Any news on what is going on with MOH?

13 Jan 2017 23:14:12
He's meant to be going on loan but he's in the park and they can't catch him. 👍

14 Jan 2017 17:25:35
they still owe money to st johnstone i heard so they have to give hime back

13 Jan 2017 19:57:30
Garner was supposed to have a scan on his shoulder on Wed but nothing has been said any clues to how he is

14 Jan 2017 01:40:21
I think the club doctor is waiting on his x-ray specs coming in the post.

14 Jan 2017 02:47:53
Hopefully out for few month, so we buy a striker that can put the ball in the net. or should i say get a striker on loan.

14 Jan 2017 06:49:58
Hes away to see a specialist mate

14 Jan 2017 08:49:22
I hope it is not the same specialist as Rossiter or he could be out for months before we know the extent of his injury!

14 Jan 2017 10:20:06
The doctor has come back with a report that Garner he a suffered a massive chip!

13 Jan 2017 19:28:11
Toral says he hopes that

"Rangers are a stepping stone to Arsenal first team"

I hope this loan is a stepping stone to Rangers

13 Jan 2017 21:26:09
Think this will be a good one and help us go up a gear and secure second place.

13 Jan 2017 17:34:48
Questions about the 2 young lads on loan for six months. Will they adapt to Scottish football? Will they get injured as that seems to be the norm, wether it's playing or at training? Will they indeed get a game? 6 months loan deals, is that what Rangers are reduced to?

13 Jan 2017 18:27:22
Well it's the easiest thing they can access right now, so if it works for this season and helps us in midfield and to get 2nd, fair enough.

13 Jan 2017 18:34:32
Gor, to your final question, the answer is undoubtedly, YES we are. Sad but true, we are a total joke.

13 Jan 2017 20:00:18
When we should be building for the future were reduced to short term fixes. These players who are on loan will need replaced next season and we need to start all over again. not good

13 Jan 2017 23:08:35
More people would be laughing if we were pissing money that we don't have up the wall.

I definitely disagree that we are a joke. We are second in our first season back and we are halfway through the season.

This ridiculous arrogance is what nearly cost us our club in the first place.

If there is money to spend on players, it will be. Hopefully King prioritises paying wages, bills and running the club on and off the pitch before buying players we shouldn't.

14 Jan 2017 00:07:51
I totally agree with the short term loans at the moment hopefully be enough to secure us the second spot. Then next season when we hopefully progress to group stages in Europe we can start to build a better squad and add some quality. Having the Europe carrot will help bring in a better standard of player. As for king and Co all the fans that keep getting on his case I really don't understand. How many players have been signed since he took control no other club in scotland have matched us with signing and all of this has been done with no European money or merchandise money. I think these fans want him to pump 20 to 30 million instantly and what if that doesn't work out as money doesn't always get u success. There isn't a line of investors out there ready to pump money into the club. All I can say is well done to the board keep up the great work and keep improving our team

14 Jan 2017 01:33:07
Hang on Arafat bob your comparing apples with oranges. because some folk want a bit of investment doesn't mean they are advocating the nonsense fees of the past. Calm yourself down your always ranting like this, we only want a bit of investment in our beloved team is that so wrong?

14 Jan 2017 03:43:23
Some fans here are agreeing these short term loans are ok. I have to disagree for a few reasons. Hopefully we will finish 2nd and have european football. Those rounds are going to start sometime in June so we are going to have new experienced players in place, not more any kind of loans.

We need players of quality if we want to progress in europe. There are 4 qualifying rounds to get through then you start making money. In my opinion we will be back to the same position as we were in the summer try to get new players and for the team to gel before the qualifiers begin.

14 Jan 2017 08:28:04
Stewartyblue

Your in fantasy land if you think qualifying for the preliminary rounds will get a better type of player in. The qualifying rounds. The current squad is no better than the Aberdeen or Hearts teams and neither of them got anywhere near the group stages. Unless we actually qualify for the group stages there is no money to be made in the europa league so don't bank on that for money or players.

14 Jan 2017 08:33:26
Spencer65,

I have to ignore what you are saying because you clearly haven't read any of my other posts.

Everyone wants investment, in my original post I am talking about investment (wages and bills are investing in people and infrastructure)

I can't say I have ever read anything from yourself, you seem well informed though and I look forward to seeing your opinion on other posts.

14 Jan 2017 08:58:56
Some money has to be made available for players either in the summer, or preferably in the run up to the end of season and we need to be bringing in players on pre-contracts that will serve us well for maybe a season that can then be sold on at a substantial profit.

