Well if joe garner is to be out next signing then we should get right behind him and give him out full support. Striker is only as good as the service he receives and we have and we certainly can get the ball into the box from all sorts of angles.

13 Aug 2016 20:50:58
Well said James2016. I think we can give him the chances to score goals. It will be interesting to see if it happens as it may require a £1m bid or more and we haven't spent that kind of money in a long time.

13 Aug 2016 21:37:13
Question then follows. Who is the next CH signed?

Can't wait to see Crooks play. If Rossiter continues to play that well, no-one is taking his place.

Crooks best chance of football might just have to be be at CH.

13 Aug 2016 22:11:20
I was impressed with Rossiter today. Thought he did a lot of the dirty work in the middle of the park. He never shirks a tackle and is always looking to link up. The defence looked ok in the first half apart from that free header. There were some hairy moments in the second half but overall we deserved the 3 points. Can't help thinking if we had an instinctive finisher like McCoist or Boyd first time round, he would score a barrowload. I was really impressed with Forrester. Great finish once again but it was a shame he got himself involved and should really have walked. Thought MW nearly slipped up by leaving him on for so long. Any bets he will be punished retrospectively? Tony McGlennan will be salivating at the thought!
So good to see O'Dea finush in the losing side. Plain for all to see how he just couldn't hide his hatred from the first whistle.
Good result and decent performance overall. Really don't think we are far away.

13 Aug 2016 22:57:06
I'm not convinced that Barton is 100% fit yet and he needs to step up. Tackles and diagonals are ok but in that position it's the 5yd and 10yd pass that's most important and he's giving the ball away often. Rossiter is a must and I think Crooks with him would be superb.

14 Aug 2016 04:20:04
I reckon that when fit, Crooks will take Halliday's position since Halliday is not a holding midfield player and its shows. With Crooks in this role alongside Barton and Rossiter we will be significantly stronger defensively although our lack of a decent centre back will continue to be our achilles heal.

14 Aug 2016 12:59:41
Really wish people would stop hailing crooks as a superstar before he's even kicked a ball.

He could be brilliant, but then again he could be a total flop. Only time will tell.

14 Aug 2016 15:26:51
He couldn't possibly be any worse than Wilson and Kiernan, could he!

14 Aug 2016 16:52:06
mr nice

I made the same point a few weeks back and got a bit of abuse. It's amazing how good players are when they don't play.

13 Aug 2016 23:51:11
Forrester was a danger to dundee from the start. Lucky not to walk though. O'dea is a disgrace though. He started the feud with Harry by kicking him off the ball 1st half and o'dea can't take it back. Can tell he's one of that lot.

13 Aug 2016 17:31:32
back where we belong --TOP.

13 Aug 2016 20:57:38
Steady on deecee, one wing and a prayer win away to doomed dundee and a point at home to hamilton. Think one of your major downfall will be your suspensions, might run out of players due to totting up by Christmas.

Currently only two 100% records in top league. Bhoys and thistle.

13 Aug 2016 21:21:15
ano-----but still top.

13 Aug 2016 21:30:38
Iamnoboyscout how do you work that we've played 2 games and have had 2 yellow cards Celtic have played one and had 4 cards so where do you get that we will have no players for after Christmas tell us your facts instead off mouthing off.

13 Aug 2016 21:55:54
Gers11, they could receive suspensions for two full teams and still field a squad.

Fair enough they'd all be midfielders but still!

13 Aug 2016 22:12:54
Any bets Harry will be banned retrospectively for 2 matches?

13 Aug 2016 23:49:37
Yeah rafbob I'm not disputing that but where does he get it from that Rangers downfall will be the suspensions doesn't make sense what he's saying not as if we're a dirty aggressive team.

13 Aug 2016 23:54:18
just had another sneaky peek-----still top.

14 Aug 2016 00:32:48
Agree with you Gers11, I'm baffled as well mate. Maybe he's hoping that happens?

14 Aug 2016 08:29:41
What exactly would he get the 2 game ban for?

13 Aug 2016 17:14:45
Really good 3 points today. also delighted that big crooksy is a week or two, I've watched quite a lot of crooksy since he signed his pre contract, him Barton and rossiter will be an awesome middle 3,crooks is a superb prospect, the other rangers fans that haven't seen him play will be in for a very good surprise.

