Joseph Dodoo goals

13 Jul 2016 09:47:51
The lad reads the game well and is attacking minded too. He seems to control the ball and do something good with it. I know it's only small clips of him playing, I reckon he'd be a good addition.

12 Jul 2016 23:32:42
Got to say lads that after watching the available clips of Matty Taylor, I was big time impressed. Lad looks like just what the doctor ordered. Great finisher, mobile and pacey that plays with both feet and can head it. Get him signed up! .

Long live McParland.

13 Jul 2016 08:36:02
Yip stuarteah, the more I see matty taylor the more I'd love us to sign him, he's exactly what we're needing and is a striker that can do the lot, he's also a free agent, I don't know what we're waiting for although I trust our management team to the hilt, matty taylor was not my original choice I wanted as a striker for us to sign but I've certainly warmed to the idea of us hopefully signing him now, as I said on a previous post he'd score 25+ with our style of play and the chances we'd create for him.

12 Jul 2016 21:48:05
Keep it up celtic, mr Rodgers will need all the money dermis desmond has to do something with that squad. Ryan christie and Leigh griffiths plate out of position to suit there star mans playing style.

What about Scott wooton? I don't know about his availability, but know Leeds were talking of releasing him, watched him quite a few times since his man utd days and there is a player there. Think warburton is the man to get it out him.

13 Jul 2016 02:01:35
Taxi for Rodgers, oh wait, the taxi driver is still on the pitch warming down,

12 Jul 2016 21:35:29
Rodgers's managerial wizardry to rescue the tie for Celtic? Bring on James Forrest and Nadir Cifti. That was 45k well spent this week Dermot πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.

12 Jul 2016 21:19:00

Laughing πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.

12 Jul 2016 21:08:07
Impudent chaps from Gibraltar have made Celtic look like Macaques.

Think they would struggle to get out of SPFL 2 on this performance.

They will of course get their act together so it will be important that we gel as a team ASAP.

12 Jul 2016 23:18:49
Worst result in British football history, end off.

12 Jul 2016 21:06:09
Oh dear!
If Carlsberg did football results!
That was yer Scottish champions lads, flying the flag as ever. I feel sorry for Brenda, seems a decent sort of fella, footy just isn't his game I'm afraid.
On another note, Jordan looks a bit of a prospect as does the guy from Leicester.

12 Jul 2016 20:55:23
celtic getting beat aff a team I have never heard of and they was ripping us for dropping points in our lower leagues. i wonder what pish they will come out with after this lol brilliant.

12 Jul 2016 21:13:58
I reckon we could round up all the guys on this site and would be able to beat Red Imps.

12 Jul 2016 21:31:45
And Celtic πŸ˜‚.

12 Jul 2016 20:53:57
Who needs new signings! Brodge is over the road with a boner for a squad that just lost to Lincoln Red Imps. Dear oh dear!

12 Jul 2016 20:50:43
Celtic lose to the mighty Red Imps.

Not doing much for the Scottish co-efficient, are they?

Still, I think I can live with that lol.

12 Jul 2016 20:37:07
Celtic look Mince tonight, this has really made my night tonight. Bring them on and let the Gers regain there rightful place at the top of Scottish football. Can't wait until the start of the season. c'mon the Gers and of course Lincoln Red Imps haha.

12 Jul 2016 20:55:54
Why wasnt the new PSG, Spurs, Chelsea, Barcelona and Real Madrid target Dembele playing against the almighty Red Imps. oh right he was never noticed hee hee nice date to get beat aswell for Brendas 1st game πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.

12 Jul 2016 21:03:38
Celtic implode live on tv to the Lincoln Imps.

12 Jul 2016 21:11:51
Wha 1.0 the celtic fans have the audacity to laugh and mock our signing policy taking players from the lower reaches of the English league, well after seeing some of that rubbish tonight I don't know why we're aiming for such a high calibre of player, seems some small islands can hide a gem or two, anyone on the Isle of Wight, man, or sheppey with the slightest footballing ability and fancies a kick around against some clowns from the east end circus, please apply to the magic hat care of the world's most successful club. what a way to round off a wonderful day.

