Is there any reason this board selected London for the EGM, apart from pissing the fans and shareholders off!

After all the NOMAD has confirmed this today that the board selected the venue!

This is a sign of complete desperation by them and will prove to be there undoing,

I would advise every shareholder to proxy there vote and avoid posting in case of another "great train robbery" and the mail goes missing! Even if it's recorded this means nothing if it goes missing.

Proxy the vote to either rangers first etc, or go to the louden pub on Friday night the RST will be there to help

Ranger. I don't believe Ashley and co are just sitting doing nothing. these guys are clever people, they're bound to have something up their sleeve. mite be talkin sh, ye here, but what if they lodge a complaint to SFA that king is not fit for purpose could this stop the gem till investigation is done, I don't know. but they'll have something. gary

Agree0 Disagree0

No he's got to be no the board first before the sfa can check if he's a fit and proper person

Agree0 Disagree0

Gary the fit and proper thing won't happen until after the e. g. m. and it has nowt to do with the current board anyway mate, mr king could get control then could be deemed not a fit and proper person, but he would just nominate another to take his place.

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Feb 2015 11:26:39
Gary, don't u know the egm has already been called?, fit and proper has already been tried by them, now the SFA will work on that when and if dk. Returned to board

Agree0 Disagree0

We all know, hand on heart, that he's not fit and proper. He's only popular right now because he's the lesser of two evils compared with Ashley.

Agree0 Disagree0

N5 mr king and the 3 bears are all rangers die hards, they will make money from rangers, not immediately, but will make money eventually, I recon most of us back these people because we know they will run the club, for the support, and not only for profit they will have our stadium full and lots of people will renew books under them, IMHO.

Agree0 Disagree0

I hope you're right, George, but I fear you're not. Being a Rangers-man doesn't always keep their fingers out of the till.

Agree0 Disagree0

N7. The mob running our club have took took took, I wander if they know what a till is eh.lol.

Agree0 Disagree0

Forget all the Rangers diehard shook, all we need is a clinical business brain to run our finances. One attribute that is essential----- honesty. Look at Fergus McCann, he was ridiculed by the majority of us, but he went about his business in a professional manner and showed exactly what is required. Shouting your mouth off is easy but doing the business in a quiet, efficient manner is the answer.

Agree0 Disagree0

Billyb I take it from your comment your backing Ashley.

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Feb 2015 01:51:45
god almight, once agaqin DK is accusd of trying to make money, HE IS A RANGERS FAN, and wealthy as it is, he doesn't need to come home and try to make a few quid, he makes plenty were he is, he already gave rangers 20 million, some people simply don't see the big picture, The man is trying to save his club,,, get it yet??>

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't get it, Tommy. He's using other people's money to get the club. The 20 million he already put in was other people's money. He was part of the board when all the Murray shizzle was going down. He's involved in our 2012 downfall as much as Whyte ever was. He's up to his armpits in it.

But let's put it aside and let's say King wins the EGM, and let's say he gets fit and proper clearance (friends with handshakes in high places). Him and the 3B kick out the Ashley stooges, and look at the books. How much money will they need to put things right?

The 3B have already sunk £13 million into the share buyout.
Ashley's loan, so £10m back to him.
There at least £8.3 million required to reach 1 April in operating costs, and more to get to the summer, say £10m.
£6.5 million to underwrite a share issue.

So we're looking at no change from £50m just to get to the share issue.

This doesn't include:-
£12m to upgrade Ibrox
£10m to upgrade MP - optional
Any sort of player warchest we need - since most of our players (and manager) are out of contract this year, I'd say that we need in the order of another £10m to stay where we are - top of the Ch bottom of the PL. More again if we want to challenge next year.

So the share issue has to come up with at least £20m just to stay where we are, preferably £30m.

The last one raised £22m.

I'm no accountant, but the numbers don't stack up for me. If the 3B have £50m rattling about, WTF where they in 2012 when Green was getting his mitts on us? I know good people who got stung in that 2012 share issue, I'm being straight when I'm scared it's going to happen again. How much of that share issue income is promised back right away to the 3B backers? How much will be left for a warchest or to fix the Ibrox roof? Hee-haw is my opinion.

