I would assume since nothing has been said that Gasparotto and McKay are still out on loan so they won't be available for selection?
Some posters here are trying to suggest McCall should play them on Saturday but surely that cannot be?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed039's Note - on loan at airdrie and raith rovers respectively and will be for remainder of season. They will not feature)

12 Mar 2015 23:05:39
Wee bill I ssked on here yesreday if the youngsters had been recalled, but go no replies so ime like you mate the way some are posting youde athink they had been recalled.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wee bill

I put Gasparotto and McKay in on the basis I assume that McCall would recall them if he can, I mentioned Zaliukas as replacement if not available.

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Mar 2015 09:36:40
wee bill don't think you get the point that the two players you are talking about are with other teams until the end of the season and these guys are not as good as you are making them out to be

Agree1 Disagree0

13 Mar 2015 11:10:32
to all replies except the Ed's - I never said they were good or otherwise, I never said we should play them, I never made any assumptions regarding these two so what is the problem here? I ONLY ASKED A QUESTION.
Some times I wonder about this banter site

BANTER = Good humoured crosstalk ( Dictionary meaning )

Agree0 Disagree0

Gasparotto shone for Canadian team recently and is highly regarded, McKay when he played for us looked a very good player far superior to Aird in my opinion.

Agree1 Disagree0

13 Mar 2015 21:16:56
Kt I don't rate aird, well not on what I've seen from him so far.

I personally would like to wish our new rangers manager stuart mccall all the very best in what is a privileged position to be the glasgow rangers manager, we're all right behind you 100% slider, go get us promoted, stuart mccall IS a good head coach and he's one of our own!

Believable6 Unbelievable0

12 Mar 2015 22:29:02
Agree totally and I really do think we will gain promotion through the playoffs now, something that I had practically written off with McCoist and McDowell.

Glad too that Stuart is not going to be involved in the forthcoming Scotland games even though I do support Scotland. He really needs all his concentration to be on Rangers at the moment.

Agree3 Disagree0

12 Mar 2015 22:47:59
jr did u tip him or put a word in

Agree1 Disagree1

13 Mar 2015 23:57:41
Bigwull I think mccall was the only guy jr never mentioned as the next manager.

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Mar 2015 18:45:56
Ed do you know if McDowell left on his own or pay off and have you heard what's happening with McCoist

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed039's Note - No details announced, probably mutual consent with Kenny and there has been no announcement about Ally so i guess he is technically still in employment)

12 Mar 2015 23:08:00
Op and ed ide imagine we will hear something official on this matter shortly.

Agree1 Disagree0

13 Mar 2015 09:39:46
1966 who really cares as long as he's away don't ever want to see his pitiful face again

Agree2 Disagree1

12 Mar 2015 20:03:15
I'm not sure McCall will be able to do much before Saturdays game as he is only going to have 1 training session but I just hope he's got the balls to drop our captain and a few others my team for Saturday would be Bell/Robinson gk Gasparotto cb McGregor cb Wallace cb Hutton cdm Law rm Vuckic cm Templeton lm with Shiels, Clark and Gallagher up front so that would be a 3-4-3 what does anyone think

Believable4 Unbelievable2

12 Mar 2015 21:14:28
He'll need to make a good few changes right away to show players and fans alike that he won't be slow in changing things when they are not going well. Clever touch to mention the 12 players who will be out of contract in the summer and how they would need to show him why they should be offered a new contract. Fingers crossed

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Mar 2015 22:15:16
He done the right thing getting them in on there day off! Surely you should be training 2 days before a match maybe I'm wrong and that's the norm at clubs but I'd doubt it

Agree2 Disagree0

13 Mar 2015 00:01:58
Hearts have the 2nd day after a game off, ie., play Saturday, in on Sunday for physio and light training, Monday off, then double sessions every day til single session Friday morning, Friday afternoon video and instructions of opposition next day. Seems to be working?

Agree3 Disagree1

12 Mar 2015 23:15:12
Op the first team should be watching there peas and ques, the under 20s won 6v1 today, and seam to be doing really well working under durrant I think the new gaffer should be having a wee look over at them, maybe waken some of the auld guys up a bit, maybe the first team players should be getting taken to murray park to see what playing for rangers really means to the youngsters.

