Any idea who were the trialists in u20 game v Dumbarton an how they got on?

Believable0 Unbelievable1

12 Jul 2015 10:43:22
One of them was Thompson (ex Manchester United kid) I don't know if there was anyone else? Think there was only him. Watched the highlights and think that Ramsay looked good. I would definitely pull Ross McCrorie up for RB as well.

I have no idea, but Dave King portrayed himself as a Rangers man & stated "north of £20m" would be required.

Now WHAT is required is Scott Allan, Kevin McDonald & Kyle Lafferty.

Believable2 Unbelievable12

11 Jul 2015 23:10:03
I believe dave king will produce the goods but spending 20 million in a lower league means paying over the odds for players who wouldn't get a game for us it will be easier to get a higher standard player when we are big where we belong plus the attraction of European football keeps the ball in our court. We don't need anymore of the crap we have just watched over the last few years if we had someone who knew about tactics then we wouldn't still be down here if that person had the fore sight to use youth rather than players that should never been considered for wearing these great colours. So when dave king isn't going mental spending money like a man with no arms look where it hot the man with no legs. Be patient!

Kyle lafferty is terrible, he was bought as potential and he has never got any better.
I would sign him up for the final 6 games of season and that's it!!
Then boot him out.

12 Jul 2015 10:41:16
I agre I don't really see the need for Kyle lafferty to return to ibrox overall the guy was a dud in my opinion

As much as our structure seems to be shaping up, my biggest concern is DK. He has not lived up to his promises. We appear to have a potentially good management team but they need support to give them the tools for the job. Maybe this is going on behind the scenes, but with DK's track record of manipulating the truth, I wonder. Even his the 'debt' of £20million is in doubt. He came into his position with great promise, much of which he has not fulfilled, yet.

Believable6 Unbelievable13

11 Jul 2015 21:54:24
Have to agree with you, it is sadly looking like more empty promises. This was a massive opportunity with a promising new manager but I fear it's slipping by.

12 Jul 2015 08:57:33
My god ,we haven't even played a competitive game yet and still you can't please some people this is a complete rebuild job not a quick fix its not going to happen overnight we got the manager most of us wanted with the reputation of being able to develop and nurture young talent which we all wanted but still there's people who are not happy, has anyone ever thought that W&W might have said they don't need millions to win the championship which to be honest I don't think we do but that's just my opinion,as for DK he may or may not be a charlatan but at the end of the day he is our chairman and I for 1 trust him and the new board 100% more than any of the previous spivs that were there in the past few years,I think in the next week or so the team will start to take shape with a few signings and 2 or 3 loanees (Spurs)I also read yesterday warburton was staying in London to talk to another London club about signing players,so let's get behind the new regime management and the board and support it,I know I am. keep the faith🇬🇧

Agree5 Disagree4

12 Jul 2015 09:14:37
The good thing about DK is that he is very business savvy, in particular when it comes to making sure that Ashley and co do not get one over on him.

The other thing is that it seems that he does have Rangers interests at heart as was seen when he put the £20 million in previously.

12 Jul 2015 19:57:09
billy b how has king and co not lived up to their promises king and 3 bears have put in£8.5 million they have started some work at ibrox they employed some more staff they have new management teamwe are starting to sign playes they have said if it needs moe money fo players its available on top of that they will have to fund next seasons losses and underwrite share scheme I am am no lver of king and his past tactics but he is there now so he has to be given a chance so billy keep your powder dry and give everyone a bit of piece if they don't make a job of it then u can whinge and say u were right so until peace

Further to much speculation, Ian Durrant is still coach for our under 20's team. I am delighted for him as he is the best player to have come through our youth system. If only 1ounce of his ability is passed on we can look forward to some great products. Maybe now that the restraints of mccoist have been removed, he will be able to pass on his undoubted, natural tactical ability.

Believable3 Unbelievable6

11 Jul 2015 21:44:39
What natural tactical ability is that Billy? I'd of preferred a Neil mccann are numan as under 21 coach

Aye billyb, let's spend £20m straight away, where do we go from there? You said yourself, it's shaping up, it takes time. I'm sure if MW needs money to spend on players he'll get it, he's still having a look at what we've got. Give DK a break, will you ever trust anyone that comes in?

