Taking a step aside from first team signings, I read that Man City are looking at a Brentford youth player called Ian Carlo Poveda. He is a England youth player but also eligible for Colombia. He was previously at Barcelona's famed La Mascia academy but left due to legal issues surrounding their signings of young players. With the obvious connections to Brentford and the fact their academy is due to close, I'm putting two and two together, but he did choose Brentford over Arsenal that may show he puts his development over fame and fortune. Hopefully see some investment in the youth ranks regardless, as well as the first team.

11 May 2016 21:56:44
The fat bastard is going down 👇.

11 May 2016 18:38:35
Wonder what the news would have been had last night's incident at West ham game happened in Glasgow if Rangers or Celtic buses had been attacked in same fashion?

11 May 2016 21:20:14
You have to laugh when two whoppers disagree with a question? How can you disagree with a question lol?

12 May 2016 13:55:21
I totally disagree with that question! lmfao how just how do you disagree tell us please what wrong with that question. you get some weird people on this site lol.

11 May 2016 17:25:43
Tav, Clark, shiels and waggy on the score sheet in friendly today.

11 May 2016 17:58:48
What was the score?

11 May 2016 18:01:26
what was spurs lineup?

11 May 2016 18:05:46
Finished 4-3 Rangers
Dele ALLI supposed to have scored for Spurs.

11 May 2016 20:16:18
4-3 Rangers, Eriksen said to have started too.

12 May 2016 01:15:19
Tottenham team and scorers is on their website, no mention of Alli or Eriksen. It was their development squad.

12 May 2016 13:56:46
their youth squad is better than most teams in Scotland its sad to say but is the truth!

11 May 2016 16:04:27
I have noticed a few people say they would like to see Ball stay for another year or that we should sign him permanently.

I will first of all say I think he is a good player and has done well for us this year. However my question is.

With the likelihood that Wilson and Kiernan are staying and we will likely only bring in one more centre back as Crooks can cover there, would bringing Ball in be the answer?

I'm not sure. With Crooks as DCM we will likely be stronger but I'm undecided.

11 May 2016 16:33:57
I think ball would be challenging crooks for position in that team to be honest.
competition for places is only a good thing for rangers.

in my opinion danny Wilson is a terrible defender and should be a back up defender for us at best. I would actually not be sad to see us sell him.

I think rangers need a big solid cb or two, and with enough experience to couch young rob Kiernan.

11 May 2016 16:51:37
Ball would be a solid addition, boy stood out all season, either CB and CDM, he would add value, I would take him back in a second, he only going to get better.

If I am honest, I don't think he will get in to Spurs first team, which is good for us. His heart is with Rangers now, winning medals playing in Old Firm, playing infront of 50,000, do not be surprised if he back at us next season on perm deal! He has got bitten by the Rangers Bug!

11 May 2016 17:33:33
Agree that Ball would be a welcome addition - for another year or permanently - can play in a variety of positions CB, FB cover (needed) and DMF - main thing for me though is he got better and better during season and can only see this continuing.

11 May 2016 16:20:24
I've got to be honest and say I don't know what the fuss is about the boy. I'm struggling to think about a game where he really impressed me. When he played in midfield I reckon young Murdoch or Thompson could have done the same job.

11 May 2016 17:32:35
Would have ball at the back with a new cb.

11 May 2016 19:32:17
Evening fellow bears have to agree with M3LV0 - I'd have Ball back in a minute as the lad's solid at CB when he covered for Wilson earlier in season and also slots in comfortably at CDM as shown in a few games especially the OF semi.

I've watched that game again a cple of times and Ball's a better footballer than I first thought - only caught out of position once in the whole game, never missed any tackles and kept the ball for us under pressure.

Quick point on Crooks I've watched a few clips of the lad and he does look good but was playing as CB bringing ball out from defence so I think Warbs will play him there and not CDM - that's probably earmarked for Rossiter.

11 May 2016 14:39:42
A midfield and strike force of Holt halliday rossiter windass crooks Burt mckay o halloran waghorn Hardie a few more quality Signings and sort the defence we will have a really strong team next year we will need some experience in there but I am very confident for next season I can't wait.

