worry about Mr King. The blind trust of our supporters are allowing him a free run and I'm not sure he's up to the job.

11 Mar 2017 13:44:18
I don't think anyone is having a go at King we were all pleased to see him take some form of control but there's one thing you seem to keep missing BR. our PR/ media are silent on the direction of our club and have been since King came in
The problem with this is we've come through the lies and deceit of White and Green and need honesty and transparency. this is the third time I've spelt this out for you. don't you get it?

11 Mar 2017 13:53:35
Absolutely no worries about Halliday. tries his best. if u don't think he's good enuf fine but we're not exactly bursting wi replacements. give me a team of Hallidays on Sunday.

11 Mar 2017 21:18:27
I know we all have differing opinions on Ally but for what its worth i just can't have a bad word spoken of the man. to me he'll always b SUPER and my all time hero. people go on abt the money we paid him but that's not his choice and i think he made us plenty of dosh with his goals that won countless titles therefore getting us CL football. Leeds Utd anyone? Vladikavkaz?

10 Mar 2017 16:11:42
Just wondering what you all think, but with seemingly nothing much to lose on Sunday would it be such a bad idea to play a 4-2-3-1 with Dodoo McKay and O'Halloran in behind the striker? On wider longer pitches like Ibrox and Parkhead the pace on the wings with wee Barry more central could cause them all sorts of problems on the break.
Very unlikely for this to happen but just wanted your thoughts lads.

10 Mar 2017 17:58:33
Pace is a great asset to have. Remember Big Eck used to frighten the crap out of them with a front three of McCann, Caniggia and Lovenkrands. McKay looks to be the only one with that sort of class so would probably say no in this case. Maybe 2 from 3 would be the answer. My team would be Fod, Tav, Wilson, Hill, Wallace, Toral, Halliday, Holt, Hyndman, McKay and Miller. I'd flood the midfield and double up on Sinclair as I think he is their main threat. Halliday has to step up and nail Brown with Toral also sitting. Hyndman and Holt could get forward to support lone forward Miller with McKay given a free role just in behind Miller. We need to come quickly out of the blocks, harry and hassle them. Break up play and get the ball forward quickly. Just win Rangers and please shut them up for once!

10 Mar 2017 19:19:46
I agree about flooding the midfield mate crowd out their better players and attack. Walter used the old "stick on Novo with 20 minutes to go to run their arses off tactic" but that was a much different squad we had where we were expecting a result against that lot. Just feel with a bit of pace we could cause them bother but in reflection wouldn't want to tamper much with last week's team.

11 Mar 2017 21:05:02
I don't think Murty will change much, apart from enforced ones. Hope to God Senderos is not near the starting eleven. That would really give me the fear

10 Mar 2017 10:08:57
C'mon the Rangers! Belt it right intae them!
This is your chance to be immortal -
Something tells me Murty will pull this off!
First whistle- right in their faces:-)

10 Mar 2017 11:28:52
Our chances have just improved kiernan red card appeal is rejected. Time for wilson to step up to the plate. Last chance saloon as he has been poor all season. As for 30 million for Dembele. No chance Any decent player would score goals in Scotland as the standard is not good. The time is now for the rangers team to show some fight desire and heart which have been lacking for a long time

10 Mar 2017 12:32:59
Remind me what our goal difference is! With our 1.8 million pound striker

10 Mar 2017 13:14:39
Johnny, you must be fun at parties! Judge Garner next season, hopefully Pedro plays Garner to his strengths.

10 Mar 2017 16:15:36
Could be a long game on Sunday, there is a big diff playing them at Celtic park than ibrox, but you never know

10 Mar 2017 17:59:56
Onlyshow, Johnny G is one of them pal.

10 Mar 2017 00:27:40
On sunday i'd line up with a front 3 of MOH on the left, miller on the right and mckay as a false 9. Before I get shot down. let me explain. Miller on the right because he'll work like **** to help tav with sinclair. MOH because his pace will be a massive asset on the counter and getting into the space in behind. Mckay as a false 9 as if their centre half's don't have anyone right up against them they'll play a higher line. allowing space in behind for MOH and mckay to exploit from deep. Them playing a high line will also congest the middle of the park which will benefit us because we can be very open at times.

