12 Apr 2016 22:46:16
Well done Falkirk BTW. Just when Hibs thought they found their bottle.

13 Apr 2016 11:21:41
They can be proud of the new verb they have created for the English language. People will talk for decades of teams 'Hibsing' it. Sounds a lot better than snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

13 Apr 2016 12:29:03
My son gave me a shout on Sunday night to come in and watch the Masters where Jordan Spieth was 'hibsing it'.

12 Apr 2016 22:11:36
Hibs Hibsed it again, they've surpassed themselves this time and that is saying something. 😂.

12 Apr 2016 23:20:48
Stubbs was saying today 'we won't bottle it'.
You'se have. repeatedly.

12 Apr 2016 19:14:14
Great to see Harry sign for 3 years. He says he was a bit shocked to get a visit from the police before Sundays big game. Harry son you ain't seen nothing yet mate. You are about to experience the biggest game of your life and it's like a drug. You will just want it more and more. Let's hope he plays a blinder.

12 Apr 2016 20:03:10
Robbie i hope our manager gets the bug and him and his backroom staff stick about for years and years to come.

12 Apr 2016 20:24:28
You've only got to listen to Souness commenting on the game. He has been away for years but you can still tell he has the bug. I reckon we will have them I really do.

12 Apr 2016 21:40:37
Robbie73w

Not so sure about that as soon as Liverpool came calling he was off.

12 Apr 2016 22:42:52
Harry says it all really: "I love it here, and playing at Ibrox. There are good times ahead at this club and I want to be part of that. "

12 Apr 2016 18:14:29
Does anyone agree with Walter smith, should Rangers have been just let back in to the spl after going into liquidation.

12 Apr 2016 18:49:13
no. releated to the championship would have been suffice.

12 Apr 2016 19:23:11
No, teams that are liquidated have to be punished. As happened to Airdrie and Gretna, who both dropped completely out the league. If not punished it would only encourage clubs to overspend wildly and then write off their debts.

Don't recall Walter making this point at the time, in fact, I remember him wishing something along the lines of the new club Rangers well.

Whether we should have dropped one division or three I'm not sure to be honest.

12 Apr 2016 19:24:49
In hindsight new bhoy yes, as I think it's clear to everyone Whyte bought the club to force admin and strip the assets. But at the time i think we should have been dropped to the 1st division, fined and transfer embargo.

12 Apr 2016 19:35:37
not even warranting an answer new bhoy.

12 Apr 2016 19:37:35
The punishment was fit for purpose. We should just drop this argument, it happened so leave it at that.

12 Apr 2016 20:15:08
What's done is done - and its time to move on.

12 Apr 2016 22:13:05
Only show and luigi totally agree it's done move on.

12 Apr 2016 22:18:04
It wasn't a punishment it was a consequence having to apply to start in bottom league there was no relegation?

12 Apr 2016 20:37:21
Explain that to 276 Creditors Luigi. I don't think " What's done is done" is any comfort.

12 Apr 2016 21:44:19
I think when everything is done you will find that Rangers fc were the victims of a terrible crime. Not so sure that being punished is the right approach to deal with victims of crime and although the authorities weren't aware of this they still couldn't wait to punish us. Even getting admitted to the 3rd division the club were blackmailed into signing a ludicrous agreement.

12 Apr 2016 22:01:29
Quite simply, we took our punishment. So no matter the rights or wrongs of it, we have served our time and live to fight another day.
To all those who thought they could destroy us, you better waken up because The Glasgow Rangers are back.

12 Apr 2016 22:56:57
It was a continuation, but in the 3rd div.

13 Apr 2016 12:16:49
Pud, unless you have a time machine then it's done. It's a choice of moving on or being consumed by bitterness.

You have companies that make multi million profits and pay next to nothing in tax. We have a government that helps their rich friends out whilst punnishing disabled and those in genuine poverty- and we still have a bunch more of sanctimonious fools repeatedly treading over events at a football club from four years ago and longer. Get your priorities on life sorted out. Perhaps if more people paid attention to the actions of a corrupt tory government then they wouldn't get away with lining their pockets at the expense of the most vulnerable in our society.