13 Aug 2016 18:33:31
So you think MW will play 3 holding midfielders as that's what all 3 are?

13 Aug 2016 18:40:37
First Half was good. Second half garbage. If Dundee can easily get in behind the defence the bigger clubs will have a field day! . Defence utter mince&no matter what red white and Blue blinkers adorned Money needs spent ASAP on shoring it up. Yes 3 points in the bag but you have got too look at the Big picture.

13 Aug 2016 20:02:17
He played 3 holding mids today.

13 Aug 2016 20:04:42
The big picture is there is NO money, get used to it.

13 Aug 2016 21:00:55
No money for player's but advocates on board with further court cases. Any chance king wants to concentrate on battles on the pitch.

13 Aug 2016 21:37:00
It's not kings job to battle on the pitch, that's the job of the management and players. If he is successful in this court case then it can only be very good for the club, both now and in the future.

13 Aug 2016 22:10:02
We keep banging on about problems in our central defence but our general defending as a team has to be looked at the fullbacks aren't helping out and midfield cover is all at sea at times! I'm not convinced Warbs has given direct instructions to 'holding' mid player to actually protect the back line think his policy is for that player to keep the ball moving! We need a hammer thrower in ther to really protect central area.

13 Aug 2016 22:32:57
Blue die

Obviously you don't know much about football because Andy Halliday has never been a defensive midfielder until he was used there last year and he is not a very good DM at that so I think you should do some research before posting bull thank you very much and goodnight.

14 Aug 2016 01:11:15
Gannet - aye - after this and your earlier comment on Barrie Mackay being rank rotten and the most overrated player you have ever seen you need your bed.

14 Aug 2016 08:51:23
GANNETT10 he was ised as a dm all season so to me that means he's a dm. Good Morning.

13 Aug 2016 16:50:45
If Garner rumour is true then it would be a great signing. Scores all variety of goals and we don't have this type of striker already. I will make a bold prediction that he will be top scorer in league. Our attacking players are really exciting just a good centre back and I think we have done amazing business. The new boys will only get better and at this stage it's all about getting 3 points.

Well done lads!

13 Aug 2016 17:21:24
He will be going well to be top scorer at rangers never mind spl top scorer.

13 Aug 2016 18:48:03
If Warburton signs him, that will be yet another dud to add to a few other duds he has signed.

13 Aug 2016 19:26:06
Duds. What Duds are these gosman?

13 Aug 2016 19:32:21
A dud? How can you say that when you prob don't even know or seen the guy.
We signed players like Capucho who came with a great pedigree but was terrible. Just because he plays for Preston doesn't mean he will be a dud.

13 Aug 2016 19:39:14
Kiernan Wilson and Hill for a start.
Fod is a liability, Tav can't defend
MOH has done heehaw.

Apart from the dross McCoist had none of these would have got a game for previous managers.

13 Aug 2016 19:58:30
Lived in Preston for years garners not a dud. they finished top half championship so their not that bad sayin that think he will cost too much.

13 Aug 2016 20:04:14
Give the guy a chance if he signs bears ge'l score a rubbish load.

13 Aug 2016 20:47:55
Gosman seems to be talking mince.

If the lad signs for us we'll all be right behind it.

13 Aug 2016 20:57:23
Yes warbsbluearmy, joe garner does score a variety of goals mate, spot on, I would recommend to any bear to watch joe garner's goals on you tube, he scores with both feet and a lot with his head, what impressed me most was his heading ability, he scores regularly with his head which is something we've not currently got in our striking department, he's also powerful.

13 Aug 2016 21:01:50
Honestly have never understand the criticism of big wes, always thought he's been solid for us, confident and has saved us a lot of points and games, none more so that the old firm! Also this rubbish that tav can't defend, especially since the start of the new campaign I think he's been great and I can hardly remember him being beaten 1 v 1. Only criticism is he gets caught up the park but that's when Barton/ rossiter should be filling in for them. Honestly get off the guys back he's done a great job for us and I hope he continues to do so.

13 Aug 2016 21:33:03
Some people are stuck in the past, the way they go on at the team we have now; comparing to past players?

The lads we signed this year are far from duds and the lads we have from last year all play for their jersey.

