Liked King's statement on the title stripping nonsense, although I wish he hadn't included 'certain players may not have signed', that's exactly the point the hyenas are looking for.

Exactly the point Scotjo he did say that. Me for one says keep the titles but we all know those players wouldn't have been thereof they had to pay the correct tax.

Scotjo. If that's the point the hyenas need then they have it. From the Boss. Your wish that he hadn't included it in his statement is what this debate is all about. You can't blame the 'hyenas' for that surely?

Didn't actually, but he shouldn't give them encouragement.

12 Nov 2015 22:05:02
I'm being totally fair here but it's not about encouragement. It's about what King said. And if you ask me I think Dave King has dropped a huge clanger here. To come out fighting is fine and so is the admission statement but I bet he possibly thinks he may have worded it better now. Either way his response has opened up the debate big time. When he mentions the 'certain players' that probably wouldn't have signed then he isn't talking about bit players and 'badge kissers' who never got a game. I think it's a nod towards some more influencial players who were there at the time. It's not about encouragement of other supporters because, let's be real, you'd do the same if it was vice versa.

It is irrelevant that he said certain players may not have signed as it was already stated in court and under oath by David Murray. Murray stated that by using EBTs it allowed Rangers to afford players they normally could not afford.

13 Nov 2015 15:02:26
And hand on heart can you honestly say playing players that you couldn't afford didn't give you an advantage? For those of you honest enough to answer yes, then you can't deny it was a form of cheating.

Not if it wasn't illegal at the time.

Fab1 how can you make a bold statement like that when Lennon, hartson, Sutton, Martin o'neil and lots more of your players were involved in a fake movie scheme in order to avoid paying tax. Vargas, them all just about, and a report will be published before the months finished on your clubs dodgy land deals (allegedly) and your obtained money from public funds ( illegal).

there's another kick up today about you not building the road to your training ground, and building the road was part of the reason you got the training ground, what I mean to say is why don't your lot get your own house in order, before trying to have a go at us because we used a legal tax avoidance scheme, immoral maybe, illegal most definitely not.

14 Nov 2015 14:17:21
Yeah and Iif we're talking about immoral look at the amount of games that may have gone the other way, eh the 1989 cup final springs to mind when a certain throw in was taken in em error, actually that was more like against the rules and think of the players who dive to get pens (not just Andy Walker, Hartson and Sutton) although they take up a large percentage, but John MacDonald in his time at Rangers (against the rules, but also titled immoral) as Walker said if he was in a situation and he needed goal he would go down in the box if there was any contact.
Most players think like that.
