Feeling really excited about the Old Firm game but what really excites is the summer.

First full summer with the Chief Scout Frank McParland. "One of the best in the business", according to our manager.

Five permanent signings and a couple of loan deals later in the window. Very exciting.

Next season will be sensational.

11 Apr 2016 21:21:01
Hate saying this but honestly fear the worst on Sunday absolutely dreading it with the way we play think we could get a spanking anyone else feel the same?

11 Apr 2016 22:39:57
No mate, don't agree. It's 90 mins and they have shown as many weaknesses as we have this season.

11 Apr 2016 23:32:36
Thankfully no lol, Celtic only beat the worst gers team in history 2-0 last year.

12 Apr 2016 08:46:58
Even tho we have improved this could still end up a 3 or 4 nil defeat or the same as a win I just hope if we do get beat that our fans do t start there usual crap and skating the team and manager.

11 Apr 2016 19:59:22
Rangers fan in Egypt well done with cup win . PS who is the celeb pjs.

11 Apr 2016 16:40:36
18/ 5 for us to win on Sunday, got to take them odds.

11 Apr 2016 16:21:32
Would like halliday dropped and would give law a run think he would step up to the mark.

11 Apr 2016 16:38:51
I agree thought Halliday actually came into the game more when moved to left back yesterday.

11 Apr 2016 18:53:11
Guy shows a lot more guile than law and won't shy away in a game.

It would appear Nicky Law has run his course and won't be offered a new deal.

11 Apr 2016 15:58:39
Gutted that O'Hal can't play against Selik, you seen with the 4th goal what he brings direct strong, player, taking on players not scarred to go to the bye line, turning defenders, with his pace and direct play, that game would have suited him to a T!

Always 4 games next year against them thou lol!

Thank god its back can't wait till next wk

The Mrs managed to bank some hospitality tickets for us for the game so am suited and booted for Sunday, few drinks, hopefully its a wonderful day for the bears!

11 Apr 2016 14:37:38
I think that the team that started on Sunday will be team to start against Selik.

Its difficult one to stick or play it more safe. here is the potential team starts.

Fod
Tav, Kiernan, Wilson, Wallace
Holt Ball Halliday
Forrester Miller McKay

Or

Fod
Tav, Kiernan, Wilson, Wallace
Law Ball Halliday
Forrester, Miller, McKay

Or

Fod
Tav Kiernan, Ball, Wallace
Holt, Law Halliday
Forrester, Miller McKay

I think we need muscle in the middle of the park, however I would not want to drop holt but, Halliday Law Ball as a middle 3 gives us physicality that we are going to need against Selik and then you have and our back 4 are all big boys as well so gives us a solid core and our front 3 are good on the counter.

Thoughts people?

11 Apr 2016 15:31:02
I think it will be the team that started against peterhead.

11 Apr 2016 15:55:38
it'll be the exact same team as we used for Peterhead. No need to change it but Warburton and Weir need to get the boys fired up for this massively! Personally I'd slightly change the formation so that Halliday and Ball are playing as defensive midfielders and let Holt do his usual running around. 2 in the defensive mid positions could help us stop Griffiths.

11 Apr 2016 16:05:57
The lads will be fired up by the buzz around the game.

11 Apr 2016 16:30:02
Think we will have the tempo, movement and game plan but am concerned by the physicality Selik will bring to the game. We need to man up and while MW isn't going to and shouldn't change the formation we need to introduce pace and strength where we can. For that reason Law and MO'H should be included if fully match fit. That could mean; Fod, Tav, Keirnan, Wilson, Wallace, Law, Ball, Haliday, MO'H, Miller and Forrester. He who dares to do!
Wilson has proved in the past he can deliver at this level and needs to show his true pedigree, Forrester has the arrogance and the nouse to mix it I think, so worth a shot. No slot for McKay in the starting 11 but this should been considered tactical; gauge the pitch and how the ball is running and bring wee Barry on for the second half - unless of course we are 3 - 0 up by then.

11 Apr 2016 16:56:03
MOH can't play.

11 Apr 2016 16:56:18
Ritereg O'Hal cup tied, or we would be a defo starter, and the team u said would be the one that I would start if he could have been include.

For Me a think we should play it safe, Kiernan Wilson at back and Haliday, Ball Law in middle, Bring Holt on after 60 Min.

We must ensure that we do not coned early.

But I Believe, we are a right good team on our day that has been shown, but Selik, they really are terrible.

11 Apr 2016 18:00:32
I think people are making too much of Celtics so called physicality. A don't think there's much between them in that respect. We both have decent sized defenders. If Ball plays him and Haliday will mix it up in the middle of the park and wee Holt gets stuck in every game. Both teams play with three slight attackers so where's this massive difference people refer to. I just don't see it.
Fair do's Broon will run about like a headless chicken as per but a think he could lose it if we keep the ball for any period of time. He will not like that one bit and we Defo have that in locker.

11 Apr 2016 20:13:15
Sorry guys got a bit carried away and lost sight of MOH being cup tied! Isn't it brilliant though to be able to juggle with these kind of permutations knowing they all have their merits ; good, better, best rather than bad, worse, worst. Well done MW! Showing my age I know but takes me back to the days of turning up on a Saturday wondering whether it would be Tommy McLean or Bobby McKean on the wing and knowing it didn't really matter because they would both do a turn. I know we have had better, more accomplished squads in bygone years but there is a unique sense of pride and excitement in seeing this team being rebuilt; a group of honest players demonstrating character, pride in the badge, professionalism and a genuine desire to play for the fans - true Rangers values.