Call me unconvinced.

Agree0 Disagree0

Dis expat, so that's your opinion, the people trying to get control must have a different opinion, they must think it can be done, they are interested long term, do you honestly think they are looking to lose money, they are investing long term so as they will know rangers will always be in the hands of rangers people, and that will do for me, Ashley would be happy for us to be fighting relegation every season just as long as people are buying replica kits, .

Agree0 Disagree0

We'll see.

Agree0 Disagree0

How yi doin, Unconvinced?

Agree0 Disagree0

Gkk bril mate your post at n15 was unexpected, but made me laugh.

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Feb 2015 15:45:10
Anything has to be better than the shower we have just now. I think that when the spivs are ousted and the ousters outline their plans, more people will invest in Rangers. People like Robert Sarver may be interested in coming on board. First things first, this lot must go. I've already proxied my shares to Rangers First. Bears, I know you are angry and there is a lot of bad feeling around, but please do not go near the EGM. Post or proxy your vote and leave the rest to Mr King. Don't give these shysters an excuse

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Feb 2015 16:03:04
Disinterested, you are wrong, again, DK invested more money into Rangers than the rat Murray ever did, he was shocked to discover Murray was using the banks money to finance massive signings, he then pleaded with the rat not to hand our club over to Popeye, along with Paul Murray and Alastair Johnston they came out in the press to warn us all of this man, the rat ran the club like his own property and made universall decisions, alone, he was the owner, his word was king, now if you think that Dave King and the others don't have some idea of what the costs may be ahead, then you must believe that you have more fiscal knowledge than all these successful businessman,?
If you do then tell us who you are!

ED on a cse just now but always have a look on your site to see what's happening with your club but I was disappointed and don't see the need for the Poll Question yesterday. Of course we should have won more trophies, but maybe you should have at least won one as well. Hail Hail

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - your Ed set the question.}

11 Feb 2015 19:00:24
Bears I've just been round the sites, and I know people have asked about proxy voting, the SOS page has just put up a page telling everybody interested how it is done, so people looking to vote through proxy should have a look.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

BROXI BEAR more like.!!!!

11 Feb 2015 17:01:47
I'd like everyone's thoughts on this. Do that bunch of imposters calling themselves the board have me so wound up about their ways that they are holding the egm so far away from ibrox in order for the shareholders who vote by proxy card can have their votes rigged in favour of themselves? As I e read they go to an independent sanctioner to count. I am aware it's probably impossible for them to fiddle the vote but with this shower of waiters NOTHING can be trusted. Someone put me at ease???

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed039's Note - They can not rig the vote, the votes go to a company called Capita Registrars to be counted and reported)

11 Feb 2015 18:27:44
You guys have got to stop blaming others and take the situation on the chin, move on from the same boring soundbites that gets spouted and deal with reality. The club is in the shit, it has behaved badly towards rangers for years, you feel hurt by it. why has nothing been done in years by you fans? Every other club despises your arrogant ways but your fans still try and say you are superior to any other club in Scotland. Rangers fans are sick of it and most of the country are sick of rangers arrogance. So please stop and give us peace. posting the watp while begging for help

Agree0 Disagree0

Born blue I would urge all supporters to get there vote known through a proxy vote 'like the ed says they can't cheat with votes, the only way cheating could be achieved would be any postal votes that mysteries lay go missing, so let's get this done properly lads, it's the only way to remove the unwanted.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed039's Note - Send your postal votes recorded delivery in plenty of time and track them to ensure they are delivered)

Oh Brenda that's a wee bit strong. I was never arrogant when Rangers were doing well, same as my mates that are Celtic fans are not arrogant towards me because they are doing well. It's not the fans fault the money men have conned us. Same as other boards con fans stealthily. We will shout moan and groan until such times we see an end of this nightmare.