12 Jul 2016 21:20:40
Nice One mate.

12 Jul 2016 23:23:13
All of Europe will be quaking in their boots at the resurgence of the mighty 'tic. Red Imps play in front of around 50 fans per game and every one of their players done a full shift in their day jobs before tackling Broonie and his troops. coefficient out the windward again, even Natalie Sawyer on Sky Sports struggled to hold her laugh in when reading the result.

12 Jul 2016 20:16:50
That boy looks good, i would rather have a young guy who is hungry and has pace to burn by the looks of it than a hasbeen. If we get him I think he would rip up the SPL defences. Can't wait to the season starts c'mon the Gers!

12 Jul 2016 20:09:10
Let's all laugh at Celtic. na na na na
Good to see Rodgers is carrying on last years level of performances. Woeful haha.
On a side note I'm also watching the England 19's and the boy Rossiter looks very tidy on the ball. Think we've got a cracker!

12 Jul 2016 20:42:39
Watched a bit of the under 19s . Rossiter looks pretty competent looking forward to see him in blue. Now watching "them" on BT Sport lol OH DEAR.

12 Jul 2016 20:50:20
Celtic have been an embarrassment to the green and grey tonightπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.

12 Jul 2016 20:05:26
1-0 the red imps against the green and white gimps! haha. warbs must be bricking himself! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.

12 Jul 2016 20:33:27
well it serves them right, there arrogant fans were slating Aberdeens failure to win home and away and they have done the same.

12 Jul 2016 22:12:07
They just can't seem to get that monkey off their backs on away European games ;)

12 Jul 2016 19:46:47
Watched 1st half of that mobs CL qualifier against lincoln red gimps . have to say celtic are truly awful to watch.

12 Jul 2016 19:46:01
Joseph Dodoo sounds like another word for shi! e.

12 Jul 2016 20:26:57
So is Celtic. Mon the Lincoln nobodies πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.

12 Jul 2016 23:37:59
Don't worry about us Stu88, you're lot have their own troubles to worry about like getting horsed by a team of part-timers from Gibraltar.

13 Jul 2016 10:02:55
JD looks like a good player mate.

12 Jul 2016 19:06:44
Joseph dodoo 3 first team games for leicester 1 in PL and 2 in league cup scored 4 goals looks a tidy wee player and can finish if he comes he could do well and sell him on in few yrs time for a profit . exactly what rangers should be doing . these young lads need a chance even the top players started somewhere.

12 Jul 2016 19:28:18
If Onyewu had been offered a deal, our last two signings in positions we all know we need regular established players in being CB and ST would have been, Dodoo from Leicester and Onyewu.

We can be as supportive of the club and of Warburton as we want but be honest did we ever think this would have been the way we were going?

Fair enough having a plan B and C and D but this is ridiculous. If this is the lad being brought in to lead our attack then we're up the creek.

12 Jul 2016 19:51:04
Thorn76

I agree I think we need better quality in those positions and if we do sign the guy from Leicester then we are way short of the quality needed. We would have 4 strikers none who have been prolific. 2 would be young guys who have no experience scoring at that level, Miller is getting on and won't score a lot of goals and Waghorn will need to prove himself at a level a step up from last season. Compared to the 2 main strikers Celtic have we are miles behind them.

12 Jul 2016 20:02:49
Bringing joseph dodoo to rangers ain't no panic move, our management team and our chief scout frank mcparland have undoubtedly been watching this young forward for a period of time, he's very highly thought of at leicester and ranieri has actually offered him a new contract, there's even suggestions that dodoo will sign a new contract with leicester and go out on loan for a season to possibly us although there's a good few english championship clubs that have also made a move to possibly get him on loan.

12 Jul 2016 20:29:06
Every time MW has been interviewed he's decided we need one more forward and one more centre back.

You can be as high in the sky in terms of praise and support for Warburton and Co and every fan feels that way, for now.

But a forward such as Dodoo being our last forward signed in this window is no use what so ever, any way you like to spin it. Strap for cash, young striker with bags of potential, offered a contract at the Premiership Champions and so fourth.

Replacing the Templeton, King, Oduwa role, fine, terrific signing but can see this being the last forward signed. If so, no one can make an argument for this.

