Not been the greatest time to be a gers fan, but listening to our alex rae on that interview video was priceless.

Ally has been assured there will be no admin, so I guess they might know more than us, still in the crap, but there you go.

cromjo. I really wouldn't put much store in the utterings of a man who signs documents without even reading them. He presumably just believes anything he's told

Agree0 Disagree0

Why do I not trust Ally when he denies admin is a possibility?

Probably because he also expects us to believe that Bin Ahmad guy or whatever he's called & his Interpol listed pal visited Ibrox purely to find out more about the youth set up.

Funnier than anything Ally ever said on Question of Sport.

@3 just so the record is straight, He never said Admin wasn't a possibility, he said he didn't believe it would happen as he had been told so by his employer,, there is a difference you know.

The answer to any non-football questions should be '' I will only answer questions regarding football matters. '' He was prepared to walk out a press conference when he would not answer questions about off-field matters. He should stick to that stance and save getting hammered no matter what he says.
Personally, I don't listen to what he says regarding any matter, football or not.

Agree0 Disagree0

#4 Ally's getting his excuses in early. He knows admin's in the pipeline but he's determined to pretend he couldn't foresee it so instead he insults the intelligence of supporters by repeating the story about Rafat Rivzi and Bin Ahmad visiting Ibrox to discover more about the youth setup --- do you believe that story yourself?

not really a big fan of keith jackson (daily record), wondering what his end game really is in all this. is it just to stir things up or is it really to try and set the record straight on behalf of the fans. what do other bears think??

So rumours are rife in some papers down south that Mike Ashley is preparing to sell Newcastle for something in the region of £230million and increase his share holding in Rangers, I know a lot of fellow bears Will not welcome this man anywhere near our club, but with the state we're in what real options are open to us, would we be anymore tolerant of M. As involvement if he were to by the club lock stock and barrel, and rid us of the whole current regime or is M. A a total non starter in the eyes of the masses I would, like most love our club to be fan owned but that's not going to happen anytime soon, and as we are pretty much staring into the abyss I for one would be willing to embrace the man, but then I'd sell my soul to the devil if it meant our once mighty club was still around to give my grand children some of wonderful experiences I have had around Europe with the one and only Glasgow Rangers. Lengthy article in today's Daily Telegraph about this story. Depends how long it takes him to sell Newcastle United but it does seem now to be a fight between Ashley and King.

I can't believe some fans not wanting ashaley in my eyes it doesn't make sense. Yeah he may had made some stupid decision at newcastle but at least he's a legit businessman and not a crook like some of the people involved in Rangers at the moment. For me its simple Mike ashaley takes over Rangers then we survive 100% if the current men in charge somehow manage to hold onto power then we will be unstable continue to be a bit of a joke. So i'd take Mike in a second

Agree0 Disagree0

Looks like ashley has everything in place for a final push for the club, he seems to own most parts of it already, but only if he can get newcastle of his hands 1st. to be fair to ashley, newcastle are on a good financial footing, compared to when he 1st took over. also looking at newcastles 1st team, if they were playing up here they would run away with the league title. if he could lose some of the hangers on he might not be as bad as some of the characters we've seen recently at ibrox, think the days of rich fans oweing the own clubs they support are coming to an end, maybe we just have to realise its busisnessmen who will own the clubs and they will only ever see it as a business for them!!

This is kings chance to buy up n grt rid of these persons off the board but he's nowhere to be seen. Mike ashley got to ne better than whonwe have at the moment. what's he actually done for everybody to hate him so much lol

@5,?, would help if you elaborate. So are you saying options are wait for King after administration (if indeed he comes in) or stick with current board, because right now these appear the options.

Agree0 Disagree0

From day 1 ashley was up against it from the moment he bought newcastle, simply because he was a cockney and not a geordie!!

Boy blue: I agree, Jackson tars everyone at Rangers with the same brush when it's the likes of Easdale who drag us down, as for Ashley, Alan Brazil said he would be good for Rangers as he would kick out the imposters on the board and he might have a point.

Agree0 Disagree0

How long has Ashley been trying to see Newcastle for? Since before I knew the name Charles Green for sure.

As for Keith Jackson, not remotely my favourite journalist after his Whyte has wealth off the radar cut and paste press release made its way onto the DR but to be fair if he'd told the truth about Whyte then he'd have been branded a Rangers hater and many fans would have called for a boycott of his rag. No win situation for the guy.

Guys as an outsider looking in it is hard to see who you all can trust. Ashley or King.
King has had so many chances to put money into the club, he has been vociferous in telling fans NOT to part with any monies, but then King must tell fans his plans.
Ashley at newcastle has been a disaster PR wise. He refuses to engage with newcastle fans and from what I heard takes big chunks of the geordie cash for him and his business empire.
One example is advertising, all round St James Park and even on the roof his business is advertised, he does not pay the club for this advertising and is costing Newcastle hundreds of thousands of pounds in lost revenue as no other company is allowed the prime advertising sapce around the ground.

Newcastle is in an excellent financial position. Every club is for sale at the right price but when you come out and say 'i am looking to sell' that means the offers will come in, and they will. Its a premiership team with a large fan base. If it gets a sugar daddy then you are looking at a new power in the premiership. Ashley just refused to put in his own money (quite right to) that's one of the reasons fans weren't happy. Personally I wouldn't have any problems if ashley came up here. Infact I would welcome him. Certain people have came out promising the world and how they would save the club, then just vanished.

Ally he has been trying to sell for the last 2years and no one is biting. why do we always believe there's a saviour on the horizon?
He is part of the problems ongoing at Ibrox at the moment why would anyone in their right minds want to give him more opportunity to rob/fleece us more.
OMG groundhog day again.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ashley was trying to sell newcastle before they got relegated a few years ago and all this c**p they have no debt they owe ashley 130m nobody will pay 230m for them so ashley taking over us is a non starter

I would welcome Ashley to our club and hope it would be a goer but don't see it happening!

Agree0 Disagree0

Ashley was brought to the table by charlieboy what makes people think ashley would rid rangers of the current board after all they are all involved as one big crew from the start so its a no from me I hope nobody makes an offer for newcastle putting an end to his involvment at ibrox
