Yes FIFA and Mr Blatter are heading there to see if they can offer the FBI some vouchers and holiday packages in the hope that the investigation can be influenced.

i herd the news cathro is coming back to Scotland and left Valencia if he is to become rangers manager then I think rangers have decided to go with the cheaper option that along with king saying fans will have to buy 45000 season tickets to give the manager a good spending budget and currently not investing him self or his other investors doesn't make good reading surely Warburton should be away ahead of cathro in the running and without doubt should get the managers job
Warburton plays good football like to play youngsters has the benefit of knowing the financial market is well respected by other managers and has the contacts to get good young players
i have no problem with cathro he will play youth players want play good football to but does he have the contacts and this would be his first managers job so is a wee bit concerning truth is any these two would be good managers but surely it should be Warburton ahead of cathro king would have a easier sell of season tickets to the numbers he wants if he appointed Warburton rather than cathro fans will have to convinced about him as a lot us want Warburton maybe the reason for king and his investors not investing just now could be down to these problems with Ashley
and they are saving there money to fight Ashley in court over these contracts time will tell as long as we support our team sure everything will work out eventually for one summer hopefully we can concentrate on the transfers manager and the team and let the board sort out rest of mess buy the lions shirts instead of proper ones buy our season tickets forget all this nonsense of demos at Ashley stores we have had enough this before it will not work Ashley will do what he wants just don't buy from him and let king ect take care of him then we will have done our bit and rest will be over to the board

Cathro has been in football longer than Warburton and has contacts in Scotland, Portugal and Spain at least! He is young, a Rangers fan but not part of the old guard. He has helped produce some real quality and knows the game in Scotland. The cheap option is McCall. However, I believe Cathro's back for family reasons and without saying too much I believe they are genuine and that he will be in Dundee with his family for the time being

Sorry to disagree with you craigs8688 but this could turn out to be very good us.
Anything that brings a fresh approach to our club must be better than the old guard of the last few years.
I am also thinking a director of Football will be appointed.
Lets also wait and see who will be above him.
My money is on Felix.
Tomorrow is King and Co's big day to shine.
Shame about MASH stopping certain beans being spilled but I am sure the the truth will eventually come out.

How can you say it is King and Co,s day to shine when according to text on telly King is not going.
how can he fight the good fight with Ashley,s reps from a distance is King running scared of Mash or as some on here will state he isn't going because he can't discuss the terms of the retail deal however surely the loan is important enough to consider his presence. or will Ashley have to call another EGM costing Rangers even more money we can ill afford to spend on meetings and the like. ???

I would think he would be the sort of person they would bring in as a coach with a director of football so can't see him getting the job. Personally I think they have offered warburton the Job but he has another offer on the table so the board are still waiting for an answer. If he turns it down it would be McCall on a years contract. Just my opinion mind.

As John Lennon once said "we're playing those mind games" think Ashley is just trying to scare shareholders into wanting rid of him. He takes court action to prevent the board from disclosing the sports direct deals, share holders think the contracts must be worse than they thought, they panic and want Ashley as far away as the club as he can get and the first thing would be repaying his 5 million. Just my thought on it.
I personally agree with Dave king wanting to keep Ashley's money in the club for as long as the board can. He was a big part of why the club are in its current state. I think King will put his money where his mouth is just not immediately. If he suddenly sticks £20-30 million in the Rangers account Ashley will want his 5 million plus players asking price will probably go up. He is right to keep Ashley's money in the club and pay back when the club are starting to make profits again. I know Ashley holds deeds until he is paid back but so what? Unless Rangers default he can't do much with them! The retail contract of 75 % is also not that bad. The board know fans will not buy shirts until the contracts are negotiated and a fairer deal is agreed so let Ashley have his 75% of nothing! We need to get behind king and the board and let them run the club. With regards to the manager, if it takes a week longer to ensure we get the right man long term then fair enough. If it's McCall then fair enough he's a good manager and loves the club. We need to rebuild and it's only mid June so plenty of time.

