13 Jan 2018 23:32:21
We go cheap on earlobe cause scottish teams rip us off. We should be going for Dundee’s Kamara . Impressive against us Celtic and Aberdeen. Ex arsenal strong. Great second half against barzilian champions today good squad. Some need to go not good enough

13 Jan 2018 22:00:09
So tell me this, have we won the Florida cup tourney? As in the website it says the team with most points after 2 games and we're sitting top with 6 points but by the looks of it there's teams that haven't even played yet? Or maybe the results just haven't been up loaded yet or I could've something to do with the time difference and the matches are being played now.

I know the tournament has no great significance but it's always good to see your club win a trophy. And hopefully it will install more confidence in the players to kick on in the second half of the season and get that gap closed.

14 Jan 2018 01:03:31
Iv been trying to find this out also but I think it's out of us and barcalona the Columbian side both have six points but not sure what happens now.

14 Jan 2018 01:08:30
From what I can see wee will finish top if the Ecuadorean Barcelona don’t win on Monday and even if they do we could still take it on goal difference.

14 Jan 2018 06:46:28
Im sure i read we are 6 points and +3 goals so unless somebody wins by more we win it, it is a bit confusing to be fair with not a lot of info on it

15 Jan 2018 12:11:11
Its a bit of a daft set up but every team is given their chosen games and whoever has most points out of the 2 games wins the cup. 3 points for win, 1 point for a draw but goes to pens and whoever wins the pens can pick up another 1 point. If Barcelona SC beat Fluminense on Monday by 3 goals they could beat us by goal difference. If they only score 2 goals and match our goal difference and they are joint 1st then it comes down to whos scored most goals overall and whos conceeded most. Lol basically we need fluminese to beat or draw to barcelona sc then we win it. 😁

13 Jan 2018 20:24:59
I’ll get slaughtered for this but I think Halliday was good for us n will help us push for 2nd

Thought guys?

13 Jan 2018 20:47:04
Said much the same after Thursday’s game and was criticized. Scottish lads are always the easy target. Would rather have him in the squad than not

13 Jan 2018 20:52:11
If halliday plays further forward for us he could chip in with a few goals as the lad can shoot

13 Jan 2018 21:05:21
Good result today 2 nil down and come back with 4 goals some good football from rangers in the second half

13 Jan 2018 22:07:13
Halliday done ok but still holds on to the ball way to long and try’s to draw a foul instead of playing the pass

13 Jan 2018 22:36:37
That's 3 superb results in our last 3 outings. The draw at Parkhead and 2 wins in the States. Albeit these were two friendlies against Brazillian teams in pre season and probably didn't have their first 11 out nevertheless these Brazillian teams are no mugs. We just have to keep up the consistency and replicate the effort from the last 3 games into every match.

13 Jan 2018 23:37:50
Im with u mate!

14 Jan 2018 00:06:09
Halliday is just like every other guy on this forum.

Rangers through and through.

14 Jan 2018 00:14:27
We never played our first 11 at any point either. Both wins were well deserved.

13 Jan 2018 23:58:07
At least we agree on some things calvin55!

13 Jan 2018 20:15:11
Anybody know why Ryan Hardie not given a run out in Florida?

13 Jan 2018 20:36:46
Fair point. Something tells me he's never going to get a chance. Sorry DOIGER.

13 Jan 2018 20:58:35
I heard ryan hardie is going on loan to hamilton accies as part of the deal with us signing greg docherty!

13 Jan 2018 21:16:14
I heard something very similar. didn't know it was Hardie though.

13 Jan 2018 22:07:32
Funnily enough I was thinking it might do Barjonas good to go to Accies for the rest of the season!

13 Jan 2018 22:54:05
Commonsense, i actually heard that the player we were originally loaning to hamilton accies, as part of the greg docherty deal, was young jamie barjonas! I then heard there was a change of thought and that it was indeed ryan hardie, who was likely going on loan to them!

13 Jan 2018 23:32:20
Aye he’s not good enough

13 Jan 2018 23:56:26
Would be a good move for hardie, win win for us if that's true coop.

14 Jan 2018 00:07:39
Thanks guys, if true hope he only goes to Hamilton on loan and not on permanent part exchange for the boy Docherty.

