Went along and watched ayr utd today since we had no game. Andy murdoch had a cracking game in middle of the park for ayr. Think we all had high hopes for him when he broke through, surprised he's playing championship football don't think he would be out of place in the lower half of spl. Good to see the wee man in action.

10 Nov 2018 20:40:47
How did lawrence shankland play, frustrated blue?

10 Nov 2018 21:07:52
Put himself about, works hard and held it up well. Only had a couple of half chances mate nearly scored first half. Was impressed with ayr they try and play the right way, always on the deck unlucky to let in a silly goal late on.

11 Nov 2018 00:27:06
Shanky is a wonderful player who has a superb goal to ratio. Supercoop - woulc you like to see him at Rangers? I know Swansea are ready to snap him up.

11 Nov 2018 09:49:12
Think as a finisher he would certainly score goals with the chances we mske. Don't think his all round game is quite there judging from yday, boys young though and plenty of time to learn.

10 Nov 2018 17:02:12
I really liked the look of the Spartak right back Rasskalov. Would be a improvement of Tavernier. I like Tav but he is so frustrating. Absolutely no doubting his talent but he does blow a bit hot and cold!

11 Nov 2018 16:42:06
I like the look of David silva to solve our creativity issues.
But the same questions would be asked. can we afford him? And why would anyone at a club like that want to come to Scotland?

10 Nov 2018 17:00:34
Rangers need a shouter with a nasty streak for his own men who don’t come up to scratch? Davis is that person?

10 Nov 2018 17:26:47
Davis isn’t that kind of leader. Naismith is that type of player. Not saying that I’d take him back though.

10 Nov 2018 18:38:35
Davis leads by example through total professionalism, naismith past his best and isn't that guy! Rossiter will give us abit more grit when fully upto speed.

10 Nov 2018 18:52:50
steve davis would definitely add quality its a no brainer can't understand the doubters.

10 Nov 2018 20:00:28
You won't get a player like that cheap, that's why we don't have one. That kind of mentality isn't taught, your either born with a backbone or your not.

10 Nov 2018 20:42:37
Not sure about Davis or Naisy but I agree 100% Ulsterman, that is the type of player we are crying out for. I don’t think we have had the angry / shouter since Barry Ferguson!

10 Nov 2018 21:04:54
I was meaning I would not take Naismith back. I’d take Davis back in a heartbeat. I never said Davis wasn’t leader either, just stating that he’s not a moaner like Naismith.

10 Nov 2018 21:10:05
Barry Ferguson. If only.

11 Nov 2018 00:30:29
Why is Steven Davis not getting a game for Southampton?

11 Nov 2018 10:58:00
2 disagrees for having a young Barry Ferguson back in the midfield? I can only assume you are a couple of jungle jims. If not please come on and explain your reasoning.

10 Nov 2018 17:01:09
Supercooper I have shares in rangers and get no info on transfer targets although I don't know how Motherwell conduct their business I think its likely someone is telling porkies.

11 Nov 2018 00:32:47
Bgate w, i have shares as well ass does plenty other guys on here. what's your point mate?

11 Nov 2018 08:07:24
Goalie, supercooled indicates in previous post that he was talking to a guy who has shares in Motherwell and this guy told him as he has shares he was told rangers interested in their player . that's my point, that just don't happen mate.

10 Nov 2018 16:12:09
I see the doom and gloom merchants are already on slating the team and manager after our FIRST defeat in Europe this season!
The same posters who were decrying out involvement in the EL as detrimental to our league campaign but still wanting to take a cheap shot at a defeat in the same competition.

Onto the game. How can Gerrard be blamed for 2 deflected strikes, a disallowed goal and players trying to be too fancy outside the box leading up to one of their goals? What I would say is that he needs to realise that against decent opposition Flannigan is struggling at left back. Due to injuries we also had limited attacking options on the bench. Let's all remember Gerrard has only had 1 transfer window and it shows the expectations he has given us when we are all disappointed in getting best by a team normally in the CL.

Into the team. As in recent weeks nothing seems to be coming off for the players. No breaks of the ball etc but this is when they need to stand up and be counted and realise they are playing for the famous Glasgow Rangers. Maybe some are needing to be rested - we have played a lot of games and freshen up the squad with a couple of our youth players, especially in Th he attacking areas. You never know we might find a wee gem.
I believe given time we are still in the verge of something special👍
In Gerrard We Trust. Let's Go! #55.

10 Nov 2018 17:17:53
Very true UJ. Look at the table now after today's results. Win our games in hand starting tomorrow and I'm sure everyone would have taken our possible position at the start of the season.

