Part of the reason for the low crowd against killie was we wanted reduced prices to attract a crowd but killie said no, as they get part of the gate so ppl refused to pay full price in protest. hurt us but hurt them more, thought they were in for a bumper night plus cold monday and live on council t.v. had something to do with it

I would just like to say the reason for the low crowd last night is down to fans keeping there money for the europen game

Posts like this are so childish and embarrassing. Granted, it was a cold Monday night, the game was live on terrestrial TV, and it's not long after Xmas, so money is tight all round, but I expected a better turn out than 13,000. Or was that part of the demonstration some numpties were on here spouting garbage about? I wonder what Mr Whyte and Mr Ellis thought about last nights turnout. Surely with an attendance of this level the club lost money even opening Ibrox last night. It's not exactly helping ease the clubs current situation playing to a deserted stadium in terms of finance and showing support for the team. IMO the club was badly let down by their own supporters last night and I hope this trend doesn't continue, for the good of the club, we know the club need every penny (hence the excitement over a sell on clause for charlie adams) yet we play a Scottish Cup game, against another SPL team with a stadium 1/3 full. I think the club should prioritise that fans with a ticket stub from last night are given first refusal on tickets for the next round. But as usual there will be a clamour for tickets because its against Celtic, and fans who are willing to sit through cold Monday night games and back the team will be forgotten about once again.

Dont think there is any point in us selling one of our better players to raise money as the bank will just take it anyway me thinks

The bank won't just "take it". . It has been said publically on many occasions If money is raised through the sale of players then Rangers use that money to bring in replacement or strengthen the team, Just look at the summer transfer window, Out Thompson and co. . In Jelavic, Beattie, Weiss, and Foster

I think the bank would look fondly on rangers selling an older player on a high wages (miller, around £22K) and bringing in a younger, quicker, highly rated replacement (Goodwillie, Wages: he'd be offered no more than £7500 - £10K) Can anyone do the math of at least 52 x millers wages, its just over a million. This should be a great bit of business if we throw in Big Webster (Gutted to see him not get his chance, but he's been the most injury prone player I have seen since Daniel Prodan and Oleg Kuznetzov)

Rangers- to the person posing the question - can lafferty fill the void if Miller leaves? - the answer is yes based on his performance against Killie, but the worry is if Jelavic gets injured again the striking options are limited with Beattie yet to find the net. so another striker needs to be brought in.

To the celtic fans laughing at the attendance at ibrox last night.

The multi-story Temple of doom was empty a few games in winter, granted maybe not as little as 13/14k but the Celtic Season ticket holder i am mates with said there has been a couple of midweekers in the league where he reckons the place was a third full.

Rangers wanted (Like celtic do for early cup rounds) to cut the prices for this game as they new BBC had the game live, but it was Kilmarnock who didn't want this as they believed this would affect their gate reciept income. So f* * you Kilmarnock, There would have probably been about 30k at the game with half priced tickets, meaning they would have recieved a higher cut of the Gate. Maybe kilmarnock should look at there own Shocking home attendances and introduce an incentive for people to attend and support their local team, rather than trying to screw other teams out of controlling their ticket prices.

Re: no worries marvin . . then u see the funny side of lennys toothpaste needs. . its only temporary son . . were still the ones that will decide who is top of the league. As things stand it doesn't matter what ur team does same old same old. same scenario as last year . . we don't need money to beat a shoddy shower like urself. Were currently and still will be the no 1 team in scotland like it or not . . . Were the champions . . who are the champions? who has been better this season? . . ahem . . ?
