I wonder is it just possible that Assulin and Glendon didn't try too hard to impress because they don't really fancy playing in Scottish football? i know if I had the chance to earn a place in the likes of Man City I would prefer it under today's conditions, We gave them a chance, but I think Warbs is shrewd enough to
see they weren't up for it.
Like others have said, we need to look at lower leagues down south to find another Jamie Vardy. (or two! )

11 Nov 2015 22:02:17
Warbs wanted Assulin to sign but he refused.

12 Nov 2015 10:21:04
I thought they wanted to extend his trial period but he refused?

12 Nov 2015 10:07:22
No he didn't he wasn't any better than what we have, he played in the under 20s but he never impressed, so we move on.

Surely the staunchest Dave King haters out there can now see that the man is trying very hard to deal with the circus that surrounds our club right now. I think our chairman is doing wonders personally.
Against the backdrop of all the Green/White/Ashley court sagas he has brought the fans together, provided short term funding, brought in an excellent management team, backed them by bringing in the people they want (players and backroom staff) and allowed them the chance to steer us towards promotion. All the while refusing to bend the knee to these faceless spivs. Please tell me what he has done (within his power) that has harmed the club in any way. I personally can't see it. And please no one say he hasn't spent £30m because that sum in this league is simply farcical and also the nomad situation was out his hands.

Brilliant recbob, well said, only the kid on supporters or tims that come here kidding on their Rangers men through and through only don't agree, Kings doing a great job, brought in all the right people which he promised, and didn't get in the way of warburtons signings, we've got a few ghosts in and around the Seens still, but King promised the old board and Ashley and all the fans 2 months previous before the EGM, that they'd b out, and he'd b in, he got laught at from them both, and us fans where just hoping, bang, it happened! Let the papers and the tims write and shout there mouths off, but we're back, and nobody likes it! Ashley's got us over a barrel, a wee bit, but King has him over one at the same time, Ashley knows he's dealing with a different kettle of fish now, plus us fans don't want these diseases anywhere near our great club!

11 Nov 2015 13:54:46
I think Ashley is upping his game because he now can see we are going somewhere we have a good team good management and will be back in the spl and soon back in Europe he dose not want to miss out in all that. We need to all stick together to keep him out because he's has shown in recent times he will bleed us dry, vampire.

11 Nov 2015 17:56:03
The old anybody not supporting the board must be a Tim argument is back I see. Remember it well from the days of Craig Whyte and Charles Green.

11 Nov 2015 22:01:56
Colin I'm sure if your board pays Ashley his loan back he will go away. After all it's only £5million. Not much to a club with a fan base of 500 million.

11 Nov 2015 22:04:23
King's days are numbered. He should never have been allowed anywhere near our club. We are going nowhere but down while he is associated with the club.

11 Nov 2015 14:02:43
Great posts also read johnny McFarlanes post on the record website it is spot on.

11 Nov 2015 15:51:02
recbob well said the pelters the board gets is unreal.

11 Nov 2015 16:17:40
Ashley now going after the SFA trying to get them to force King out. The SFA stopped a previous chairman of Chelsea taking over Partick Thistle in the 70/80S I am sure . So they should update this to include sitting on the board . I know they have limited his share amount he can own.

12 Nov 2015 08:50:37
ABHABH1 really going nowhere? I assume you have watched us play this year compared to last. I don't know King so not a supporter. When MW says he ain't getting the backing he needs from the board is when I doubt them.

"Please tell me what he has done (within his power) that has harmed the club in any way. "

Lost Nomad and failed to gain listing anywhere else - he had Nomad lined up and would take days. months later no progress.

Exposed confidential details on contract - costing £400k in legals.

Failed to renegociated RR contract - just pay it off (has £30m), announce its terminating, or go legal on it - but don't do nothing but moan for 8 months about it.

Failed in first cup competition - this could get it into Europe next year - don't even need to win - just get to final versus any top3 spfl club - and we get £5m from Europa next year.

Failed to get IP back - just pay £5m and get better RR deal and IP back.

Failed to raise money from shares. so needs more loans (£2.5 and rising)

He has £30m which would solve all out problems - invest - loans need to be paid back! We can't get players using "loan" money.

In fight with our wealthiest shareholder - why fight him - work with him.

Yes Bluepete I have seen the team play and it is an improvement from last year without a doubt. However, that will count for little if we are forced into administration because we are unable to find investment. While King is in charge no external parties will deal with us. Also see today's papers where MW is suggesting that we may need to sell players in January.

Morning everyone. Great to see the Manager and Scout today talking about player recruitment, I just love listening to the both of them. "Young technically gifted players who would run through a brick wall and will add value" is the mantra and I for one can't wait to see who they bring in. Maybe these comments can shut the doom mongers up for a while. We honestly have one of the best management and back room teams in Britian in my opinion which is getting better with each addition.
As for The Fat Man Mike Ashley (and I hope this makes it past ed because a few posts I've made regarding this man have not and I must admit it's had me worried) we should be showing him the lengths our support go to to take down money grabbers ruining our club. Let's start organising demonstrations at his other Scottish stores on a regular basis and in huge intimidating numbers. The only way this greedy excuse of a man will get the message. Everywhere, Anywhere, We Will Follow On!

I see ex Swansea striker michu is prepared to drop to Spanish 4 division to get his career back on track! Could he do a job for us? just a thought.

11 Nov 2015 10:25:52
Hey Hooly78 had the same thought but he has gone to play there and be coached by his brother I believe, paperwork pending, he could make his debut for them next week.