11 Nov 2018 07:55:01
You would have settled for being four point behind them at this stage of the season robbie? You said you're sure EVERYONE would, well not me, I would have settled for two points above them which we would be if we had beaten them at the piggery.

10 Nov 2018 16:11:35
Think it's time to try something new in defence if that's big McCauley fit why now try him and Katic give Goldson a rest and tav needs dropped he skips about that pitch like a big fairy at times doing nothing I'd even think about getting Wallace back in at left back.

10 Nov 2018 13:43:19
Anyone else think that Pena if he can keep himself out of bother and get up to scratch fitness wise could still be a cracking player for us. Didn't think he was as bad as what was made out in the short time we did see him and he scored a few goals could be exactly the sort of player we're missing if Stevie g could get the best out of him.

10 Nov 2018 14:29:03
No chance his first touch was mince our game was too fast for him total passenger! Not to mention nose blowing incident. Need much better than that greasie wee cretin. don't even know why anyone would suggest this wtf.

10 Nov 2018 14:51:46
That's why I stated if he got up to scratch fitness wise therefore he could keep up with the pace of the game.

10 Nov 2018 16:08:06
Not for me treated our club with utter contempt blowing his snout on our badge. don't think he is even capable of scratch fitness whatever that is, guy is far too lazy to get fit . get him off the wage bill. hopefully a team out in Mexico want him but can't see it as he's a total waster and can't even get a game.

10 Nov 2018 17:03:12
3 words -sell on fee.

10 Nov 2018 10:58:24
Just a thought. I think we need to get back to basics, and be 'hard to beat.

10 Nov 2018 12:49:03
Just need to get the belief back, we have the quality to steam roller most teams in our league and get back to the high intensity we started season with.

10 Nov 2018 10:33:40
Would like to see Ross McCrorie given an opportunity at right back. He has good pace and is a natural defender. Would also provide hieght and physicality when dendending corners and set pieces.

10 Nov 2018 10:42:50
His lack of pace would find him out in that position.

10 Nov 2018 11:14:43
Rubbish
He has never shown this before.
He is ok in front of the defence but a liability in the back line -mind you so is Goldston recently.

10 Nov 2018 12:19:39
Goldson is way and far the best centre half we have at rangers! Goldson has been superb for us except for 2 or 3 games! Give the guy a break!

10 Nov 2018 13:16:09
U watched many matches DEEB? if the rest of the team were as consistent as Goldson we would be top of the league far and away our best player. Unfortunately Mccrorie probably isn’t good enough for anything other than what he is now and that’s a sub.

10 Nov 2018 13:47:31
I think if McCrorie was playing regular he would improve. If things don’t get better for him he may have to leave club which would be a pity as we don’t have a great record of bringing through young players.

10 Nov 2018 14:24:59
Can’t think of to many players we haven’t brought through to the 1st team that left us and succeeded somewhere else. People on here used to go on about Charlie telfer and more recently Ryan hardie they obviously were not good enough, if your good enough you will break into 1st team, I’d say the only youngster we have had recently who was a quality player was the kid Brentford got of us for a steal and obviously billy Gilmour who probably would of played games this season. I have to say Mccrorie never stood out for me but I hope I’m proved wrong.

10 Nov 2018 14:31:40
I agree with Arthur maybe even end up going out on loan. I think he's best at being a midfield stopper type but I think he could do a turn at right back.

A wee poll here ED, if you don't mind mate!
As everyone on here knows, ryan jack would always have a starting place, in the rangers midfield for me! The poll is who should play in the rangers defensive midfield role, ryan jack,
lassana coulibaly, andy halliday, jordan rossiter
ross mccrorie or another midfielder? Cheers ED, appreciated pal.

Rangers defensive midfielder poll

10 Nov 2018 12:50:55
I voted Jack but I think Rossiter should be CM and Jack at DM. Rossiter has legs to get up and down (when he's not injured obviously) . Coulibaly needs dropped he's been terrible recently.

10 Nov 2018 13:52:33
If all our midfielders were fit who are ours we would have Jack, Dorian's, Arfield and Rossiter. Bring a midfielder in with a bit creativity then that's a good midfield. Feck Pena might be back soon😭😭. That's just our central slots.

10 Nov 2018 13:53:31
Forgot mcCorrie.

10 Nov 2018 14:20:56
Big Coulibaly missing the game due to a family bereavement. Possibly accounts for the dip in form? Sad news, wish him all the best.

10 Nov 2018 16:05:44
Good to see the 2 most favoured choices are 2 that we own, I went for Rossiter but I hope he and Jack can forge a central midfield partnership.