13 Jan 2018 20:20:21
Outstanding performance tonight against the Brazilian champs. I know it is their pre season but it was for a trophy. I thought we were well worth the win and that it was a false scoreline at half time if we can just iron out the defensive lapses. Tell you what - if we can carry that sort of spirit and enthusiasm into the second half of the season you just never know. Very impressed with Murphy and Goss and thought Morelos was unplayable. Young Bates was brilliant after the last match where he struggled with his passing. And what about Dalcio? Turns out there is a player there! Thought he was a handful and obviously he has impressed the manager during the trip as he probably got more game time than anybody else.
Any dark side followers looking in will no doubt play that performance down, but tell you what, they were probably only watching to see us fall on our face. Surely that performance must have them thinking. Can anyone believe the difference from Pedro's pathetic Progres tie to these 2 Florida Cup performances? Just a quick note to congratulate Andy Halliday - the lad has taken a lot of stick from the support, most of it unwarranted. Well done Andy boy, I thought you were immense and what a finish! That's the secret - play the guy in the right position to get the best out of him.
Well done Graham Murty - spot on mate.

13 Jan 2018 20:45:46
Well said Seeker, Murty keeps saying it, it’s all about intensity, work rate and quality! I’ll settle for the first 2 every week though! Well played Rangers!

13 Jan 2018 20:52:17
Totally agree on all counts - amazing when you play players in their natural positions . Think goss looks decent - halftime scoreline was false - nico poor for first goal not tracking the runner along with Tav caught under the ball - get rid of Herrera alves, Cardoso and use money to being in docherty naismith hendry Martin - time to close that gap

13 Jan 2018 21:01:31
Well put seeker! Totally agree with everything you said mate!

13 Jan 2018 21:06:49
Great result well done rangers

13 Jan 2018 23:33:41
Agree the seeker

13 Jan 2018 23:42:43
I love seeing my team win any game but let's just remember it was only a friendly. i want to see us beating teams in the spl consistently where it really matters and stop stumbling to the likes of hamilton, killie, dundee etc. we know there's a decent squad there but they need to start showing it when the slog of the spl games come around

13 Jan 2018 23:57:13
Spot on seeker. Credit where it is due, halliday has been class both games.

14 Jan 2018 00:03:29
No return for Naismith please. He is injury prone now and we've already nursed him back to full fitness after 2 career threatening injuries. Now he thinks he can swan back into our team. How does he repay us?

14 Jan 2018 00:09:00
Open your eyes guys and forget the holiday hysteria, Bates, Halliday and Dalcio are not first team performers for Rangers. Neither are Kranjcar, Hodson, Herrera, O'Halloran and Cardoso, and only Bates out of that lot ever have a chance of becoming good enough. One Florida swallow does not make a summer, so ask yourselves if any of the above were shown the door, would they be missed? Add Alves and Alnwick to that list of those we need to lose.

In preparation for next season we should recognise that our squad will consist of Foderingham, Kelly, Tavernier, A Wilson, McCrorie, D Wilson, Bates, Wallace, John, Candeias, Jack, Dorrans, Murphy, Windass, Holt, Barjonas, Morelos. I'd love to add Goss to that, leaving room for around six new signings that will strengthen the team. Then we could have a squad that is worthy of the challenge.

14 Jan 2018 00:10:41
Get off the players backs. fresh start for all. let's see what we can do second half of season.
Knew too many foreign players to bed in. So glad Pedro gone as seemed totally clueless.
Sign from league if fair price if not do deals elsewhere.

14 Jan 2018 00:15:46
Yes, encouraging performance and agree Halliday did well. Just listened to Murty’s post match interview, asked about Halliday scoring replies with a smirk on his face "yes but it not in a league match", brilliant.

14 Jan 2018 06:28:00
No hysteria about Halliday mate. He deserves a clean slate the same as everyone else. All people are saying is he's done his chances no harm with his performances last two games that's all.

13 Jan 2018 20:11:13
Well played rangers excellent 🇬🇧🇺🇸

13 Jan 2018 20:09:18
First of all let's not get carried away, it's a pre-season tourney for the Brazilians and it was probably their 2nd 11 in the 2nd half. I feel the two games have been a valuable experience playing against a different style under different conditions with a mixture of first team, fringe, and youth players, most of whom acquitted themselves very well.
El Buffalo will definitely benefit from the added creativity of Murphy and Goss who looks really good, credit to Halliday also. Some lovely goals and we may end up with a trophy to show for it. It can't do our image any harm either.

Keep Believing.

