Said many of times if celtic get beat ill take it on the chin from anyone

If you watched the game then the ref had a stink made Scottish refs look good seeing what the ref let go against juve was nothing sort of criminal not once not twice about 15 if not more can accept if 2/3 things do or don't go your way that's the love for the game but the ref hand honestly been bribed for that (see it as a neural not a rival)

On paper we got beat 3-0 but kept super star pirlo hush hush watching how juve play on and off the ball is just sort of fantastic really just like a sixth sence on where each other are,

Overall celtic had a good run in Europe with next to no effort in the spl. Players & manager gained from it as have celtic now too

As a neutral what did everyone think of the game?

Should & could have must been 1-0 maybe 1-1

Lenny

Believable26 Unbelievable44

I think juve had a game plan nd it worked perfect.

Agree32 Disagree5

Brought Back Memories of Mr Sutton who used to wrap his arms around players & thought there was Nothing wrong with it! Short Memories me Old Chum.

Agree38 Disagree17

I thought you did ok but never looked like scoring. Thought Juve picked you off pretty easily, still a good run.

Agree23 Disagree8

On paper 3-0? on the pitch as well friend. not doing yourself any favours complaining about refs in Europe (as you do frequently), after years of bitching about Scottish ones, ultimately looks like you just can't take a beating. Early goal helped Juve, but they are a great team. Celtic played well, but in the way that a good League one team gives a Premier league team a good test. Commons did well, Hooper out of his depth, as were Wilson and Mulgrew, Samaras was missed. but however you dress it up, 3-0 at home is a gubbing, same as us losing 4-0 to Seville.

Agree22 Disagree9

Yes you kept purlo on his ass, to me juve never moved out of first gear and still won 3-0 doug t. s. o

If i'm telling the truth Celtic have been shown up as the horsemeat that's been polluting the Champions league "beef" lasagnes for a bit too long now.

Wise auld bear

Agree29 Disagree16

On football matters you done well. Unfortunatly mate its back tp the pish.

Agree12 Disagree0

13 Feb 2013 00:39:08
@4 it's no just us complaining about refs in Europe though is it? Well documented match fixing in Italian football. Do a wee search on google

Agree15 Disagree19

Lets not forget, this team also beat the reigning champions Chelsea quite convincingly home & away.

Agree14 Disagree11

Yes but with most match fixing in italy it was the players in teams throwing games nut bribing referees

Agree19 Disagree7

Watched the game? Naw didn't think so I can accept pushing & shoving is all part of the game that fair enough but to run hooper into the back for the goals then countless tackles at set pieces brown been pushed straight to the floor? There's a line in where a ref has a good game & bad game last night was the worst I've ever seen.

Well yes juve done what any other team wants to do in any game. Score in the first 5 min and that rocks anyway but Celtic pushed & pushed as juve juve just sat back at 1-0 with 11 men behind the ball (all part of the game but hey everyone does it) then pirlo & co start the I have cramp every 2min?

Juve were done for match fixing & only last week & this week it's been talked about how refs etc can get there head turned very easy but money

Good run all the same could have been a different game if the ref gave a pen. only had about 15 chances to give one

Lenny

Agree9 Disagree16

Anyone notice that the programme on tv 1 during the match was called Death in Paradise?
And they say the tv have no sense of humour!

Agree21 Disagree1

Lenny Lenny Lenny Refs Bribed don't thinkso why would Juventus be worried about Celtic use were picked apart at the back with some great passes. brown fell to the ground over Pirlos leg if you got a good look at it there was nothing in it at all! Forster wasn't on his usual game Ambrose was not fit for that match I've praised Lennon before but that was the wrong decision. You can Huff & Puff all you like but it won't take you to the last 8 or make the scoreline any better just like your players did last night! You knew it was a strict ref before the match why didn't Lenny stick big Victor in to tussle it up with Leichsteiner poor Hooper just got a f@nny made out of him & proved he's not quite at the level you'd think he is!

