Warburton and Forest have bid £1 million for Jason Cummings. Have we ever really been in for him?

11 Jun 2017 22:23:46
At least he's not going to sellic

11 Jun 2017 22:36:03
No and forest can have him

12 Jun 2017 00:07:00
Hope not. He's not what we need.

12 Jun 2017 07:45:05
Maybe Warburton can be enticed to bid for Kiernan, Halliday, Waghorn et al!

12 Jun 2017 08:17:25
I would be astonished if Warburton went for any if the duds he signed for us. I'm sure he will get a decent budget at Forest and will aim higher than the rubbish he bought for us.

11 Jun 2017 21:23:44
Liam Boyce apparantly has a 500k release clause. Surely he's worth a punt at this price!

12 Jun 2017 09:27:47
That's a year's wages for a £10k a week player, and if you add on his wages, it's a wage for a £18-20k a week player. No thanks, not in a million years.

11 Jun 2017 17:39:10
Anyone know if dorrans definitely coming? I know what's in paper talk but been hearing this for weeks.

11 Jun 2017 21:43:24
By all accounts a lot of sources saying he's coming which i must admit really happy with

11 Jun 2017 23:02:50
Any idea when?

11 Jun 2017 14:53:26
So with all our new signings and the ones nearly there, does anyone still think we need the likes of Naismith and all the other rats that jumped ship in 2012 cause I think we will be absolutely fine without them and that the way things are shaping up they probably wouldn't improve the team anyway.

11 Jun 2017 15:41:43
Think that was always paper talk

11 Jun 2017 16:40:55
Yip! I'd still bite the hand off Norwich for naisy

11 Jun 2017 17:54:46
Bear, time to move on - what happened in the past happened. if any of those guys came back and improved our fortunes they should be given a heroes welcome

11 Jun 2017 18:40:05
BR65. Time to move on yes, but with new players not ones we had before.

11 Jun 2017 19:47:07
New players or better players? I'd always go for better players, new or old.

11 Jun 2017 20:41:54
Parky, move on with better players than we have - old or new

12 Jun 2017 13:29:12
Assuming we secure the signature of Dorrans then I reckon that the only other player to arrive will be a full back. With the two Mexican Boys and the young Columbian, assuming that we secure work permits for all three then I would be surprised if we see any more midfield players or attacking players but I would still expect to see a full back arrive and Hodson leave.

11 Jun 2017 14:16:56
Really hope Candeias lays the smackdown on wee Tierney

Welcome to the 🌎's most honoured club.

11 Jun 2017 14:13:01
Daniel Candeias has signed interview on youtube

11 Jun 2017 14:03:04
Candeias just signed!

11 Jun 2017 14:20:35
Sky reporting we paid £750,000 for Candeias on a two year deal. Hopefully its a three year deal for that money?

11 Jun 2017 16:50:01
2 years

11 Jun 2017 17:56:33
Hopefully the manager and the board know exactly what they are doing and agreed to a 2 year deal in the best interests of the club!

Why do some on here think the people running our club are idiots?

11 Jun 2017 10:51:30
I think McKay will flourish with new better team mates I think the weight of feeling like he has to carry the full team got to big for him and he gave up and got lazy he's an attacking player who has to get back to defensive positions to often.

11 Jun 2017 15:55:11
mckay getting back to defensive duties I must have missed these games.

11 Jun 2017 10:36:22
Don't know if this Is correct, maybe someone can correct me if I'm wrong.

But what I heard is that only new players registered before the 19th can play in the europa league 1st round. Which is what I knew anyway.

What I didn't know was new players registered before the 7th of July can play in the second round.

The second round is the one I'm more concerned about given that there's good sides in there like for Example Galatasaray

I thought that only players registered before the 19th had to go all the way until the last round. But it seems from what I have heard we can register other players if we get to the 2nd round.

If that was the case then I would feel a lot better about the Morelos transfer, and if my information is correct he could jump in at the second round, and register before the 7th of July, which would give him more than enough time to get his paperwork sorted. And tbh if that's the case I would be fine with that.

I'm think we could easily enough get through the 1st round, but it's the 2nd round that there is a real chance of getting a either good or very awkward opponent.

I'm not taking anything for granted in terms of the 1st round, but I think we can get past that one with the player that are here now!
And then for the 2 nod round all the new boys would be ready.

But I'm not sure 🤔 if that's right, if we can register new players for the second round.
Hope so!

11 Jun 2017 11:16:53
There is indeed a later date you can register players for later rounds although I'm not sure what those dates are.

11 Jun 2017 12:45:30
Thanks, blue genius- I just needed to know we could still register players for the other rounds after the 19th.

It seems we can, which is good news considering we don't know exactly when all these proposed moves were making will be done and dusted.

11 Jun 2017 13:50:24
The problem will be with the home grown players rule. You need 8 players trained in Scotland between the ages of 17 and 21. Where 4 of them must have been trained at Rangers. If you can't fill the 8 spaces then you have to leave a blank spot for everyone you are short.

11 Jun 2017 19:50:01
I don't think there would ever be a chance of us registering a full squad of 25, maybe 21 or 22. Then it becomes less of an issue.