13 Apr 2016 15:38:58
So on one hand its done and you have accepted your punishment, yet on the other rangers will always feel bitterness towards the rest of Scottish football for there punishment (consequences of their own actions I think is a better term) as quoted yesterday by Walter Smith and even several posters in this very thread. Interesting.

13 Apr 2016 17:03:00
The one thing it is not is interesting- was boring a long long time ago.

12 Apr 2016 17:14:37
i have said already about how exciting the summer is going to be for us bears. and to the few of them who come on here are you excited about the summer? as far as i can see you have nothing to get excited about? you all keep saying how good you are so you don't need to do anything by your own admissions. but wait you will be going into the qualifiers for the champions league well again by your own admissions you are going to have to spend huge. admit it precious, poet and others you have missed the boat you should have built you haven't oh well hindsight is better than foresight? isn't it? onwards and upwards for us. just also like to say it has been a strange journey for us but a big thanks to all the clubs we met along the way the hospitality and friendship shown by many will not be forgot by us and i hope that many of the clubs benefited from playing us . i live in southern ireland so i don't manage to get over for any games but hope to soon are there any bears on here that went to the smaller club matches with us maybe you can shed some light on how rangers were treated at ground level rather than reading the drivel that is spewed out in the daily rags. just one more thing living here in ireland and being a rangers supporter is amazing yes there's a lot of slagging but it is good humoured all my friends here support celtic and can't wait for next season some are going to go BACK parkhead to watch the matches again now that we are back yes celtic fans did stay away because we were not there! now they want to boycott their own games. because were back? lol get a grip bhoys.

13 Apr 2016 13:59:02
Our punishment has to be accepted but it was the attitude of the majority of the other Clubs in Scotland and their support that was sickening. All lead a merry dance by Lawwell in his quest to take over Scottish Football and supported strongly by Dundee United, a team that could well be on its way to oblivion!

12 Apr 2016 17:32:35
Forrester just singed 3 year deal!

Well done MW and DW again, another GEM just about to give us the best years of his career.

12 Apr 2016 16:18:21
has everyone forgot that we've signed wee windass on a pre season for next season? we have enough strikers. personally I was at school with Cummings and he's a wee ****er and always will be. he scores goals aye but he's honestly not the sort of player you want at rangers.

12 Apr 2016 17:07:50
He has been rank rotten during hibs collapse. Like a lot of young Scottish players he doesn't have the mentality to make the most of his natural talent- could end up going same way as Garry O'Connor and tam McManus.

12 Apr 2016 17:36:48
I think he's going to end up even worse than riordan and oconner.

12 Apr 2016 17:39:29
Windass isn't an out and out striker so I think we do need another striker in. Currently there is Waghorn, Miller, Clark and Hardie. Miller is 36, Hardie still young and Clark won't get another contract so I am baffled as to why u think we don't need a striker?

12 Apr 2016 17:58:42
We need a big powerful forward to come in and give us a different type of striker to waghorn.

12 Apr 2016 18:37:35
Windass isn't even a striker just end it there.

12 Apr 2016 18:00:41
Think Cummings has lost his way since Stokes signed BTW what a great job he done can't wait to see him give us the champions guard of honour at Easter rd.

12 Apr 2016 14:53:32
I'd be pretty damn sorry to see the back of Celtic, never to play them again, not having them in existence. I'm amazed at the number of their fans who wish just that of us. The sevco and new club wind up I can take but looking forward to the rest of time playing Aberdeen and Hearts as their only big league games is a wish I just don't get.

12 Apr 2016 17:04:51
They miss us, they are just too petty to admit it. Their half empty stadium says it all.

12 Apr 2016 17:06:03
That's actually a very good way of looking at it. What a boring league that would be, wondering could we wrap up the title quicker each year as the only thing to get excited about.

12 Apr 2016 19:03:52
I take a lot of their banter with a pinch of salt and we'd be getting stuck into them as they do with us were the situation reversed. I think the more rational Celtic supporters recognise the need for rivalry and whilst they may not like us, having a strong Rangers will help push them.

What irks me are those who mask their hatred of Rangers behind some kind of new found moral crusade and claim their club and supporters are saintly.

