Why would DK not pass fit and proper test?

The SFAs rules are slightly different. They don't like the idea of someone being involved in a football club if they have dodged taxes. Been involved with a company that have went bust within 12 months of said person being involved with the company. Dave was cleared by the courts doesn't mean he should be cleared by the SFA. However I believe he will be.

I'm sure there isn't one of you who given the opportunity to go back to May 2011 and prevent Craig Whyte from taking over wouldn't do so. Despite which David Murray gave him the green light and similarly Hearts fans would no doubt be eager to give Romanov a wide berth. It was for these very types people that the fit and proper requirements were brought in. The difference is, short of Whyte's ban as a director they would comfortably pass these requirements easier than King, so you can't have it both ways. "Oh nobody protected us from wee Craig, but sure let Dave back in, his Rangers scarf is genuine." He is a CONVICTED tax avoider/evader whichever you prefer, accepted a repayment of R706m and admitted to 41 lesser charges each of which short of having deep pockets could have led to 2 years imprisonment. There is also more than a rumour going about that he also got the bulk of his £20m invested in Rangers back the last time too, ask around, so I wouldn't say there is much between him and others you have had and as yet he has succeeded in losing you one stock exchange and has failed to get you into another.

I know they had nothing to do with the commissioning of the new pioneers painting but to even let that see the light of day for 24 hours suggests they are as self-absorbed as the rest you have had and last weeks failure to maximise earnings for Rangers (£5 a ticket) on the back of a nice bit of fan PR smacks of everything Green, Whyte, Wallace and all the rest did, nothing more, nothing less.

So if you get him good luck to you, just another spiv most likely, only this one actually does have real court proven form, on the flip side his love of Rangers is also genuine and we all know which one outweighs the other for most of you, enjoy.

Personally Gaz I've never heard that rumour about getting his cash back. As far as I've heard that 20million was put in by him and was kept in the club, before it suddenly went elsewhere (most likely into whyte's pockets) There has been over 70 Million put into rangers since 2012, it's all gone, call me a conspiracy theorist however I believe Mike Ashley put Whyte into rangers in order to gain control without being punished for it, he then tried the same with Green and it failed, so on the 3rd attempt he had to do things himself. This is just my opinion. but you are right, I'd do anything to go back and stop Whyte from walking into my beloved club.

Agree2 Disagree1

13 May 2015 13:59:36
Onlyshow clearly no deal made by Whyte, Green or any of them had Rangers best interests at heart they were all literally done to keep the cash cow that is Rangers afloat, none were done with long term foresight anywhere near a criteria but I genuinely think Ashley was just one of many folk Green sold Rangers potential earning power to.

In the most part for Green's own benefit be it cash from cheap shares, his salary, bonuses for this that and the other, £300,000 bonus for winning Division 3 with a prize of £30,000 on offer, it really is that hard to fathom. Now surely Ashley or anyone wouldn't want to be involved a company that badly ran so I reckon they were happy to take their own cut of the pie while Green etc did their own pillaging, he kept the club afloat but got numerous concessions for it, all chickenfeed in the grand scale of sports direct money.

But regardless the question still exists, in black and white, on what we know for fact, is King any better than what we knew of Whyte in 2011? I think we all know the answer to that. As for King getting his cash back it is regularly referenced in another Rangers fan site, dunno if I can mention it by name but is an anagram of Braes End if that helps. :)

Rangers will not be able to compete outside the relegation end of a Premier table with players such as Lee Erwin(Motherwell) & Mark O'Hara(Killie) Nor will they be able to lure Basel's highly rated up & coming defender(Ajeti) who is under contract until next summer. We need to scour the European markets and hunt for diamonds in the rough. With no Ewan Chester, this is nearly impossible. Players who are out of contract like Swiss duo Reto Ziegler & Michael Lang would be perfect, but nobody knows the wage brackets King is willing to meet. This is why the SFA need to pull their socks up and allow the club to secure investment.

Believable2 Unbelievable2

13 May 2015 06:58:49
I'm sorry but Lee Erwin is looking very promising. I'd happily take him as a few teams down south are apparently keeping tabs on him. However, people need to stop thinking they are the next big scout/agent in football. McCall has already stated where he'll be finding the players he wants.