12 Jul 2016 20:38:47
Agree w15 any player coming to us would have been sounded out long before they get here, I'd still guess that we could bring another striker in as this is probably Miller's last season and are looking well set for the future! I'm buzzing for the season to start.

13 Jul 2016 10:06:03
I'm thinking that JD will turn out to be a very good footballer. I'd be happy with us signing him.

12 Jul 2016 18:39:55
Anybody who wants a look at Dodoo look up his debut for Leicester vs Bury in the league cup on YouTube. Well taken hat trick.

12 Jul 2016 18:30:33
the boy Rossiter in live Euro U18 action v France starting now on Eurosport.

12 Jul 2016 18:53:46
Playing cdm. Looks neat n tidy without any glam. Very vocal too.

12 Jul 2016 19:50:40
Young Stevie Gerrard.

12 Jul 2016 20:34:21
he looks like he knows how to pass which is something Gerrard struggled with lol.

12 Jul 2016 18:26:04
Rangers signed a striker no idea who he is better Ko I dodoo tho, man Utd youth player iv heard.

12 Jul 2016 18:20:16
Joe Dodoo from Leicester aged 21?

Never heard that from anyone on here and he has been here on trial for two days.

Just hope he does turn out be Scheite!

12 Jul 2016 18:35:53
Look up the hattrick he scored on his senior debut in the cup vs Bury. Could be a star.

12 Jul 2016 18:19:16
Joseph dodoo is this the striker we've been after all this time.

13 Jul 2016 10:11:23
Davie Cooper is missed. This lad plays fast. He's no DC tho, different days now. He is a player tho.

12 Jul 2016 17:10:22
Dissapointed to see so many fellow bears on this page arguing with eachother. It's a bit of fun a lot is just smoke. Give it a rest lads.

12 Jul 2016 16:03:28
Bet of the week has to be Brondby @ 6/ 4 to beat Hibs in the Europa Cup qualifier. Anyone else putting a few quid on this one?

12 Jul 2016 17:38:10
That looks a good shout naz especially with their first choice keeper being sold.

12 Jul 2016 15:28:14
Mark warburton on skysports talking about how the media have taken the waghorn tavernier situation the wrong way and has says both are fully committed to the club.

12 Jul 2016 14:07:51
Warburton interviewed on Sky Sports and has said he is looking for two more players, one attacker and a 4th centre half. I think this would indicate MW doesn't see Crooks as a CB and more of a midfielder.

I also think the centre half will be Dom Ball on either a loan, or on transfer. This is obviously dependent on spurs deciding where they see him, or even if they see him in their plans.

12 Jul 2016 16:32:41
Considering Crooks was in league 2 team of the year as a midfielder, that should have told you something.

12 Jul 2016 16:35:41
We desperately need both positions filled and quickly. Feel we are very weak in those areas and have no cover.

12 Jul 2016 18:45:45
Biffo were still in great shape, young hardie could be the striker this yr, I hope he gets his chance, he's a natural goal scorer.

12 Jul 2016 19:55:51
Delboy9

Yeah he could be and I hope he is however it may be asking a lot for a young guy to turn into a goal machine. Still think we need to try and get a proven goal scorer.

12 Jul 2016 13:58:03
I think it's a matter of time before we sign Tom Bradshaw would be a great signing.

12 Jul 2016 15:18:54
I would prefer Matty Taylor. He scored 28 goals last season and with the kind of service our team would give he would be a great signing.

12 Jul 2016 16:04:10
It would appear that Matty Taylor has not played this year - injured? According to stats he scored 4 goals last year. He has always left previous clubs for free.

Tom Bradshaw 17 goals in 43 games with 86 shots - 15/ 16.

12 Jul 2016 16:26:36
Wrong Matty taylor mate.

12 Jul 2016 16:32:22
Bear necessities . I suspect you've researched the wrong matty Taylor. Sound like the left mid formerly of Portsmouth and Bolton.

12 Jul 2016 16:34:36
Dont know where you get your stats from but they are wrong. Just look him up on Youtube, Matty Taylor 15/ 16, Bristol. He scores all kinds of goals, in box, edge of box, head, left or right foot.

12 Jul 2016 16:36:11
He scored 27 goals in 46 league games last season.

12 Jul 2016 17:06:33
Are there more than two Matty Taylors?

I have found one aged 35 - not played this year.