12 Apr 2016 18:16:53
So, if they fill their stadium when we play them next season, they're only there to see The Rangers! Simple!

12 Apr 2016 20:40:51
The hate card and victimisation Attitude is Risible. RFC imploded from within. Facts are hurtful but true.

12 Apr 2016 22:17:31
Aye, always laugh at the holier than thou attitude they have.

12 Apr 2016 14:47:10
I know last year is past but my only concern is if we lose soft goals like last year as the defence has been dodgy to say the least of late, even although the whole team defends as a unit, that hasn't gone so well, as long as we r still in it at half time, I definitely think it will be 2-1 to us, Holt and Forrester.

12 Apr 2016 12:37:59
Right folks, I've got three tickets sitting together in North Stand, C5 for the semi (pretty close to half-way line but also the opposing fans) and am wondering if anyone with a similar three tickets together would consider a swap?

12 Apr 2016 11:34:10
I agree with every word Souness said today in the media.
Celtic fans have been laughing so hard at the so called demise of our club that they failed to notice they are sitting in an empty stadium, watching the worst team of theirs since the 90's whilst becoming a laughing stock in Europe. Oh and losing every decent player they had along the way.
And through all their self righteous condemnation of all thing Rangers they've failed to register the facts, that they're club is knee deep involved in the exact same tax schemes.
Win or lose Sunday, they will know that we are back and they will be terrified of that to a man. We will go on to dominate them (as we always have) , maybe not next year but soon. They're the only team I know who would be happier watching a one horse race every year than facing a rivalry and a team who could actually beat them. Well I hope you's have enjoyed your wee fairytale last few years, the real game starts now!

12 Apr 2016 11:48:22
Have been saying for some time that they missed a massive opportunity. If they stay as they are, they will be caught soon enough. Can't see it though, surely they are capable of going up a gear or two. Made Aberdeen look decent in last few years.

12 Apr 2016 12:27:22
I agree recbob that they have really miss a massive trick by not spending big money to put a big gap but what happens if they have just been waiting for us to come up and they spend big this summer because we won't have a big budget until we're back on the stock exchange so we can do a share issue, that's the only way Dave King will invest millions, on shares, he's a clever man so I can't see him investing any other way but u never know hopefully I'm wrong.

12 Apr 2016 12:43:56
Delboy, they've spent quite a bit each year since we've been away. however it was mostly on duds, any good player they had (most of which were signed by Lennon) are now gone. They've had their chance to build a strong, young, determined squad, instead they have a very average squad. if Aberdeen had a little more investment I honestly think they'd catch Celtic. Personally I'd be enraged if I was a Celtic fan, but I'm not so I get a chuckle from it all.

12 Apr 2016 12:58:28
A don't think budget is everything Delboy. Plenty of teams have success if they have the right people in charge.
Plus They haven't had champions league money for a long time so I don't expect a huge outlay from them. It will be their usual £7-10m. Yes it will be more than us but they do buy an insane amount of turkeys.
I think Dave King might pull a few rabbits out the hat yet. He's not a man who likes to lose anything, especially to them. I'm positive for the future, when we get back to the top it will be all the sweeter if we haven't spent an arm and a leg doing it.

12 Apr 2016 14:05:50
I totally agree recob it's not how much u spend its how u spend it and more importantly who u spend it on, and as we know warburton can certainly pick a player, I'm really looking forward to the summer, this will be the first time in years that iv looked forward to a transfer window, I can't wait to see who we buy.

12 Apr 2016 14:27:09
Its too easy to get outpriced for talent though, players command higher fees than ever now, there's bargains to be had yes but we'll be delving into the market for players with a year left at most on their contracts/ free transfers/ loans.

12 Apr 2016 14:44:05
Gents, As a PLC Celtic must declare their financial position through their annual accounts. As such amy so-called war chest would be declared therein. If not, then it's because it doesn't exist.

12 Apr 2016 14:53:36
If they really had their act together they could have used the past few years to get so far ahead we would have struggled to every catch them. Their biscuit tin mentality is going to come back to haunt them.