That money can then be reinvested in better players and so on.

As I understand it, McParland was brought in because of his ability to find quality young players, well it is about time we saw this in reality!

If we are to challenge Celtic next season and put some distance between us and the rest of their challengers and if we are to do anything in Europe then we will need at least four quality players for next season including a centre back, a Holding Midfield player, a central midfield played and a striker and that presupposes that guys like Rossiter will be fit, that Crooks will come back and that Krancjar returns fully match fit.

We need to replace Miller with a quality striker, we can't expect him to be our best attacker every season!, if we don't keep the two lads that are on loan then we need to replace them with the same or a better standard. We need to replace Hill and they need to be a first team starter and we must replace Halliday.

14 Jan 2017 09:04:47
Stewie25, we have got a better squad than both aberdeen and hearts and have no doubt they'll go on to prove it, by finishing 2nd in the league! A wee trip to specsavers wouldn't go amiss for your good self mate!

14 Jan 2017 14:42:49
@ Tomusa.

I don't think McParland is quite what people suggest he is either. However I do think we lack a scouting system to support him fully. Which is a disgrace really. The money that went out to Barton could have helped go towards a proper scouting network!

13 Jan 2017 15:09:10
regarding crooks, I know the boys been unlucky with injuries but my gut feeling is if he couldn't break into our current midfield then he must be honking. Hope I'm proved wrong but doubt it . Cheers everyone.

13 Jan 2017 15:14:51
He's not exactly match fit either which doesn't help. put him on loan for 6 months at a decent level, hopefully he can make it into their first team and push on from their, Davie Weir rates Crooks highly from what I remember.

13 Jan 2017 06:24:12
when are we geting a spine? looks like we got a couple of skillful guys but remain spineless. see posts saying our gk doing well, yea he had a few faultless games but jurys out for me, in defence big clint is ok but sureley not what we would want to rely on for next season at his age, andy the rangers fan not an enforcer for me., joey g breenges about wins a few headers but i'm not sure he is the standard we require

13 Jan 2017 08:58:17
Good post. The manager has had 18 months to try and get a spine to the team and has failed

13 Jan 2017 10:23:59
I really like warburton but you make a decent post, most managers build from the back and at first make them hard to beat then deal with the strikers, but he's the gaffer and he will live or die by his decisions, as they say

13 Jan 2017 10:32:14
Excellent post, we are crying out for a quality Centre back and have been in dire need to sign a quality holding / defensive midfield player since the day that Warburton arrived.

13 Jan 2017 11:44:40
I agree with the post 100% but for the defensive midfield spot he did sign 2 players for that position in the summer. Jordan Rossiter who once fit will dictate our midfield for years to come until he gets sold back to the premiership and the other one who just didn't work out
I whole heartedly agree about cf and cb positions tho. I think Wilson would be decent with a no nonsense ball winner beside him and from what I've seen despite all our signings Kenny Miller is still our best striker which is a shame!

13 Jan 2017 13:05:55
When will young rossiter be fit. Just seems odd a calf injury taking so long to clear up. I've seen guys with broken legs come back quicker its really frustrating the boy looks a player.

13 Jan 2017 13:36:40
To complete with Celtic next year we need two quick powerful centre halfs and Kieran and Wilson as back to up! In midfield we need a player maker sitting nxt to rossister and hopefully that could be hourihane! Also a midfielder in the number 10 mould who will get score and create goals because unfortunately holt isn't the answer! The front three Barry McKay is the only one we have with any true class so we definitely need a striker who will gang in 20-30 goals a season!

13 Jan 2017 14:05:46
Vanbasten9.

Challange Celtic, with what, washers, there's no funding available to pay your debt's let alone buy decent players.

If you haven't the cash to pay a £40,000 bill for damages, where are you getting the millions needed to buy a team that can challange us.

The rangers board should issue you all with a sincere apology for the embarrassment caused to you all. Not paying your debts to your bitterest rivals, and then seeing your dirty washing displayed in public, again and again. Does your chairman and board have no dignity at all, or are they just full of bullshit, similar to the previous regime.

Its so sweet being a bhoy at the moment.

13 Jan 2017 14:28:43
Millions to challenge Celtic, are you having a laugh? Why do Celtic fans seem to think their team is outstanding? Minus that of Dembele you have a Championship team. If Rangers spent their wage budget wisely we could have 3 or 4 Championship players in for the summer.