Agree0 Disagree0

Brendan watch that big step down from your high horse. Would hate to see you take a tumble, at your age.

Agree0 Disagree0

Since when did you speak for every club in Scotland Brenda? Being more successful than ALL the other clubs doesn't necessarily mean we're arrogant. The fact you're on here speaks volumes about what you're beef wi the Gers is, but let's have it right that's a tiny Tim complaint so leave the others out of it and go brush they chips aff you're shoulder.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed I see that capita registrars are advisers to sports direct, so is it legal them counting the votes at the e. g. m.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed039's Note - Capita Registrars will be advisers to many companies George, they have also been Corporate advisers to Rangers since before Sports Direct came on the scene, not saying there is nothing in it but an EGM vote is extremely heavily regulated)

11 Feb 2015 16:24:53
I see paul shakletin the few acting as nomads for the board is more or less saying any trouble of the slightest will be enough to postpone the up and coming e. g. m. He even states this will allow the current mob to keep power obviously robbing us for another few months money, I would advise all small shareholders to make sure there vote is giving to some of our groups to act as proxy for there vote, these people will go to any length to avoid be removed, so let's not give them any more time at the club, act sensibly and get them out legally,

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed039's Note - I agree with the RST statement that votes should be sent by post or by proxy, at the risk of sounding like a mother talking to a bullied son ....... just ignore them and dont give them the satisfaction of knowing they have one over us, they seem to thrive on that sort of sick satisfaction ...... they will soon disappear into the sunset and this will all just seem like a bad dream ...... One hopes anyway)

11 Feb 2015 17:11:25
I have said this for a few weeks, give ure vote to a group, don't go near the place, wherever it is, and be wary of plants in place to cause bother, I think this type of people would sink to any level, I hope the trust and bears, king etc take out advertising in the major press to explain exactly how to do this, maybe DK should hold a meeting to allow fans to sign up now? If Rangers fans don't go near it they can't be blamed for anything, do it all by proxy or post,

Agree0 Disagree0

My fear is no matter what steps we take to ensure his egm goes ahead these leaches will do everything in their power to at least postpone it.

I would hope that the king camp have already anticipated this move and have taken the very best legal advice in order to force it through.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed039's Note - I believe that this is the case, my understanding is the King camp are prepared for various scenarios)

Cicsy

King and 3 Bears have had every manner of sh*te to deal with thrown their way so far and I agree with ED and most Bears they will have a tactic ready for EVERY stupid move the board attempt to avoid the EGM going ahead.

They are already commiting business malpractice as the deadline was last Friday and it was by law supposed to be held in 21 days max 17th February.

Basically they know their time is running out they are trying to hold on for every day they can purely to piss the fans and King off, plus every week is another few grand they all pocket.

They will be gone soon

Ed039. Thanks for responding to my post, or rant. This is what it is all about, each of us expressing our point of view. We are all suffering right now and have been for 3 years or more. I acknowledge what you say and why you have said it. The Board should have called the EGM to be held at Ibrox where it would be more easily contained regarding potential trouble. I agree that there is the potential for trouble from a certain unsavoury element of so-called fans but this potential is much greater if the EGM is in London where booze-fuelled fans might descend on the venue. I am like you I'm sure a hard-working, law-abiding citizen. I just think we should unite in our aim to get shot of this corrupt shower of crooks. If we disagree along the way in some of the things each of us say, well that is healthy. Good night Ed039, I'm tired and going to have a wee dram before retiring. Speak soon!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed039's Note - Thanks for your response, I must admit I was surprised by your original post but we all need a result at the EGM and hope that new board can result in a new dawn and move us forward, a chance that was missed 3 years ago)

Doiger and ed, well done to both of youse.