The other aged 26 has only scored four goals

Where are you all getting your info from?

12 Jul 2016 17:58:57
I'm with GazT on this one although I rate both matty taylor and tom bradshaw and wouldn't be really bothered if we signed either one I do give my preference towards taylor and like gazt think he'd be sensational for us, he'd score a barrowload of goals in the scottish premiership.

12 Jul 2016 23:46:34
We will not spend 900k on him I'd love us to get him but cannot for life of me see us stumping up just under a million for Bradshaw as it's becoming evindly clear we don't have that kind of money to spend.

12 Jul 2016 23:10:07
The 1 aged 26 is correct but not the stats, try here:

12 Jul 2016 12:57:40
Good luck to Liam Kelly who has been loaned out to Livingston for the Cumming season.

12 Jul 2016 13:40:01
Yes good luck to the boy. Made me think of the boy Knox, anyone heard anything?

12 Jul 2016 16:37:06
Fd

Was hoping that maybe they could have done some sort of deal involving Knox and sending a couple of young players on loan to Livingston.

12 Jul 2016 17:42:32
From what i read he wasn't too interested in rangers i don't think the manager is interested or we would have him by now. i think they wanted 150,000.

12 Jul 2016 10:29:53
Does anyone else feel that Ross McCrorie should be given a chance as 4th defender up until Christmas and if it is not working out then look at a 4th choice outwith the club. I just feel he could be similar to what Wilson was the first time around.

12 Jul 2016 10:55:08
I think Hardie and Mccrorie should be kept and given a run out this year. Surely the manager can see that Hardie deserves his chance. He's been prolific at every stage he's played at so far and could be a potential star.
Murdoch and Thompson should go out on loan though, because the midfield is saturated with good players now. Can't see them getting game time this year.

12 Jul 2016 12:15:09
Wilson will come good this season mark my words. On the ball he has quality I think of the chip to kenny miller last season (cant remember the exact game) can pull of a long diagonal, latch ditch challenges and for his age has far more experience than the likes of RK. He came to us injured at the start of the season and was clearly missing half a yard (forced to play because we only had two CB's no one had any idea about ball at the time) . He was benched, rested and recovered then came back much better. Was for me the stand out defender in the big games (outwith the final where no one really performed) . He can be lackadaisical when playing against lower opposition but in the games that mattered he turned up. Still stick by what I say only squad playing two at the back with no defensive mid and fullbacks who are in there box more than ours I feel we are overly critical of our CB's and like all players should truly be judged this season.

12 Jul 2016 12:42:00
No one was criticising the defenders. I just stated I think McCrorie should be our 4th choice instead of using more of the wages money. My comparison 2 Wilson was due to the fact wilson was around McCrories age when he was first at Ibrox.

12 Jul 2016 13:13:13
Warburton has said were looking to add "One or two more in the coming days" so that will be a central defender and a striker. I Γ€lso believe Wilson can play and he will be first choice next season. i don't rate kiernan at all.

12 Jul 2016 16:23:44
I know you aren't Benny I was mainly commenting on Wilson the first time around which I feel is a level he can reach again. Very under rated in my eyes.

12 Jul 2016 23:28:44
Benny, I get your point, but Rangers can't afford to wait and see if a defender is good enough at Xmas, we need to have them all good enough now, from kick off.
Tommy.

12 Jul 2016 10:28:55
Jordan rossiter captaining england u19s tonight against france in opening game of u19 euros . game on eurosport at 6.30pm for any bears looking to get a look at the lad.

12 Jul 2016 10:48:21
Thanks great opportunity to see the lad in competitive action against quality opposition.

12 Jul 2016 11:32:45
Also the lad izzy brown who people say we have been linked with for a loan is playing.

12 Jul 2016 12:06:54
Nice one big t. Thanks.

12 Jul 2016 09:21:55
Warberton looking to bring in 2 more players soon. preferred to permanen deals

Sorce Rangers FC.

12 Jul 2016 12:00:00
Yeah it will be the CB and ST we have been talking about for weeks. Obviously struggling with the striker as Warburton has said he ideally would have been there in the US. Hopefully they will be quality additions to push us into next season to challenge for the title.