Agree0 Disagree1

Craig,

As long as he removes McCulloch, Black, Smith, Boyd and Foster he should be able to get the rest of the squad into a shape of sorts. Good managers have a game plan and train their players in that mind set every day I am sure he will get them organised I KNOW he will get them fighting. Look at Scotland under his coaching with Strachan.

Agree2 Disagree0

Letter bomber clown has been banned from any games involving Rangers for life. Well done the board in acting quickly. No place for those who only have hatred in their heart.

Kzs I think things need evened up a bit though, ime reffering to the guy that got 4 month todau for singing the biłly boys, I don't agree with the sentence, I know he should not be admonished, but c'mon 4 month for singing a song,

Agree3 Disagree0

13 Mar 2015 07:38:21
Harsh for a first offence, must have had previous.

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Mar 2015 11:18:13
Gkk harsh for first offence he must have previous, lol, honestly, do you not think the 4 month was a bit harsh, when you hear the singing that goes on elsewhere, every 2nbd week, still nobody jailed for the wane that got hit with the bottle, ahh ahh ahh but the wane was intriduced to celtic manager, ffs I wonder if they could understsnd what he said to then, cause I find his lingo hard to understand, ahh ahh but they got jerseys, what the feck for, the wee boy follows rangers,

Agree1 Disagree2

12 Mar 2015 19:46:26
i 'm wondering if there's any sense on trying to get the Newcastle lads for the first half of next season, and beyond if they do the business? just thinking outside the box

Believable4 Unbelievable2

12 Mar 2015 21:16:22
I like the look of Vuckic and was impressed with Street before his injury. I'd be happy to see them stay on. As for the other 3, who knows?

Agree2 Disagree0

12 Mar 2015 23:20:10
Noddy I think vuckic is a free player at the end of the season.

Agree1 Disagree0

13 Mar 2015 14:09:58
Edward, I think he stands out from the rest. I'm not saying for a minute that he's in the same league as Gascoigne or Laudrup, but he has a little of what they had. He has a bit of a swagger about him, and I think he has the talent to come up with a little bit of magic that could turn a game in an instant. With the right players round about him. there lieth the problem!

Agree3 Disagree0

13 Mar 2015 21:21:17
Noddy at least he tries not like most round about him, he is even seen trying to get the rest of the lasy feckers to try,

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Mar 2015 16:46:50
Now that we have a man who knows how to manage in charge how do you think our team will shape up?
I personally hope it is along lines:
Bell Wallace Gasparooto McGregor Faure Law Murdoch Walsh Vuckic Shiels Clark (Subs: Kelly, Zaliukas, Templeton, Hutton/McKay Miller)

McCall I am sure can request the return of the kids on loan immediately and I think he will return Law and Shiels to their former best levels.
If Gasparotto is not available then Zaliukas in centre defence or Newcastle man if one fit.

Believable1 Unbelievable2

12 Mar 2015 17:02:13
I'll go with that KT, apart from Law.I'd have Templeton in there.

Agree1 Disagree1

12 Mar 2015 18:16:25
Law is a coward, and zaliukas was finished years AFO

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Mar 2015 18:24:52
Bell, Faure, McGregor, (Streete or Gasparotto), Wallace, Templeton, Law, Vuckic, Shiels, Daly and McKay. Subs: Robinson, Foster, Boyd, Miller, McCulloch, Zaliukas, (Streete or Gasparotto),

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Mar 2015 19:13:30
Just a thought (don't shoot me!). I wonder if McCall might be able to get the best out of Black and Smith? Not bad team suggestions from you other posters but I'd love to see Barry Mackay given a run at last. Clark should also now be given the chance to stake his claim with a regular run alongside Daly. Callum Gallagher too should be given a chance.

12 Mar 2015 16:42:04
Fellow Bears happy we now have after 3 years a new open and honest board plus by all accounts a very good appointment as temporary manager to give us the best possible chance of winning the playoffs in McCall

I am still hoping to get the Magath/McInnes or Cathro "dream team" in the summer BUT to be honest if McCall can get this team playing great football again and blood the youth plus get the best out of the better players that were destroyed by woeful management I think maybe McCall could stake a claim for the post.