Bluesbhoy81. You may be right , the only concern I would have re your argument is whether Dave King could afford to put £20/30m into Rangers . Remember he had to pay in excess of £40m to the South African tax authorities .

Chris02, his net worth is £600million, he should be okay to put n £20/30m

I know but I still think he ha a few bob in the pot for the Gers. I think we all just expected him to say he's transferred x amount in to the clubs accounts the moment he took charge. With regards to people's complaints about trasnsparacy, the board have said before they won't release a statement to the press every to minutes like the previous board. They will update us fans as an when there is news and when it's needed. The way some people go on they want them To announce when they buy some new pens for the office! How many board statements do other clubs release? Very few so cut them some slack and let's see what happens

That's the most sensible post I've seen on here for ages. Couldn't agree more. You're so right, if it's Stuart McCall then fine. I don't have a problem with it. I know one thing - we are in a much better position than we were at the start of the year with the sharks running the club and a couple of clueless managers at the helm. At least now we have people who have the club's best interests at heart. And you're right, how often do you see multiple board statements from a business? Let the guys do their thing and begin the job of getting us back to the big time. I for one will be buying my season ticket.

If no1 buys the kit then rangers need to buy them so his 75% of nothing is a hell of a lot more than u think the club have to buy the shirts we don't sell is that getting thru your skull

Gkk, that is the way it should be. It is fine to put our thoughts through this forum but all of a sudden too many know the ins and outs of the club's business.
My concern is that DK does not have the 'readies' he promised and is trying to bluff a bluffer. At the moment I think that Ashley does not give a toss about the £5million but he knows DK does. Speculation from me, yes, but you can rest assured that the deals in place are totally water-tight and any shortfall in the sales agreement will be met by the board and we are the ones to suffer.
This whole debacle is like a game of australian shoot pontoons and there can only be one winner and it is not us.

Jeezo GKK you are either a heck of a lot older than the rest of us or you spent too much time in the bars of Magaluf with Ian Cathro's faither.
I get the sentiment and share it incidentally but can see our directors having as many columns as the football team - sadly.
Particularly if the football and the headlines don't improve soon.

down in london rangers have 1 person representing them sport direct have 5 people they must be trying hide something with that amount of people there is currently ongoing court proceedings in Scotland as well so the the London one is postponed for little while at the moment

Believable1 Unbelievable5

11 Jun 2015 13:20:37
As I understand it, the case in London has nothing to do with the one down South. If I were guessing I'd say the one in London will be Ashley trying to protect the confidentiality arrangement. Really in a business confidentiality agreement there is very little either party can do, other than to negate the contract, if confidentiality is breeched. However if its backed by the courts it would become a breech of court.

Agree1 Disagree0

11 Jun 2015 14:55:50
Pretty much as I suspected, except Rangers fighting the case, which is why they got stung for costs. The exact contract details must be really outrageous for Ashley to go to these lengths to keep them secret.

I'm pretty certain if Rangers can get it passed at the EGM to reveal the details and go back to the court, with the obvious well publicised and irrefutable links between the directors who actually signed the contract and Ashley, they would get the order revoked. Sadly much too late for the EGM.

You appear to know your stuff, Grundy. Are these confidentiality clauses not share price sensitive, and ultimately illegal?

Agree0 Disagree0

11 Jun 2015 18:12:27
Gkk I was going to say that, surely when your in the stock market you can't withhold information from shareholders.
If it's true about confidentiality, surely a leak would have happened and then everyone knows?

gkk / Grundy;

You have made excellent points. I am not sure how much detail shareholders are entitled to but I would expect that if there is something material that affects the share price eg if there was a big legal action or tax case on the horizon or if an injunction prevented someone doing due diligence prior to a big share purchase, I don't see that standing up.
I don t believe Ashley is worried about £5M to this extent more the legality of his activities.Maybe you have an idea on this; when the RFC accounts are published, the segmentation of income will disclose what kind of deal we have with SD. What does he gain with all this
I wonder what his deal with NUFC is?
