Well the result is what everyone expected with a little improvement on the performance.

Hibs where a shambles last year, what did they do, get a new manager with vision, get younger players, good signings found by decent scouts. Play as a team, play good football. They can pass, they can tackle they play as a team.

Yes they were dire at the start and we all laughed at them. What was our attitude "this will be a canter, no need to up our game"

Oh how wrong we were. Along comes Hearts and Hibs and kick our A$$

This is all down to our Directors for looking after themselves and their pals and raping our club of finance and respect, our so called management team who DID NOT, DO NOT & WILL NEVER have a clue on how to develop a team change tactics. Now the most hurting point the players attitude that is nothing more than giving the "2 Fingers" to the fans

Don't get your hopes up for promotion, We WILL NOT make the play offs

Sorry but the reality is the Championship for us again for next 1- 2 seasons.

Unbelievable £24 million to become the 15th best team in Scotland. Hold your heads up Board, Management and players you have done an amazing job of robbing us and ruining our football club. God knows how much it will cost and how long it will take to fix McCoist and his crews legacy, never mind the slimeballs in the Boardroom and their legacy, I'm scared to even find out the damage that long line of crooks have done with their salaries, pay offs, consultancy fees, contracts for the boys and penny shares. We have a massive mountain to climb.

End of this season if not "end" of Rangers.

King budgeting for another season in Championship - no surprise there - clear out required now.

Does this "crime" go unpunished or is Scottish football finished as well?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I honestly feel that another season in this league would give us the chance to build the platform we need to be a better team in the spl.

Agree0 Disagree0

Rangers will survive and so will Scottish football. Three games in hand and still in with a good chance of play-offs. This is despite clueless ally and Kenny. Pensioners Miller and Boyd and Del Boy gree. Regardless of latest results, the team did earn the points to be in the position they are in. The club just seem to stumble from one disaster to another. Is King the answer? Personally I don't think so but he can't be much worse than what is there now. The Yank sounded good and did not play the "I love Rangers card." He is a business man who understands the need for financial prudence and the need for the a sporting group to supply a marketable product and that's what is needed right now.

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Feb 2015 08:09:49
Very positive - let hope they will survive!

But I do no call surviving as being beaten 3 games on the trot - whipping boys to Hibs defeated 3 times (9-1 on aggregate!)

7 defeats out if last 12 games!

This is not the Glasgow Rangers I supported as a boy through the thin years of the 1960's until one Derek Johnstone scored in league cup final!

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Feb 2015 21:44:31
first time Hibs keeper used the ball fast, they scored
Slovenian guy thinks he is a star but he's not
Boyd and Miller finished a long time ago

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Fwiw I said on here away at the start of the season ant manager worth his salt would play a counter attacking system and beat us, that's what happened last night again, the hibs players punted the ball up the park into empty spaces know there young strikers would be first to the ball.

Agree0 Disagree0

Fwiw I also said after our first couple of games that we would not qualify for the play of place, I hope ime wrong on that, but would any of us gamble on that play off spot? I wonder.

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Feb 2015 21:35:31
7th defeat in 12 games -

"Too little too late tonight"

Time to send the boys from Newcastle home and put more on gardening leave!

We will be in the Championship next season - "thanks MA"

Time to BLOOD the youngsters stick with players who will be here next season!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

14 Feb 2015 07:11:46
can you please tell my why we need t send the newcastle payers home??

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Feb 2015 08:04:38
1) Will they be here next season never mind after EGM?

2) who will be playing for Rangers next season given 95% (?) are "gone" at the end of the season and other 5% are either on the bench or in the stand?

3) in the event of promotion real possibility of relegation with shell of play squad left or extensions given to "failures who cannot fail again"?

4) the 2014/15 will go down in our history as the "lost season" on our journey back.

5) the preparation required this season will have to be "repeated" next season because of our failure - this preparation best not done in Premiership - more highly paid footballers bought that cannot produced under pressure?

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Feb 2015 21:34:45
it's awful hard to climb out of quicksand, but I fear if we survive the EGM we will still be in the same division next season.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

13 Feb 2015 21:44:18
Much better performance tonight, pity about result unlucky not to get a penalty. Player's are nowhere near fit enough.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Very little quality though mostly hopeful balls into box.

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Feb 2015 22:06:29
How low have we sunk when we are all chuffed when our team puts in an effort for a change ffs the play for Rangers n get between £3000 and £7000 a week. I think we could expect a bit more than effort and fight for that!

Agree0 Disagree0

You can all laugh at this, but Jig should play up front for the time being and see how it goes, the forward line is the worst ever, I think he is more likely to score than the others and has proved it regardless of doing it in the leagues below.