Agree1 Disagree0

13 May 2015 08:07:14
The SFA are not blocking anybody from investing.

Agree2 Disagree0

13 May 2015 09:23:36
people are not thinking they are the next big agent since when did we as a club accept average scot prem players from the smaller clubs these type of players loans and free agents will have no sell on value the likes or Marley watkins lee erwin ohara naismith do you see Celtic rushing to sign these players no gordon should have been signed bell no where near as good as him scott alan should have been signed perfect replacement for lewis going to Brentford some how we never signed these two big mistake
we need quality and to get that you have to pay
jonny hayes nadir cifci ali crawford that is only 3 players I would and to rangers team from Scottish league

Agree0 Disagree0

13 May 2015 09:53:34
Obvcourse Celtic. Aren't rushing to sign these players Celtic have better players and more money.

In 3 years time when players like ohara and erwin are playing in the premiership what will you say then?

Rangers fans have this snobbery that a player has to play for a big side to be a good player it's embarrassing.

We will not sign players like reto zeigler who is probably on 40+k a week.

We need young, quick, determined players who will make runs take on players and actually try something different rather than being too scared to and just passing it sideways and lobbing up the park.

Typical rangers fans not wanting to sign any good you g players but rather old journeymen on a fortune who are lazy

Agree0 Disagree1

13 May 2015 10:33:30
Craig. I think you still live in fairy tale land mate. Celtic are looking at buying Lee Erwin actually. Again he is 21 years old, he's not even near his prime and is very promising, i'd take him in a heart beat. As for watkins, he is a good player, better than most wingers that we currently have, again he is young and has time to grow. I reckon i'm wasting my time talking to you as Gordon was offered a contract,a very nice one at that and he turned it down. McCoist wanted Hutton instead of Allan, fair enough. Personally I don't think Allan is that good, and hutton is rather good with Murdoch in midfield, but that's just my opinion. Erwin is a big lad, fast and strong, and can take a man on, him and clark upfront would work wonders. Again, McCall has already stated where he'll be looking for players, so a wish list is slightly pointless. Mr Murray has already stated we won't be up at the top of scottish football before 2020,so for the time being i'll take any improvement however small they may be.

Agree1 Disagree0

13 May 2015 16:36:33
excuse me onlyshowaround I live in a fairy tail I don't think so cause I want my team to be competitive and sign the best players available to them the likes of cifti hays crawford are players we should be capable of affording king sayed to fans before egm he had the millions to put in the team before now after egm we are learning this is to be faced out over so many years no mention of that before egm
as for Gordon mccoist said he was offered deal Gordon said didn't make of that what you will as for hutton can not even get a game for us Ask most fans am sure they would have tain allan on a free I am just urging caution on this lad Erwin how many players have we had that did not realise there potential the list is endless and if Celtic are interested they will get him cause they have more money as ceexxx says above look at clark bangs goals in comes to rangers stop banging them in just urging caution if a big fee involved we can afford mistakes
ceexxx I would not say jonny hayes ali crawford and nadir cifti
are journey men and no player has to play for a big club in my opinion the just have to be good quality cause the players there now are not good enough if we go up we need different class of players we can not afford mistakes with the little money that will come the managers way

Agree2 Disagree3

14 May 2015 09:16:32
No Craig, you really do live in fairy tale land. Cifti is apparently worth 2.5mil again celtic are looking at him. I'd rather our stadium was fixed first rather than creating a team to challenge for 3rd spot. And yes King did say he had the money to do this. however like we've already been told it'll be another 5 years before we are a top team in Scotland again. There is a lot to fix before we go about trying to win the league. Also ofcourse the current team are good enough. we dominated Inverness at home, Kilmarnock too, and St Mirren, We'd easily finish top six, I reckon realistically top 4 should be our target. but we won't shift Aberdeen or celtic from 2nd and 1st for a good few years yet. Wake up and realise that we aren't the same old team we were. we don't have top quality players anymore. we are a Scottish team that needs to live within its means.