Why is Lee contesting the 2 match ban. He got away with it the week before. We could be doing with the break at the back and maybe we can push the defence a bit further forward. Great servant but substitue at best. Time to mix it up

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Lee is finished now and is part of the problem with the team just now. I don't know why he and others get continually picked despite bad performance after bad performance

Agree0 Disagree0

11 Feb 2015 17:16:53
Contested so he can play on Friday I imagine, think Kenny doesn't think he can trust anyone else, can't see why tho, jig was done long ago, bringing experience, nothing more alas,

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed039's Note - The hearing is tomorrow, if he is found guilty at the hearing he will be suspended on Friday anyway)

Tommy I've only seen this footage once, but the stamping thing would have been quite a hard thing to avoid IMO, and I think lee could win his argument, he never knew his foot was to land on the other player, he was struggling for his footing, my opinion only.

Agree0 Disagree0

Fingers crossed he has to sit it out. Kenny might need to phone someone other than walter for tactics tips.

Agree0 Disagree0

@3 You have to be joking right?

Agree0 Disagree0

N5. No ime not joking, how was he to know where he would his foot would land, Ffs have you ever fell or slid in your life? It must be great known were you would land eh, maybe you could let this auld guy in on your god giving gift, you must fall up the way eh.

Agree0 Disagree0

I see he got his ban and also the big keeper. Clearly Lee needs to go back to tumble tots and practice his falling. The average age of the team might reduce slightly and some new faces for tomrrow night.

Agree0 Disagree0

11 Feb 2015 12:21:22
My biggest worry is that too many Rangers players are just going through the motions. They know they're near the end of their careers or they're making more than enough money, they're wealthy in their own right after great careers. I read about players being unfit, too slow, lacking sharpness.

Going through the motions ain't going to get us promoted and the financial implications of that are disastrous for us. The Newcastle youngsters could help but four out of the five are injured. With little to lose why not promote a couple of youngsters from Murray Park? We need enthusiasm and 90 minutes of energy to replace the current malaise.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Is the football side of things really that important at the moment? We are on the cusp of perhaps the most important decision in Rangers' history. Win the EGM, then start laying the foundations for the future. Then it will be time to look forward.

Agree0 Disagree0

@1

How can you even say something as stupid as that? Would you prefer we stopped playing fixtures until after the EGM? The poster comes on about a football question on a football club blog and you say it's unimportant!

Agree0 Disagree0

11 Feb 2015 14:45:56
I think the players really have to step up to the plate now as we still have a great chance of going up, even via the play-offs. There is still time to save the day and as kfraser says, we need to utilise every asset we have, whether it's the loan players or the kids. The EGM will take care of itself with, hopefully, the right outcome while the out of contract players will see out their contracts and go. I think there are 12? How many would be offered new deals? I don't have any doubt that DK and the 3 bears etc will provide the funding necessary to bring in players over the summer and it would be so much easier if we could offer SPL football rather than championship. I honestly believe that Celtic are not as good as they think they are and with a few players in key positions, we would not be a million miles away. Let's be positive!! Cuillin72 is also right when he says this EGM result could be the most important decision in the club's history, but let's not forget there is still a lot of football to be played before the end of the season. Surely, the team must hit form at some point!

Agree0 Disagree0

11 Feb 2015 14:14:59
@2 It is unimportant right now.You ask 95pc of fans what is more important to them right now, winning the EGM or getting promoted? Both would be good, but its EGM for me.

Agree0 Disagree0

11 Feb 2015 14:59:09
I agree with Cuillin72 the off field issues need to be sorted before the football side is a factor. We are awful on the park, the current board won't bring in a manger and McDowell is just no bothered and neither is the players they probably do have a "whats the point" attitude but no wonder with the way the club is being run.

Agree0 Disagree0

@4

95% of fans? Can you seriously justify that figure as being accurate or did you just pick as high a number as you could?

Agree0 Disagree0

@5

Can't agree that the football is ever unimportant. I do agree that's it's less important than the EGM but the players and management have to be professional and get on with the job. The result of the EGM might not be the one the fans want and it's still important to win as many matches as we can

Agree0 Disagree0

@4

Have you personally asked the entire fan base?