I'm not saying we have a great team and i can see where improvement is desperately needed.

I think we need to focus on what's coming and not what has already gone.

13 Aug 2016 18:39:09
Preston won't sell for less than 3 maybe £2million. This is a no go.

13 Aug 2016 19:41:06
Same goes for Forrester, he was out in the cold at Doncaster and look how important a player he is.

14 Aug 2016 10:12:15
Miller and McKay need a rest or something.

13 Aug 2016 16:13:31
Why did Warburton sign ohalloran? The guy has had hardly a run of games at all. Get him through the middle playing on the last man . His distribution not good enough from out wide. Softest back four we've ever had as well. Barton not imposing himself on games like I thought he would . I know it's early days but I'm not convinced .

13 Aug 2016 16:32:36
Our main problem is our centre backs, sort that and we can relax a bit more! Barton and Rossiter works in midfield but I am not sure about Halliday! Going forward it is always going to be diffcult to play all of our players. MOH deserves a start but so too does Forrester and on todays performance McKay is unstoppable. We really need two centre backs because nietther of the current pairings work! Hopefully Crooks will perform one role and we bring in a quality guy to play alongside. Up front I believe that Dodoo will become a quality player but we need a striker to replace Miller. The Miller of old would have had a hat trick today!
Still it's three points away from home!

13 Aug 2016 18:02:07
McKay unstoppable? I thought he turned in another average performance same as last week. Amazing how people see things different.

13 Aug 2016 18:21:18
our weakness is lack of a focal point, you can try and blame the centre half's all you want but it's not their fault the team gets the ball and look like they don't know what to do with it. Miller is a casualty, waghorn loses the ball more than any player in have ever seen and dodoo is untested.

13 Aug 2016 18:35:23
McKay unstoppable? From what cause it certainly isn't because he is playing well he has been rank rotten in the 2 league games so far.
Most overrated player I have ever seen.

13 Aug 2016 20:40:06
McKay set up both goals and miller should have made it 3 from another pass. Not fair the criticism he gets on here. What more does he have to do? Does anybody think we would have won had McKay not been playing? Folk need to get a grip.

13 Aug 2016 21:04:51
Totally agree seeker, guys need to open there eyes and see the talent we have here. Don't think we would have come away with three points today without him. Was close to Motm imo, some of his passing was top class and he goes past players with ease.

13 Aug 2016 22:37:09
GM Your right he goes by players with ease then turns back an gets the ball took off him by the player he just beat.
Also the seeker he never set up the 2nd goal as that was Wallace and the cross to a deflection and was lucky it landed at Miller some people need to take the blue tinted specs off.

14 Aug 2016 02:12:43
And who put the defence splitting pass through to Wallace in the first place gannet? Yup, mackay. The other thing you need to realise about him is he's not a left winger he's a right footed inside forward so he will rarely go to the byline and fire over a cross, it's not what he's been asked to do. His job is to cut inside the full back and allow the naturally left sided Wallace the space to bomb past him unmarked and cut the ball back once he's been played in. First touch is exceptional, his vision is superb, his passing is superb too. Honestly, I cringe at the ignorance some folk on here show about this lad and the role he's been asked to play. Deservedly first name on the team sheet every week for me (and warbs by looks of it as the kid always plays despite the other five forward positions being constantly rotated between everybody else) . I only hope we can hold on to him, he's exceptional imo. Give the kid a break.

14 Aug 2016 03:44:52
Gannet, he never played the final pass to Miller but he played a superb ball through to Wallace who then pulled it back for Miller, these are the things that guys like you just don't seem to notice, yes his decision making is sometimes a bit off but he is still young that'll come with time, lay off the guy honestly.

14 Aug 2016 13:04:24
McKay isn't unstoppable. But he's not rank rotten either. He's one of our better player's.

14 Aug 2016 14:13:57
Gannet is full of it. There's a young left back over the other side of the city who had the full support of the fans and he's flourishing. The Celtic fans are raving about this boy and giving him every chance to develop into a top class player without the pressures of criticism every poor decision he makes.
That comment about Mckay is exactly what's wrong with a large majority of our fanbase. Charlie Adam and Alan Hutton were lambasted at times as young lads at our club whilst allowances were made for guys like Emerson and Capucho because of their reputations. There isn't a young Scottish player around who has the composure, touch and awareness of young Mckay right now. the boy was loaned out by McCoist and looked to be finished at Rangers until Warburton came in and since he's been absolutly fantastic. In the semi final against Celtic I'd go as far as saying he was our talisman that day, everything went through him and his workrate was equal to his craft. I can't rate this boy highly enough and I just can't see why he gets a hard time when he's developed into an absolutly cracking wee player for us.