13 Jan 2018 20:18:47
turning it around in the second half to win the game give the players a confidence boost dalcio seems to be getting a fair crack in these games aswell espically today i like his direct style and could be like a new signing if get him performing

13 Jan 2018 20:21:38
im hearing a few reports of the dalcio putting in a decent showing too?

13 Jan 2018 20:27:27
Yes BigMarv05,totally agree mate! We can't get carried away with a friendly tournament but was pleasantly surprised and pleased by our 2 performances over in the florida cup! I really like the look of sean goss! I already wish we could keep this young fella, permanently! We now know what michael carrick, paul scholes and nicky butt told us about young goss! He has a terrific range of passing, short and long and his deliveries are very good! He will be superb for us i feel, just sitting, like his idol michael carrick used to do for man utd! Just sitting in front of the defence, dictating play, and hardly giving the ball away, keeping possession, pinging balls long and short with his terrific array of passing!

13 Jan 2018 23:58:44
The delivery for the first goal was outstanding, finish to match as well. Impressive stuff.

13 Jan 2018 20:09:05
Great 2nd half 4-2 rangers team coming together well a few more players in and who knows? How far we can push other teams 🔴⚪🔵🔴⚪🔵

13 Jan 2018 20:05:09
Waow how good was that! Rangers were terrific, playing with pace and energy pressing the play all over the pitch . Really pleasing on the eye. I thought even in the first half we were decent . Every time I see Bates the lad impresses me thought he was superb. Well done GM, and well done Rangers. c'mon us.

13 Jan 2018 23:44:07
I thought we actually played well the 1st half and really unlucky to be 2 down.

13 Jan 2018 20:04:24
Well didn't expect that been 2 nil down but well done rangers thought we were the better team in both half's hopefully we can keep playing well when we get back to league games. Even dalcio had a decent game.

13 Jan 2018 20:03:48
Well what do we make of that performance? 2-0 down after 45mins and that wasn't a true reflection as we had a bad 15mins ( as usual ) then come out second half and blitz it! Few positives I noticed but I shall hear others before I say!

13 Jan 2018 20:02:00
just watched second half on some Brazilian channel, we looked very impressive, high pace, high pressing game, four excellent goals (haven't said that for a while! ) we definitely dominated possession, let's keep it up!

13 Jan 2018 20:34:36
Can anyone tell me the last time a Rangers side came back from 2-0 down to win a match?

13 Jan 2018 19:57:34
Rangers 2018 Florida cup champs?

13 Jan 2018 16:33:19
Who plays upfront when Morels gets injured.

13 Jan 2018 17:29:49
Herrera and windass - I understand your point we need another striker would suggest Naismith but think he's more of a number 10 than a 20 goal a season striker. Moult would have been good.

13 Jan 2018 19:59:54
who shd we get . cummings

the lad looks like he’s got it - left out forrest squad today by new manager

get him in even a loan - younger version of naisy great composure in the box and can finnish

13 Jan 2018 15:43:29
Are back up right back and a striker to play up with Morelos when required

13 Jan 2018 23:45:09
Yyler Roberts

13 Jan 2018 15:42:31
Hope we get Docherty deal done and think it will have been good business so far in the window, for me he provides a great option in midfield where our middle 3 of the 5 would probably be McCrorie/ Dorrans/ Jack when all fit. He could fill any of these roles as could Holt and who knows he may kick on and make the jersey his own!

I think the next positions that need addressed a

13 Jan 2018 12:11:18
Ali Crawford seems to be out of contract at the end of the season?

Surely we should be looking into a pre contract there.

13 Jan 2018 12:56:04
No. A couple of years ago I'd have agreed but looking at him He's 27 this year so not a young lad anymore and he never seems to be linked with moves away. As a squad players on very low wages maybe but I'd rather use one of our own young lads for that

13 Jan 2018 14:16:06
Yes, a lot of hype about him but I never really saw why. Not for me.

13 Jan 2018 14:48:54
Ali crawford isn't rangers class mates! He now honestly looks as if he's going back the way!

13 Jan 2018 10:03:29
I hope Rangers get Docherty but there is a dilemma. The nasty, greedy Scottish teams will try and squeeze as much out of us as they can so do we pay their asking price or bid what we think he is worth and walk away if they try to play silly persons? With Murphy, Goss and Docherty and maybe Naismith plus Dorrans and Wallace to come back from injury, I think the rest of the season could be very interesting indeed.