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Feb 2015 21:43:24
Can't see us catching hearts now but at least with this fight and desire we can win play offs!

I am on record as saying 2nd year in championship would not be a disaster however the right manager installing a bit of dig and fight and we could hold our own in premier league.

Got to get right manager I don't know who but mcall for me would do job, certainly would not like to go into changing room having not tried.

2 final points - where has this attitude and tempo been
Chris Boyd - OMG how could leagues all time scorer be so bad and a self proclaimed rangers fan, he should hang his head in shame, never done it for rangers!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Oh so unlucky. KMcD took off the best player, the most skilful player, someone who could get a goal?
Obviously out of his depth and using the game to get sent on garden leave.
Good show though especially the goalie, and they played well. Stats show that as well, but it's goals that count.

Agree0 Disagree0

2nd or 3rd at best mate. But we need to find a goalscorer as there were chances created tonight and kris boyd just isn't the answer anymore. Neither is daly.

Agree0 Disagree0

Davey - hugh : Correct, none of our strikers are the answer, felt Aird should have played on Sunday and tonight as although he ain't great he would have had a point to prove after old firm game and he is always likely to create chances. Vuckic is good and maybe could have played right up front, but we should have got a striker in at the deadline, apart from Law who is now also not scoring you wonder where the next goal will come, shows how much we miss McLeod, although money wise it made sense.

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Feb 2015 07:34:55
money wise it made sense?, r u joking m8,? money wise it made no sense whatsoever

Agree0 Disagree0

I was meaning more that they felt they had to take in some transfer money and that was the best they were going to get, I didn't think it was great, wise business sense either.

Bears does anyone think mcdowell has been forced to play Faure (banned for 'Cakegate' truth story) and Zaliukas against the supersalary masterplan of oldpals forever? How long before McCulloch returns no matter what!
For me just Faure crosses alone stand out a mile as professional compared to Blackdonkey plus Zaliukas in defence is a DEFENDER.
The team looks balanced even with lump of wood 3 - Boyd in team (Jig - LW1 and Black - LW2), we are playig better despite mcD lack of game plan as SOME players fighting to get into team
When we get a manager after EGM he can make this squad into a team like Strachan did with Scotland last year
Clark for Boyd or Daly even is a no brainer shame SFA didn't ban Boyd for his miss agaionst Raith

Goals given up too easily again, which makes it all the more galling as we played well, anyone know when Bigramana and Ferguson will be fit and when will someone put the ball in the net?

I was late home but what I saw it was better I said a while ago faure was a better right back than foster murdoch not bad either definetly better

Line-Up vs Hibs (4-2-3-1) - Robinson - Faure, Zaliukus, McGregor, Wallace (c) - Murdoch, Hutton - Vuckic, Law, Miller - Boyd

Robinson in, that's an improvement for a start. I predict 1-0 Gers, Vuckic.

One nil down, trying hard but no quality, miller off is a big blow, god knows how mcoist was allowed to sign another pensioners in zaliukas, who is lost, and finished long ago,? Its seriously difficult to comprehend? I can see us collapsing in 2nd half, we have without doubt tried hard, but we are missing miller already, he was grafting hard, not out. Of this but need to be tight at back, unlike zally

At this moment in time I now do not want to see Rangers progress into the SPFL Premiership. Hard as it is to say, I have to face reality - the team is just not good enough, even though the Premiership is very very poor, St Mirren would pump them, so they would.

I therefore think that we need another season in The Championship to get our infrastructure in place.

So very very sad.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I totally agree royal blue but wee can safely say wee have no chance of going up anyway, just hope wee boot out deadwood and rebuild wisely next season with a blend of youth and experience and guided by a good expereinced manager

Agree0 Disagree0

I would like to add that I do not now think we will have a manager in place until King and The Three Bears take over becomes a reality. If they succeed then their manager will need backroom staff, coaches, finances, scouts and oh decent players to mount a serious challenge.

This cannot happen overnight and will need a season to bed them in and get a good team spirit and a winning spirit playing with confidence looking forward to the following season's challenge - not this stuttering and spluttering - this is not Rangers - that has to be rebuilt.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think we need a year to recover, although I wouldn't be happy to remain in championship for another year, I don't think it would be a bad thing. We win the EGM and we would have full stadium every week, more money in the coffers and people on the board who would run the club properly. let's get back to where we belong, no matter how longs it takes

Agree0 Disagree0

On the playing side they are being poorly coached since WS departed. Why have so many players gone down hill.
On the other side we have to be positive and get promoted, that is where we belong and that is where we start.
No contracts for next season, the team should be fighting to do well and earn a contract otherwise their weekly rate will reduce by 75%. Miller is the only one putting in a shift thus far.