13 Aug 2016 19:41:46
O'Halloran can beat men all day long but has no clue with final ball all day long.

13 Aug 2016 15:42:27
good 3 points----the result is more
important than the performance at this stage.

13 Aug 2016 15:50:31
for 44 mins we was brilliant. nervy 2nd half. but we got the job done. that's all it matters 3 points.

13 Aug 2016 16:03:16
As MW explains, final thirty minutes of the first half was great. First ten poor. Second half, one chance for Barry McKay, great improvisation from Joe Dodoo. Could've been a great goal.

A striker in the Joe Garner mould would've been annoyed not to get a hat trick today in that first half.

Can't wait to see us get that one over the line.

If he's in Monday, can see him starting against Motherwell.

13 Aug 2016 16:15:22
What chances would a garner have finished that Miller didn't?

Agreed we need a striker, but for me a commanding central defender is more important.

Kiernan was awful today.

13 Aug 2016 16:34:17
Kiernan and Wilson are both rotten! I agree we need a quality centre back but Miller missed an absolute sitter in that first half that would have put us 3 - 0 before they scored!

13 Aug 2016 16:37:26
Hopefully garner might play on the shoulder of the last defender most games we have balls flying around there and our centre forward is 2 deep. seen it in first half today.

13 Aug 2016 16:02:43
If we'd beaten Hamilton at home and drew away with Dundee I think we'd have said an OK start. Still a work in progress and we need Holt, Windass and Crooks fit and in the team asap.

13 Aug 2016 15:29:47
Thought we played well first half, probably should have had the game out of sight. Poor second half though. 6 points from our next 2 games puts us in a decent position before the old firm.

13 Aug 2016 16:16:21
Great to get first win, but be honest they probably deserved a point as they bossed us for second half.

13 Aug 2016 20:42:01
Nah they certainly didn't deserve anything imo.

14 Aug 2016 13:06:20
Honesty in short supply.

They bossed second half. If they had a proper striker we would have been in trouble.

13 Aug 2016 15:14:05
On the bus home from the game and stopped at a petrol station for provisionals Chris samba and his agent are here.
Big Mac loyal.

13 Aug 2016 16:06:31
Was that a republican petrol station? Did you still have your colours on, and were they ok about serving you?

13 Aug 2016 14:43:14
Rossiter was match of match by miles . but am worried we have no shape and no one in boxes when we put on balls but great 3pts away onwards and upwards.

13 Aug 2016 15:17:09
Brilliant player is JR. Determination, Passing, Tackling, Movement, really high quality. and to think he is only 19.

13 Aug 2016 15:47:34
I think you mean man of the match. I'd give it to the ref.

13 Aug 2016 14:40:29
Okay not great today, particularly in defence, but 3 points won and top of the league if only for the next few hours. Hopefully we get a quality central defender in this week.

13 Aug 2016 14:07:23
To the Miller haters, where would we be today without him.

13 Aug 2016 14:15:51
How many did he miss as well.

13 Aug 2016 14:18:37
Quite right recob. i'm not a miller hater and i thot he done decent today. perhaps should have done better when thru on goal tho.3 points tho and now i can go out in a good mood😂.

13 Aug 2016 14:20:45
Hit the nail on the head. Some people have short memories. Step forward Sir Kenny.

13 Aug 2016 14:28:47
Probably sitting on a 4-1 win.

13 Aug 2016 15:01:26
The one player today that could have cost us dearly was forester he should have been sent off and warburton knew it.

13 Aug 2016 15:14:03
Miller was awful, we need a real striker.

13 Aug 2016 15:14:36
Yes Miller scored a good goal. we cannot continue to start him. and i'm not sure Dodoo is the answer either just yet.

13 Aug 2016 16:04:59
I'm not saying Miller should start every week but some of the criticism towards him has been shocking. His goal was the difference.

