Well fellow Bears, having watched a
couple of interviews with Charles Green.
I have to say, first impressions for me
are positive. Given what we have had to
endure over the past year, we have the
right to be sceptical. However i like what
this man has said and he appears to
be speaking with honesty (as he said
he would do) and with transparency.
What i will say is im worried about Ally's
position as manager given Greens past.
I think it would be soul destroying
should Ally be given the boot after the
year he has had. He deserves other
season at least. Charles would like (i
think) to start with this club, with a clean
slate and all the Bears behind him. However
will this happen if Coisty gets the chop?

Kenny McG

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Ally will have nothing to worry about, and I mean nothing. Green will pick the team. Ask sufc.

Hopefully hmrc will see sense now and sit down for cva talks. Mr Green has said his plan is the same as Bill Miller's if a cva is turned down that will mean hmrc get zero and actually will be out of pocket in legal fees etc.

A cva could bring in up to £32m depending on the outcome of the legal action against Whytes law firm, they have a duty to the public to at least recover something rather than nothing.

On Green himself i'm impressed he seems to have investers from the middle east,Singapore,Indonesia and China in his group and has said Rangers wont be in debt again under his stewardship.

A bright future awaits for Rangers in the next few years, Green has insured that no matter what happens the club will still be around next season and will have all it's assets.

Rusty the tim here!!now now rangers fans calm down now. All I hear just now millionaires, billionaires etc.seriously if they were that wealthy and there about 20 of them why can they only put 8million of there own money in and monies owed just give it about 12million pot for creditors???can't see a cva being agreed plus if tax case goes wrong the tax man will take at least 8million of that.if a newco happens no European football for three years.he's already said the season ticket prices are going up.how many will buy 1 before the 6th???still dark days ahead I think. Rusty we are the real Glasgow green and White the tim

Lot of fans where not that keen on him but thb mate he will put his money where is mouth is as he is not afraid to spend big or he was,nt for us any way....

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Green does not own rangers(ia) he runs the investment fund that bought you

Agree1 Disagree1

Shepherd is pretty much hated in Newcastle after he was taped making obscene derogatory comments about his own fans. If he is involved no surprise he's keeping it quiet. There may be trouble ahead.......

Agree1 Disagree0

@1. since your being picky he doesnt run the group thats bought rangers he is the spokesperson for them. ohh and what you mean with fund? dont you mean group...mark

Does anyone know what the story is with aluko? Is there Any way he will still be with us next season? I know we can't sign any players but the optional 2yr contract extension was in place before the transfer blackout! So does this mean the new owners can offer him the new 2yr deal?
Big C

Believable8 Unbelievable3

We can offer new deals to any player already signed at the club, surely a new deal for Aluko should now be a priority as a few off the big earners will have to move on.

Agree0 Disagree1

Yes they can sign him reason is he was with us have to work out new deal with new owners .. Kenny bluenose

Agree1 Disagree0

We can still sign him as he is a registered player we cant sign any1 knew

TB

Agree0 Disagree1

I take it that we can offer existing players contracts, only we cant sign new players i.e register them with sfa.
only my outlook though

Does this mean we have 'officially' been taken over and are owned by this consortium, NOT Craig Whyte?

CD1872

Believable9 Unbelievable5

Yes,CW shares have been bought for a pound, this was one off the stipulations for a CVA to be granted.

Agree1 Disagree1

No not yet wont happen for a while yet just that its been agreed in princeaple

Agree1 Disagree1

Correct

Agree1 Disagree1

Is that like pineapple ?

Agree1 Disagree0

13 May 2012 18:45:48
Right. Can someone please tell me, has ranger been bought or is the London consortium just been announced preferred bidder? Conflicting stories going about

Believable4 Unbelievable3

They have bought the club how it moves forward depends on a cva

Agree0 Disagree1

Yeah Whyte is gone 100%, Green and his group are the new owners no matter what the outcome of any cva is.