They sold their prize assets, failed to reach champions league group (and all that money) and have swapped a decent manager for a complete diddy. If they had invested and reached group stage they could if attracted better players- instead they have loaded their squad with very similar players, mostly midfield players and are a far weaker team than 4 years ago. I agree with souness' coments in the papers.

They are stronger than us at the moment, but with the right signings and a bit of time we will catch them and be back where we belong.

12 Apr 2016 15:36:59
i have said already about how exciting the summer is going to be for us bears. and to the few of them who come on here are you excited about the summer? as far as i can see you have nothing to get excited about? you all keep saying how good you are so you don't need to do anything by your own admissions. but wait you will be going into the qualifiers for the champions league well again by your own admissions you are going to have to spend huge. admit it precious, poet and others you have missed the boat you should have built you haven't oh well hindsight is better than foresight? isn't it? onwards and upwards for us. just also like to say it has been a strange journey for us but a big thanks to all the clubs we met along the way the hospitality and friendship shown by many will not be forgot by us and i hope that many of the clubs benefited from playing us . i live in southern ireland so i don't manage to get over for any games but hope to soon are there any bears on here that went to the smaller club matches with us maybe you can shed some light on how rangers were treated at ground level rather than reading the drivel that is spewed out in the daily rags. just one more thing living here in ireland and being a rangers supporter is amazing yes there's a lot of slagging but it is good humoured all my friends here support celtic and can't wait for next season some are going to go BACK parkhead to watch the matches again now that we are back yes celtin fans did stay away because we were not there! now they want to boycott their own games. because were back? lol get a grip bhoys.

12 Apr 2016 20:10:20
RecBob, don't know what age you are but I was born in the 60s and I have seen celtic win more titles than rangers. So I don't know where you get the we shall dominate them as we always have. I don't think the jambos or Aberdeen shall even be running scared to a man. Hearts Aberdeen celtic have all got young hungry players but with a big difference they have more expirence than rangers young hungry players at the moment.

12 Apr 2016 23:21:19
Think it's time that you got on your bike lance 😂.

12 Apr 2016 23:30:51
I've seen Rangers win a lot more league's Lance, add that to the fact we have won more leagues, cups and Old Firm games, hence the dominate phrase.
That's what dominating is, winning far more than your rival.
Your welcome to your opinion but I don't fear either of those teams you mentioned. We have the best manager and I'm confident he will build a team to challenge and then win the league, but not only that to lay the foundations for future teams to keep winning.
Deila, McCinnis and Neilson or the Hat? My choice is the MW every time.

12 Apr 2016 10:14:26
That's Harry Forrester signed up on a 3 year contract. Brilliant. Ohhh Harryyy Harryyy!

12 Apr 2016 11:48:51
Great deal for all involved! Now Harry send the others a message and turn it on on Sunday, this game has your name on it!

12 Apr 2016 13:01:28
Brilliant piece of business giving Harry a 6month deal. Got him hungry for the game again and another great piece of business tying him up for 3years. The calibre of player MW has brought in for a pittance is staggering. Would love to see him with a bit to spend.
Forrester could be one of our main players next year in my opinion. If fit he's who my money will be on for first scorer come Sunday.

12 Apr 2016 15:38:49
where are all the bears on here that didn't like forrester? lol gone a wee bit quiet! in warbs and weir we trust bears!

12 Apr 2016 22:19:59
I am sure they are more than happy to be proved wrong, everyone's a winner.

12 Apr 2016 09:46:54
Reading posts on here about moving Tavernier forward to right midfield, why not get Hutton back from Aston Vila now that they are doomed to relegation? Also, these lists of obscure players worry me. We've still got Hardie, Murdoch and Walsh to bring back into the fold.

12 Apr 2016 10:16:58
Murdoch will be moved on, Hardie might be kept or shifted out on loan, Walsh can hope for that as well.

We need quality and experience, then a mixture of youth.

12 Apr 2016 11:19:29
Murdoch will not be moved on. Why send him out on loan for a year if he's not in future plans?

12 Apr 2016 14:31:58
Our manager said he sent younger players on loan, notably u20s, to play competative games to test themselves against seasoned pro's and not other u20s.

Didnt say it was with the intention of using them next year, if they aren't good enough this year then how can they be good enough for next year in a more competative league.