13 Jan 2017 14:54:47
Millions? Celtic only paid £500,000 for Dembele. There's a whole world of good enough players to challenge for the league at lower prices. Remember we had a bad start, many new players, Barton fiasco. We will start much stronger next season, and likely with a couple more added over the summer.

13 Jan 2017 15:38:57
I am amazed at £40,000 to redo the toilets, the entire stadium didn't cost that!

13 Jan 2017 15:23:11
He would have had a spine by now if it weren't for injuries and the joey barton scenario etc! IMO warburton has been unlucky on that score! Think about it, barton, rossiter, crooks etc. The spine would have been foderingham, hill, rossiter/ barton garner!

13 Jan 2017 15:32:57
The players we just signed are currently loaned to us, obviously at present for this season, not next . The manager in my opinion is doing his best to bring players in on a very limited budget so trial and error will have to be the way for now surely. And hopefully working on more signings where possible in the summer. Totally fed up with the negativity -bad enough from the self proclaimed "world beaters" in the east end, but even more so from our own fans.
There was never going to be a quick fix for this anyone who thinks we should go back to spending what we don't have is mad!

13 Jan 2017 15:25:46
Jaws, i actually heard a story yesterday that young jordan rossiter is homesick and wants to move back down to england! Don't know if there's any truth in it but there you go, that's what i got told yesterday. Would explain though why its taking him so long to get over a calf injury, just like you said mate!

13 Jan 2017 16:23:20
boy scout, old firm games are not won with money!
all we need to do is be more consistent in beating the rest of the Scottish teams and let the old firm games decide it like the good old days where neither set of fans knew the outcome before a ball was kicked. as it stands right now I hate it and if I was a celtic fan i'd prefer a good challenge and i'd miss that as its no fun when u know that your going to win .
its not a very good game if there is no challenge

13 Jan 2017 16:29:26
Iamnoboyscout, absolutely howling! Take Dembele and Sinclair out you're team the celtic are nothing but average! 5 qualifiers for the bhoys next year champions league and if celtic fail Dembele will be sold to cover the loss and also to fill up Peter liewells offshore bank accounts "once again" lol.

13 Jan 2017 16:28:27
Banter is great, but please address the reason why the damages were not paid quietly and without issue, as has been done in the past by both managements?

Simple answer, no funding available.

13 Jan 2017 17:21:53
Supercooper

That's a really poor spine of a team

Foderingham- no better than average
Hill - 38 years old and a stop gap player
Rossiter - unproven injury prone player
Garner - non scoring striker

It's no wonder we are so far behind them if that's the best we have

13 Jan 2017 17:19:15
Can I just ask, boy scout are you on the Celtic board or are a secret member of our board, perhaps?

If not either can you tell me exactly and I do mean exactly given your latest post how you know what the cause of the non payment for the damage to the toilets is. Here's a possible reason (note I say possible because unlike you I don't pretend to have inside know ledge of my club) - say for example your club quoted what our club sees as an extortionate amount for the repairs which our club disputes as unreasonable but to get your own way you are withholding part of the gate and leaked it to the press to embarrass us.

Less simple answer than yours but still plausible, IMHO. Over to you with the proof and I do mean proof (not one of your smart arse, piss taking rejoinders) that my reason is less accurate than yours!

13 Jan 2017 18:42:13
Look Baden Powell's sister, your pathetic posts are not banter, but an attempt to rub it in when this giant is at a low ebb. Just remember that an injured giant will bite you when least expect, so be careful with your actions, as a fall from where you see you are, can be a very precarious drop.

13 Jan 2017 20:08:16
Vanbasten, "if u take Dembele and Sinclair out the team you are average", that's a very strange comment to make.
You could say the same about Barcelona take out MSN, or Real and take out Ronaldo.
Its called living in La La land its not the real world. Coincidentally a place you all seem to be living in esp with all your quotes pre season of "we will challenge Celtic, we will win the league, we are not miles behind, there is no gap etc.
It goes on and on some of the statements from here.
If we are average without them, then by your own admission we must be above average with them.
Your club doesn't seem to live in the real world, (constant litigation, non paying debts, living outwith its means, we will spend 30m, we will learn from this), the list never ends.
So I don't know why I should expect the fans to live there either.

13 Jan 2017 21:45:05
Stewie25,i agree that its nowhere near the greatest spine of a rangers that i've ever seen since going to see glasgow rangers but i'm merely pointing out that the spine would have been a good bit better than what it is if he didn't have as many injuries! Obviously i can only go on players that are currently with rangers! Hope that clears it up for you mate!

14 Jan 2017 10:31:06
Our whole club requires a spine, not just the team!