Agree0 Disagree1

Preferred bidder thats agreed but still need to be checked out at both ends

Agree1 Disagree0

Deal agreed, will be stamped in he next two weeks.. Now mention of preferred bidder, just offer accepted

J

Agree1 Disagree0

The consortium now owns Rangers. There is no backing out, either CVA accepted or if not we go down newco route. Either way the consortium are owners. Not CW

Agree2 Disagree1

Rangers have been bought look at greens interview on itv says it himself....mark

Agree0 Disagree1

The deal is said to be "Irevocable", meaning literally, his offer has been accepted, signed, pretty much done. He's contractually bound....did ye no spot the club tie...haha

Agree1 Disagree1

13 May 2012 18:41:30
Are we allowed to give players who are out of contract new ones?guys like aluko?Rosco

Believable4 Unbelievable3

Its a TRANSFER embargo. Aluko is already a Gers player. The embargo doesnt affect renewal of contracts.

Agree1 Disagree2

13 May 2012 18:18:01
well thats the rumours done and dusted mr.charles green has bought us it was announced on bbc radio today and all fellow supporters when next season starts why dont we boycot all away games who ever we play and fill lbrox for every home game that will put the sort out all them who voted for sanctions on us how come its only us that got any sanctions from them in the sfa how come motherwell, livingston, dundee and gretna did nt get a mention only glasgow rangers why was that fellow supporters

Believable10 Unbelievable11

We got sanctions because of Wh*te and non payment to clubs. Not for entering Administration.

Agree1 Disagree0

Why not arrange beam backs, then we can put all of money into Rangers.

Agree3 Disagree0

Thats not very fair on East Stirling ,Peterhead, Albion Rovers etc......Stevie

Agree1 Disagree0

Hope the other chairmen read this crap from clowns like you ,maybe they will vote with dignity as you are not going to attend away games why not demote you to the 3rd

Agree1 Disagree0

Try reading the sfa report

Agree0 Disagree1

Who is glasgow rangers theres no such team FACT

TB

Agree1 Disagree0

Change ibrox name to fantasy island. Boycott away matches ? Is that fair on Elgin city ? Boycott away games and arrange beambacks ? That's a great idea. The clubs whose ground it is would charge most of that money, make more money, and not have to put up with you lot. Win win.

Hopefully Rangers can start to move forward now, how about starting by getting John Greig back in some form.

Believable4 Unbelievable8

Whit position centur mid

Agree2 Disagree0

What! after he sold you down the river with his harpo marx impression? your joking right?

Agree1 Disagree1

No thanks, an average player, a shocking manager, a good captain, but does not deserve a job for life. What exactly did he bring, nothing. Well rid

Agree1 Disagree1

Greig and others knew and walked away they should all hang theirs heads in shame

Agree1 Disagree0

3 he was not an average player there is no way an average player gets voted the greatest ever rangers player

Agree0 Disagree1

He wasn't voted the best ever Rangers PLAYER. He was voted the "Greatest ever Ranger" This was in honour of his contribution as player, manager, and length of service to the club. Get it right.
Optimistic Bear

I saw john greig in his first team debut against airdrie at ibrox think he scored 1 ,game ended 4-2 ,just after sucessful tour of russia ,great captain and player doug t.s.o

For a start the Company Voluntary Arrangement needs to be put in place and it is by no means certain as even Duff and Phelps make very clear: “If the creditors do not approve the Company Voluntary Arrangement, the agreement obliges Charles Green’s purchasing vehicle to acquire the business and assets of the Club on agreed terms, through a newco structure. It is Mr Green’s strong preference to achieve a CVA.”

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Newco all the way

Agree1 Disagree0

Craig whyte still runs the club . this other crooked mob along with administrators are in along with it.

Agree0 Disagree0

13 May 2012 15:44:47
now that charles greene has been installed as front runner, do fellow bears agree the first thing he "must" do , is inform all supporters with the names of everyone in his consort, after the craig whyte fiasco i think he must do this first and foremost quite simply the rangers fans must know all the inns and outs before being expected to fork out hard earned cash for season tickets ect...... we must learn to trust again, and this will only happen with the transparency required urgently.......col.

Believable3 Unbelievable3

He's not front runner,he now owns your ass! has ally asked for the names? he's usually good at that

Agree1 Disagree0

He isnt the frontrunner his consortium owns rangers

Agree0 Disagree0

Sleekit Sally should tell you as he is all for transparency(or is that only when it suits him?)