Agree19 Disagree8

@9 think you will find Juventus drew with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge

Agree17 Disagree0

Quite a few of the Celtic players took turns to try and block Buffon at every corner. None were watching the ball only interested in impeding the keeper. So Celtic were just of guilty of committing fouls in the box yet that seems to be forgotten as usual

Agree26 Disagree5

@15: that's much worse than manhandling players, throwing them about and pushing them, isn't it. Would you just suck all of that up if it happened to your team's players?

Agree3 Disagree14

@13 what you talking about? he's talking about broony being shoved to the ground in the box by (i think) no 26. then 26 fell to the floor like he had been shot. no 26 was absolutely disgusting last night. there is no excuse for the ref and every single official passing a blind eye.

Agree4 Disagree11

6 ref officials and all had selective viewing juve are even trying to say that's the way you play? It's funny because on tv yer man with the funny name even said we knew 40% of Celtic goals in Europe came from set pieces & Lennon lustig Wilson brown & hooper all tried to talk to the ref at half time and he wasn't untested but when Lennon & commons questioned him again he said if it keeps happening then if will be a pen if its in the box?!

Yeah refs do get bribed good read about it in the papers last week don't know if jabba paper spoke about it though

Your right won't get us any more points or move any further but see if juve beat Celtic 3 nil and there was no wrestling like there was & the ref wasn't just blind then I could take it on the chin but to the fact a lot of people all over the uk & Europe are talking about how bad the ref was ie hooper then brown with no 26 proves the ref has questions to answer on the same week about how refs get there heads turned!

Lenny

Agree7 Disagree16

Why on earth are we discussing Selic on a Rangers forum. Bears get a grip please.

Agree7 Disagree6

I'm a bluenose but I'll give my honest opinion - I was impressed with Celtic in the first half, they looked the better team and only the Ambrose blunder dented that. I thought Juve dominated in the last 20 mins, got a second goal when some of the Celtic players were arguing with the ref and the third another blunder by Ambrose. If I was a Celtic fan I'd be happy with most of the performance but not the result.
As for the penalty box stuff, Juve had obviously watched Celtic in Europe and noted the tactic of Hooper impeding the goal keeper and set Lichtensteiner to prevent that, in all honesty I thought standing with your arms out was pretty much an easy foul for the ref to spot but since he booked both the Juve player and Hooper he might have sent off both! In the end Juve got the breaks, you need luck to be with you at this stage of the CL.
JMG

Agree12 Disagree1

Juve sat back and hit them on the break just like st mirren did

Agree3 Disagree2

@ 19 because your own team is garbage and not worth talking about

Watched the game on STV tonight. They may have lost but ---hate to say it----they played better football than seen for a while from a Scottish team. Juventus did the job ok but I for one was impressed by the level of football from both teams. The score doesn't do the game justice if you didn't watch it. But hey, that's them certainly out now---no way back. Just hope some day I can enjoy our team being involved in a night like that. Long time to wait I fear.

Believable38 Unbelievable29

Well said mate score didn't reflect the game and celtic have surpassed expectations still great to see an honest opinion tho. good luck wi the rest of your season

Agree28 Disagree19

Well said bud. celtic played really well

Agree29 Disagree25

13 Feb 2013 10:05:48
The referee was shocking, you would not get away with holding on to opposition in rugby? Never mind champions league.

Agree15 Disagree15

Juventus let them play with the ball then hit them in behind when it hurt Celtic were just making up the numbers last night because Buffon was not going to be beaten!

Agree18 Disagree7

13 Feb 2013 11:36:31
@4 buffon was hardly world class last night. every shot was aimed into his arms, so don't give us that pish. celtic dominated the game until the last 20min so don't stat with the 'making up the numbers' crap. you can be rivals but still be able to appreciate decent football and moronic refs. any gers game I watched (obviously wanted them to get pumped lol) but I would say if they played well or were cheated

Agree9 Disagree11

@5

Would your thoughts also come into effect the night barca 'pummelled' celtic? Works both ways even for you lot, I am afraid.

bella bella Juve, keep them in their place, the old lady of turin, beating the mhankies.

Believable4 Unbelievable11

@op You're right but you have to say it was a great game, good football. Score doesn't do it justice but that's football. By the way 'their place' is a lot better than ours so don't say too much. We can't afford to say too much ---in our place and situation. But things will improve no doubt.