10 Mar 2017 08:13:47
4-4-2.

Fod
Hodson Hill Senderos Wallace
Tav Hyndman Toral Mckay
Waghorn Miller

Bring MOH on in the 60-70th minute to have a run at their defense.

10 Mar 2017 08:55:52
Same team as played Hamilton, minus any suspensions.

10 Mar 2017 09:00:59
Still haven't forgiven MOH and Forrester for laughing and joking in the dugout when we were 2-0 down against Dundee. To me it shows they don't care, so should never play for Rangers again.

10 Mar 2017 09:35:58
only, I agree I think the defence would be far more stable in a 442.

10 Mar 2017 09:46:25
We need to keep Senderos as far from that starting 11 as we possibly can. I was firmly on the give the gut a chance brigade but I have seen absolutely nothing from him to suggest he's capable of doing a decent job for us. I'd much rather have Wilson or even young Bates. Through him in to the Lions den see what he's made of but no, Senderos will be ripped to shreds by their forwards if he plays mark my words.

10 Mar 2017 10:20:52
Would go 4-4-2 and Wilson instead of Senderos.
Kiernan is suspended.
Hodson at RB and Tav in Midfield.

10 Mar 2017 10:28:30
Spot on kpblue moh and forester let themselves down badly at dens I wouldn't give them a jersey again.

10 Mar 2017 11:14:55
Ohalleran is not good enough all he has is pace waghorn is better at everything else i doubt the team will change from the Hamilton game and a don't know why any1 would want to either

10 Mar 2017 11:36:49
Wilson0212 i agree. Time to be less predictable. Take a gamble. We are written off anyway. I would man mark and double up on sinclair as he is danger man. Also man mark dembele. Get someone to ensure he has no space to play. Murty needs a game plan which is not predictable. let's show some fight. Every player needs' A' game and 100% effort and commitment

10 Mar 2017 13:19:27
Our defenders can't pick up their men for corners how would they cope man marking 2 of Celtics better players? I hope we do well would be nice to take at least a point off them for the season.

10 Mar 2017 13:34:02
Only change i'd make is the forced one wilson for keirnan, agree that it can't be senderos! Also have a feeling halliday will come back in but hope i'm wrong

10 Mar 2017 15:38:17
A well thought out post, wilson0212!Some very good interesting tactics there mate!

10 Mar 2017 15:28:57
MOH, the guy is a total waste of money. Looks disinterested most of the time either in the bench or more worryingly on the pitch. The most important thing to have on the pitch Sunday is heart and character not skill. Celtic beat us hands down on skill. Murty hopefully will pick a side who play like their luved depends in it.

10 Mar 2017 15:41:36
I think rangers will sit deep and hit on counter with pacey wide players, I'm slightly confident of taking something there is no pressure on Murty or the players as the league is lost already so I can see us stealing it 2-1. miller and hyndman to score.

10 Mar 2017 16:09:55
thats just a joke, you don't now what they where talking about and just because sum1 laughs when their team is getting beat doesn't mean they don't care they are probably bored and one of them said something funny so to say you don't want to see them again because of that is utter ignorance.

for me forrester is one of our more talented players and should be on before halliday he fights for the ball sometimes a wee bit dirty but he also runs at people when he has the ball little bit greedy but so are most talented players.

MOH for me isn't being used in the right way and could be a really good player for rangers if he was used in the right wway

10 mar 2017 16:19:48
id like to think we will go at them from the start as sitting back relying on our defence will be our downfall as our team doesn't know how to do that. also we have no good defenders

10 Mar 2017 18:42:33
James Stirling
Why is it ignorance to have an opinion, you can have your opinion and I can have mine. And mines is they don't have the heart to be a Rangers player

10 Mar 2017 18:53:51
True. You see folk laughing at funerals, it doesn't mean they're disrepecting the dead. Though I can see why some hated seeing them laughing in the dug out.