Agree2 Disagree0

13 May 2012 15:32:20
How likely is this cva of being granted really hope so

Believable3 Unbelievable7

Lottery win is more likely

Agree2 Disagree0

The main problem for a cva now is the time factor, there may not be enough time before the start of next season.any newco route would be the same as bm to preserve the oldco and merge at a later date

Agree0 Disagree0

13 May 2012 15:27:47
Hope Celtic only rented a flagpole. Don't think they will need it for too long.

love the irony, that's us been owned by a green and white haha fingers crossed we get ourselves sorted now but!

Believable1 Unbelievable4

Only if you buy your increased season tickets

Agree0 Disagree0

Mr liewell currently sweating as not many timmys too keen to pay for dearer season books might not be able to pay the overdraft then again can sell hooper for27 mill to team in other galaxy

Do not bury your heads again

Jamie Mac

Believable5 Unbelievable7

Once again more interested in rangers than your own club , must be pure fear , what else can it be

Agree2 Disagree1

What about the other 40 odd companies that weren't liquidated? Selective in the material you choose to focus in on .

Agree0 Disagree0

Thats funny becuase someone else was on here earlier spouting that he had been involved in 40 companies and 15 insolvent.

Good to see Charles Green take over the club, seems to have a lot of big hitters behind him.

"Mystic Stevio" get ready to eat some humble pie.

Believable23 Unbelievable16

Have to admit was very sceptical when I heard about him but after listening to him it actually sounds like he really wants to save us wont get to excited though we have heard it all before

Agree5 Disagree1

Can you name any of these "big hitters"? nah, didnt think so

Agree2 Disagree0

A disagree seems all bait rushed to me an how did he get whites shares for a quid.all bait weary for me.

Agree2 Disagree1

Think most rangers fans will be weary after everything we have had to go through one thing we can be sure of is papers and all the dhims trying to find any little scrap of dirt they can on the guy (a good thing if its relevant to the takeover) just hopeful of a cva now

Agree0 Disagree1

The accepted Rangers bid is brilliant! 20 individuals and families from the UK, the Middle East, the Far East and Asia are in the consortium!

Believable24 Unbelievable12

A line of crooks if Craig whyte has had anything to do with the sell.

Agree1 Disagree3

Do you know any names? cos green aint saying

Agree0 Disagree0

Right so an average of £400k per investor. These are not big investors, if indeed they invest at all. Sounds like one of those collateralised deals where if Green defaults then Rangers becomes the property of someone else like Portsmouth did more than once.

Agree4 Disagree0

Craig whyte has nothing to do with this consortium mr green said he has only spoke to him 2 times last week and this week

SM

Agree0 Disagree0

So it took twenty investors to raise the cash? Green also said on radio anybody with 500k can buy in. This could be interesting

Agree0 Disagree0

13 May 2012 12:04:07
Guys just missed the interview with charlie Green can anyone update me please??

John1glasgow

Believable0 Unbelievable3

Says there are twenty people in consortium, from middle east, far east and uk. Nobody will own more than 15 per cent of club. Says CVA is proposed way and after discussions with major creditors believes that can be achieved. They have a legally binding contract that does not allow walking away. If CVA not accepted will go down the newco route. He states that what we will get from him is the truth, even if we don't want to hear it. He sounds like a straight talking Yorkshire man.

Agree11 Disagree7

Sheffield utd anyone?

Agree1 Disagree0

Well judge him how you will. What he sounds like and what other people who have experience of him say about him both need to be weighed up.

Agree0 Disagree0

@1 of course no one person can own more than 15 percent of the club if there are 20 people in the consortium its basic maths lmfao.