Agree18 Disagree16

Never mind, we will still have another £5mill in the bank, and memories of a great euro run, while you my friend will still be tapping away bitterly at your keyboard

Agree15 Disagree21

Celtic were playing a fulltime football team, not painters, joiners, plumbers. bet you wish you could play at that level, but you are as good as the teams you play so a long long way away from playing against full timers,. b

Agree15 Disagree14

Celtic looked an ordinary team v celtic in the game tonight. Juve looked the stylish team--- confident, better passing and more quicker in thought and enterprise. that's fair enough. But I am a bear and give a bit of consideration to celtic who at least, they made of a feast during their efforts for Scottish football for the time they were in the Champions League. Where are we? Berwick this weekend? Get a life!

Agree11 Disagree15

I'm not a Celtic fan, but didn't Juventus beat Rangers 4-0 and 4-1 in 95-96 when you had all those EBT chaps in the team?

Agree17 Disagree21

@5 no such thing as an Ebt. in 95. Point scoring in games from nearly 20 years ago is scraping the barrel don't you think? Celtic lost in Europe big deal. We've all Been battered by big teams somewhen or other. However why did super Neil Lennon the master tactician. play a fella who only landed in the country after a major tournament today in biggest game of his managerial career?

Agree13 Disagree3

@4) I don't know who you support but you are no bear or you would know we are playing Clyde this weekend.

Agree11 Disagree0

@5. return game to come don't gloat yet.

Agree5 Disagree6

@ 5 the ebt's investigation is from 2001/2011 no 95/96 plus the juve team then wer far better than the that played the nite

Agree11 Disagree1

Haha ebts weren't used then read a paper before you comment

Agree9 Disagree0

@2 u's will nae get past the qualifiers next season best players will be sold so enjoy your memories and the money u's have earned will disappear very fast

@10: because the papers are always right and report the truth, rather than what they feel the fans want to hear?

Agree2 Disagree4

Dry your eyes bhoys you were no where near good enough.

Agree2 Disagree1

@9 correction the spl, s investigation is from 2001 because that's when the spl started the ebts go way back further and the sfl and sfa stated in the beginning they will wait on the spls decision before deciding on the rest

. celtic one down already and I reckon final score. they lose 4 to 1. with the league over, we will see there crowds then. and we will see with the scottish season basically over for everyone now the consequences of voting rangers down. if celtic were third div. no way they would get 46k. this time next year I predict they lose there best players (who wants to play in a one team league) sign no one decent, falling crowds. they go out in euro qualifyers, no games to get excited about I pity them

Believable16 Unbelievable18

@op Pity having all this excitment for months and money flowing in-----yes, you pity them mate when watching the fantastic football in div 3. At least we play the best teams in the world. No shame in defeat to them. A great game and even you cannot deny that.

Agree13 Disagree12

Bahaha you pity celtic? you talk about a one team league. what do you call the rangers in d3? how many games have you got to be excited about?

You only need to post something positive about Rangers on here or else where to get an organised reaction of disagrees followed by a number of posts trying to look like reasoned argument against anything that the original post my say.
Paranoid will be the first shout against this post however well known Rangers Bloggers have recognised this to be the case across a number of sites and indeed so has the Club -addressed in a recent statement.
People should beware that the harder we are pushed and the more we are vilified the more the wounds in Scottish Football deepen and the harder it will become to even have a situation of tolerance let alone respect.
This cuts both ways so fans on both sides of the divide should think about this.
History has shown that organisation's or Countries that are divided fail at every level.
Once upon a time Scots were famed for our banter however it will not be long before we will only be known as a small minded bigoted footballing back water of Europe that fans from all other countries will want to avoid.
So let's leave the professional bloggers to hate each other print non factual stories and stir up trouble and let's return this site to one that has banter and rumours before the next rumour is this used to be a banter site!