11 May 2016 14:54:54
U forget about Miller and Forrester lol.

11 May 2016 16:37:18
our midfield was the strongest part of rangers this season.
good to get cover and strengthen in that area but we definetly need to look at our defence lb good rb good cb's need replaced especially Wilson.
and maybe cover for our fullbacks would be a good idea.

11 May 2016 17:01:51
Crooks and Rossiter (if he comes) will probably start in midfield so it will be interesting to see what others make up the midfield. Think we need a keeper and CB and a striker.

11 May 2016 19:41:07
we can't expect to much from miller next season
forrester could be injury prone
waggy is certainly not an out and out striker
u would think crooks has been bought to solidify the defence
unless we get a new CB.

11 May 2016 14:39:38
Anyone know what's happening in the bounce match at spurs? can't find it anywhere?

11 May 2016 14:45:35
I've read 4-3 on some rangers pages apparently joey Barton is on trial and scored a penalty. From what I've seen but find it hard to believe.

11 May 2016 15:45:06
Ive heard 4 3 aswell from spurs twitter account or unofficial site.

11 May 2016 15:56:33
When I say hard to believe I mean about joey barton not the scoreline.

11 May 2016 16:53:26
Joey going to play in premiership next year why would he be on trial with Rangers? This is just silly!

This is a warm up game for the Scottish Cup Final not a pre season friendly!

11 May 2016 17:15:57
It was 4-3 to Rangers, Tavernier, Waghorn, Shiels and Nicky Clark all scored.

11 May 2016 17:21:21
Tav, Clarke, shields and waggy scored.

11 May 2016 15:24:21
Also saw 4-3 scoreline with Deli Ali scoring for Spurs - but then that was followed by a 2-1 scoreline - any other updates?

11 May 2016 17:37:31
Wouldn't won't barton any where near ibrox. That french accent was humiliating, could you imagine his attempt at the west of scotland lingo?

11 May 2016 14:36:24
Any word on today's match, Kick off time, teams etc?

Also i take it there is no way of watching it if it's behind closed doors?

11 May 2016 14:45:25
Cant find result anywhere. I live in London and rain is torrential -Would not be surprised if game was played in doors.

11 May 2016 14:25:45
Stephen Thompson quits the SPFL board in a rage at 'DISPROPORTIONATE PUNISHMENT' haha. Also I hear we're looking at an Indian player called Karma.

11 May 2016 14:40:21
Haha very good gram!

11 May 2016 14:45:26
When u look beyond the headlines. They basically got no punishment. They got 3 points deducted which makes no difference as there relegated anyway. And there fine half the amount was suspended. So you wonder what Thompson is moaning about.

11 May 2016 14:57:21
a 3 point deduction made by the SFA, to a team that is already relegated, just sums the Muppets up! what is actually the point of it! Doc them when it matters not when it totally irrelevant, actually embarrassing.

11 May 2016 15:16:41
I heard the points are to be deducted next season so they would start on minus 3 points.

11 May 2016 15:37:18
No this season's total.

11 May 2016 15:43:55
Have Dundee been docked 3 points?
Could someone shed some light on this matter as I ain't got a clue about anything they have done.

11 May 2016 15:50:29
Sorry chaps, disregard my previous post as I have just read that the 3 points are deducted now, what a pointless punishment to an already relegated team, sfa numptys again!

11 May 2016 17:03:46
Utterly pointless deducting a relegated team 3 points as someone said sums up the people who run our game.

11 May 2016 14:47:03
Couldn't happen to a nicer guy- as ye sow, so shall ye reap!

11 May 2016 13:59:58
I hope Rangers are keeping an eye on Joao Teixeira's situation at Liverpool. He's out of contract this summer and only earns £5k/ week. Having a young CAM of his quality in our team would take us to the next level.

11 May 2016 14:37:24
I agree with you but that's another midfielder isn't it I feel as if that where we are looking and the main areas that we need strengthened in is cb, s at least two and 1 top class striker or two good quality strikers to have competition for first team picks. the young man would do well at rangers though.