Agree0 Disagree0

I will say this to anyone who thinks we should go into the Premiership next year - Which Rangers player is good enough, at the moment, to play in the Premiership? I'll put it another way - if Rangers players are up for sale, which they were, which Premiership club would put an offer in?

1, 2, 3, 4 or 5?

I say a big fat zero!

Agree0 Disagree0

If King and The Three Bears take control, which is now the only way for Rangers to survive, they will not be able to turn round Rangers total footballing capitulation even if Rangers managed somehow to get into the playoffs and get promoted - that scenario now seems beyond the Rangers players.

Agree0 Disagree0

Another record for this team - first time ever to be beaten three times in the league by one team!

How many records will be set before we get rid of this pestilence that has enveloped and devoured The Famous Glasgow Rangers.

I feel for McDowall - he is a coach not a manager. He wants to leave so much it hurts. The Bored are so effin shocking. I think I will phone the polis to get them arrested for neglect in the extreme!

Agree0 Disagree0

If King and The Three Bears do not get control then The Famous Glasgow Rangers will go the way of Third Lanark
It will be like water going down the drain without a plug to stop it.

If anyone has any money to spare then buy Rangers shares - remember the only shares that are on sale are coming from those shareholders who are not Rangers minded.

If our egm does go ahead and we get the result we all want ie.king, murray & gilligan as our new board of directors the first thing they MUST do is identity & appoint a new rangers manager, it would give the new manager time to assess the squad and which players if any he'd like to keep for the massive rebuilding job he has in front of him, it also allows him to look at what he needs for next season and who knows he might win us promotion through the play offs with his different ideas & coaching methods, ed, I would narrow it down to five candidates that have the credentials to be our next manager ie.billy davies, derek mcinnes, stuart mccall, ian cathro & davie weir, could you run a poll on these 5 please ed, cheers!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed039's Note - Poll up - remember guys if you want specific voting polls please just ask)

Sorry Tommie disagree, I loved WS an he will always be a legend, as far as player quality is concerned, he started the ' player that can play in a number of positions theory' I want a right back that is a right back (Fernando being the last one), and a central midfielder that is a central midfielder, ally and Jenny just followed their 'boss'

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Feb 2015 20:12:36
Fernando being a right back?? He played more games in midfield an he was a terrible right back some people have short memories

Agree0 Disagree0

Dick Advocaat brought in Fernando. Mcliesh used him as a midfielder mostly.

I'd play a Gasparotto, Stoney or Walsh tonight. We have to change things and mix things up or risk losing for the 3rd time in a row to Hibs.

Favouritism out the window I hope and do what almost every single Rangers supporter has been asking for years. Maybe we have a Harry Kane.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed039's Note - Your post was excellent until the last sentence)

Gasparotto and stoney are out on loan are they not?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed039's Note - Airdrie and Stranraer respectively)

13 Feb 2015 11:22:37
With the injuries announced ahead of tonight's game I don't know about other Bears but I think the defence looks stronger if this is how it turns out! Robinson; Faure, McGregor, Zaliukas, Wallace.

If only McDowall would bring back Mackay and play him and Templeton in the middle and play two up front (Clark & Daly) we might actually beat Hibs! Too much to wish for I guess.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

13 Feb 2015 11:54:53
Temps has thigh injury but Vulic could take his place problem is mid field that where battle has to be won i'd play nicky clark up front to help aging strikers and consider bringing back faure putting daly at centre back with macregor but then again iam only a fan not a manager

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Feb 2015 14:16:06
Doiger Cammy Bell will start. Lee Robinson looked terried on his last performance when Simonsen dove in to the post remember? anyway Bell is back to ful training, a goalkeeper unlike an outfield player does not need to be "match fit" like an outfield player. I heard Foster and Moshni are also injured. I don't know if Smith is fit again but reckon we will go with:

GK Bell,
Def: Smith, Mbabu, McGregor Wallace
MID: Law, Vuckic, Black, Hutton
Forward: Daily, Miller

But I would go 4-3-3 I would bring calum gallagher in, play him on right instead of black with Daily in the middle and Miller on the left. I personally think Miller is the only one out there trying to make something happen , shouting at other players.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed039's Note - It has been confirmed that Robinson is starting tonight, Bell is not deemed fit enough yet. Confirmed by Gordon Durie)

Peeny arcade though a goal keeper doesn't need to be fully fit(leg injury could prevent kick outs) I think bells injury as a different kettle of fish mate, he had an operation on his shoulder and though he is back in training I don't imaging McDowell would be mad enough to give him the jersey, but like most ime dying for him to be match fit.