Time and results will see that happen or not.

On a personal note I wanted to to say a farewell to my fellow Rangers SUPPORTING Bears on here from RR and Les who I met when I came up with flyers for the first protest at Ibrox to wee bill ,george/edward123 and RM Gers Stewie, Naz , Gers09, DOIGER , Edward, tommy, and even the Gimp. I only came on this Rangers Rumours site to post news on what Whyte was up to then Green and to try and organise a protest.

That worked as from the original 10 that turned up at Ibrox in August 2013 we grew through the SoS movement and eventually through fans buying shares and the EGM the crooks were thrown out of Rangers which was all I ever hoped for.

I do not have time for the non Rangers fans and constant detractors of our great club that only ever seem interested in trying to post negative rubbish against Rangers, Mr King or anyone they feel does not meet their interests you all know who these small minded people are.

As such having achieved my aims on here I am off to SUPPORT my club and I hope see us return to the top of the SPFL next year. I have money on it.

My wee sis has joined here and will keep my up to date on all the gossip/"rumours"

Have to laugh been watching ssn saying that the players have been called in to meet Stuart mccoll on there day off can't believe these bunch of under achievers are given a day off as if they've not already got it easy hopefully mccoll will put an end to this get them in Monday to Friday double sessions get them fit. Play on a Saturday day off on the Sunday. No more pampering them time to start earning their money. Good luck Stuart you're going to need it with this squad

I was a fan of Stuart McCall the Rangers Player;

I was a fan of Stuart McCall the Scotland Player;

I am a fan of Stuart McCall the Motherwell Manager;

However, I am uncertain of Stuart McCall the Rangers Manager.

I do not buy into this as a short-term prospect, I think this is a long-term project.

However, can Stuart McCall start The Rangers Revolution? Can Stuart McCall stop the rot and get us into the play-offs? Can Stuart McCall get us into The Premiership; Can Stuart McCall get us into Europe?

I am not anti Stuart McCall -
I was of the opinion that whomever took on the role would have had a very difficult role to carry out next year and an almost impossible task to turn round Rangers season this year.

Anyway, I wish Stuart and his team(?) all the very best of short and long term success.

Agree3 Disagree0

12 Mar 2015 13:33:35
tommy 51 I HAVE read the papers and seen the news, and my question is only based on the fact that they state clearly that Rangers are to appoint McCall, NOT have appointed!! Obviously there are discussions going on and from a fan viewpoint having been let down so much over the last few years, it would be nice to know it's a done deal that's ALL!!!

Agree3 Disagree2

Agree0 Disagree0

Wee bill

You have to calm down patience wise the board is just in the door and McCall was only just approached you do realise he has to agree a contract and that a certain Mr McCoist, Mr McDowall and Mr Durrant have to be told to find another cash cow to milk?
These things may take a day or two however I am sure McCall is already working on who to sling out our squad I am praying McCall drops McCulloch, Black, Moshni, Smith and Boyd permanently.

Agree2 Disagree0

12 Mar 2015 20:57:55

If and When the McCall is officially on board, will we get get to see the true colours of McCoist? As any hope he had of a return as manger will be well and truly finished, will he hang on till the end of his contract or chuck it and free the cash to assist in the rebuilding?

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Agree2 Disagree2

12 Mar 2015 14:11:42
Come on craig, When all the dust has settled however long it takes, and Rangers football club can get back to some kind of normality, then i'm pretty sure most fans will welcome Ally at Ibrox, or i'd like to think they would.Dont get me wrong not as a manager but as a guest of some kind, the guy has made mistakes some honest, some maybe not so honest who knows, haven't we all at some point in our lives.Ive no doubts whatsoever that Ally is a true Ranger, and I will certainly never forget the goals he scored for this club.