13 Aug 2016 16:18:51
For once I totally agree with you recbob.

Without Miller today we wouldn't have three points. That simple.

13 Aug 2016 16:21:26
Millers done a good job for us but he's nowhere near the player he was, can carry players and continue to play them because what they've done for us in the past, if that was the case we could get gough back to shore up that defence!

13 Aug 2016 16:43:23
With a quality young striker and two decent centre backs todays game would have been over before half time. Miller still has the knack of scoring goals but the Miller of old would have had a hat trick. Still a good guy to have on the bench and while I am sure that Dodoo will also come good he lacks experience. Money needs to be spent to bring in a good quality striker.

In defence we desperately need two centre backs. Kiernan is poor but it is difficult to tell which of him and Wilson is the worst! Objectively Crooks can slot in at centre back and then we just need one quality signing alongside him although I do worry that Crooks would be wasted in Central Defence.

13 Aug 2016 18:04:39
Recbob

Not sure about people on here being Miller haters? Who are they and want exactly have they said about him?

13 Aug 2016 14:24:35
Think kenny brings a lot to the table on and off the park. We were not at our best 2nd half but 3 points at a hard venue is all that matters. Also I've really enjoyed big Sutton on BT sports a think he's straight to the point so it's good to see him eventually coming out of big amorusos back pocket. Was at ibrox last week and wasn't overly convinced by the performance but I've watched it twice on the telly and we are still a work in progress. Again not keirnans biggest fan but if I'm honest I think him, Wilson and hill have been relatively good. Just my opinion.

13 Aug 2016 14:07:08
I missed the first half and the goals but the 2 nd half was sore on the eyes. The best player Harry Forrester had to go of before he got set off, this comment is going to upset one person at least can anybody tell me what the **** Michael O'Halloran did today never moved more than 2 yards from the touch lline wene he cam on hopeless!

13 Aug 2016 14:20:16
Forrester definitely wasnt our best player today bongo. do agree with u on moh tho bud.

13 Aug 2016 14:37:35
Bluedie
I'll take your word on that as I said I only see nothing he 2nd half so maybe I shouldn't have said that but I ain't moving. on my MOH comment just didn't look interested and if he's going to do this all the time then he can GTF .

Who was our best player because second half hard to pick one!

13 Aug 2016 16:20:28
Said at time MOH was not good enough and a waste of money. He's done nothing to prove me wrong.

Yes he is fast, but he runs head down and has no end product, whatsoever.

13 Aug 2016 17:20:45
Rossitet or tav bongo.

13 Aug 2016 13:09:59
We all know the defense needs strengthening but if the back four stayed on their feet and showed a little aggression it'd be a start!

13 Aug 2016 13:52:55
The back 4 are shocking. They just can't defend. Has davie weir any input into training.

13 Aug 2016 14:08:28
Ffs does the hat not see that Kiernan and Wilson are total mince, am going to have an efffin heart attack, am away to the ffffin petro station to see if there are any centre haves.

13 Aug 2016 14:08:56
Good result lads. put thru the ringer again 😰.

13 Aug 2016 14:12:39
Clearly not. Whole game was woeful.

13 Aug 2016 14:12:42
It doesn mean because davie weirs ther we're going to b solid. big eck had a few shocking defences (bernard, muscat, fan fan) and he was a great centre half. its 1 thing some1 telling them and then actually doing it. super ally is the greatest goalscorer in our history but his teams couldn't score in a brothel wit a grand in ther pocket.

13 Aug 2016 14:22:07
Heart attacks all round stuzo lol. as i said earlier that's what supporting rangers is all abt.

13 Aug 2016 16:21:25
Kiernan was dreadful today, as he was last week. Wilson makes errors but I see him as the better of the two.

13 Aug 2016 16:46:42
Neither Wilson or Kiernan are good enough. Wilson seems to have stalled then gone backwards since the days when he played for us before he went to Liverpool. As for Kiernan he is a bruiser of a guy but he doesn't use his physique to his advantage. Both are too slow, neither can tackle and neither can head a ball! Apart from that they are ok!