Agree1 Disagree4

@4 your wrong! 1 person could own 62% and the other 19 could own 2% each Or something along those lines so maybe basic Maths is not you strong point

Agree0 Disagree0

5@4 why you slag of 1 post when any fool could work out that you could have more than 15 per cent if all the other people only put in a 2 per cent share that would leave some one with 62 per cent if 20 involved so dont try and be a smart arse

Agree0 Disagree0

It would be arithmetic actually. You have presumed that everyone would have an equal share, silly boy/girl.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lmfao @4 so if somebody puts up £6.6 million and 19 put up £100k they all own 5% FFS return the Seville calculator or put new batteries in it

Agree0 Disagree1

13 May 2012 11:52:28
Here is a post from the "Selik Families" rumour site, I cant believe they have a tricolour incorporated in their new away top.
If Scotland or the UK doesnt appeal to these morons why dont they take their "Club with Irish Roots" and move there, I cant understand for the life of me why they stay in a Country they obviously have no affinity for.
We have Ulster Scots roots and have many fans travel from Ulster to Rangers games, can you imagine the reaction if we incorporated an Ulster Flag in our away top?

Ritchie712

Anyway here it is:

Some more info on the away kit.

The long sleeve does not have the tricolour turn back on the cuff it is only on the short sleeve. There is no 3xl on any of the product, this is a decision made by Nike across all clubs and not a decision made by the club. The little boys/infants kits are still scheduled for the 18th June however the unsponsored jerseys now have an ETA of 4th July.

Jungle Bhoy.

Believable2 Unbelievable19

I remember the out rage when Rangers was with Diadora, think it was season 2002/03 when the away top with Orange, resulting in the Orange top been taking off the market.

Agree6 Disagree3

Ritchie 712 sums up all thats wrong with Rangers. its only colours for christ sake and your club is dying ,I would think you should have better things to worry about

Agree1 Disagree2

This has to be one of the most pathetic and pointless posts I think I have ever read. We have a tricolour cuff on the sleeve of the new to, wow that is such a big deal and is cleary an indication that we want to go and play in ireland. By your way of thinking I could then ask you why on earth did rangers have an orange away top in the past? It's not a colour associated to your club but some would argue it is a tip of the hat to your heritage and origins! At the end of the day it is a football shirt, simple as that!

Agree2 Disagree2

The orange shirt was an homage to the Dutch contingent that was part of the rangers family.

Agree1 Disagree1

With guys who highlight a f##king tricolour on seliks top n start the whole s###e about sending people "back to ireland" we'll never eliminate bigotry from the old firm. who cares?? Im a rangers die hard n wouldn't bother if the selik wore leprechaun outfits tae play fitba against us.....all that matters is that there is an us next season. get a grip pal.
J1985

Agree1 Disagree0

Well queens park had orange and blue to go with the irn bru doug t.s.o

Agree0 Disagree0

Its a big deal when we fly a union jack the flag of our country yes a tricolour is to show your heritage why not put a nice wee union jack next to it and show respect to the country yous play in and the vast majority of your fans were born in

Agree0 Disagree0

Colors dont bother me as ive always been taught green was the Republican color White as a sign of surrender and Orange was the Loyalist color and there is nothing wrong with showing your historical facts

Agree0 Disagree1

To claim the tricolour is on strip as a tribute to 125 th anniversay and their Irish heritage, please answer the following. What was the flag of Ireland in 1888 and why not put that in the kit.

BFH

Agree1 Disagree0

@9: I'm pretty sure the Irish people the club was set up to help didn't have much love for that flag at the time.

Believable11 Unbelievable15

Most big businessmen are involved in some form of insolvent ventures. although i understand your paranoia

Agree0 Disagree0

It's tricky for sure. But D&P now need to convince the creditors it's their best chance.

Remember this isn't just about football.

Agree0 Disagree0

Dissolving companies are business decisons often made by many and has absolutely hee haw to do with being a proper and fit individual, sounds to me like you are a BK fan who were all mouth ans no substance.

Agree1 Disagree0

The is nothing wrong with disolving a company, i have done this three times before. If a company is debt free it can be disolved.

Why can nobody make a quick decision any more?

HMRC - when is the decision to be made, it has been months, why can't they arrive at a decision? How long does it take to read evidence and make a decision?

Duff & Duffers - why can't they decide on a preferred bidder, how long does it take to read an offer and make a decision?

SPL - delay after delay, make a decision!

SFA - delay after delay