Agree3 Disagree2

12 Mar 2015 15:34:40
Kenny McDowall, a true gets fan has stated that no, one will ever know what went on at Ibrox when ally was in charge, I know he was a poor manager, I know he earned a fortune, what I'm saying is we really don't know what happened,? It could be anything, but whatever it was, it sounds bad, when someone says things like McDowall and Walter have said in support of such a poor gaffer then maybe there is more to this than meets the eye,? I don't know what that could be, but I have a nagging feeling sum thing underhand was going on, I agree ally should have come clean and fxxk his contract, he may still do, I think mcoist will end up giving evidence in court, I hope so, but sum thing tells me we are in for a massive shock when the truth comes out

Agree2 Disagree1

12 Mar 2015 16:37:06
Forevereinbluejeans. We all make mistakes but we don't continue too bleed the thing we proclaim too love dry . I see that a few of the serial doom mongers who vanished off the forum for a few days after EGM are back in righteous harness with lie detectors at the ready. what's the point people? Your record in punditry and speculation makes McDowall look like Pepe Guardiola. but, as Dave King would say, there'll always be some noise out there.

Yeh, King's first non non-executive director appointment has been a great success it's up and up all the way.

King, where's the deeds, where's your forensic examination of the contracts? Where is your telling Ashley to GTF? Where is your transparency? Where is the 30 million, no 20million, no 8 million, no nothing you promised to invest?

Where are you King?
[Hint: South Africa, distancing himself from this clustermuck - one look at the books and he's vamoosh]

Todays weather warning has a high chance of DOOM AND GLOOM heading our way folks. watch out!

Agree3 Disagree0

12 Mar 2015 13:35:44
If your so disinterested why all the Questions? King and the current board must be given time. Correct decisions and analysis is key not rash and impulsive ones.
Normal accounts can take months to audit and suggestion is these are no ordinary accounts!
We as fans must support the team and let the board deal with the club in there own time and then answers will be given.

Agree11 Disagree0

12 Mar 2015 13:52:17
I disagree Scotty.

They got into power on a wave of anti-Ashley rhetoric, whipped up the fans emotions, which they have failed in follow-through on when they got in.

What time does it take to go into the safe and take out the deeds and then say who owns them? No? Why not? King already knows why not, he knew before he went up the marble staircase.

They may not know the whole extent of the damage, but they know it's going to be in the tens of millions. They don't need time to work out every pound and pence to make a start, a gesture of intent. How about an advance of say 10 million, just to start reparations and building a team? No? Why not? Because King has no plans to put any of his money in.

So where's the great clearance of Ashley? Sure they binned the board, but now they are in breach of Ashley's loan terms (a loan which is NOT being paid back as a matter of urgency, despite what George et all said here). Can they tell us whey Ashley is still there? No? Why not? Because despite all the bravado, Ashley has Rangers tied up like a kipper an they can't.

All you're giving the board when granting them "time to do stuff" is giving them time to invent excuses, dawdle and renege on the things they promised before the EGM.

Agree0 Disagree9

12 Mar 2015 14:56:02
Are you being serious Disinterested? You think the deeds are in the safe and the accounts are all on one sheet of paper with incomings, outgoings and a balance?? Your having a laugh man. If only everyone else's life was as Simple as your Disinterestedexpat.
There is no immediate rush to pay Cashley back.
Definitely no rush in investing 10M until financial audit is complete not merely glanced at.
So far I'm happy with how Mr King has spoken, the clarity and in the pending temp appt of another coach.
I hope u aren't as quick off the mark in bed lol.

Apologise for what, exactly?. you expect things to be moving in a week?Takes longer to read one of your labyrinthine posts mate. I'm a pragmatist, and are we better off than we were last week?, yes, will it be a long walk to Eden?, yes. but I will get behind King until we get there for he does something that is palpably wrong and damaging to do our recovery.

Agree5 Disagree0

12 Mar 2015 17:14:59
That's the trouble LANI. Rangers is NO BETTER OFF than it was last week.

Ashley's debt? Still there. His hold over our retail? Still there. No money or credit facilities? Still there. Piss poor team? Still there. Crumbling stadium? Still there. Absolutely no visibility over who owns and controls the club and assets? Still there. Operation debts and little revenue? Still there. No investment plans? Still there. Being held to account by teams like Cowdenbeath? Still there.

How exactly are we any better off? You are kidding yourself, along with a major part of the support, alas.

If my posts are too hard for you to read, try increasing the font size, or else don't bother.

All you said is accurate disinterested. However, if you think all of the above should or could be resolved inside a week you need to check yourself into a 'special' clinic. Give them time to do their job, it'll take years not a few days. Get real mate.

