Alright ed, first post dice registering. I seen Neil Lennon said that he doesn't think a team has gone a full season undefeated and hopes his team can achieve this. I may be wrong but did we not do this in the late 90s with porrini etc. cheers ed,

{Ed039's Note - Welcome on board Muir. 99-2000 season Rangers lost games but never undefeated, I think 94-95 season Celtic lost only 1 game all season but finished 4 points behind Rangers. It may have happened way back when but not in recent memory)

The team that keeps blowing trebles, I think they will lose a game, bottle goes when it gets to the nitty gritty, Rangers went undefeated, circa 1890, yeah I know. long time ago, but hey ho. Rangers Always.

Agree0 Disagree0

N1 bbbp we didn't just go undefeated that year we won everygame no draws though back then the league was made up of only 18 games but I think though long time ago we done it I think the only team in our wee country c'mon the bears lol

I'm all for rangers getting their scouting network put in place and think this is most definitely the way our club has to go, we must start finding the best young talent that we can get our hands on & this should have been happening yesterday if you know that I mean but I still would have no hesitation in bringing back our greatest goalscorer in modern times, kris boyd, he's still at an age where we could easily give him a three year deal, he would without question score a barrowload of goals for us in what will be a difficult league for us next season ie. the scottish championship, boydy is also proven in the big league ie. 15 goals in a mediocre kilmarnock team, I've never seen him looking as fit & trim as he is now, he's also a lot more mature, it's a no brainer for me and I know there's a lot of english championship teams looking to sign him, your thoughts

We are cutting the wage bill in the summer not adding to it, Boyd is only good in a 4-4-2, ally will use the 4-5-1 a lot next season.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with bigram house could do a very good job for us in what is going to be a tough one next season. as for cutting the wage bill surly we could off load our dead wood. and holiday by then Dave king will be in place

Agree0 Disagree0

BIGRAM you say mediocre killie team so what's this rangers team in your eyes?

@02. We didn't manage to offload any deadwood during January and the feeling is we can't afford to pay off their contracts. How will we manage the same in the Summer? Use up the ST money?

Agree0 Disagree0

Last time I looked our under 20 team was top of their league, just an observation Big R!

@5 I've been Hoping Jamie Burrows will get a chance up front in the near future for the 1st team.

Agree0 Disagree0

OP you are correct however some supporters myself included do not think Ally will ever really give youth a chance. We didn't need scouts to spot young Andy Robertson who played against us for Queens Park 4 times last season and United picked up this amateur for nothing and on very low wages and who is apparently on the brink of a Scotland call up. And before the guy Cass comes on here with the nonsense that he would not get a game in stead of Wallace he could have played left midfield and young Lewis the one youngster to really get a chance could have played in his preferred position in central midfield. But no Ally preferred to sign an older more expensive guy who flopped in his first time at Ibrox- Steven Smith. The under 20's under Durie are top of the league having won 9 times on the bounce but will any of them get a chance? I do not fully blame Ally it is learned behaviour from Walter who had to win the League to get us to the Champions League every season to keep us afloat to pay for Murray's debt laiden strategy.
Do not get me wrong I hope Ally is a success because he is the manager of my team but do I think he should be the manager and do I think we will see a young adventurous exciting footballing side under Ally- no I don't sadly. But I will be delighted if he proves me wrong.
I do agree with the other doubters of the managers ability when your total players wage bill is circa 70 times that of the teams you are competing against you should be winning the third worst league in Scotland.
But another worry would be why would the parents of talented youngsters and their advisers agree with these Ibrox Scouts that Rangers are the club for them when we have form for cheque book management and not for nurturing and supporting youth? So agreed it should happen but to avoid just layering more cost on the club you would need the youngsters to get a real chance. McAusland and Gasparato should be ahead of Faure Forster and Cribari but ain't - so that I would suggest is the answer. Ally will go for experience EVERY TIME

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree the league is more or less won give youth a fling

Agree0 Disagree0

We should have signed Robertson to play left mid? He's a left back, if he plays for scotland it will be at left back not left mid.

Agree0 Disagree0

Johncass you talk total nonsense, Steven whittker is a right back that plays left back for Scotland, think he played right midfield when hutton was at ibrox aswell, come to think of it did Steven smith not play left midfield at dunfermline?

Agree0 Disagree0

He would have fitted in perfectly at Ibrox then because Ally plays lots of players out of position. Richard Gough started out as a centre forward. Big Jig came to Ibrox as a left midfield. He ROBERTSON is currently a left full back but first and foremost he is a very good footballer. If you watch him play you will see he spends as much time in the opposition half as he does in his own half and he is a natural left side FOOTBALLER.
When he plays for Scotland it will probably be at Left back but that would be because Gordon Strachan rates him as highly or more highly than Wallace. Have you not heard of the Dutch concept of total football? The first thing is to get players in who can play football. You and Ally prefer to play a failed left back in midfield who is older and costs more and has no residual sell on value.
Your "logic" is absolutely flawed in my opinion but it's your opinion which I 100% disagree with.

Agree0 Disagree0

N9 jc youve got to remember ally likes them to play in a diffrent possition than there prefered position lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Sweep1
Ur right mate Smith has played a couple of games as a left midfielder and has been poor in all of them. It would have been better maybe to play Wallace as a left midfielder and Robertson behind him however our manager would rather sign a more expensive player with no sell on value. Same applies with Foster why sign him when McAusland would have been a better bet. Simonsen instead of Gallagher too was baffling. Don't expect young Gasperatto to play on Saturday either as Ally will go with Ageing Cribari. No wonder many fans have a go and can all Ally supporters please come on and justify why these players are in before the youth?

Agree0 Disagree0

Why do a talk nonsense am no the one wanting to sign a young boy to play him out of position so another boy can play in his suited position. Nbear are you talking about smith he's played about 3 times all season.

Agree0 Disagree0

@6 Me too. Burrows is the quickest player I have seen at the club in a long time. He's also big and physically strong, so why not give him a run out?