13 Aug 2016 13:08:30
First half and although we are ahead I think Wilson and Kiernan are playing awful miss timing challenges by Wilson and kiernan easily giving the ball away with sloppy passing I am always tense when teams come at our defence or a corner/ free kick it's just not good enough. Halliday hasn't done anything either apart from have two very weak shots. Hats off to Forreter, Wallace and McKay looking very sharpe and millers finish was great but think should bring hill on for either wilson or Kiernan and Kranjcar on for Halliday at half time and Dodoo later on for Miller in second half.

13 Aug 2016 13:58:55
I haven't even heard Kiernans name mentioned during commentary!

13 Aug 2016 14:10:08
I thought Wallace was the worst of the lot. Kiernan gives the ball away far too much but imo Wilson and Tav played ok.

13 Aug 2016 14:15:16
Kenny i agree wif some of your points mate. being tense is what supporting Rangers is all about lol. i mite get shot down here but don't fink forrester was good today and halliday was mince. my motm was a toss between tav and rossiter.

13 Aug 2016 15:34:58
RFC you can't slag off Lee stayed for the journey Wallace on here you will get lynched, I don't rate him never have never will.
He does the same as tav and tav gets criticised on here a lot and LW doesn't.

13 Aug 2016 16:22:50
Drunkenbastard - to hear Kiernan name in commentary look out for the words bad, mistake and by.

14 Aug 2016 09:01:56
FFS Gannet10 did i fink laudrup n gazza wer overrated aswell.

13 Aug 2016 12:50:32
After watching last season and a few games this season, does anybody else think that Harry Forrester should be given a chance to play as centre forward? Especially with Waghorn injured.

13 Aug 2016 12:59:41
Was thinking this myself, he's been hard to deal with when up high. Seems an obvious option to me. In my opinion millers not good enough for us anymore. We can't rely on him.

14 Aug 2016 13:50:33
How can u say we can't rely on miller when we've just relied on him to score the winner.

13 Aug 2016 12:05:45
Not wanting to have a go at the manager but can't help but disagree with his starting 11. Hill scored 2 goals for during the week he will be pumped up confidence high also young Dodoo should be starting. Halliday I don't think should be playing from the start and also Miller as well should be a used as a super sub.

13 Aug 2016 13:04:05
Halliday does nothing for me, his touch is pish! Miller should of had a hat-trick and it#s only half time, good finish for the goal but poor otherwise!

13 Aug 2016 13:09:37
Completely agree with you there mate spot on.

13 Aug 2016 14:17:37
Agree, really surprised that Hill did not play today. Goal conceded was shocking, straightforward corner that we could not defend. Wonder if the young boy Bates would be improvement at central defence. As normal Kiernan lacked physical presence and Wilson did not look fit. Astonished that Hill did not start.

13 Aug 2016 14:24:45
Thank goodness we didn't get beat today or this site would b in meltdown lol.

13 Aug 2016 11:40:08
Again with Miller and Halliday! Fully behind the lads but want to see a performance today that validates the fact they are apparently first choice!

13 Aug 2016 12:06:17
Would of started Dodoo and brought Kenny on later in the second half got to give the boy Dodoo a run to see if he can perform and find his feet in the team.

13 Aug 2016 11:39:45
So millers upfront again today, let's hope he has a blinder, I know he's getting on now, but I would love Kenny to have a great season as he's a grafter who gives his all.

Warbs claiming that Birmingham got Greg Stewart on the cheap for £500k. To me i think he wanted him but the £500k asking price was out our budget. Only my opinion.

13 Aug 2016 10:25:24
Just out of curiosity has he been heard saying that it is it only paper talk?

13 Aug 2016 10:34:48
You could be right. I know it's not wise for clubs to disclose their budgets or targets but after the fact why not let the fans know a bit of the story? The board promised greater transparency when it came in and we all welcomed that.

13 Aug 2016 10:43:02
yeah it was on the bbc gossip column.

13 Aug 2016 11:28:46
What do yous make of the team for today lads?

13 Aug 2016 09:27:51
Surely joe garner isn't our sensational signing? If I'm being honest I don't know much about the lad but surely we can aim a bit higher? Collectively as a board and backers we must have money somewhere to invest in players? I'm not talking mass spending like the advocaat days but surely a couple of mill somewhere?