13 Jan 2018 10:47:41
Still think final 3rd is lacking. , Morelos is good but not at his best yet I don’t think and certainly not by himself. Think we need an old fashion box striker

13 Jan 2018 11:29:46
To be fair to hamilton they deserve a good price for the guy, i can see where your coming from ie walker deal etc but lower teams i don't actually mind paying good money for, for hamilton 800k is a lot of cash and will go far, i'm actually just glad we might get him how many times have we said we should of went for a player that cost pennies, if an english team comes in we can't compete, so we have to act quick and not mess about

13 Jan 2018 12:09:55
You've got to keep things in perspective. What did we pay the Mexican teams for two very suspect players yet we didn't go for walker at 300K. We didn't try and compete for Moult at 500K and are not interested in McLean. If Docherty's worth 600K pay it. Morelos is a good signing but one of the worst headers of a ball for a striker I've ever seen. I think only Waghorn beat him to that acclaim. For those who weren't around there was a 16 year old named Derek Johnstone once upon a time.

13 Jan 2018 12:58:30
So when we are selling players i. e. Windass if he goes? we expect millions? but when it comes to us buying (cough cough couch splutter) excuse me I almost chocked there. we expect to get players for hundreds thousands/? and have the hard neck to call them greedy? omg DOIGER get a bloody grip man.
As for buying anyone/? have we won the lottery or something? our last foray on transfer market with Murphy ended up bit embarrassing and became a loan deal instead, can you not realise we appear to be "skint". live within our means. was that not most sensible supporters views in 2012.see that's went bloody well.

13 Jan 2018 13:09:13
I actually think the murphy deal ended up well and good for us

13 Jan 2018 13:58:09
In which way is it good for us? although admittedly we don't actually know the full details of said loan? like most things at our club.
Is it your thinking that if he is "crap" we just hand back? or if he is good and value changes we have already made a deal?

13 Jan 2018 14:52:56
Trust me jamie murphy WON'T be crazy! He'll be a fantastic signing for us! Head and shoulders above anyone at ibrox for the left wing position!

13 Jan 2018 15:30:37
SPIVKING totally agree mate it astounds me how many people can't seem to grasp that we are "skint" but yet its spend spend spend on here, mostly on guff players like Naismith!

13 Jan 2018 15:37:08
I think we’ll end up with a £750k deal for Docherty and a striker on loan before the end of the window and possibly Martin on loan also depending on the terms of the loan which should be favourable as he is off the radar at Norwich and they will at least want him getting game time somewhere surely!

13 Jan 2018 16:43:21
What’s the bets SPIVKING and Calvin55 are sitting opposite each other in Calvin’s green n White covered bedroom waiting on the Rangers game to come on Premier Sports? 🤣🤣🤣

13 Jan 2018 17:40:51
Wee_Bear, People are trying to have a constructive discussion on here, Do your carers know you are on here?

13 Jan 2018 18:41:58
Aye wee bear, prob got matching tracksuits from sports direct. 😂😂👍

13 Jan 2018 18:42:22
Think we buy the boy Docherty from Hamilton and take Naismith and Martin on loan. That would do me.

13 Jan 2018 09:20:26
Still no administration then? Oh what a disappointment for the dark side we await your next made up story saddos!

13 Jan 2018 10:03:04
We can all wait till Monday with baited breath! Lol

13 Jan 2018 14:01:23
MMMMMM don't mock, we didn't believe the nonsense last time, but hey ho our directors are so open and honest with us surely they wouldn't be telling us more porkies. one thing i'd like to say on matter is if they bloody are, not 1 of them or their cronies and that goes for certain fans groups members should never ever be allowed near our club ever again and we the fans should do it ourselves with transparency being the norm, for once.

13 Jan 2018 15:21:59
SPIVKING. A clear troll.

13 Jan 2018 15:36:46
SPIVKING I thought I was the only sensible and rational thinking person on here! Refreshing to see I'm not the only one with my eyes wide open. As for Administration I'm not sure our finances that dire just yet however what I do know is that we can't keep getting by on soft loans as that will never have a happy ending!