Agree0 Disagree0

I think duke box will need to work with whoever is brought in as he knows the youngsters and I think some of them should be brought into first team now, it was also good to see three of the youngsters getting scotland call up eh.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said Stewie - my sentiment too.

it is VITAL that we get back up to the premier division. Once that has been achieved then we can look further ahead and hopefully under new ownership and money in the bank we can start to look more like the Rangers we all love.

Agree0 Disagree0

Stewie I kinda agree and disagree with you. I would say that the majority of our fan base would say the egm is the most important thing just now. it would mean a line being drawn in the sand and starting afresh. however there are still 10,000 or so fans still turning up at ibrox so that tells me that a minority (25%) still think promotion is first. I personally think we won't get promoted however if king wins the egm I will be going back regardless if we go up or not. realistically I think it would be better to have another season in the championship to give a new manager and new players time to gel rather than get pumped every other week and have their confidence dented. also our fans aren't the most patient so it would give them a bit of breathing space. just my opinion.

Agree0 Disagree0

11 Feb 2015 17:37:12
Simple really Stewie, ten of your pals in the pub,all Bears. Each gives his opinion and you do the math.It gives an overall reflection of where the fans stand.Try it

Agree0 Disagree0

Gkk, For your arithmetic you need two half men as mates! That aside, I agree that winning the egm vote is far more important, as another season in this league would let us build the team that should have started two and a half years ago, but we cannot turn the clock back. I just don't think we will be of a standard to be competitive with 3 or 4 of the spl teams.

Agree0 Disagree0

@12

You and 10 mates represent the entire fan base? Can you also explain how you get 95% from 11 people?

Agree0 Disagree0

Stewie he never counted himself, then just sawed his mate in half, isn't that right Gkk. lol. Lol.

Agree0 Disagree0

11 Feb 2015 19:41:27

{Ed001's Note - ah but the other 15% are correct....}

@7

The original question was 'Is the football side of things really that important at the moment?'

Your reply @7- 'Cant't agree that the football is ever unimportant. I do agree that it's less important than the EGM. '

You have just agreed with my comment, after saying it was stupid. If you looked closely enough, nowhere was it mentioned that it was unimportant. Read things through first lad.

I would rather get rid of all the contracts and start again in Division 2 less painful than what fights that will go on after King removes this board, court battles. appeals the good name of Rangers will still be further ruined with the reporting. Wipe the slate clean go again.

Agree0 Disagree0

Penny arcade you could have a point, maybe this will be mr kings bargaining tool with Ashley, once he gains control eh, he could say to Ashley let's amend these contracts, or you will get nowt,

Morning follow Bears was just wondering is there a time line as to when a new venue for the egm has to be announced and confirmed, and is there any real likely hood of another venue in London being willing to undertake such an important meeting on the life or death of our club as I see it, of course there is the potential for disturbance and not only from some of our disruptive element, decent law abiding fans could be suckered in with emotions running so high, i'm surprised the police haven't had a bigger say in matters on a day when West ham play Chelsea, QPR play Arsenal and Spurs play swansea, the police should be telling the board to steer well clear of the capital. My fear would be that these charlatans running our club (into the ground ) may attempt to move it even further afield.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Soton bear I agree with you mate, I seen a rangers site were they had posted a photo of a hotel on the moon, and although I seen the funny side to it, IDE also say the people trying to ruin our club could certainly afford to fly to the moon with the money they have took from our club, they need to move themselfs, so as we can remove themselfs eh.

Agree0 Disagree0

11 Feb 2015 12:24:31
Hi mate the rules state that prior to EGM the Venue/Time/Date must be communicated to all shareholders no later than 14 days prior to it taking place. With the alleged issues with the Millenium Hotel I believe the board will wait until the very last minute around the 19th of February before announcing the new location. If not the requisitioner can host their own meeting to vote on the proposals.

Agree0 Disagree0

Professor Stewie, I bow to your superior being. It is all about opinions, and I think the football is secondary at the moment. As you possess such intelligence, I challenge you to show me where in my statement I said it was 'unimportant'. Good luck.