Agree1 Disagree0

14 May 2015 11:34:55
onlyshowaround fair anuf mate if your happy trotting along the league to four place then good for you the fans will not put up with getting beat by celtic aberdeen dundee united ect have you looked at the teams rangers have failed to beat this year its a joke david king said complete opposite from you he said we would be challenging aberdeen just not celtic for first year but you can bet your bottom dollar he and the fans will want to challenge celtic the second year
our club is to big to live witching there means so the need to buy players then sell them on for big profits to break even and if and when we eventually get back in champion league that will help us two if your happy with average players at our club don't come back complaining when it all ends in us in a relagtion battle to avoid the drop how embarrassing would that be if we went down a think dealing with ashley new scouts new coaches full time manager and a new squad will be priority for the new board the fans do not pay to look at the stadium the pay to watch the team on the park the stadium work will come once all these other problems are solved bums on seats equalls money to do these things this is a entertainment business we the fans haven't been filling the stadium this year that many times so something needs correcting by the board may that be 1 marquee signing or a good manager in place we will leave that up to them to decide if celtic want nadir and erwin then a guess we won't be getting none then

Agree1 Disagree2

14 May 2015 12:08:54
You honestly speak so much crap mate. What went wrong with rangers last time? Not living within our means. I'd rather live within our means and in 5 years be challenging Celtic. We won't go down. We have a team capable if a top 4 finish. We need to slowly improve it over the next 5 years. Pouring money into rangers is suicidal. We need to find a structure and build upon it. You need to get your head out of the past, we haven't been a big team in the last 10 years. Honestly never heard so much garbage in my life.

Agree2 Disagree1

12 May 2015 17:56:40
How about signing these players if we go up, I reckon we would get them all as well, Stevie May, Lee Erwin, Danny Wilson, Remi Streete, Haris Vuckic and Martin Odegaard and Diego Llorente from Real Madrid B Team on loan, probably cost around 5 million for the lot plus the 2 loanees from Real added to our own youngsters and that would be a decent squad.

Believable2 Unbelievable1

{Ed001's Note - Odegaard? The lad who could have signed for anyone in the world and went to Real Madrid because he was promised that he would train with the first team during the week and so refuses to turn up for training with Castilla under Zidane. You really think he would be in the slightest bit interested in playing for Rangers? No offence but that is fantasy, complete fantasy. Half the world would be in for him if he became available for loan, why would he join a team with no European football to offer him?}

12 May 2015 22:50:08
Haha are you actually for real. Haha no way. tell me your joking. martin odegaard.

just a suggestion ed 01, no need to jump down my throat, I find some of your replies and opinions to various posters rather abrupt and rude. Also i'm not even convinced your a Rangers fan, are you?

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - so you want me to pussyfoot around when you make a stupid comment? I am not here to be polite. When have I ever claimed to be a Rangers fan? You do realise you can look at my profile to see which team I support, right?}

I like jamie ward from Derby I think he has been released! He wouldn't cost the earth and I've seen him play for derby and northern Ireland and he is a decent young player, here's another one stuart dallas from Brentford that lads got some potential!

Agree0 Disagree0

13 May 2015 11:44:05
ED 01, Why is suggesting Odegaard could come on loan such a stupid comment? You say he could go to any club in the world on loan, true, but if he went to a big club in a big league he wouldn't get a game, whereas if he went to Rangers he would get a game most weeks, why wouldn't Madrid want him to go to Ibrox, he would be playing in front of big crowds and gaining first team experience, might make him grow up and become a man. Correct me if i'm wrong but didn't he consider Celtic before signing for Real, i'm sure he was in Glasgow for talks with them before going to Spain so i'm pretty sure he knows Rangers exist. I never said he was going to sign I just suggested we try and get him on loan. I don't have time to check your profile to see what team you support so that will remain a mystery to me which I won't lose any sleep over.

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed001's Note - are you really unable to figure this out? Odegaard considered Celtic because of their manager and Champions League football. He could have gone to a number of other clubs, all of the ones he considered had, yes you guessed it, Champions League football, such as Bayern, Barca and Liverpool. If he does become available for loan he would not consider Rangers while he has options of Champions League teams, such as Celtic, who are managed by the man who gave him his break. There is not a single chance of him considering a team that have just got promoted from a semi-pro league, if they win promotion, over a team in European competition. If he wants to do that, he can do that in Spain, where he would develop and continue to get used to the culture. That is the footballing reasons. I am not even going to get into the financial considerations of paying a player who earns more than any player in Scotland has ever been paid.}

13 May 2015 12:23:00
Spot on ed. Fatbear you sound like a 12 year old who plays football manager. if odegaard went to a club in scotland it would be celtic to link up with his old boss, he wouldn't spit on his face by going to rangers, simple as that.