13 Jan 2018 16:16:52
Rational thinker😂. You've found someone else that thinks like you and as Bearmode91 says he's a troll😂. Everyone on here realises we're not rolling in cash, to say we're skint clearly isn't accurate as we have been employing several new members of staff, and carrying out work at Ibrox and Auchenhowie. We will soon see retail profits increase and we will have a new share issue. Naismith on loan would hardly have broken the bank. Let's ignore those facts for a minute and think rationally, if we fill our squad with lots of unproven youngsters maybe they'll develop and we'll be rich again😂

13 Jan 2018 16:28:55
Bearmode91, so SPIVKING is a troll because he is honest, lives in the real world and tells it how it is? Sorry but we don't all live in a fantasy bubble like you and others on here other on here! Some on here are a bit more realistic👍 Careful folks don't say anything negative or you'll be accussed of being a troll😂😂

13 Jan 2018 16:55:56
No one said "fill our squad with unproven youngsters and maybe they will improve and we'll be rich again" It makes more sense to try and buy players who are at an age where if they play well we can move them on for a profit! With the retail profits increasing ( when exactly will we see the benefits of that? ) and the prospect of a share issue surely it would be wise to use those profits wisely to ensure our financial stability for years to come instead of wasting it on injury prone, out of form old players😂😂😂

13 Jan 2018 17:38:17
Objecting to signing players on the basis that they have no sell on value will leave you with a squad of unproven youngsters whether you like it or not. It would surely make more sense to look at it holistically and sign players who would improve our team regardless of sell on value (e. g. Murphy/ Naismith), while also speculating with young players who we can sell on in time (e. g. Docherty/ Cole) . But since your the rational thinker on here you'd probably know better than all of us.

13 Jan 2018 18:12:00
BigMarv05 no it won't leave you with a squad of unproven youngsters. As I have posted previously you can have experienced players at 27/ 28 years old that you would still be able to move on for a decent transfer fee. You are forming your opinion that Naismith would do a job for us based on his time with us however that was a considerable number of years ago! Naismith is 32 this year, has been injury prone, out of form and struggling to get game time in a poor Norwich team. It makes no sense wasting money whether it breaks the bank or not on what would effectively be a risk for us on whether he could replicate the form he showed with us years and years ago and that is me looking at it holistically😉

13 Jan 2018 19:08:48
If players of 27/ 28 are any good they will cost far more than we can afford so your argument doesn't make sense. Naismith would improve our team at a low cost. If you don't forgive him for the press conference then that's a different story so fair enough.

13 Jan 2018 19:31:34
Are you saying we can't afford to buy 27/ 28 year olds but only golden oldies? You don't half talk nonsense mate your just living in the past with Naismith. Hope he signs for Hearts and you'll see what I'm talking about!

13 Jan 2018 20:31:40
That's almost exactly what I'm saying. Look at Celtic for example since Rodgers came in they've only been able to sign youngsters or "golden oldies" with the exception of Sinclair who's had a relationship with Rodgers since youth level. The days of signing established players and selling on for profit have gone I'm afraid. If you can name me 1 player of that age group who we could realistically afford and then profit from then I take it all back. You might think they're affordable because you can sign them on Fifa or champ manager but it won't happen in the real world sadly.

13 Jan 2018 22:24:24
Billy Kee, Danny Hylton, Mark McNulty e. g could we afford them? Of course that depends on their clubs valuation of their players and what is our valuation of certain players. But that's just a few players who are doing well in the lower leagues of England who if they came to us, replicated their current form, got European experience then maybe a few championship clubs could be realistic suitors?

Why should I name names surely that's our scouting networks role! Of course the more profit we make on players we get financially better off and can afford better players in the future. We need to identify a buisness model and stick to it unfortunately in MY OPINION that doesn't include golden oldies👍P. S. I wouldn't go us in FIFA or Champ manager lol

13 Jan 2018 22:26:04
Also that has been Celtic's strategy for years!

13 Jan 2018 01:39:18
Rangers should get rid of Herrera he says he's loving life at ibrox he's scored 2 goals in 22 games Christ I wish I was at rangers and coming on in the 85th min play for 10 mins tops then pick up a pay package for 10k a week . Hahaha some people got it easy sign me up I'll run like mad for 10 mins a week.

13 Jan 2018 10:08:51
10 mins at the end of a game does not mean he's played 22 games. Not supporting the boy, he does look like a bit of a donkey when he plays but he hasn't really had a proper chance yet.

13 Jan 2018 11:03:33
Boy needs game time ye cani do much in 5-10 mins he's shown good attributes such as his hold up play ge th boy a chance

13 Jan 2018 13:51:07
He doesn't even run for 10 mins. Sebo laughs at him 😂