None of them would get a game over our current first 11 and with what we're told 5/ 6 additions would they get more or less a chance?

Just an opinion.

12 Apr 2016 14:47:07
I don't get people over looking Murdoch in favour of Hardie and Walsh. In my eyes, Murdoch looked the best prospect.

12 Apr 2016 15:44:11
Hes a hard working . midfielder would slot in nice next to halliday n Holt.

12 Apr 2016 16:46:54
I agree Murdoch's the pick of the bunch for me. He's played two full seasons in the championship, one for us. Don't get many young players decent at that position and for that reason he will not be let go. It's a hard position to play and the wee mans looked solid every time I've seen him. I've said it here before, I'd let them all go to bottom half SPFL team for 6 months and then bring them back for the second half of the season when injuries and suspensions start to kick in. Murdoch, Hardie and Thompson could all do a job next year if called on. You'll never know if you don't try them.

12 Apr 2016 15:59:22
Super Ally. Is that the same under 20's that where in 8th place 26 points behind the top of the League?

12 Apr 2016 09:46:54
Reading posts on here about moving Tavernier forward to right midfield, why not get Hutton back from Aston Vila now that they are doomed to relegation? Also, these lists of obscure players worry me. We've still got Hardie, Murdoch and Walsh to bring back into the fold.

12 Apr 2016 10:12:18
Hutton will be on silly money.

12 Apr 2016 11:39:40
I spoke to Alan hutton last year before the play offs his son plays for coventry under 11 and mine plays for Leicester he was at the game and I asked what he thought regarding the playoffs he said as a fan he is hopeful but as a football man not so much I then asked him what he thought about coming back up the road he said he would love to come back one day but his family seem quite settled down south.

12 Apr 2016 15:45:50
Would'nt take hutton back he's a total bombscare and overrated, better players than him in lower leagues, let the loaf get a decent full back. cheers.

12 Apr 2016 08:06:10
Right i'm wondering if any of the dark side are reading this, i'm getting fed up reading fans of your particular team thinking your club is squeaky clean especially over secterian singing yes there's a minority but also with your own support, also this about not taking tickets because of is as a new club etc, already blaming officials etc and the whole of scottish football outwith your own club, dam I've got mates that are pretty hardcore green and white but none of them seem to be carrying this chip on there shoulder, do us as fans agree that our club could of been run better of course we do but we done our bit by sticking with our team nothing else we could do, used to enjoy the banter but now the paranoia is back .

12 Apr 2016 08:58:01
Their motto should be "ALWAYS CHEATED NEVER DEFEATED".

12 Apr 2016 09:04:11
It actually borders insanity. They claim to be the patron saints of all things good, and always leave out their own discrepancies. Granted there's sectarian nonsense we could do without but there's two sides to a coin.

Banter is banter, generally speaking its good to have back but it just allows the people who actually believe this pish an audience (both sides) .

Highly doubt there will be any spaces on sunday at Hampden as some would like to suggest.

12 Apr 2016 13:11:14
Are you familiar with the term, "preaching to the choir"?

12 Apr 2016 13:56:10
Difference between us and them is most sensible rangers fans are embarrassed by the pathetic secterian singing by the morons in our support - even the most intelligent Celtic fans I know are in complete denial and attempt to justify the secterian singing by their morons.

Personally I wish more was done to root out the idiots who keep singing songs that do nothing but harm our great club. Our club is a football club and not a platform for morons to sing secterian songs about events they (in most cases) don't know anything about or lack any relevance to the modern world.

Celtic have a problem admitting they have a problem- Martin oniel highlited that when he refused to condemn sectarianism during his regime. They are driven by paranoia and a belief that they are somehow morally better than society. They romanticize terrorists, thugs and criminals- yet they think they have the moral high ground.

We have problems but at least we can admit them. I just hope that the game on Sunday passes without much trouble.