I don't seem to recall the Celtic fans being too keen to help Scottish football when Rangers had a fixture backlog in the run-up to the UEFA Cup Final. But now that Rangers have allowed Juve to use their facilities we are the bad guys!
GCUK

Believable25 Unbelievable15

They must have been impressed. not! Juventus decided against another training session at MP this morning instead they had a training session in their hotel! Lol not a great impression at all. Must have been fed up getting asked for autographs from fat guys in track suits. And that was just The Rangers management team and players!

why can't people just accept. whether it be fans, officials, bureaucrats. scottish football is small potatoes, we need to explore all avenues to get money in. If the english won't have us, try a european league. There may be a day the english will regret not taking us in, our time of need. If a euro league with scots clubs is sucessful, and the aura of the english league diminishes, they may want to join us!

Scotland has one giant of a club. celtic. and one even bigger mega giant - rangers ( with a history even the devil couldn't take away from us). Its time they were allowed to show there full potential

Reluctantly I wish Celtics good luck v juventus. I am one of the fans who supports all scottish teams, irrespective, (even though they failed to support us in our time of need).

Believable13 Unbelievable32

Celtic failed to support you in your time of need? Why would they help, you brought this on yourselves and do you forget your manager laughing and making comments about Celtic when they had trouble. What about the we will spend 10 for every 5er? Do you think that had anything to do with it, you are not the same club and to think epl or other leagues will beg for you to come in is wrong cause your leaders continue to shout out hate and say how things airnt fair. Big crowd yes different club yes you don't have the same petagry as you once did, get over it and move on

Agree20 Disagree20

The European league will initially only include Celtic with the possibility of Rangers being invited to join in the future.

Agree16 Disagree17

12 Feb 2013 14:59:38
Why should England let rangers in? You go on like rangers are entitled to play anywhere they want. Football doesn't work like that and I don't want it to either.

Agree23 Disagree12

12 Feb 2013 15:03:15
Stop this 'time of need' nonsense. It's pathetic. Would you expect dell to help imb if they went under? A poorly run business which fails deserves no extra help from anyone. Woolies got hehaw help. What makes a football team special? Why should everyone bend over backward to help a football team?

Agree19 Disagree11

In what way did celtic not support you. I. e. how would they be able to support you. the people trusted to run your club did not even support our trust their on fans. the media are to blame for rangers ending up were they are as present also they are biased towards rangers and look at everything with rosé tinted glasses, Neil Lennon gets bombarded with questions about rangers problems etc which he try's his best to stay out of, celtic s 1st season without yourselves and celtic revenue is up 71%. I mention these figures because rangers fans said celtic would suffer money wise because of your departure. I think the opposite has happened as celtic can afford to rest players for European nights when they couldn't when yourselves were in spl. gujo

Agree20 Disagree9

The most deluded post on here for a while. The world does not revolve round us-----We'll never be in an English league never mind a European one. Fanciful. You'll need to wait a long time for the demise of English league too. Just get ourselves out of Div 3 for now and accept where we are. The damage has been done.

Agree24 Disagree9

If Rangers are a 'mega giant' (lol) why does Green need to hang onto Celtic's coat-tails so often?

Additionally, ask anyone outwith Scotland and they will tell you Rangers and Celtic are similarly sized clubs although at the moment, Celtic is the giant in footballing and financial terms (compared to Rangers). Any denial of this is stupid.

Agree14 Disagree10

You done well in your first paragraph but eventually you ended up sounding like a total trumpet. DH

Agree10 Disagree6

What's the big fuss with rangers letting juve use Murray park. realy don't see the problem. can any level headed person please explain the problem.?and please none of this crap your only doing it because its Celtic crap that's what is expect from a child in the school playground. honestly some people!

Agree8 Disagree3

9 why didn't you invite barsa or benfica

Agree5 Disagree4

Steven Davis today saying he would like to rejoin rangers in the future.

Personally I think he and the rest of the moneygrabbers don't deserve to come back, they could of stay and help the club in its time of need but pissed off for the money so they shoudn't be allowed back.