Kws630 bud how long do u think it will take to go over what u have? U lot had half a team by the time he took over so in all honesty dk is taking the piss mw wouldv known what he needed by a fortnite plus have u actually paid a fee for anyone I don't kno u tell me plus your league starts in 2 weeks u must b really pleased with all the positives that are happening but do your self a favour don't fall into the same old crap trust him he has a plan look what happened when u lot done that with white then green dave kings a business man first rangers man second fact hail hail

12 Jul 2015 12:42:42
KWS, I would not expect him to spend £20m on new players, but we need a right wing back, at least one experienced 'dependable' mid-fielder and a striker[ or attacking mid-fielder.] with goals aplenty in their cv. Just remember we need them and we NEED them now. As the season develops I think many of the young players will develop under the new managent team but we don't want to be playing catch-up.
Hooly, if you did not appreciate Durrant's talent then fair enough, but if even 5% rubs off, the youngsters will be all the better for it.

12 Jul 2015 20:06:59
if drrant has natural tactical ability so far when he was in the bus shelter with macoist and macdowall it never showed but at least he took a big cut in wages to stay I agree he he has been amongst the best to come of murray park I see u still are not happy with signings so far the bread man and d weir are looking at players all over and will have players in place for the kick off that's why there was no tour this year they plenty funds to do so so have faith

McCullough to sign for killie later today or tomorrow. On several news outlets.

Seems Gers have finally given him the elbow.

Best wishes to him at killie, never the greatest of players but always gave 100%.

11 Jul 2015 14:31:42
It's only a pre season friendly Dunder Heed 88 it's all about fitness and trying different systems. we will see how your team gets on next week in the qualifiers against that pub team. any way why are you on here are you worried that we've turned a corner or are you "Only here to see the Rangers here to see the Rangers " 😜. haha

Agree3 Disagree4

11 Jul 2015 14:42:14
@AllanRFC. No that the point. not the same team, not the reserve team, not the under 18s. but the under 17s!

11 Jul 2015 15:10:30
Jesus don't tell me you actually went out of your way to find out the rangers and spurs line ups? That is just sad. I've never been one to pull out the obsession card but dh88 you definitely have an unhealthy obsession with all things rangers. Can you tell me our next signing you know everything else.

Agree2 Disagree4

11 Jul 2015 15:28:15
I should be consulted first if anybody wants to use Dunder heed 88.I invented it with patents pending.
Matter a fact,just carry on!

Did u miss the part about getting beat by boys barely out of school pal? And am the Dunder heed! 😂😂 and cee the only obsession I've got is watchn the champs lifting trophy after trophy! And as for who your signing next,I'd maybe guess one of the kids from Spurs who just gave u a beating! Haha

Agree2 Disagree4

11 Jul 2015 18:13:24
Is that what's it's come to now? Having a go about pre season kickabouts? You would think Dh88 would have better things to do rather than come on a Rangers site and have a juvenile go about a kickabout. Apparently not though

Good to see one ex Ranger has a bit of class about him and not bad mouthing us the moment the cash cow old pals pension scheme ran dry.

Well done Stevie Smith showing those failures Boyd, Foster and whatever the other one was called . loser. how you carry yourself as a Rangers player both now and in your past plus future.

Believable5 Unbelievable7

11 Jul 2015 09:21:26
Disappointed in Boyd for his comments against the Club, His performances were awful last season & for that he should a bowed out in silence as a mark of respect for the club that made him a millionaire! As for the Foster & Black they were NEVER of a Rangers calibre! Black in particular was nothing short a disgrace on & off the park for Rangers. so good luck to them! at least if ALL them offers from down south he can go back to painting an decorating! pie!

11 Jul 2015 13:18:17
Well said Myles, good business so far. I'm fed up hearing from the same people moaning about how we're not getting anyone in, the same people that were saying we should give our young players a chance. Maybe MW has had a look and can see what he thinks will get him promoted. I'm sure we'll see a couple of experienced players coming in, give the guys time