12 Apr 2016 19:35:40
Luigi, their misguided attempts to hold the moral high ground beggars belief. Not only will they acknowledge that they sign songs which are not only offensive to us but also others the length and breadth of the country, they also bury their heads in the sand about their own club's misgivings and seem to blame the entire world for not proclaiming Rangers as a club or maybe even for being complicit in a global cover up of Rangers' cheating since the dawn of time. They even convince themselves that any trouble before, during or after the game will be perpetrated by our fans and that their fans must ensure they stay safe as a result. No sane person condones violence or disorder of any kind but similarly a sane person will admit that such problems apply to both sides. EUFA, ECA, the Lawlords - they won't accept what either of them say about Rangers being the same club and that history is kept intact because they are all involved in the worldly conspiracy. They even use excuses that by attending the semi-final they would potentially be condoning all of the alleged cheating perpetrated by Rangers, yet argue we're a new club at the same time. Classic case of deluded confusion.

11 Apr 2016 23:12:32
While at hampden yesterday we particularly watched kenny miller and he showed yet again what a thoroughbred and top pro he is, his movement off the ball is very clever and for any young player coming through our ranks miller is a must to copy, he's now 36 years old but his tremendous physique just proves what a very fit guy kenny still is, it also proves that it was very much the correct decision by our management team to offer kenny a contract extension which of course he duely signed, his experience is going to be vital and he is the scurge of celtic who hate the sight of him because of what he's done to them in his 2nd spell with rangers, miller although he's naturally lost a yard of pace is still a very fit guy who undoubtedly looks after himself off the park, a true role model who's as fit as a butcher's dog!

12 Apr 2016 10:00:35
Agree, I actually voted for him for poty.

12 Apr 2016 10:00:35
Agree, I actually voted for him for poty.

12 Apr 2016 10:14:04
W15 absolutely on the money, what a role model for any young player he is ok at times his finishing can be questionable but attitude work rate and team play is second to none, would be a great addition to the coaching staff.

12 Apr 2016 10:11:29
Miller has been a great example to the younger players by far. Personally I would have took him off on Sunday to rest him but I'm glad he stayed on and got his goal. He is going to be our biggest I threat against Celtic wether it be scoring or creating.

12 Apr 2016 14:01:34
For once I agree with you w15.

I see a bright future for KM as a coach and possibly even manager one day.

In the meantime he is a fantastic example to every young player at the club and shows the benefit in eating right, training hard and behaving like a real pro.

11 Apr 2016 17:28:58
What about for next season if possible we convert Tavernier to a RW and sign Paterson from Hearts? Again if possible?

12 Apr 2016 07:29:24
WeeCubby, I'm not so sure about Paterson, but I am sure that Tavernier would be more than comfortable in a 4-4-2 system, playing wide right in the mid-field. Again it is all about how MW sees it.

12 Apr 2016 08:06:37
That would make sense as I have stated before I think he is weak denfensively. Defiantly buy a right back and play him RW.

12 Apr 2016 08:34:33
No doubt Tav could play in midfield but next season I can see Warbs opting to play a DM player alongside Halliday and Holt.

12 Apr 2016 08:44:40
Aye drap a winger like ohalloran or McKay and tell them the right backs playing instead.

12 Apr 2016 09:02:35
Can't disagree with the guys who've said rangers should move james tavernier one position forward on our right side and find a class right back to play behind tav, i said as much myself weeks ago on here, tav is superb going forward and a very good footballer but his defensive side of his game is his only weakness, he's more of a modern day right wing-back.

10 Apr 2016 12:03:27
A few guys in the pub were talking about possible targets for rangers next season and they were saying this is who they would like to see come in. would love to get everyone's view on this

Serge N'Guessan
Cheick Doukoure
Clinton N'Jie
Emmanuel Frimpong
Alex Iwobi
Yassin Fortune
Abiola Dauda

Some of the African ones there is not enough knowledge about to be honest. Not just footballing terms but off the field. Ixobi and Mensah have broke through for their teams and wouldn't be heading to Rangers. Frimpong no chance, alarm bells ringing with that guy. Would take N'Jie on loan, wouldn't mind Hendrie, Vaulks and maybe Alston, don't know enough about Love.

Vaulks, and N'Jie on loan from Tottenham who both probably fit the profile Warbs looks for when signing a player.
Iwobi has already played in first team at Arsenal so i don't think he will be heading to Ibrox but who knows.