Agree0 Disagree0

13 May 2015 12:28:57
Sorry I didn't realise you had such good access to the lad and Real Madrid, you must know what he's thinking and have access to his bank account to know what he's being paid, which by the way i'm sure isn't huge wages considering he's 16 years old, do you honestly think Real would pay him tens of thousands a week at that age? And anyway i'm sure they would cover most of his wages if/when he goes on loan. You are an unpleasant human being and your anti Rangers bias in my opinion makes you unfit for purpose to be editing this site. I for one will not be contributing any more while you are still involved. I expect some smart alex reply which I will treat with the contempt you and it deserves. Goodbye and Goodnight.

I'm with ed on this one(not exactly a hard decision) he is on 60k a week, and he's not even good enough for the Real Madrid B team. That teams you a lot about him.

ticket sales for game v qos looking good, on website all the stadium is limited except the top of the club deck, plenty time left till game so I expect just short of a sell out, for a fiver a ticket how can it not be?

Believable3 Unbelievable0

{Ed039's Note - At opening of ticket office this morning there were only 11,000 tickets left)

12 May 2015 14:42:35
whether we go up or not, we need replacements for the out of contract guys to maintain a good squad level.
I would go for a seasoned keeper too.
We badly need a decent rb
2 decent cb's
2 strong mf's
2 prolific scoring strikers.

who are they? that would depend on which league we are in.
We also need to bring on some of our youngsters, not just the odd game here and there

I'm asking for replacements NOT additions. If we get shot of all the deadwood, we will have no squad at all. What do you suggest?

Agree2 Disagree2

12 May 2015 18:47:27
I want what we all want wee bill, the best team we can possible put on the park, but what we want and what we get are two different things.Given the fact these replacements are going to be free signings and loan deals, my expectations are more limited.I'll be happy with a young team with an exciting, pacy, attacking style moulded from scratch by a good coach, with one or two older heads in as well providing they are good enough, and not the managers pals.

Have made up a realistic list of players who are ALL out of contract this Summer who would be perfect for Rangers for next season PROVIDING we are back in the Scottish Premiership. Would say the key positions we need to fill are two Centre Backs, two Strikers and a Right Back. All stats below are from this season so far.

Hugo Rodallega (29) - Striker - 33 Appearances, 19 Goals / Currently at Fulham, Current market value at £1.76 Million

David McGoldrick (27) - Striker - 26 Appearances, 13 Goals / Currently at Ipswich, Current market value at £1.32 Million

Tim Hoogland (29) - Right Back - 25 Appearances, 5 Goal / Currently at Fulham, Current market value at £440,000

Matthew Mills (28) - Centre Back - 37 Appearances, 7 Goals / Currently at Bolton, Current market value at £2.20 Million

Alex Pearce (26) - Centre Back - 40 Appearances, 1 Goal / Currently at Reading, Current market value at £1.32 Million

Believable1 Unbelievable4

12 May 2015 08:19:14
Mcgoldrick will go for about 6 million or he may even be playing in prem with Ipswich depending on play offs lol.

Personally I feel
Jason naismith(st mitten. Rb)
Scott allan(hibs. Cm)
Lee erwin(mwell)
mark beevers(millwall. Cb)
Kevin holt(qos. Lb/lw)
mark ohara(kilmarnock. Defender)
max power(tranmere. Mid)
arlind ajeti(basel.cb weird one I know but my cousin lives in Belgium and says this kid is an absolute worldie lol)
These players could all make a huge difference all young and most are out of contract or relatively cheap.

Max power is 19 years old. loads of potential.Jason naismith is big strong fast decent on ball what more do you want wull? Cafu Daniel alves ain't going to happen he is better than what we have. Mark ohara will be playing in English premier league in 5 years Mark my words.
But we may as well keep all the players we have it's the snobbery of rangers fans that have got us in this position just because a player comes from a small side doesn't mean he is not good enough. Steven naismith Kris Boyd(killie) gues they were crap eh.

Fed up with fans saying players aren't good enough just because they don't play for a big side.