13 Aug 2016 09:43:05
I actually think this is a very good signing if we can pull it off. He scores goals with his right foot, Left foot and his head. A very good penalty box striker. I am will be delighted if we sign him. It's stop me moaning which takes a lot to do.

13 Aug 2016 09:53:33
Im not convinced about this guy. 6 goals in 44 games last season, However in Warbs i trust.

13 Aug 2016 10:28:00
Despite the 44 games he was hit by injury last season. Pretty stop start. The 2 previous seasons he was on fire. Would give us something different, plays more between the lines of the box rather than an in to out like Waggy and Dodoo.

13 Aug 2016 10:50:50
What don't you get about the fact we don't have a "couple of mill" to spend? There never was or will be any sensational signing!

13 Aug 2016 10:51:09
Tbf the guy looks as if he can score with both feet from in and outside the box and is good the air. maybe we are leaving to parade rvp in deadline day as well 😂 joke wishful thinking.

13 Aug 2016 11:46:08
Surely we can do better than this.
In fact i would rather go with what we have than spend money on him, especially when a defender is needed far more.

13 Aug 2016 12:08:29
aye let's sign a defender when we have some and not a striker when we have Miller.

13 Aug 2016 09:10:12
Water under the bridge now I know but I take the barrage of comments about Ball not being able to split the Kiernan/ Wilson partnership as evidence he wasn't good enough with a big pinch of salt.

I watched a couple of his games at CB and he was pretty convincing, had a John Stones about him and in my opinion streets ahead of Kiernan. He wasn't given the chance he deserved to partner Wilson. Only 21 but he would have answered a lot of questions about our backline weaknesses.

13 Aug 2016 09:42:36
That is the strange thing about all this. We all know that MW did not give a lot of chances, so bearing that in mind why would they then be desperate to sign him, does not make sense to me.

TBBaB.

13 Aug 2016 10:19:31
Hi is it me or when has the manager ever said he wanted to sign Ball.

13 Aug 2016 02:36:59
Famous last words that scottscottish b cause Stewart and hemmings have left hasn't stopped us being very poor at the back we need a dominant centre half and until such times that we get one we will struggle.

13 Aug 2016 07:10:20
Quite right ger1.Hamilton are relegation faves and had 10 players missing on Sat and we striggled to break them down. our defence couldn't keep weanz out a close so don't think we should be getting to far ahead of ourselves.

13 Aug 2016 08:24:37
All this mass hysteria about drawing against Hamilton sickens me. There will be results like this for both us and Celtic. As my father in law said last week after the game. Get your house on Hamilton getting beat there next game and guess what, pumped out the cup by Morton. We as rangers fans really need to calm down. Yes we need a CB and a CF but I'm pretty sure it isn't as easy to go out and get one like you are all suggesting. We are going to have to live within our means for the next couple of years, buy low and sell for as high as we can. Instead of ripping into the team let's get behind them and cheer them on, a lot of folk here seem to have short memories of what we were like before MW came to the club.

13 Aug 2016 08:32:28
Couldn't agree more James well put👍🏻.

13 Aug 2016 08:43:13
Todays score will be the pointer of how our season will pan out. we must win at least half of our away fixtures if we are to go for top or second spot.

13 Aug 2016 09:10:58
Surely you mean that you need to live within your means, full stop, not just " for the next couple of years "?

13 Aug 2016 09:29:38
Agree Ally, would be good to win convincingly. First though let's just win.

13 Aug 2016 11:32:34
Mass hysteria after one league game pretty much par for the course for some of our fans, likewise easily beating Stranraer somehow made us contenders. Fickle or what?

Anyway, I reckon we will win by two clear goals today.

13 Aug 2016 01:31:56
Anyone heard anything about Adam La Fondra?

A work mate of mine in Leeds seems to have heard there's a link with us. not sure of there's any substance in it, just thought I'd put it out there.

The guys surplus to requirements at Cardiff with a year to run in his contract. only 29 and fits the bill - no transfer fee and a proven goal scorer.

13 Aug 2016 09:33:15
I personally would have adam le fondre at ibrox in a minute, he's a goalscorer and would score a barrowload of goals up here in scotland!

13 Aug 2016 07:10:03
Should go for la fondra, scored a lot of goals for reading.

13 Aug 2016 07:41:02
If he has a year left on his contract there will be a fee then.