11 Apr 2016 20:34:27
Guys, if we're still in the game after 70 minutes (which I think we will be) they will tire in the last 20 minutes. Despite what they think they are clearly not as fit as us. Watch Brown et al struggle to keep any pace up for a full game and you'll see what I'm talking about.

11 Apr 2016 21:25:47
Look at the most recent game they played against Dundee and that shows what their physicality achieves.

12 Apr 2016 07:47:55
The rason he played that team against Peterhead instead of giving King, O'halloran a start, was to give them experience of a cup final together to prepare them for this game. It will be the exact same starting line-up no doubt.

11 Apr 2016 12:26:06
Some of our midweek games recently have not been on tv as they clashed with champions league and apparently UEFA had a rule banning tv coverage during champions league games. Yet on Wednesday this week during champions league quarter final BBC have live coverage of west ham vs man u. I'm confused- is there a rule, if so how come we have to follow it and English don't.

If anyone has an explanation I'd love to hear it.

11 Apr 2016 13:06:23
I have no idea luigi, though I suspect you've answered your own question. They are Ingerlish and we are not, therefore worth more apparently, to global football than our wee backwater.

11 Apr 2016 13:14:01
the two biggest incomes in football, the English Premier League and the champions League. keep your big guns happy basically. they don't care for smaller teams anymore. they are happy to allow small teams not to have an extra cash income, they'd prefer the very much overhyped, self proclaimed greatest football league get all the attention.

11 Apr 2016 14:00:11
There was something on tv about this . There are no other fixture dates and I'm sure both clubs plus the fa risk a fine for this ( don't quote me lol ) but I'm sure this is the reasons . And I agree, we would not get away with this .

11 Apr 2016 15:31:39
I'm sure the reason they can play on Wednesday is because they are kicking off at 7.00 hence no interruptions at the start! A loop hole If you will! Just something I heard.

11 Apr 2016 17:29:32
I'm just glad to see that it's not just Rangers luigi moans about👍🏻.

11 Apr 2016 18:45:40
I'm so pleased you approve jay. Fair made my day.

Cheers for the other (useful) replies, kind of thought it was because the sfa need to grow a pair.

11 Apr 2016 19:16:22
Only show now that the most watched fixture in the world will be played next season i hope the headless chickens at the s. f. a, demand more money for tv deal, for us smaller (supposed) country.

12 Apr 2016 00:09:15
Luigi it's not games are banned it's a penalty the countries football associations need to pay to uefa if they play a domestic game while champs league game on but when you see how much English football makes the penalty payment / fine is irrelevant hope that helps mate.

11 Apr 2016 17:33:14
The English fa asked for special dispensation , just like they did for the arsenal game earlier in the season, and original asked for it yo be played at 7:45 but were told no but they could play it at 7:00, why? I think uefa are scared that one of the tv company's not broadcasting the champions league ( sky, BBC ) may challenge this rule in court under restrictions of trade / competition law .

11 Apr 2016 09:26:23
Kyle Bartley is in the reserves with Swansea not getting a game contract up next season done a great job with rangers.

11 Apr 2016 11:51:28
I'd take him back. What about someone like matt mills from Notts forest for the cb position he's an old fashioned centre back.

11 Apr 2016 09:25:49
Might be a daft question but will there be much of a price jump in tickets/ season tickets now we're back in the premiership?

11 Apr 2016 10:30:14
whatever you paid this year I'd budget for atleast ÂŁ100 being added to the price for the coming season.

11 Apr 2016 11:24:52
have heard 25-30% increase on last year.

11 Apr 2016 08:51:12
Now that we're back and we've won a cup, what's all this from the bring back Ally Brigade.
I for one say he should stay away this is our present management staff and players moment and he should be nowhere near us, introduce him next season at a game to the crowd but he has had his moments with Rangers and he did walk away.
Think about it the Media would be having a field day and it wouldn't be all about Rangers, it would certainly be all about Ally!

11 Apr 2016 11:05:11
Any club legend should be welcomed back at ibrox.

11 Apr 2016 11:26:44
Exactly Cee. It's absolutely disgusting to think people would not welcome him back.

11 Apr 2016 12:49:02
The guy played a huge part in the journey we've just completed. He won league 2, he won league 1 undefeated. I'll never forget his successful time as rangers manager under the worst conditions.

11 Apr 2016 13:21:30
Again agreed. I'd see through it if this were a Diouf, Flo or Rae type of player. This was no bit part player, this was our most successful striker ever. Blue through and through. A living legend and regardless of recent events should be treated accordingly. I really didn't expect us all to be SO divided on this matter. When I was in the West Enclosure singing SuperAlly, I'm pretty sure the whole stadium was doing the same. Surely that must of been some of you guys too, the ones who are now so against giving the guy a break. Anyway we're all entitled to our opinion.
For me though, he will always be SuperAlly and always be welcome. Thanks for the last 30 years.

11 Apr 2016 14:44:33
He never won league 2 tho, it was the 3rd division.

11 Apr 2016 20:41:26
Go on YouTube and watch a video called the man the fans call super ally. Not the greatest manager but held the club together through terrible times in a terrible working environment and I don't care a bout wages or any other nonsense. Signed premier league players who couldn't cut it playing for a club of our size. The man is our greatest ever goal scorer and always will be an absolute legend IMO.

11 Apr 2016 12:12:53
well i would not welcome him back good player he was and if he had only been a bad manager yes but he was a greedy bad manager who convinced fans to buy season books for profit and supported both whyte and green at the expense of supporters.