Agree0 Disagree0

Funny I was thinking that too though Zaliukas seems to be AWOL?

Faure was obviously 'banned' by ally and pals after 'Cakegate" so unlikely though I would have the four you list as our defence all the time with Bell when fit.

Then Law Hutton Vukic Temps midfield with Clark and Miller/Daly up front

All that said our woes are management/coaching based so with no game plan or tactics ever in evidence I can't see us playing well and winning again until after the EGM and new management in place

On the EGM I hope this 1 WEEK delay does not change the EGM date of 6th March? ED do you know if that date has to be stuck to when venue found that is inconvenient enough?

i am george

Agree0 Disagree0

Mbabu is NOT fit- it has already been said in all the daily's that only Vuckic of the loanees is fit

Agree0 Disagree0

I would go with

Robinson
Smith zal McGregor Wallace
Law Murdoch Hutton Aird
Vuckic
Clark

Simonsens ban could be the break that lee Robinson has needed get him some game time he can't be any worse that that plank. I remember a time we always had the best keepers apart from watereus he was dreadful.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Really don't know why some people are so outraged with Simonsen. Yes there is a blanket ban on football betting amongst players but look at his supposed crime.

55 bets totalling just 205 pounds, That's less than 2 quid a bet.
Of those 55 only one of them was on teams playing in Scotland and that was premier division.

He did not bet against his own team or games he was involved in or even any competition he is involved in.

This is totally different to the Ian Black scenario.

Surely all Simonsen can be accused of is stupidity as he should have been aware of the strict rules. But for all those people calling for him to get sacked or to be banned for even longer. That is a massive over reaction and just bonkers.

Agree0 Disagree0

Its a joke Dunc, we want him banned longer because he's a lump a wid.Nothing to do with betting.

Agree0 Disagree0

My gripe isn't really with The gambling it the fact he's rank rotten between the sticks. Regardless how much bets cost it's still breaking the rules could still affect outcome of matches in sfa eyes.

Agree0 Disagree0

Blackout. You are right! I remember in the 50s and 60s we had the like of Niven and Ritchie in goal and of course then we had big Peter McCloy, Andy Goram and Stefan Klos.

Agree0 Disagree0

He has been pretty useless but I don't have much faith in Robinson either. Let's hope I'm proved wrong.
With these three games in hand we do still have a chance but we need a drastic turn around in form.

All of this talk of a crisis at the back, Am I right in thinking we still have Wallace, Faure, Zaliukas and Mcgregor fit?
With also Smith and Daly who could do a shift there?

Agree0 Disagree0

Dunc although he is the worst keeper we had, I think he should have got a longer ban, to say he never new the rules is wrong, after all his team mate was banned for the same thing, maybe the s.f.a.were gave him the break because they want to see him in goal, known that with him in goal the opposition are almost certainly going to score lol.

Agree0 Disagree0

Simonsen-
Does the guy know he can come of his line?

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Feb 2015 12:25:07
Chris Woods was another class act as well. Re-the Hibs game, like most people, I think the banning of these players will shake things up a bit and I'm actually looking forward to the game. Pity McDowall hadn't already done this. He's been far too loyal to players that let McCoist and him down. If he'd changed things about a bit and still failed at least everybody would've applauded him for trying something different. I think Hibs might be in for a surprise as quite liked the look of the new boy Vuckic. How does this team look? Robinson, Faure, McGregor, Zaliuskas, Wallace, Templeton, Law, Vuckic, Smith, Miller and Daly

Agree0 Disagree0

Hungry wall end I posted the very same thing last week after his performance, though I think I posted the same thing a while ago, he is definetely the worst keeper ever to play for our club.

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Feb 2015 15:39:28
Live known football players all my life, coming from north Glasgow I nwow many and I'm related to 2, don't know of any of them who doesn't do a coupon on match day, its a simple interest, a hobby, so long as it doesn't get out of hand, the rules should simply cover major betting or games in ure league which u may sumhow can influence, strange to me knowing football's s, that it seems to be Rangers players who get caught, and they seem to know how many bets and how much?, a rat is smelling somewhat

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Feb 2015 00:29:43
I really hope that any shareholders / fans behave if they go to the EGM, wherever it may be.
Us rangers fans don't have the best of reputations due to things like the trouble in Manchester after the final, the idiots who got into Ibrox after the recent postponed Hearts game, especially when it's shown on tv.
Over the last few years our club has been ripped to pieces and everyone is sick of it. and fair enough tempers have boiled over. But let's all be on the best of behaviour and hope the EGM goes Kings way and we can attempt to forget the **** that have ripped this club apart and move forward.