Some of it could be done right now. The deeds, and an initial token investment.

The guy has other business interests that i'm sure he has to take care of. He will be in constant dialogue and you've got to remember he isn't officially the chairman or a director yet also.

Some of you are unbelievable, Dave King is not even sitting on the board as executive, Paul Murray is chairman and he Douglas Park and John Bennett are in charge. In a few days they have rid the club of the croonies, held discussions with Magath about the future and arranged for an interim coach to come in. ITS NOT EVEN BEEN A WEEK! stop being glory hunter and understand this is a long road and the board needs time.

Disinterested is right to question things, don't you realise not questioning was how we ended up in trouble in the first place.

Seen the Daily Record front page with banner headline "Lennon Bomber at Ibrox". Why is this the front page banner headlong when there is no trace of the " story" on their website? I wonder if its just to sell their 55p piece of sh#te. Terrible paper claiming to champion Rangers plight with the old board then pandering to the bitter fans of the other mob with headlines like this, surely there is more important stories that should have the front page or is there nothing going on in the Country or world wide so let's stick the knife into Rangers again? They have had 4 years of headlines and sticking the knife in, is that not enough?

12 Mar 2015 07:45:49
It's a newspaper it needs to do anything it can to sell papers, not a lot of people buy them these days lol. Don't let it annoy you most rangers and Celtic fans think it's biased against them when in reality it's just there to create a stir

Agree3 Disagree0

12 Mar 2015 07:46:33
Who cares what they print mate? You got it right with the 55p bit, they don't care about Rangers or Celtic, just selling papers.

Cheers guys but it makes my blood boil we have suffered enough its someone else's turn for a kicking surely, the BBC is the same they hate positive stories about Rangers. I'd bet that wee tit Jack Irvine was behind the story about Ghris Grahamreleasing it to counter the good news about McCall. II'd love to meet the guys who write it, I'd give them a real front page headline "Press man trampled in freak wilder beast stampede at Anderson Quay" sounds good to me, where can I find a herd of wilder beast?

You could have jumped on the plane with Dave King.Getting them to Anderson Quay?I don't know.

12 Mar 2015 09:58:13
Got no issue with Graham, spoke up for club often during bad times, and publicly sorted out Speirs and others. Don't see how he could do our image more damage than than allowing convicted thug McKenzie back into Ibrox . How did that happen? It's guys like him, all through our history, that have caused us most grief. Couldn't care less about a cartoon. also couldn't Care less about Record. Can't report it if it doesn't happen!

12 Mar 2015 10:07:11
You can get two bog rolls for 55p you decide what is money well spent!

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Mar 2015 12:11:40
So the problem isn't having a convicted sectarian bomber at your games or that you have a director who is at the very least racially insensitive it's the people who REPORT it that are the problem.

12 Mar 2015 12:24:23
Well you lot have got the whole establishment to worry about, haven't you? And a few names for you. Scepovic, guidetti Griffith. wonder what these guys are known for?. Know your history!

12 Mar 2015 12:52:31
Graham shouldn't be anywhere near the club in any official capacity. All he will do is bring embarrassment on the club something we don't need. His Twitter comment is not only racist and abusive but also speaks volumes for the type of person he is.

Agree2 Disagree1

12 Mar 2015 16:14:06
And Lani I have no problem with any of their stories being reported, I blame THEM not the reporters, and I certainly would never advocate having the people who wrote the stories trampled by anything. I would have thought the people on this site would have been a bit more sensitive to such things .

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Mar 2015 16:56:08
Think if you read my post, it says"if it doesn't happen it can't be reported". so I'm not blaming reporters either, am I? But the mock outrage directed at Graham is laughable. and it's a religious issue, not a racial one, unless people are offended by the inclusion of Jar Jar Bink's, the famous Gungan, in the text.

Our two highly paid gardeners need to be released from their duties with immediate effect. The state of the pitch at Ibrox has got progressively worse since Alistair was put in charge of horticultural affairs! I'm sure we could get both Dimmock and Titchmarsh in on half the wages of McCoist and McDowell! Gardeners indeed!?! I'd even take Percy Thrower at this stage and he's deid!