Believable12 Unbelievable16

12 Feb 2013 15:12:05
I don't think I will ever get this hatred towards players that left. Would you have stayed? Would you have given up your international career? Its a business they have a short life spam in the game. If they want to come back and it improves the team then I would be happy for them to come back.

don

Agree6 Disagree7

I'm a Celtic fan and think this post is a disgrace, the guy left and got your new Rangers £800,000 at a time you needed money

Vambo

Agree12 Disagree8

Did they know - green sold sheffield players left right and center, not making a mint for the club. ?

Would he just have sold them, payed fees (gentleman like) to god knows,. and left little for the club?

note: will any player play for rangers in future, if they get hounded when they leave, and have they registration in dispute. ? and the pay is pish as only 33% of take for player. ?

hello - this does not sound like a sound business plan.

Agree5 Disagree3

Steven Davis and the rest of the moneygrabbers as you call them all
took massive cuts in their salaries to keep the club going in its immediate
hour of need to prevent wholesale redundancies. i'm sure if your employer had asked you to go down the same road you wouldn, t have been as accommodating as those players. jimbo

Agree8 Disagree6

He'd probably only come back for the money too, having heard what the club is paying in division 3.

Agree2 Disagree1

With the SFA upholding TUPE regulations regarding walk away players (3x QCs). The Rangers are now open to demands for cash back from those clubs who paid for players.

Agree5 Disagree5

The players took cuts to try save the club from being liquidated along came green only motive liquidation shed the debt sell 37,000 season tickets do a share issue and raise 22 million in greens own words we are now debt free and claim to be the richest club in scotland why do the players owe green anything? did you hear green saying since we got a big pile of cash we will pay you back dated wages? no. did he offer to secure their jobs? no. he wanted to transfer them for more profit it wasnt your hour of need it was greens hour of greed

Agree5 Disagree4

Vambo think the cash went to SFA might be wrong but to be honest the only way the money came up to Scotland was the generosity of Southampton.

These footballers are paid lots of money to entertain the fans they should be signing a couple of autographs & where would any Scottish boy or girl see Pirlo or Buffon, remember seing Craig Bellamy refuse to sign a rangers fans Shirt before sure it was a city top cringeworthy for the lad who asked the wee bitter b@stard but still he should've signed it footballers forget we pay there wages if no one turned up they wouldn't be earning F All! I remember meeting Gazza when I was just a boy I hit the shakes and couldn't spit out a sentence & it's something il never forget!

Larky Bear

Believable8 Unbelievable18

So because he refused to sign a shirt he's a bitter b*stard?

Sounds like you're the bitter one if your post is anything to go by, OP

Agree19 Disagree18

No @ 1 I just think Bellamys a bawheed and the fact he didn't sign it does make him bitter if I walked upto John Hartson with a Rangers Jersey on & asked him to sign a Wales top I think he would do it! Bellamys a W@nk and so is anyone who thinks asking for a great players autograph is sad! Not saying I do it myself but if I seen Andrea Pirlo I'd definitely consider it. This morale high ground power trip the whole of Scottish footballs clubs & support is on right now is just becoming a complete joke!

Agree12 Disagree8

You right about wages and your helping pay a painter and decorator 7k a week!

Agree10 Disagree5

Larky Bear are you sure it wasn't Gazza that hit the shakes?

Agree8 Disagree6

@2: how can you say that about someone you don't know? I'm sure all the kids who benefit from his charity in Sierra Leone don't share you're opinion, especially as they know much more than you do.

It could be argued that those who label people for minor actions like not signing a shirt are the epitome of the label they have used.

Agree8 Disagree5

First off, the guy handing Bellamy the shirt wasn't a 'wee guy', and secondly, you're forgetting the tone.

He said no chance, and the guy asking for it laughed because he knew a. why CB refused, and b. that he was taking the piss asking. (God loves a trier)

I actually liked that CB said that, and would have the same respect for a former Rangers player refusing to sign a Celtic top.

The Patient

Agree8 Disagree4

Celtic fan here. TBH I get sick of stupid arguments. 2 of the greatest players and gentleman I have seen are Brian Laudrup and Michael Mols. If they passed my shop I'd buy a Rangers top (if I had to) for them to sign and I'd frame it. I support Celtic, not hate Rangers.

Also like to say Get Well Gazza.