11 May 2016 14:50:57
mcparland rated him highly, however it seems he is almost certain to be heading to italy.

11 May 2016 13:46:30
If anyone has any doubts about Rossiter got to HITC sport.
There's a link to the twitter reaction from Liverpool fans about his soon to be confirmed move to Ibrox.
Most of them are saying he's the best player in the Academy, others saying he should have been the future of Liverpool.
Another interesting one was somebody saying they weren't surprised Mcparland took him here as he can spot a good player.
All very encouraging for us, this boy could turn out to be a great signing and for 250k it's a steal. Mcparland could be the best signing we've ever made I think.

11 May 2016 18:53:47
the grapevine says gers could be interested in prising OJO from Liverpool, on loan if wee frank can work his magic it would really be a great coup`as he is a class player having watched him play first team with Liverpool. Do you think it`s a possibility.

11 May 2016 08:36:17
Let's all hope for a Sunderland win tonight, it would see Newcastle relegated, sad for the fans of Newcastle but good news on the Ashley front for gers fans.

11 May 2016 10:41:01
I'm with you Forfarger, I want to see what happens if they go down. I'm pretty sure it can only benefit us. It is sad for the Newcastle fans, who I have always had a soft spot for. I remember a pre-season friendly when Lovenkrands played for them and their fans were all having some friendly banter with ours on the subway. No malice, just proper Football fans enjoying the day. They are like us, they follow their team through thick and thin.
I think they might need to go through something similar to what we have to rid themselves of the fat man. It will be a long road for them though.

11 May 2016 13:38:01
Really hope Newcastle go down, I do feel for their fans however my despise of the fat t**t outweighs my sympathy! Would be great for him to get hit in the pocket cause money seems to be the only thing he understands.

11 May 2016 07:08:52
Don't know if anyone has posted anything but I've seen that ziggy Gordon is leaving access at the end of the season. I certainly would like to see rangers make a move for him, what's everyone's else opinion on him?

11 May 2016 15:23:54
I have posted previously that there was a strong rumour
that the gers were looking at ziggy Gordon and the goalie
McGovern as both are out of contract.

11 May 2016 06:44:56
Is Harry Forrester still injured?

11 May 2016 10:14:43
yip will be back for the start of next season fractured calf bone I think it was so taking time to heal and don't think he will make it to 100% for the final.

11 May 2016 10:23:53
Thanks James Stirling, I wasn't sure of what was happening with him or if he would make the final.

11 May 2016 10:43:01
Gutted for Harry, he would have been the star in the Old Firm game and Cup final I think. Plenty of time for more silverware though wee man next year and it will be the sweetest of them all, no 55!

11 May 2016 11:56:32
harry is a great player but it would have taken something special to beat barry's performance that day best I've seen him he was at it the whole game.

11 May 2016 12:19:28
I agree JS actually, it would have taken something special to beat Barry's performance. He was immense that day. I think Forrester was in the better form beforehand though and could really have done a number on that Celtic defence. It's scary to think what we could have done to them that day if Forrester, Waggy and even MOH were available. Oh well there's always next year, bring it on.
On a side note I'd be delighted if Keane signs, he causes carnage every team he goes to.

11 May 2016 12:39:42
I think the problem with Keane is that he is already very wealthy and will walk if somebody looks at him the wrong way. I think he will want all sorts of assurances about investment in their team and the like that it will scare Lawwell and especially Desmond off. Moyes would be the same. I have a feeling either Lennon or Mackay will end up there and I wouldn't be too disappointed with either if these. Personally I think they should have stuck with Deila and bawheid for at least another 5 seasons. Never even gave the guys a chance!

11 May 2016 13:18:50
id rather the get mackay but has anyone heard if they ar looking at lambart because I think he would do well with them (I hate to say)

11 May 2016 13:37:34
I'm sure they'll be looking at Lambert. I'm not bothered who they get to be honest. I'm pretty sure MW is better than anyone on their list. Everybody mentioned for the Celtic job is damaged goods.