12 Jun 2017 14:09:17
you register players before each round. then there's the final registration before the groups stages and then again before the knock out stages start.

you need 4 trained the club (Wilson, Mckay, Beerman and another from the youth team, probably the keeper Kelly) and then 4 trained in Scotland (jack, Wallace, miller, halliday, bates and holt all fall into that category) .

You then can add anyone up to a total of 25 players.

I think under 21s don't need to be registered either.

11 Jun 2017 10:19:12
I've got a feeling it will be Barry out and Vladimir in but later on in the window, if we progress he will be able to play in later Q rounds.

11 Jun 2017 16:44:08
Weiss won't be coming to ibrox

11 Jun 2017 19:19:16
Im sure I read that Pedro said if we couldn't get the Morelos deal over the line by the 18/ 19th then we wouldn't pursue it! I hope this is not the case.
Plus news about registering new players does make a difference regarding Mckays situation. Gives us chance to put together a squad for 1st round and then poss alter it for 2nd.
Think we could afford Weiss transfer but I wonder how much he's on weekly and how much he'd get at Ibrox?
Opinions on Weiss wages?

11 Jun 2017 22:25:19
Tbh I would rather keep mckay and sign morelas than lose mckay and sign weiss

12 Jun 2017 00:09:50
Weiss won't be signing for Rangers, so his wages don't matter.

11 Jun 2017 08:36:15
I can't believe that pundits like Dalglish and Souness are calling for Strachan to stay. He failed to get Scotland to Euro 2016, got a new contract as a reward for this failure and now has all but failed to get us to The World Cup finals as well. I'll concede that Griffiths' goals were top drawer and Tierney is a very good players but other than that, nothing special in the team. And a rant about the Sunday Post. Totally biased, pro-Septic columnists in Brazil and Dalglish and Gordon Smith's head is up his own ****. I won't be buying that rag again.

11 Jun 2017 09:29:20
DOIGER

I'm not a great fan of Strachan and I think he plays too many of his pals however who do you think should take over and do you think we could qualify with another manager? Scotland are a very poor side at the moment and I can't really see another manager doing any better

11 Jun 2017 10:39:18
Bengy. This World Cup campaign is over now so best that he goes and get someone else in to build his own team and tactics before the Euro 2020 qualifiers. My suggestions would be either Alex Neil or Paul Lambert. I'm trying not to be bias and I agree that Griffiths and Tierney played well. I don't rate Gordon or Forrest and Armstrong is still not international class. Brown is better than most we have in the middle right now I suppose. Get youngsters like Tierney, Robertson, Mackay, Oliver Burke and Ryan Gauld in the team on a regular basis and go from there.

11 Jun 2017 12:38:37
If Strachan goes who replaces him. I have heard Dvid Moyes would throw his hat into the ring! Well if the choice is between Strachan and Moyes I would suggest that Strachan should stay. Moyes would be 100 times worse!

11 Jun 2017 21:02:22
Time for massive changes at scotland new manager lambert, mcinness, some one younger and time to get rid off all these hanger ons who have failed for years and years get the youth in now build them up through the rest of this campaign and for the euros we might get a couple of doings along the way but we would build them up for the next world cup and this would also help scottish football as a whole by believing in the youth and helping them develop at a higher level also stop us picking all the ones not good enough for england but because they had a granny thst used the subway once makes them good enough for us plus we need a solid cb in the mould of gough hendry or mcleish who were brave and put themselves on the line and wore the shirt with pride unlike the current lot

11 Jun 2017 07:55:29
seen some slowbreeds cheering when england scored, likewise when scottish celtic support ireland, it makes you look daft.

get a grip no wonder our leeg is in the state its in.

11 Jun 2017 09:10:49
BlueBloodGerz

People are entitled to support whoever they want and if some Rangers fans support England and some Celtic fans support Rep of Ireland then fair enough there is nothing wrong with that. Just because your Scottish doesn't mean you need to support Scotland. It's like saying you only allowed to support Rangers or Celtic if your from Glasgow

11 Jun 2017 09:42:40
Problem is Scottish remains a Celtic select .

"Credit to Rogers if we beat England" etc

11 Jun 2017 09:53:24
Blue blood,
I'm rangers daft, Always have been and always will be but, i'm just as passionate about scotland. I don't agree with scots cheering on anyone other than scotland. And as a gers fan i have to say lee griffiths goals were world class even though it pains me to say it about a c#ltic player. Lol

11 Jun 2017 12:18:39
I'm actually originally from England so I tend to support both. A draw was a good result for me yesterday. As Brian g said people can support who they like. I always support England at major tournaments. Its not my fault Scotland aren't good enough to make it. Strachan needs out that's for sure.

11 Jun 2017 15:52:14
Brian G

Are you for real mate? You don't pick which country you support.

11 Jun 2017 23:18:51
Peter Huistra

Are you saying you can't decide what national team you want to support? We live in Scotland in 2017 not Iraq in the nineties or Russia in the 20s. People are free to chose who they support internationally and domestically. To say you can't choose is ridiculous. What kind. of world do you live in?
